29 第十年十月十二日，耶和华对我说： 2 “人子啊，你要说预言斥责埃及王法老和埃及全国， 3 你要告诉他，主耶和华这样说，
“‘埃及王法老啊，
你这躺卧在自己河中的大怪物，
我要与你为敌。
你说这尼罗河属于你，
是你为自己造的。
4 但我要钩住你的腮，
使河中的鱼贴在你的鳞甲上，
把你连同贴在你鳞甲上的鱼一起从河中拉上来，
5 丢弃在旷野。
你必暴尸野外，无人收殓。
我要让你成为野兽和飞鸟的食物。
6 “‘这样，所有的埃及人就知道我是耶和华，因为你不过是一根芦苇，以色列人无法依靠你。 7 当他们用手握住你的时候，你就断裂，刺伤了他们的肩；当他们倚靠你的时候，你就折断，闪了他们的腰。
8 “‘因此，主耶和华说，看啊，我要使刀剑临到你，消灭你的人畜， 9 使埃及一片荒凉。这样，他们就知道我是耶和华。因为你说这尼罗河属于你，是你造的。 10 因此，我要攻击你和你的河流，使埃及从密夺到色弗尼，一直到古实的边界全都荒废。 11 四十年之内，这里必无人居住，人兽踪迹灭绝。 12 我必使埃及成为荒地中的荒地，让埃及的城邑沦为废墟中的废墟，长达四十年。我要将埃及人驱散到列国，分散到列邦。’
13 “主耶和华说，‘四十年之后，我要把分散的埃及人从各国聚集起来。 14 我要把被掳的埃及人带回来，使他们回到故土巴特罗，成为一个卑微的国家， 15 在列国中最衰微，再也不能雄居列国之上。我要使埃及国势衰弱，再也不能统治列国。 16 埃及不再是以色列人的指望，反而会使以色列人想起自己投靠埃及的罪。这样，他们便知道我是主耶和华。’”
17 第二十七年一月一日，耶和华对我说： 18 “人子啊，巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒派兵苦攻泰尔，以致士兵的头都秃了，肩也破了，却是徒劳无功。 19 所以主耶和华说，‘我要把埃及赐给巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒，他必掳掠埃及的财富为战利品，犒赏自己的军队。 20 他和他的军队为我效力，所以我把埃及赐给他作为酬劳。’这是主耶和华说的。
21 “到那天，我必复兴以色列[a]，使你以西结在他们当中开口说话，这样他们就知道我是耶和华。”

A Prophecy Against Egypt
Judgment on Pharaoh
29 In the tenth year, in the tenth month on the twelfth day, the word of the Lord came to me:(A) 2 “Son of man, set your face against(B) Pharaoh king of Egypt(C) and prophesy against him and against all Egypt.(D) 3 Speak to him and say: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says:
“‘I am against you, Pharaoh(E) king of Egypt,
you great monster(F) lying among your streams.
You say, “The Nile(G) belongs to me;
I made it for myself.”
4 But I will put hooks(H) in your jaws
and make the fish of your streams stick to your scales.
I will pull you out from among your streams,
with all the fish sticking to your scales.(I)
5 I will leave you in the desert,
you and all the fish of your streams.
You will fall on the open field
and not be gathered(J) or picked up.
I will give you as food
to the beasts of the earth and the birds of the sky.(K)
6 Then all who live in Egypt will know that I am the Lord.
“‘You have been a staff of reed(L) for the people of Israel. 7 When they grasped you with their hands, you splintered(M) and you tore open their shoulders; when they leaned on you, you broke and their backs were wrenched.[a](N)
8 “‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will bring a sword against you and kill both man and beast.(O) 9 Egypt will become a desolate wasteland. Then they will know that I am the Lord.
