6 耶和华对我说： 2 “人子啊，你要面向以色列的山岭说预言，斥责它们， 3 说，‘以色列的山岭啊，要听主耶和华的话。祂对高山、丘陵、山涧、河谷说，我必亲自让刀剑临到你们，我必毁灭你们的神庙， 4 使你们的祭坛荒废，香坛破裂！我必在你们的偶像面前杀戮以色列人， 5 使他们横尸在你们的偶像面前，骸骨散在祭坛的四周。 6 你们的城邑必沦为废墟，神庙沦为荒场，祭坛荒废，偶像被砸碎，香坛被捣毁，一切必化为乌有。 7 被杀的人必横尸你们中间，你们就知道我是耶和华。
8 “‘不过，我必为你们留下一些人，使他们脱离刀剑之灾，四散到各国。 9 他们必在被掳的异地想起我怎样为他们忧伤，因为他们背叛我，心中淫乱，眼中恋慕与偶像苟合。他们必因自己的一切邪恶行为而厌恶自己。 10 这样，他们就知道我是耶和华，我说要降灾祸给他们并非空话。’”
11 主耶和华说：“你要拍手顿足地呼喊，‘唉，以色列人有祸了！’他们的一切邪恶行为必使他们倒在刀剑、饥荒和瘟疫之下。 12 远处的必死于瘟疫，近处的必丧身刀下，其余的必死于饥荒。我必把烈怒倾倒在他们身上。 13 他们必陈尸于祭坛周围的偶像间，就是他们在各高岗上、山顶上、绿树下和茂密的橡树下烧香祭拜偶像的地方，那时他们必知道我是耶和华。 14 我必伸手攻击他们，使他们居住的地方，从旷野到第伯拉他，变得极其荒凉。这样，他们便知道我是耶和华。”

Prophecies Against the Mountains
6 Again the ·Lord spoke his word [L word of the Lord came] to me, saying: 2 “·Human [T Son of man; 2:1], ·look [L set your face] toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them. 3 Say, ‘Mountains of Israel, listen to the word of the Lord God. The Lord God says this to the mountains, the hills, the ravines, and the valleys: [L Look; T Behold] I ·will [or am about to] bring a sword against you, and I will destroy your ·places of idol worship [L high places; C pagan worship sites; Deut. 12; 2 Kin. 23:8]. 4 Your altars will be ·destroyed [desolated] and your incense altars ·broken down [smashed]. ·Your people will be killed [L I will throw down your slain] in front of your idols. 5 I will lay the dead bodies of the Israelites in front of their idols, and I will scatter your bones around your altars. 6 In all the places you live, cities will become ·empty [desolate; laid waste]. The ·places of idol worship [L high places; 6:3] will be ruined; your altars will become ·lonely [wasted] ruins. Your idols will be ·broken [smashed] and ·brought to an end [ruined]. Your incense altars will be cut down, and ·the things you made [your works; or the idols/religious objects you have made] will be wiped out. 7 ·Your people will be killed and [L The slain will] fall among you. Then you will know that I am the Lord.
8 “‘But I will leave some people alive; some will ·not be killed by the nations [L escape the sword] when you are scattered among the foreign lands. 9 Then those who have escaped will remember me, as they live among the nations where they have been taken as captives. They will remember how I was ·hurt [grieved; crushed] ·because they were unfaithful to me [L by their adulterous heart] and turned away from me and ·desired to worship [by their eyes that have prostituted themselves with] their idols. They will ·hate [loathe] themselves because of ·the evil things they did that I hate [their abominations/detestable practices]. 10 Then they will know that I am the Lord. I did not ·bring this terrible thing on them for no reason [or threaten in vain this catastrophe against them].
11 “‘This is what the Lord God says: Clap your hands, stamp your feet, and ·groan [L say, “Ah!”] because of all the ·hateful, evil things [evil and detestable practices] the ·people [L house] of Israel have done. They will ·die by war [L fall by the sword], ·hunger [famine], and ·disease [plague; pestilence; Lev. 26:25–26]. 12 The person who is far away will die by ·disease [plague; pestilence]. The one who is nearby will ·die in war [fall by the sword]. The person who ·is still alive [L remains and is spared] and has escaped these will die from ·hunger [famine]. So I will ·carry out [spend; exhaust] my ·anger [wrath; fury] on them. 13 Their people will lie dead among their idols around the altars, on every high hill, on all the mountain tops, and under every green tree and leafy oak—all the places where they offered ·sweet-smelling [fragrant; or pleasing] incense to their idols. Then you will know that I am the Lord. 14 I will ·use my power [L stretch out my hand] against them to make the land ·empty [desolate] and wasted from the ·desert [wilderness] to ·Diblah,[a] wherever they live. Then they will know that I am the Lord.’”

