7 耶和華的話臨到我說： 2 “人子啊！主耶和華對以色列地這樣說：
‘終局到了！終局臨到這地的四境了！
3 現在終局已經臨到你了。
我要發怒攻擊你，
按著你的行為審判你，照著你一切可憎的事報應你。
4 我的眼必不顧惜你，我也不憐恤你，
我卻要按著你的行為，照著你中間可憎的事報應你，
你們就知道我是耶和華。’
5 主耶和華這樣說：
‘看哪，災禍，獨特的災禍，臨到了！
6 終局到了，終局臨到了，它已經起來跟你作對。
看哪，它臨到了！
7 這地的居民哪，災害臨到你了！
時候到了，日子近了，
是混亂喧嚷的日子，不是山上歡呼的日子。
8 現在我快要把我的烈怒倒在你身上，
向你完全發盡我的怒氣。
我要按著你的行為審判你，
照著你一切可憎的事報應你。
9 我的眼必不顧惜，我也不憐恤。我卻要按著你的行為，
照著你中間可憎的事報應你，
你們就知道擊打你們的是我耶和華。
罪的懲罰
10 “‘看哪，這日子到了！
災害已經發出，
杖已經開花，
狂傲已經發芽。
11 強暴興起，成了懲罰邪惡的杖，
他們無一存留，他們的群眾都不在了。
他們的財富沒有了，他們中間也沒有尊榮。
12 時候到了，日子近了，
買的不必歡喜，賣的不用憂愁；
因為烈怒要臨到眾人身上。
13 賣的人雖然還活著，
卻不能得回所賣的。
因為這個關乎眾人的異象必不更改。
因為罪孽的緣故，沒有人能保全自己的性命。

14 “‘他們吹了號角，準備了一切，
卻沒有人出去作戰；
因為我的烈怒要臨到眾人身上。
15 城外有刀劍，城內有瘟疫和饑荒；
在田野的必死在刀下，在城裡的必被饑荒和瘟疫吞滅。
16 他們中間逃脫的，必因自己的罪孽在山上發出哀聲，
像谷中的鴿子哀鳴一樣。
17 他們的手都發軟，他們的膝像水一般軟弱。
18 他們必用麻布束腰，戰兢把他們遮蓋，
各人的臉上滿是羞愧，各人的頭上都光禿。
19 他們要把自己的銀子拋在街上，
把自己的金子當作污穢之物。
在耶和華發怒的日子，他們的金銀不能拯救他們，
不能滿足他們的心，也不能填滿他們的肚腹，
因為這些金銀都成了叫他們落在罪孽裡的絆腳石。
20 他們以美麗的飾物為誇耀，
又用這些來鑄造可憎可厭的偶像，
因此我要使它們成為污穢之物。
21 我要把它們交在外族人的手裡作掠物，
給地上的惡人作戰利品，他們必褻瀆這些東西。
22 我必轉臉不看他們，讓他們褻瀆我的聖所。
強盜要進那裡去，褻瀆那地方。
23 你要製造鎖鍊，