“‘Because you said, “The Nile(P) is mine; I made it,(Q)” 10 therefore I am against you(R) and against your streams, and I will make the land of Egypt(S) a ruin and a desolate waste(T) from Migdol(U) to Aswan,(V) as far as the border of Cush.[b](W) 11 The foot of neither man nor beast will pass through it; no one will live there for forty years.(X) 12 I will make the land of Egypt desolate(Y) among devastated lands, and her cities will lie desolate forty years among ruined cities. And I will disperse the Egyptians among the nations and scatter them through the countries.(Z)
13 “‘Yet this is what the Sovereign Lord says: At the end of forty years I will gather the Egyptians from the nations where they were scattered. 14 I will bring them back from captivity and return them to Upper Egypt,(AA) the land of their ancestry. There they will be a lowly(AB) kingdom.(AC) 15 It will be the lowliest of kingdoms and will never again exalt itself above the other nations.(AD) I will make it so weak that it will never again rule over the nations. 16 Egypt will no longer be a source of confidence(AE) for the people of Israel but will be a reminder(AF) of their sin in turning to her for help.(AG) Then they will know that I am the Sovereign Lord.(AH)’”
Nebuchadnezzar’s Reward
17 In the twenty-seventh year, in the first month on the first day, the word of the Lord came to me:(AI) 18 “Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar(AJ) king of Babylon drove his army in a hard campaign against Tyre; every head was rubbed bare(AK) and every shoulder made raw.(AL) Yet he and his army got no reward from the campaign he led against Tyre. 19 Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am going to give Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar king(AM) of Babylon, and he will carry off its wealth. He will loot and plunder(AN) the land as pay for his army.(AO) 20 I have given him Egypt(AP) as a reward for his efforts because he and his army did it for me, declares the Sovereign Lord.(AQ)
21 “On that day I will make a horn[c](AR) grow for the Israelites, and I will open your mouth(AS) among them. Then they will know that I am the Lord.(AT)”

29 A fines de diciembre del décimo año del encarcelamiento del rey Joaquín, me vino este mensaje del Señor:
2 «Hombre mortal, dirige tu mirada hacia Egipto y profetiza contra el faraón su rey y todo su pueblo. 3 Comunícales que el Señor Dios dice: “¡Yo soy tu enemigo, faraón, rey de Egipto, quien te crees poderoso dragón echado en medio de tus ríos! Pues tú has dicho: ‘¡El Nilo es mío, yo lo he hecho para mí mismo!’. 4 Yo pondré garfios en tus quijadas y te sacaré hacia tierra con peces adheridos a tus escamas. 5 Luego te dejaré a ti y a todos los peces desamparados en el desierto para morir, y no serás sepultado, pues yo te he dado como alimento para las fieras y las aves. 6 Este castigo es debido a que te doblaste cuando Israel solicitó tu ayuda (en vez de confiar en mí), entonces todos sabrán que yo soy el Señor. 7 Israel se apoyó sobre ti, pero tú te quebrantaste como cayado resquebrajado y así descoyuntaste su hombro, haciéndolo doblarse por el dolor”.
8 »Por lo tanto el Señor Dios dice: “¡Yo traeré un ejército poderoso contra ti, oh Egipto, y destruiré tanto a las personas como a los animales! 9 La tierra de Egipto llegará a ser un yermo desolado, por tu arrogancia de pensar que tú hiciste el río Nilo y que era de tu pertenencia exclusiva, y entonces los egipcios sabrán que yo, el Señor, lo he hecho. 10 Yo estoy contra ti y tu río, y destruiré completamente la tierra de Egipto desde Migdol hasta Asuán, y tan al sur como la frontera con Etiopía. 11 Por cuarenta años ni un ser viviente pasará por allí, ni personas ni animales; estará completamente despoblado. 12 Yo haré de Egipto tierra desolada, rodeada por naciones desoladas, sus ciudades yacerán desiertas también durante cuarenta años. Y yo enviaré a los egipcios al exilio en otras tierras”».
