16 耶和华的话又临到我说： 2 “人子啊，你要使耶路撒冷知道她那些可憎的事， 3 说：‘主耶和华对耶路撒冷如此说：你根本，你出世，是在迦南地，你父亲是亚摩利人，你母亲是赫人。 4 论到你出世的景况，在你初生的日子没有为你断脐带，也没有用水洗你使你洁净，丝毫没有撒盐在你身上，也没有用布裹你。 5 谁的眼也不可怜你，为你做一件这样的事怜恤你。但你初生的日子扔在田野，是因你被厌恶。
主加以宠爱
6 ‘我从你旁边经过，见你滚在血中，就对你说：“你虽在血中，仍可存活！你虽在血中，仍可存活！” 7 我使你生长，好像田间所长的。你就渐渐长大，以至极其俊美，两乳成形，头发长成，你却仍然赤身露体。 8 我从你旁边经过，看见你的时候正动爱情，便用衣襟搭在你身上，遮盖你的赤体。又向你起誓，与你结盟，你就归于我。这是主耶和华说的。 9 那时我用水洗你，洗净你身上的血，又用油抹你。 10 我也使你身穿绣花衣服，脚穿海狗皮鞋，并用细麻布给你束腰，用丝绸为衣披在你身上。 11 又用装饰打扮你，将镯子戴在你手上，将金链戴在你项上。 12 我也将环子戴在你鼻子上，将耳环戴在你耳朵上，将华冠戴在你头上。 13 这样，你就有金银的装饰，穿的是细麻衣和丝绸并绣花衣，吃的是细面、蜂蜜并油。你也极其美貌，发达到王后的尊荣。 14 你美貌的名声传在列邦中，你十分美貌，是因我加在你身上的威荣。这是主耶和华说的。
背约纵淫
15 ‘只是你仗着自己的美貌，又因你的名声，就行邪淫。你纵情淫乱，使过路的任意而行。 16 你用衣服为自己在高处结彩，在其上行邪淫——这样的事将来必没有，也必不再行了！ 17 你又将我所给你那华美的金银宝器为自己制造人像，与它行邪淫。 18 又用你的绣花衣服给它披上，并将我的膏油和香料摆在它跟前。 19 又将我赐给你的食物，就是我赐给你吃的细面、油和蜂蜜，都摆在它跟前为馨香的供物。这是主耶和华说的。 20 并且你将给我所生的儿女焚献给它—— 21 你行淫乱岂是小事，竟将我的儿女杀了，使他们经火归于它吗？ 22 你行这一切可憎和淫乱的事，并未追念你幼年赤身露体滚在血中的日子。
23 ‘你行这一切恶事之后（主耶和华说：你有祸了！有祸了！）， 24 又为自己建造圆顶花楼，在各街上做了高台。 25 你在一切市口上建造高台，使你的美貌变为可憎的，又与一切过路的多行淫乱。 26 你也和你邻邦放纵情欲的埃及人行淫，加增你的淫乱，惹我发怒。 27 因此我伸手攻击你，减少你应用的粮食，又将你交给恨你的非利士众女[a]，使她们任意待你。她们见你的淫行，为你羞耻。 28 你因贪色无厌，又与亚述人行淫，与他们行淫之后仍不满意。 29 并且多行淫乱直到那贸易之地，就是迦勒底，你仍不满意。
30 ‘主耶和华说：你行这一切事，都是不知羞耻妓女所行的，可见你的心是何等懦弱！ 31 因你在一切市口上建造圆顶花楼，在各街上做了高台，你却藐视赏赐，不像妓女。 32 哎，你这行淫的妻啊！宁肯接外人，不接丈夫。 33 凡妓女是得人赠送，你反倒赠送你所爱的人，贿赂他们从四围来与你行淫。 34 你行淫与别的妇女相反，因为不是人从你行淫。你既赠送人，人并不赠送你，所以你与别的妇女相反。
必严鞫其恶
