30 耶和华的话又临到我说： 2 “人子啊，你要发预言说：‘主耶和华如此说：哀哉这日！你们应当哭号。 3 因为耶和华的日子临近，就是密云之日，列国受罚之期。 4 必有刀剑临到埃及，在埃及被杀之人仆倒的时候，古实人就有痛苦；人民必被掳掠，基址必被拆毁。 5 古实人、弗人[a]、路德人、杂族的人民并古巴人，以及同盟之地的人，都要与埃及人一同倒在刀下。
6 ‘耶和华如此说：扶助埃及的也必倾倒，埃及因势力而有的骄傲必降低微，其中的人民从色弗尼塔起[b]必倒在刀下。这是主耶和华说的。 7 埃及地在荒凉的国中必成为荒凉，埃及城在荒废的城中也变为荒废。 8 我在埃及中使火着起，帮助埃及的都被灭绝，那时他们就知道我是耶和华。 9 到那日，必有使者坐船从我面前出去，使安逸无虑的古实人惊惧；必有痛苦临到他们，好像埃及遭灾的日子一样。看哪，这事临近了！
10 ‘主耶和华如此说：我必借巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒的手除灭埃及众人。 11 他和随从他的人，就是列国中强暴的，必进来毁灭这地。他们必拔刀攻击埃及，使遍地有被杀的人。 12 我必使江河干涸，将地卖在恶人的手中。我必借外邦人的手，使这地和其中所有的变为凄凉。这是我耶和华说的。
13 ‘主耶和华如此说：我必毁灭偶像，从挪弗除灭神像。必不再有君王出自埃及地，我要使埃及地的人惧怕。 14 我必使巴忒罗荒凉，在琐安中使火着起，向挪施行审判。 15 我必将我的愤怒倒在埃及的保障上，就是训上，并要剪除挪的众人。 16 我必在埃及中使火着起，训必大大痛苦，挪必被攻破，挪弗白日[c]见仇敌。 17 亚文和比伯实的少年人必倒在刀下，这些城的人必被掳掠。 18 我在答比匿折断埃及的诸轭，使她因势力而有的骄傲在其中止息，那时日光必退去。至于这城，必有密云遮蔽，其中的女子必被掳掠。 19 我必这样向埃及施行审判，他们就知道我是耶和华。’”
耶和华折法老之臂
20 十一年正月初七日，耶和华的话临到我说： 21 “人子啊，我已打折埃及王法老的膀臂，没有敷药，也没有用布缠好，使他有力持刀。 22 所以主耶和华如此说：看哪，我与埃及王法老为敌，必将他有力的膀臂和已打折的膀臂全行打断，使刀从他手中坠落。 23 我必将埃及人分散在列国，四散在列邦。
坚强巴比伦王之臂
24 “我必使巴比伦王的膀臂有力，将我的刀交在他手中；却要打断法老的膀臂，他就在巴比伦王面前唉哼，如同受死伤的人一样。 25 我必扶持巴比伦王的膀臂，法老的膀臂却要下垂。我将我的刀交在巴比伦王手中，他必举刀攻击埃及地，他们就知道我是耶和华。 26 我必将埃及人分散在列国，四散在列邦，他们就知道我是耶和华。”

30 耶和華對我說： 2 「人子啊，你要說預言，這樣宣告主耶和華的話，
『哀號吧！你們要為那日悲傷。
3 因為日子近了，耶和華的日子近了，
那是烏雲密佈的日子，
列國淪亡的時候。
4 必有刀劍攻擊埃及，
埃及必屍橫遍野，
古實必痛苦不堪。
敵人要擄掠埃及的財富，
摧毀她的根基。
5 古實、弗、路德、阿拉伯和利比亞以及她的其他盟友都必與她一同死於刀下。』
6 「耶和華說，
『埃及的盟友都要覆滅，
埃及的傲氣必蕩然無存，
從密奪到色弗尼的居民都要喪身刀下。
這是主耶和華說的。
7 埃及要變成荒地中的荒地，
她的城邑要淪為廢墟中的廢墟。
8 我要點火燒埃及，
埃及的所有盟友都要滅亡。

12 我要使尼羅河乾涸，
把土地賣給惡人，

這是我耶和華說的。』
13 「主耶和華說，
『我要毀滅偶像，
剷除挪弗的神像。
埃及再沒有君王，
國內到處充滿恐懼。
14 我要使巴特羅荒廢，
放火焚燒瑣安，
審判底比斯，
15 把我的烈怒傾倒在埃及的堡壘——訓，
消滅底比斯的百姓。
16 我要放火燒埃及，
訓要受痛苦的折磨，
底比斯要被攻破，
挪弗終日惶恐不已，
17 亞文和比伯實的壯丁必死於刀下，
眾城都要遭受擄掠。