13 Pero el Señor Dios dice que al final de los cuarenta años él traerá a los egipcios de regreso de las naciones a las cuales ellos serán desterrados. 14 Y dice también: «Restauraré las fortunas de Egipto y traeré a su pueblo de vuelta a la tierra de Patros en el sur de Egipto donde nacieron, pero será un reino menor, poco importante. 15 Será la más humilde de todas las naciones; nunca más le declarará la guerra a otras naciones, pues nunca más tendrá Egipto suficiente poder para ello.
16 »De esta manera Israel no volverá a poner su esperanza en Egipto. Siempre que piense solicitarle ayuda, recordará su error al haberla buscado antes. Entonces Israel sabrá que sólo yo soy el Señor».
17 En el vigésimo séptimo año del cautiverio del rey Joaquín, a mediados de marzo, me vino este otro mensaje del Señor:
18 «Hombre mortal, el ejército del rey Nabucodonosor de Babilonia peleó fuertemente contra Tiro. Las cabezas de los soldados se volvieron calvas de llevar pesados cestos de tierra sobre ellas; sus hombros estaban pelados y ampollados por el peso de las piedras acarreadas para poner el sitio. Y Nabucodonosor no recibió ninguna compensación y no pudo pagar al ejército por todo este trabajo. 19 Por lo tanto, el Señor Dios dice: Yo le daré la tierra de Egipto a Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, y él tomará sus riquezas, apropiándose de todo lo que ella tiene, para su ejército. 20 Sí, yo le he dado la tierra de Egipto como su salario, pues él estuvo trabajando para mí durante estos trece años en Tiro, dice el Señor.
21 »En ese tiempo también haré que resurja el antiguo poderío de Israel, y entonces por fin sus palabras serán respetadas, y Egipto sabrá que yo soy el Señor».

29 En el año décimo, el mes décimo, a los doce días del mes, vino a mí la palabra del Señor(A): 2 «Hijo de hombre, pon tu rostro contra Faraón, rey de Egipto(B), y profetiza contra él y contra todo Egipto(C). 3 Habla y di: “Así dice el Señor Dios:
‘Yo estoy contra ti, Faraón, rey de Egipto,
El gran monstruo que yace en medio de sus ríos(D),
Que ha dicho: “Mío es el Nilo, Yo mismo me lo hice(E)”.
4 -’Pondré garfios en tus quijadas(F),
Y haré que los peces de tus ríos se peguen a tus escamas;
Te sacaré de en medio de tus ríos,
Con todos los peces de tus ríos pegados a tus escamas.
5 -’Y te abandonaré en el desierto,
A ti y a todos los peces de tus ríos.
Caerás en campo abierto(G),
No serás juntado ni recogido.
A las fieras de la tierra y a las aves del cielo(H)
Te he dado por alimento.
6 -’Entonces sabrán todos los habitantes de Egipto que Yo soy el Señor,
Porque han sido solo vara de caña(I) para la casa de Israel.
7 -’Cuando te tomaron en la mano,
Te quebraste, y desgarraste todas sus manos;
Y cuando se apoyaron en ti,
Te quebraste e hiciste que se estremecieran todos sus lomos(J)’.
8 Por tanto, así dice el Señor Dios: ‘Voy a traer contra ti la espada, y exterminaré de ti hombres y animales(K). 9 Y la tierra de Egipto se convertirá en desolación y ruina. Entonces sabrán que Yo soy el Señor(L).
Porque dijiste: “El Nilo es mío y yo lo he hecho(M)”, 10 por tanto, estoy contra ti y contra tus ríos(N), y haré de la tierra de Egipto una ruina completa, una desolación, desde Migdol hasta Sevene y hasta la frontera de Etiopía. 11 No pasará por ella pie de hombre, ni pie de animal pasará por ella(O), ni será habitada por cuarenta años. 12 Y haré de la tierra de Egipto una desolación en medio de tierras desoladas; y sus ciudades, en medio de ciudades devastadas(P), estarán desoladas por cuarenta años. Dispersaré a los egipcios entre las naciones y los esparciré por las tierras(Q)’.