35 ‘你这妓女啊，要听耶和华的话！ 36 主耶和华如此说：因你的污秽倾泄了，你与你所爱的行淫露出下体，又因你拜一切可憎的偶像，流儿女的血献给它， 37 我就要将你一切相欢相爱的和你一切所恨的，都聚集来，从四围攻击你。又将你的下体露出，使他们看尽了。 38 我也要审判你，好像官长审判淫妇和流人血的妇女一样。我因愤怒忌恨，使流血的罪归到你身上。 39 我又要将你交在他们手中，他们必拆毁你的圆顶花楼，毁坏你的高台，剥去你的衣服，夺取你的华美宝器，留下你赤身露体。 40 他们也必带多人来攻击你，用石头打死你，用刀剑刺透你， 41 用火焚烧你的房屋，在许多妇人眼前向你施行审判。我必使你不再行淫，也不再赠送于人。 42 这样，我就止息向你发的愤怒，我的忌恨也要离开你，我要安静不再恼怒。 43 因你不追念你幼年的日子，在这一切的事上向我发烈怒，所以我必照你所行的报应在你头上，你就不再贪淫行那一切可憎的事。这是主耶和华说的。

44 ‘凡说俗语的必用俗语攻击你，说：“母亲怎样，女儿也怎样！” 45 你正是你母亲的女儿，厌弃丈夫和儿女。你正是你姐妹的姐妹，厌弃丈夫和儿女。你母亲是赫人，你父亲是亚摩利人。 46 你的姐姐是撒马利亚，她和她的众女住在你左边。你的妹妹是所多玛，她和她的众女住在你右边。 47 你没有效法她们的行为，也没有照她们可憎的事去做，你以那为小事，你一切所行的倒比她们更坏。 48 主耶和华说：我指着我的永生起誓，你妹妹所多玛与她的众女尚未行你和你众女所行的事。 49 看哪，你妹妹所多玛的罪孽是这样：她和她的众女都心骄气傲，粮食饱足，大享安逸，并没有扶助困苦和穷乏人的手。 50 她们狂傲，在我面前行可憎的事，我看见便将她们除掉。 51 撒马利亚没有犯你一半的罪，你行可憎的事比她更多，使你的姐妹因你所行一切可憎的事倒显为义。 52 你既断定你姐妹为义[b]，就要担当自己的羞辱。因你所犯的罪比她们更为可憎，她们就比你更显为义。你既使你的姐妹显为义，你就要抱愧，担当自己的羞辱。
53 ‘我必叫她们被掳的归回，就是叫所多玛和她的众女，撒马利亚和她的众女，并你们中间被掳的，都要归回， 54 好使你担当自己的羞辱，并因你一切所行的使她们得安慰，你就抱愧。 55 你的妹妹所多玛和她的众女必归回原位，撒马利亚和她的众女，你和你的众女，也必归回原位。 56 在你骄傲的日子，你的恶行没有显露以先，你的口就不提你的妹妹所多玛。那受了凌辱的亚兰众女和亚兰四围非利士的众女都恨恶你，藐视你。 58 耶和华说：你贪淫和可憎的事，你已经担当了。 59 主耶和华如此说：你这轻看誓言、背弃盟约的，我必照你所行的待你。
耶和华许以悔罪悛改仍必蒙恩
60 ‘然而我要追念在你幼年时与你所立的约，也要与你立定永约。 61 你接待你姐姐和你妹妹的时候，你要追念你所行的，自觉惭愧；并且我要将她们赐你为女儿，却不是按着前约。 62 我要坚定与你所立的约，你就知道我是耶和华； 63 好使你在我赦免你一切所行的时候，心里追念，自觉抱愧，又因你的羞辱就不再开口。这是主耶和华说的。’”

棄嬰的比喻
16 耶和華的話又臨到我說： 2 “人子啊！你要使耶路撒冷知道她那些可憎之事； 3 你要說：‘主耶和華對耶路撒冷這樣說：你的根源和出生地是在迦南地；你的父親是亞摩利人，你的母親是赫人。 4 論到你出生的景況：在你生下來的日子，沒有人替你斷臍帶，沒有人用水洗你，使你潔淨，沒有人撒鹽在你身上，也沒有人用布包裹你。 5 沒有人顧惜可憐你，願意為你作上述任何一件事；你卻被人拋棄在田野，因為你出生的時候，你是被人厭惡的。

30 “‘你行的這一切事，簡直是任性無恥的妓女所為，可見你的意志是多麼的薄弱。這是耶和華的宣告。 31 你在各路口建造你的高岡，又在各廣場上築起你的高壇；然而你並不像一個妓女，因為你藐視賣淫所得的賞賜。 32 你這淫亂的妻子啊！你竟接外人而不接自己的丈夫。 33 人都把禮物送給妓女，你卻把你的禮物送給你所有的愛人，賄賂他們從四面來與你行淫。 34 你的淫行與別的婦女不同，因為不是人把禮物送給你，要求與你行淫，是你把禮物送給人，所以你是不同的。