6 L’Eternel m’adressa la parole en ces termes :
2 Fils d’homme, tourne-toi en direction des montagnes d’Israël, et prophétise contre elles 3 en disant : Montagnes d’Israël, écoutez la parole du Seigneur l’Eternel ! Car voici ce que dit le Seigneur, l’Eternel, aux monts et aux collines, aux vallées, aux ravins : Je vais faire venir l’épée contre vous et je détruirai vos hauts lieux. 4 Vos autels seront dévastés, vos encensoirs seront réduits en pièces, et je ferai tomber vos blessés devant vos idoles. 5 J’étendrai les cadavres des Israélites devant les statues de vos dieux, et je disperserai vos os autour de vos autels[a]. 6 Sur toute l’étendue de votre territoire, les villes seront dévastées et les hauts lieux détruits afin que vos autels soient démolis, que vos idoles soient brisées et anéanties, et que vos encensoirs soient cassés et qu’il ne reste rien de tout ce que vous avez fait. 7 Au milieu de vous, des blessés tomberont, et vous reconnaîtrez que je suis l’Eternel.
8 Mais je vous laisserai un reste d’entre vous : des rescapés de l’épée qui survivront parmi les autres peuples, ils seront dispersés dans différents pays. 9 Et parmi ces peuples qui les retiendront captifs, vos rescapés se souviendront de moi, car je briserai leur cœur prostitué[b] qui s’est détourné de moi, et les yeux adultères qui se sont tournés vers leurs idoles. Ils se prendront alors eux-mêmes en dégoût pour le mal qu’ils ont fait et pour toutes leurs abominations 10 et ils reconnaîtront que je suis l’Eternel : que ce n’est pas en vain que j’ai parlé de leur causer ce malheur.

11 Voici ce que déclare le Seigneur, l’Eternel : Va, frappe dans ta main, tape du pied et dis : Hélas, pour tout le mal abominable commis par les gens d’Israël qui sont près de tomber dévorés par l’épée, la famine et la peste. 12 Celui qui sera loin périra de la peste, celui qui sera près tombera par l’épée. Celui qui restera, qui aura été préservé jusque-là, mourra par la famine, et toute ma colère s’assouvira sur eux ; 13 et vous reconnaîtrez que je suis l’Eternel, quand leurs blessés tomberont au beau milieu de leurs idoles, autour de leurs autels, sur toute colline élevée, jusque sur les sommets des montagnes, sous tous les arbres verts et sous tout chêne verdoyant, ces endroits où ils offrent un parfum apaisant à toutes leurs idoles. 14 Je brandirai ma main contre eux, je dévasterai leur pays pour en faire une solitude, du désert à Ribla[c], partout où ils habitent, et ils reconnaîtront que je suis l’Eternel.

6 The word of the Lord came to me: 2 “Son of man, set your face(A) against the mountains(B) of Israel; prophesy against them(C) 3 and say: ‘You mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Sovereign Lord. This is what the Sovereign Lord says to the mountains and hills, to the ravines and valleys:(D) I am about to bring a sword against you, and I will destroy your high places.(E) 4 Your altars will be demolished and your incense altars(F) will be smashed; and I will slay your people in front of your idols.(G) 5 I will lay the dead bodies of the Israelites in front of their idols, and I will scatter your bones(H) around your altars.(I) 6 Wherever you live,(J) the towns will be laid waste and the high places(K) demolished, so that your altars will be laid waste and devastated, your idols(L) smashed and ruined, your incense altars(M) broken down, and what you have made wiped out.(N) 7 Your people will fall slain(O) among you, and you will know that I am the Lord.(P)
8 “‘But I will spare some, for some of you will escape(Q) the sword when you are scattered among the lands and nations.(R) 9 Then in the nations where they have been carried captive, those who escape will remember(S) me—how I have been grieved(T) by their adulterous hearts, which have turned away from me, and by their eyes, which have lusted after their idols.(U) They will loathe themselves for the evil(V) they have done and for all their detestable practices.(W) 10 And they will know that I am the Lord;(X) I did not threaten in vain to bring this calamity on them.(Y)
11 “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Strike your hands together and stamp your feet and cry out “Alas!” because of all the wicked and detestable practices of the people of Israel, for they will fall by the sword, famine and plague.(Z) 12 One who is far away will die of the plague, and one who is near will fall by the sword, and anyone who survives and is spared will die of famine. So will I pour out my wrath(AA) on them.(AB) 13 And they will know that I am the Lord, when their people lie slain among their idols(AC) around their altars, on every high hill and on all the mountaintops, under every spreading tree and every leafy oak(AD)—places where they offered fragrant incense to all their idols.(AE) 14 And I will stretch out my hand(AF) against them and make the land a desolate waste from the desert to Diblah[a]—wherever they live. Then they will know that I am the Lord.(AG)’”

3 And say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God; Thus saith the Lord God to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys; Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places.
4 And your altars shall be desolate, and your images shall be broken: and I will cast down your slain men before your idols.
5 And I will lay the dead carcases of the children of Israel before their idols; and I will scatter your bones round about your altars.
6 In all your dwellingplaces the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate; that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your images may be cut down, and your works may be abolished.
7 And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
8 Yet will I leave a remnant, that ye may have some that shall escape the sword among the nations, when ye shall be scattered through the countries.
9 And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.
10 And they shall know that I am the Lord, and that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.
11 Thus saith the Lord God; Smite with thine hand, and stamp with thy foot, and say, Alas for all the evil abominations of the house of Israel! for they shall fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.
12 He that is far off shall die of the pestilence; and he that is near shall fall by the sword; and he that remaineth and is besieged shall die by the famine: thus will I accomplish my fury upon them.
13 Then shall ye know that I am the Lord, when their slain men shall be among their idols round about their altars, upon every high hill, in all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every thick oak, the place where they did offer sweet savour to all their idols.
14 So will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land desolate, yea, more desolate than the wilderness toward Diblath, in all their habitations: and they shall know that I am the Lord.