24 我要使列國中最兇惡的人來佔領他們的房屋；

The Day of the Wrath of the Lord
7 The word of the Lord came to me: 2 “And you, (A)O son of man, thus says the Lord God to the land of Israel: (B)An end! The end has come upon the four corners of the land.[a] 3 Now (C)the end is upon you, and (D)I will send my anger upon you; (E)I will judge you according to your ways, and I will punish you for all your abominations. 4 (F)And my eye will not spare you, nor will I have pity, but (G)I will punish you for your ways, while your abominations are in your midst. (H)Then you will know that I am the Lord.
5 “Thus says the Lord God: Disaster (I)after disaster![b] Behold, it comes. 6 (J)An end has come; the end has come; it has awakened against you. Behold, it comes. 7 (K)Your doom[c] has come to you, O inhabitant of the land. (L)The time has come; the day is near, a day of tumult, and not (M)of joyful shouting on the mountains. 8 Now I will soon (N)pour out my wrath upon you, and (O)spend my anger against you, (P)and judge you according to your ways, and I will punish you for all your abominations. 9 (Q)And my eye will not spare, nor will I have pity. I will punish you according to your ways, while your abominations are in your midst. (R)Then you will know that I am the Lord, who strikes.
10 (S)“Behold, the day! Behold, it comes! (T)Your doom has come; (U)the rod has blossomed; pride has budded. 11 (V)Violence has grown up into (W)a rod of wickedness. (X)None of them shall remain, nor their abundance, nor their wealth; neither shall there be preeminence among them.[d] 12 (Y)The time has come; the day has arrived. Let not (Z)the buyer rejoice, nor (AA)the seller mourn, (AB)for wrath is upon all their multitude.[e] 13 For (AC)the seller shall not return to what he has sold, while they live. (AD)For the vision concerns all their multitude; it shall not turn back; and because of his iniquity, none can maintain his life.[f]
14 “They have blown the trumpet and made everything ready, but none goes to battle, (AE)for my wrath is upon all their multitude. 15 (AF)The sword is without; pestilence and famine are within. (AG)He who is in the field dies by the sword, (AH)and him who is in the city famine and pestilence devour. 16 (AI)And if any survivors escape, they will be on the mountains, like (AJ)doves of the valleys, all of them moaning, each one over his iniquity. 17 (AK)All hands are feeble, and all knees turn to water. 18 (AL)They put on sackcloth, and (AM)horror covers them. Shame is on all faces, and (AN)baldness on all their heads. 19 They cast their silver into the streets, and their gold is like an unclean thing. (AO)Their silver and gold are not able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord. They cannot satisfy their hunger or fill their stomachs with it. (AP)For it was (AQ)the stumbling block of their iniquity. 20 (AR)His beautiful ornament they used for pride, and (AS)they made their abominable images and their detestable things of it. Therefore (AT)I make it an unclean thing to them. 21 And I will give it into the hands of (AU)foreigners for prey, (AV)and to the wicked of the earth for spoil, and (AW)they shall profane it. 22 I will turn my face from them, and (AX)they shall profane my treasured[g] place. Robbers shall enter (AY)and profane it.
23 (AZ)“Forge a chain![h] (BA)For the land is full of bloody crimes (BB)and the city is full of violence. 24 I will bring (BC)the worst of the nations to take possession of their houses. (BD)I will put an end to the pride of the strong, (BE)and their holy places[i] shall be profaned. 25 (BF)When anguish comes, (BG)they will seek peace, but there shall be none. 26 (BH)Disaster comes upon disaster; (BI)rumor follows rumor. (BJ)They seek a vision from the prophet, while (BK)the law[j] perishes from the priest and (BL)counsel from the elders. 27 The king mourns, the prince is wrapped in despair, and the hands of the people of the land are paralyzed by terror. According to their way (BM)I will do to them, and according to their judgments I will judge them, (BN)and they shall know that I am the Lord.”

7 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
2 Also, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord God unto the land of Israel; An end, the end is come upon the four corners of the land.
3 Now is the end come upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense upon thee all thine abominations.
4 And mine eye shall not spare thee, neither will I have pity: but I will recompense thy ways upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
5 Thus saith the Lord God; An evil, an only evil, behold, is come.
6 An end is come, the end is come: it watcheth for thee; behold, it is come.
7 The morning is come unto thee, O thou that dwellest in the land: the time is come, the day of trouble is near, and not the sounding again of the mountains.
8 Now will I shortly pour out my fury upon thee, and accomplish mine anger upon thee: and I will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense thee for all thine abominations.
9 And mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: I will recompense thee according to thy ways and thine abominations that are in the midst of thee; and ye shall know that I am the Lord that smiteth.
10 Behold the day, behold, it is come: the morning is gone forth; the rod hath blossomed, pride hath budded.
11 Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness: none of them shall remain, nor of their multitude, nor of any of their's: neither shall there be wailing for them.
12 The time is come, the day draweth near: let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn: for wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.
13 For the seller shall not return to that which is sold, although they were yet alive: for the vision is touching the whole multitude thereof, which shall not return; neither shall any strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life.
14 They have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready; but none goeth to the battle: for my wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.
15 The sword is without, and the pestilence and the famine within: he that is in the field shall die with the sword; and he that is in the city, famine and pestilence shall devour him.
16 But they that escape of them shall escape, and shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them mourning, every one for his iniquity.
17 All hands shall be feeble, and all knees shall be weak as water.
18 They shall also gird themselves with sackcloth, and horror shall cover them; and shame shall be upon all faces, and baldness upon all their heads.
19 They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.
20 As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty: but they made the images of their abominations and of their detestable things therein: therefore have I set it far from them.
21 And I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall pollute it.
22 My face will I turn also from them, and they shall pollute my secret place: for the robbers shall enter into it, and defile it.
23 Make a chain: for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence.
24 Wherefore I will bring the worst of the heathen, and they shall possess their houses: I will also make the pomp of the strong to cease; and their holy places shall be defiled.
25 Destruction cometh; and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none.
26 Mischief shall come upon mischief, and rumour shall be upon rumour; then shall they seek a vision of the prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the ancients.
27 The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do unto them after their way, and according to their deserts will I judge them; and they shall know that I am the Lord.