13 ”Porque así dice el Señor Dios: ‘Después de cuarenta años recogeré a los egipcios de entre los pueblos donde estaban dispersos(R); 14 y cambiaré la suerte de Egipto y los haré volver a la tierra de Patros(S), a la tierra de su origen; y allí serán un reino humilde. 15 Será el más humilde de los reinos y jamás se levantará sobre las naciones(T). Los empequeñeceré(U) para que no dominen a las naciones. 16 Y nunca más será la confianza de la casa de Israel, al recordar la iniquidad de haber vuelto a Egipto(V). Entonces sabrán que Yo soy el Señor Dios(W)’”».
17 En el año veintisiete, el mes primero, el día primero del mes, vino a mí la palabra del Señor(X): 18 «Hijo de hombre, Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, hizo que su ejército realizara una gran campaña contra Tiro(Y); toda cabeza ha quedado calva(Z) y toda espalda desollada. Pero él y su ejército no recibieron pago de Tiro por la campaña que había realizado contra ella». 19 Por tanto, así dice el Señor Dios: «Voy a dar la tierra de Egipto a Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia. Se llevará sus riquezas(AA), capturará su botín y tomará su despojo; y esto será la paga para su ejército(AB). 20 Le he dado la tierra de Egipto por la obra que realizó contra Tiro, porque trabajaron para mí», declara el Señor Dios(AC).
21 «En aquel día haré brotar el poderío(AD) de la casa de Israel, y abriré tu boca en medio de ellos. Entonces sabrán que Yo soy el Señor(AE)».

2 Son of man, set thy face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy against him, and against all Egypt:
3 Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself.
4 But I will put hooks in thy jaws, and I will cause the fish of thy rivers to stick unto thy scales, and I will bring thee up out of the midst of thy rivers, and all the fish of thy rivers shall stick unto thy scales.
5 And I will leave thee thrown into the wilderness, thee and all the fish of thy rivers: thou shalt fall upon the open fields; thou shalt not be brought together, nor gathered: I have given thee for meat to the beasts of the field and to the fowls of the heaven.
6 And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am the Lord, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel.
7 When they took hold of thee by thy hand, thou didst break, and rend all their shoulder: and when they leaned upon thee, thou brakest, and madest all their loins to be at a stand.
8 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will bring a sword upon thee, and cut off man and beast out of thee.
9 And the land of Egypt shall be desolate and waste; and they shall know that I am the Lord: because he hath said, The river is mine, and I have made it.
10 Behold, therefore I am against thee, and against thy rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt utterly waste and desolate, from the tower of Syene even unto the border of Ethiopia.
11 No foot of man shall pass through it, nor foot of beast shall pass through it, neither shall it be inhabited forty years.
12 And I will make the land of Egypt desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate, and her cities among the cities that are laid waste shall be desolate forty years: and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.
13 Yet thus saith the Lord God; At the end of forty years will I gather the Egyptians from the people whither they were scattered:
14 And I will bring again the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their habitation; and they shall be there a base kingdom.
15 It shall be the basest of the kingdoms; neither shall it exalt itself any more above the nations: for I will diminish them, that they shall no more rule over the nations.
16 And it shall be no more the confidence of the house of Israel, which bringeth their iniquity to remembrance, when they shall look after them: but they shall know that I am the Lord God.
17 And it came to pass in the seven and twentieth year, in the first month, in the first day of the month, the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
18 Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyrus: every head was made bald, and every shoulder was peeled: yet had he no wages, nor his army, for Tyrus, for the service that he had served against it:
19 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will give the land of Egypt unto Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall take her multitude, and take her spoil, and take her prey; and it shall be the wages for his army.
20 I have given him the land of Egypt for his labour wherewith he served against it, because they wrought for me, saith the Lord God.
21 In that day will I cause the horn of the house of Israel to bud forth, and I will give thee the opening of the mouth in the midst of them; and they shall know that I am the Lord.