嚴懲耶路撒冷的罪
35 “‘因此，你這妓女啊，要聽耶和華的話！ 36 主耶和華這樣說：因為你的情慾傾注出來，你與你的愛人行淫，露出你的下體，又因為你拜一切可憎的偶像，流兒女的血，把血獻給偶像， 37 所以我要把所有與你歡合的愛人，就是所有你所愛的和你所恨的，都聚集起來；我要把他們從四圍聚集起來攻擊你；我要在他們面前露出你的下體，使他們看見你全身赤裸。 38 我要審判你，像審判行姦淫和流人血的婦人一樣；我要因我的烈怒和妒忿，使流人血的罪歸在你身上。 39 我要把你交在他們手裡，他們要拆毀你的高岡，破壞你的高壇，剝去你的衣服，奪去你美麗的珠寶，只留下你赤露的身軀。 40 他們必帶一大群人上來攻擊你，用石頭打死你，用他們的刀把你砍碎。 41 他們也要用火燒你的房屋，在許多婦人面前向你施行審判。我必止住你的淫行，也必使你不再把誘人行淫的禮物送給人。 42 這樣我向你發的烈怒就可以平息，我的妒忿也可以離開你；我可以安靜，不再惱怒了。 43 因為你不追念你年幼的日子，反而在這一切事上惹我發怒；看哪！我必照著你所行的報應在你頭上，這是主耶和華的宣告。在你一切可憎的事以外，你豈不是還行了這淫亂的醜事嗎？
有其母必有其女
44 “‘凡引用俗語的，必用這俗語指著你說：有其母，必有其女。 45 你實在是你母親的女兒，她厭棄自己的丈夫和兒女；你實在是你姊妹的姊妹，她們厭棄她們的丈夫和兒女；你們的母親是赫人，你們的父親是亞摩利人。 46 你的姊姊是撒瑪利亞，她和她的女兒們住在你的北面；你的妹妹是所多瑪，她和她的女兒們住在你的南面。 47 你不但行她們所行的，作她們所作的可憎之事，而且你還以那些事為小，你一切所行的比她們更壞。 48 我指著我的永生起誓，你的妹妹所多瑪和她的女兒們，都沒有行過像你和你女兒們所行的事。這是主耶和華的宣告。 49 你妹妹所多瑪的罪孽是這樣：她和她的女兒們都驕傲自大，糧食豐足，生活安逸，卻沒有幫助困苦和貧窮的人。 50 她們自高自傲，在我面前行了可憎的事；我看見了，就把她們除掉。 51 撒瑪利亞所犯的罪還不及你所犯的一半；你所行的可憎之事比她更多，以致你的姊妹因你所行的一切可憎之事而顯為義。 52 你既然使你的姊妹較顯為義，你就要承擔自己的恥辱；因為你所犯的罪比她們所犯的更可憎，她們比你更顯為義。你使你的姊妹較顯為義，所以你就要慚愧，承擔自己的恥辱了。

16 耶和华对我说： 2 “人子啊，你要使耶路撒冷知道她的可憎行径。 3 你要告诉她，主耶和华这样对她说，‘你祖居迦南，生于迦南。你的父亲是亚摩利人，母亲是赫人。 4 你出生时没人剪断你的脐带，没人用水洗你的身体，用盐擦净你，用布包裹你。 5 没有人可怜你，同情你，为你做以上的事。你生下来便遭人厌恶，被扔在野外。
6 “‘我从你旁边经过，见你在血泊中挣扎，便对血泊中的你说，活下去！ 7 我使你像田间的植物一样茁壮生长。你渐渐发育成熟，长得亭亭玉立，双乳丰满，秀发垂肩，但仍然赤身露体。

23 “‘主耶和华说，你有祸了！你有祸了！你不但做了这些恶事， 24 还为自己筑祭坛，在各广场建高高的神庙。 25 你在街头巷尾建高高的神庙，糟蹋自己的美貌。你向每一个过路的人投怀送抱，纵情淫乱， 26 甚至与放纵情欲的邻邦埃及人苟合，激起我的愤怒。 27 看吧，我要伸手攻击你，削减你的口粮，把你交给憎恨你的非利士人，任他们宰割。他们会为你的淫荡行为感到羞耻。 28 你欲海难填，又跟亚述人行淫，但仍不满足， 29 于是又跟那商贾之地的迦勒底人行淫，但仍不满足。