20 第十一年一月七日，耶和華對我說： 21 「人子啊，我打斷了埃及王法老的臂膀，沒有人替他敷藥包紮，以致他無力拿刀。 22 主耶和華說，『我要與埃及王法老為敵，我要把他那強壯的臂膀和曾經受傷的臂膀一起打斷，使刀從他手中掉落。 23 我要把埃及人驅散到列國，分散到列邦。 24 我要使巴比倫王的臂膀強壯有力，把我的刀交在他手中。我要打斷法老的臂膀，使法老在他面前像受了致命傷的人一樣呻吟。 25 我要使巴比倫王的臂膀強壯有力，而法老的雙臂必軟弱無力。我要把我的刀交在巴比倫王手中，讓他揮刀攻擊埃及。那時他們就知道我是耶和華。 26 我要把埃及人驅散到列國，分散到列邦，這樣他們就知道我是耶和華。』」

A Lament Over Egypt
30 The word of the Lord came to me: 2 “Son of man, prophesy and say: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says:
“‘Wail(A) and say,
“Alas for that day!”
3 For the day is near,(B)
the day of the Lord(C) is near—
a day of clouds,
a time of doom for the nations.
4 A sword will come against Egypt,(D)
and anguish will come upon Cush.[a](E)
When the slain fall in Egypt,
her wealth will be carried away
and her foundations torn down.(F)
5 Cush and Libya,(G) Lydia and all Arabia,(H) Kub and the people(I) of the covenant land will fall by the sword along with Egypt.(J)
6 “‘This is what the Lord says:
“‘The allies of Egypt will fall
and her proud strength will fail.
From Migdol to Aswan(K)
they will fall by the sword within her,
declares the Sovereign Lord.
7 “‘They will be desolate
among desolate lands,
and their cities will lie
among ruined cities.(L)
8 Then they will know that I am the Lord,
when I set fire(M) to Egypt
and all her helpers are crushed.(N)
9 “‘On that day messengers will go out from me in ships to frighten Cush(O) out of her complacency. Anguish(P) will take hold of them on the day of Egypt’s doom, for it is sure to come.(Q)
10 “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says:
“‘I will put an end to the hordes of Egypt
by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar(R) king of Babylon.(S)
11 He and his army—the most ruthless of nations(T)—
will be brought in to destroy the land.
They will draw their swords against Egypt
and fill the land with the slain.(U)
12 I will dry up(V) the waters of the Nile(W)
and sell the land to an evil nation;
by the hand of foreigners
I will lay waste(X) the land and everything in it.
I the Lord have spoken.
13 “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says:
“‘I will destroy the idols(Y)
and put an end to the images in Memphis.(Z)
No longer will there be a prince in Egypt,(AA)
and I will spread fear throughout the land.
14 I will lay(AB) waste Upper Egypt,
set fire to Zoan(AC)
and inflict punishment on Thebes.(AD)
15 I will pour out my wrath on Pelusium,
the stronghold of Egypt,
and wipe out the hordes of Thebes.
16 I will set fire(AE) to Egypt;
Pelusium will writhe in agony.
Thebes will be taken by storm;
Memphis(AF) will be in constant distress.
17 The young men of Heliopolis(AG) and Bubastis
will fall by the sword,
and the cities themselves will go into captivity.
18 Dark will be the day at Tahpanhes(AH)
when I break the yoke of Egypt;(AI)
there her proud strength will come to an end.
She will be covered with clouds,
and her villages will go into captivity.(AJ)
19 So I will inflict punishment(AK) on Egypt,
and they will know that I am the Lord.’”
Pharaoh’s Arms Are Broken
20 In the eleventh year, in the first month on the seventh day, the word of the Lord came to me:(AL) 21 “Son of man, I have broken the arm(AM) of Pharaoh(AN) king of Egypt. It has not been bound up to be healed(AO) or put in a splint so that it may become strong enough to hold a sword. 22 Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt.(AP) I will break both his arms, the good arm as well as the broken one, and make the sword fall from his hand.(AQ) 23 I will disperse the Egyptians among the nations and scatter them through the countries.(AR) 24 I will strengthen(AS) the arms of the king of Babylon and put my sword(AT) in his hand, but I will break the arms of Pharaoh, and he will groan(AU) before him like a mortally wounded man. 25 I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, but the arms of Pharaoh will fall limp. Then they will know that I am the Lord, when I put my sword(AV) into the hand of the king of Babylon and he brandishes it against Egypt.(AW) 26 I will disperse the Egyptians among the nations and scatter them through the countries. Then they will know that I am the Lord.(AX)”