7 Me llegó la palabra del Señor:
2 — Hijo de hombre, di: Esto dice el Señor Dios a la tierra de Israel:
¡Llega el fin, llega el fin
por todos los extremos del país!
3 Ya te ha tocado el fin,
enviaré mi ira contra ti;
te juzgaré como merece tu conducta,
te haré responsable de tus maldades.
4 No te miraré compadecido,
ni pienso perdonarte:
te haré responsable de tu conducta,
tendrás contigo a tus maldades.
Y reconocerán que yo soy el Señor.
5 Esto dice el Señor Dios:
Ya está aquí la desgracia,
6 llega el fin, el fin llega;
se te acerca, está llegando.
7 Les llega el turno,
habitantes del país;
les llega la hora,
el día está cerca,
sin tregua, sin retraso.
8 Pronto derramaré mi ira sobre ti,
en ti satisfaré mi cólera;
te juzgaré como merece tu conducta,
te haré responsable de tus maldades.
9 No te miraré compadecido,
ni pienso perdonarte:
te haré responsable de tu conducta,
tendrás contigo a tus maldades.
Y reconocerán que yo soy el Señor,

10 Aquí está el día,

Florece la prepotencia,
11 despunta la insolencia,

Nada de ellos quedará:
nada de su bullicio,
nada de su boato,
no habrá tregua para ellos.
12 Llega el tiempo, el día se acerca;
que no se alegre el comprador,
que no esté triste el vendedor,
pues el fuego de la cólera
se cierne sobre ellos.
13 No recuperará el vendedor lo vendido,
aunque él y el comprador sigan con vida,
pues la profecía que amenaza a todos
no será revocada.
Nadie conservará su vida.
14 Tocan a rebato, todos se preparan,
pero nadie acude a la batalla,
pues el fuego de mi cólera
se cierne sobre ellos.
15 La espada espera en la calle,
la peste y la hambruna en casa:
el que se encuentre en descampado
morirá herido por la espada,
el que se encuentre en la ciudad
será devorado por la hambruna y la peste.
16 Algunos escaparán
huyendo por las montañas,
gimiendo como palomas;
pero todos morirán,
cada cual por su pecado.
17 Todas las manos se debilitan,
todas las rodillas flaquean;
18 se visten de sayal,
los cubre el espanto;
sus rostros están llenos de vergüenza,
todas sus cabezas rapadas.
19 Arrojan su plata por las calles,
tienen por inmundicia su oro;
ni su plata ni su oro podrán salvarlos
el día de la cólera del Señor,
porque fueron la ocasión de su pecado.
Su apetito no se saciará,
su vientre no se llenará.
20 Con sus espléndidas alhajas,
que ellos lucían con orgullo,
fabricaban sus ídolos detestables;
pero yo se las convertiré en inmundicia,
21 las entregaré como botín a extranjeros,
como presa a los criminales de la tierra,
que las profanarán.
22 Apartaré mi rostro de ellos,
dejaré que profanen mi tesoro;
entrarán en él saqueadores,
que lo profanarán.
23 Prepara grilletes,
que el país está lleno de sangre,
que la ciudad rebosa violencia.
24 Traeré a pueblos malvados,
que se adueñarán de sus casas;
acabaré con su espléndida fortaleza,
serán profanados sus santuarios.
25 Cuando se acerque el pánico,
buscarán inútilmente la paz:
26 el desastre seguirá al desastre,
la alarma sucederá a la alarma.
Buscarán en vano el oráculo del profeta,
faltará la instrucción del sacerdote,
se quedará sin consejo el anciano.
27 El rey se entregará al duelo,
el príncipe se vestirá de espanto;
temblarán las manos
de la gente del país.
Los trataré según su conducta,