30 “‘主耶和华说，你的心败坏至极，简直就像不知羞耻的娼妓， 31 因为你在街头巷尾筑祭坛，在广场建高高的神庙，甚至不收淫资，实在连妓女都不如。 32 你这荡妇，宁愿跟外人淫乱，也不爱自己的丈夫。 33 妓女接受淫资，你却送礼物给所有的情人，引诱他们从四方前来跟你淫乱。 34 你卖淫不同于别的妓女，没有人给你淫资，你倒贴钱给人，你真是与众不同。
主对耶路撒冷的审判和应许
35 “‘你这淫妇，要听耶和华的话。 36 主耶和华说，你放纵情欲，赤身露体地与众情人苟合。你祭拜一切可憎的偶像，把自己儿女的血献给它们。 37 因此，我要把你所爱和所恨的情人都聚集起来，从四方攻击你，让你赤裸裸地显露在他们面前，让他们看到你赤身露体。 38 我要惩罚你，像惩罚淫乱和杀人的妇女一样。我要把烈怒和义愤倒在你身上，报应你杀人流血的罪。 39 我要把你交在你的情人手里。他们必拆毁你的祭坛，夷平你高高的神庙，剥去你的衣裳，夺走你的珠宝，留下你赤身露体。 40 他们要聚众攻击你，用石头打你，用刀剑砍碎你， 41 烧毁你的房屋，在众妇女面前审判你。我要阻止你的淫乱行为，使你不再倒贴钱给情人。 42 这样，我的烈怒才会平息，我的义愤才会消除，我才会平静下来，不再发怒。 43 因为你忘记了幼年的日子，做这些事来惹我发怒，我要照你的所作所为报应你。因为你不仅行一切可憎的事，还放荡淫乱。这是主耶和华说的。

53 “‘然而，我要使所多玛、撒玛利亚及她们的女儿们复兴，并使你一同复兴， 54 让你自取其辱，深感羞愧，因为你的一切恶行使她们反得安慰。 55 你姊妹所多玛、撒玛利亚和她们的众女儿，以及你和你的众女儿必恢复起初的光景。 56-57 在你骄傲的日子，你的恶行还没有被揭露的时候，你觉得妹妹所多玛不屑一提。但现在，你却成为以东的众女儿和她四邻非利士的众女儿的笑柄。你周围的人都鄙视你。 58 你要承担淫荡和可憎行径带来的惩罚。这是耶和华说的。

Jerusalem as an Adulterous Wife
16 The word of the Lord came to me: 2 “Son of man, confront(A) Jerusalem with her detestable practices(B) 3 and say, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says to Jerusalem: Your ancestry(C) and birth were in the land of the Canaanites; your father(D) was an Amorite(E) and your mother a Hittite.(F) 4 On the day you were born(G) your cord was not cut, nor were you washed with water to make you clean, nor were you rubbed with salt or wrapped in cloths. 5 No one looked on you with pity or had compassion enough to do any of these things for you. Rather, you were thrown out into the open field, for on the day you were born you were despised.
