35 耶和华的话临到我说： 2 “人子啊！你要面向西珥山，说预言攻击它， 3 对它说：‘主耶和华这样说：西珥山啊！我要与你为敌，伸手攻击你，使你非常荒凉。 4 我要使你的城市变为废墟，你必然荒凉，那时，你就知道我是耶和华。 5 因为你永远怀恨，在以色列人遭遇灾难，刑罚到了顶点的时候，你把他们交在刀剑之下， 6 所以我指着我的永生起誓，我必使你遭受流血的报应，这血必追赶你；你既不恨恶流人的血，这血必追赶你。这是主耶和华的宣告。 7 我必使西珥山非常荒凉，我必从那里剪除来往的人。 8 我必使西珥的众山布满了被杀的人；被刀剑所杀的人必倒在你的小山、山谷和所有的溪涧中。 9 我必使你永远荒凉，你的城市必没有人居住；你们就知道我是耶和华。
10 “‘因为你曾说：这两国这两邦都必归我，我必得它们为业，但其实耶和华还是在那里。 11 所以我指着我的永生起誓：我必照着你因仇恨而向他们所发的忿怒和嫉妒对待你。我审判你的时候，必把自己显明在他们中间。这是主耶和华的宣告。 12 这样，你就必知道我耶和华听见了你的一切毁谤，就是你攻击以色列众山的话，说：“这些山都已经荒凉了！已经给我们吞吃了！” 13 你们用口说夸大的话攻击我，说出许多话来与我作对，我都听见了。 14 主耶和华这样说：全地都欢乐的时候，我却要使你荒凉。 15 你怎样因以色列家的产业荒凉而欢乐，我也必照样待你。西珥山啊！你和以东全地都必荒凉。他们就知道我是耶和华。’”

A Prophecy Against Edom
35 The word of the Lord came to me: 2 “Son of man, set your face against Mount Seir;(A) prophesy against it 3 and say: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against you, Mount Seir, and I will stretch out my hand(B) against you and make you a desolate waste.(C) 4 I will turn your towns into ruins(D) and you will be desolate. Then you will know that I am the Lord.(E)
5 “‘Because you harbored an ancient hostility and delivered the Israelites over to the sword(F) at the time of their calamity,(G) the time their punishment reached its climax,(H) 6 therefore as surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I will give you over to bloodshed(I) and it will pursue you.(J) Since you did not hate bloodshed, bloodshed will pursue you. 7 I will make Mount Seir a desolate waste(K) and cut off from it all who come and go.(L) 8 I will fill your mountains with the slain; those killed by the sword will fall on your hills and in your valleys and in all your ravines.(M) 9 I will make you desolate forever;(N) your towns will not be inhabited. Then you will know that I am the Lord.(O)
10 “‘Because you have said, “These two nations and countries will be ours and we will take possession(P) of them,” even though I the Lord was there, 11 therefore as surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I will treat you in accordance with the anger(Q) and jealousy you showed in your hatred of them and I will make myself known among them when I judge you.(R) 12 Then you will know that I the Lord have heard all the contemptible things you have said against the mountains of Israel. You said, “They have been laid waste and have been given over to us to devour.(S)” 13 You boasted(T) against me and spoke against me without restraint, and I heard it.(U) 14 This is what the Sovereign Lord says: While the whole earth rejoices, I will make you desolate.(V) 15 Because you rejoiced(W) when the inheritance of Israel became desolate, that is how I will treat you. You will be desolate, Mount Seir,(X) you and all of Edom.(Y) Then they will know that I am the Lord.’”

35 Herrens ord kom till mig:
2 (A) ”Människobarn, vänd ditt ansikte mot Seirs berg[a] och profetera mot det. 3 Säg till det: Så säger Herren Gud: Se, jag är emot dig, du Seirs berg, och jag ska räcka ut min hand mot dig och göra dig till en ödslig ödemark. 4 Jag ska lägga dina städer i ruiner, och du ska bli öde, och du ska inse att jag är Herren.
5 (B) Eftersom du alltid har hatat Israels barn och gett dem åt svärdet under deras ofärds tid[b], när missgärningen hade nått sin gräns, 6 (C) därför, så sant jag lever, säger Herren Gud, ska jag förvandla dig till blod, och blod ska förfölja dig. Eftersom du inte har hatat blod, ska blod förfölja dig. 7 Jag ska göra Seirs berg till en ödslig ödemark, och jag ska utrota var och en som färdas där, fram eller tillbaka. 8 Jag ska fylla dina berg med dina slagna. På dina höjder, i dina dalar och vid alla dina bäckar ska män falla för svärd. 9 Jag ska göra dig till en ödemark för all framtid, och dina städer ska inte mer vara bebodda. Då ska ni inse att jag är Herren.
10 (D) Du sade: ’De båda folken och de båda länderna ska bli mina, vi ska ta dem i besittning’ – detta fastän Herren bodde där. 11 Därför, så sant jag lever, säger Herren Gud, ska jag utföra mitt verk med samma vrede och brinnande nit som du i ditt hat har visat mot dem. Jag ska göra mig känd bland dem när jag dömer dig. 12 (E) Du ska inse att jag är Herren. Jag har hört alla de föraktfulla ord som du har uttalat mot Israels berg när du sagt: ’Det är en ödemark! Vi har fått dem, vi ska sluka dem!’ 13 Så har ni skrutit, och ni har hopat ord på ord mot mig. Men jag har hört det.
14 Så säger Herren Gud: Medan hela jorden gläder sig ska jag göra dig till en ödemark. 15 Därför att du gladde dig över att Israels arvedel blev ödelagd, ska jag göra på samma sätt med dig. Du ska bli en ödemark, du Seirs berg och du hela Edom, så stor du är. Då ska de inse att jag är Herren.