7 The word of the Lord came to me: 2 “Son of man, this is what the Sovereign Lord says to the land of Israel:
“‘The end!(A) The end has come
upon the four corners(B) of the land!
3 The end is now upon you,
and I will unleash my anger against you.
I will judge you according to your conduct(C)
and repay you for all your detestable practices.(D)
4 I will not look on you with pity;(E)
I will not spare you.
I will surely repay you for your conduct
and for the detestable practices among you.
“‘Then you will know that I am the Lord.’(F)
5 “This is what the Sovereign Lord says:
“‘Disaster!(G) Unheard-of[a] disaster!
See, it comes!
6 The end(H) has come!
The end has come!
It has roused itself against you.
See, it comes!
7 Doom has come upon you,
upon you who dwell in the land.
The time has come! The day(I) is near!(J)
There is panic, not joy, on the mountains.
8 I am about to pour out my wrath(K) on you
and spend my anger against you.
I will judge you according to your conduct
and repay you for all your detestable practices.(L)
9 I will not look on you with pity;

and for the detestable practices among you.(N)
“‘Then you will know that it is I the Lord who strikes you.(O)
10 “‘See, the day!
See, it comes!
Doom has burst forth,

arrogance has blossomed!

a rod to punish the wicked.
None of the people will be left,
none of that crowd—
none of their wealth,
nothing of value.(R)
12 The time has come!
The day has arrived!
Let not the buyer(S) rejoice
nor the seller grieve,
for my wrath is on the whole crowd.(T)
13 The seller will not recover
the property that was sold—
as long as both buyer and seller live.
For the vision concerning the whole crowd
will not be reversed.
Because of their sins, not one of them
will preserve their life.(U)
14 “‘They have blown the trumpet,(V)
they have made all things ready,
but no one will go into battle,
for my wrath(W) is on the whole crowd.
15 Outside is the sword;
inside are plague and famine.
Those in the country
will die by the sword;
those in the city
will be devoured by famine and plague.(X)
16 The fugitives(Y) who escape
will flee to the mountains.
Like doves(Z) of the valleys,
they will all moan,
each for their own sins.(AA)
17 Every hand will go limp;(AB)
every leg will be wet with urine.(AC)
18 They will put on sackcloth(AD)

Every face will be covered with shame,

Their silver and gold
will not be able to deliver them

It will not satisfy(AI) their hunger
or fill their stomachs,

20 They took pride in their beautiful jewelry
and used it to make(AL) their detestable idols.
They made it into vile images;(AM)
therefore I will make it a thing unclean for them.(AN)
21 I will give their wealth as plunder(AO) to foreigners
and as loot to the wicked of the earth,
who will defile it.(AP)
22 I will turn my face(AQ) away from the people,
and robbers will desecrate the place I treasure.
They will enter it
and will defile it.(AR)
23 “‘Prepare chains!
For the land is full of bloodshed,(AS)
and the city is full of violence.(AT)
24 I will bring the most wicked of nations
to take possession of their houses.
I will put an end to the pride of the mighty,
and their sanctuaries(AU) will be desecrated.(AV)
25 When terror comes,
they will seek peace in vain.(AW)
26 Calamity upon calamity(AX) will come,
and rumor upon rumor.
They will go searching for a vision from the prophet,(AY)
priestly instruction in the law will cease,
the counsel of the elders will come to an end.(AZ)
27 The king will mourn,
the prince will be clothed with despair,(BA)
and the hands of the people of the land will tremble.
I will deal with them according to their conduct,(BB)
and by their own standards I will judge them.