6 “‘Then I passed by and saw you kicking about in your blood, and as you lay there in your blood I said to you, “Live!”[a](H) 7 I made you grow(I) like a plant of the field. You grew and developed and entered puberty. Your breasts had formed and your hair had grown, yet you were stark naked.(J)
8 “‘Later I passed by, and when I looked at you and saw that you were old enough for love, I spread the corner of my garment(K) over you and covered your naked body. I gave you my solemn oath and entered into a covenant(L) with you, declares the Sovereign Lord, and you became mine.(M)
9 “‘I bathed you with water and washed(N) the blood from you and put ointments on you. 10 I clothed you with an embroidered(O) dress and put sandals of fine leather on you. I dressed you in fine linen(P) and covered you with costly garments.(Q) 11 I adorned you with jewelry:(R) I put bracelets(S) on your arms and a necklace(T) around your neck, 12 and I put a ring on your nose,(U) earrings(V) on your ears and a beautiful crown(W) on your head.(X) 13 So you were adorned with gold and silver; your clothes(Y) were of fine linen and costly fabric and embroidered cloth. Your food was honey, olive oil(Z) and the finest flour. You became very beautiful and rose to be a queen.(AA) 14 And your fame(AB) spread among the nations on account of your beauty,(AC) because the splendor I had given you made your beauty perfect, declares the Sovereign Lord.(AD)
15 “‘But you trusted in your beauty and used your fame to become a prostitute. You lavished your favors on anyone who passed by(AE) and your beauty became his.(AF) 16 You took some of your garments to make gaudy high places,(AG) where you carried on your prostitution.(AH) You went to him, and he possessed your beauty.[b] 17 You also took the fine jewelry I gave you, the jewelry made of my gold and silver, and you made for yourself male idols and engaged in prostitution with them.(AI) 18 And you took your embroidered clothes to put on them, and you offered my oil and incense(AJ) before them. 19 Also the food I provided for you—the flour, olive oil and honey I gave you to eat—you offered as fragrant incense before them. That is what happened, declares the Sovereign Lord.(AK)
20 “‘And you took your sons and daughters(AL) whom you bore to me(AM) and sacrificed them as food to the idols. Was your prostitution not enough?(AN) 21 You slaughtered my children and sacrificed them to the idols.(AO) 22 In all your detestable practices and your prostitution you did not remember the days of your youth,(AP) when you were naked and bare,(AQ) kicking about in your blood.(AR)
23 “‘Woe!(AS) Woe to you, declares the Sovereign Lord. In addition to all your other wickedness, 24 you built a mound for yourself and made a lofty shrine(AT) in every public square.(AU) 25 At every street corner(AV) you built your lofty shrines and degraded your beauty, spreading your legs with increasing promiscuity to anyone who passed by.(AW) 26 You engaged in prostitution(AX) with the Egyptians,(AY) your neighbors with large genitals, and aroused my anger(AZ) with your increasing promiscuity.(BA) 27 So I stretched out my hand(BB) against you and reduced your territory; I gave you over(BC) to the greed of your enemies, the daughters of the Philistines,(BD) who were shocked by your lewd conduct. 28 You engaged in prostitution with the Assyrians(BE) too, because you were insatiable; and even after that, you still were not satisfied.(BF) 29 Then you increased your promiscuity to include Babylonia,[c](BG) a land of merchants, but even with this you were not satisfied.(BH)
30 “‘I am filled with fury against you,[d] declares the Sovereign Lord, when you do all these things, acting like a brazen prostitute!(BI) 31 When you built your mounds at every street corner and made your lofty shrines(BJ) in every public square, you were unlike a prostitute, because you scorned payment.
32 “‘You adulterous wife! You prefer strangers to your own husband! 33 All prostitutes receive gifts,(BK) but you give gifts(BL) to all your lovers, bribing them to come to you from everywhere for your illicit favors.(BM) 34 So in your prostitution you are the opposite of others; no one runs after you for your favors. You are the very opposite, for you give payment and none is given to you.
35 “‘Therefore, you prostitute, hear the word of the Lord! 36 This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because you poured out your lust and exposed your naked body in your promiscuity with your lovers, and because of all your detestable idols, and because you gave them your children’s blood,(BN) 37 therefore I am going to gather all your lovers, with whom you found pleasure, those you loved as well as those you hated. I will gather them against you from all around and will strip(BO) you in front of them, and they will see you stark naked.(BP) 38 I will sentence you to the punishment of women who commit adultery and who shed blood;(BQ) I will bring on you the blood vengeance of my wrath and jealous anger.(BR) 39 Then I will deliver you into the hands(BS) of your lovers, and they will tear down your mounds and destroy your lofty shrines. They will strip you of your clothes and take your fine jewelry and leave you stark naked.(BT) 40 They will bring a mob against you, who will stone(BU) you and hack you to pieces with their swords. 41 They will burn down(BV) your houses and inflict punishment on you in the sight of many women.(BW) I will put a stop(BX) to your prostitution, and you will no longer pay your lovers. 42 Then my wrath against you will subside and my jealous anger will turn away from you; I will be calm and no longer angry.(BY)
43 “‘Because you did not remember(BZ) the days of your youth but enraged me with all these things, I will surely bring down(CA) on your head what you have done, declares the Sovereign Lord. Did you not add lewdness to all your other detestable practices?(CB)
44 “‘Everyone who quotes proverbs(CC) will quote this proverb about you: “Like mother, like daughter.” 45 You are a true daughter of your mother, who despised(CD) her husband(CE) and her children; and you are a true sister of your sisters, who despised their husbands and their children. Your mother was a Hittite and your father an Amorite.(CF) 46 Your older sister(CG) was Samaria, who lived to the north of you with her daughters; and your younger sister, who lived to the south of you with her daughters, was Sodom.(CH) 47 You not only followed their ways and copied their detestable practices, but in all your ways you soon became more depraved than they.(CI) 48 As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign(CJ) Lord, your sister Sodom(CK) and her daughters never did what you and your daughters have done.(CL)
49 “‘Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom:(CM) She and her daughters were arrogant,(CN) overfed and unconcerned;(CO) they did not help the poor and needy.(CP) 50 They were haughty(CQ) and did detestable things before me. Therefore I did away with them as you have seen.(CR) 51 Samaria did not commit half the sins you did. You have done more detestable things than they, and have made your sisters seem righteous by all these things you have done.(CS) 52 Bear your disgrace, for you have furnished some justification for your sisters. Because your sins were more vile than theirs, they appear more righteous(CT) than you. So then, be ashamed and bear(CU) your disgrace, for you have made your sisters appear righteous.
53 “‘However, I will restore(CV) the fortunes of Sodom and her daughters and of Samaria and her daughters, and your fortunes along with them,(CW) 54 so that you may bear your disgrace(CX) and be ashamed of all you have done in giving them comfort. 55 And your sisters, Sodom with her daughters and Samaria with her daughters, will return to what they were before; and you and your daughters will return to what you were before.(CY) 56 You would not even mention your sister Sodom in the day of your pride, 57 before your wickedness was uncovered. Even so, you are now scorned(CZ) by the daughters of Edom[e](DA) and all her neighbors and the daughters of the Philistines—all those around you who despise you. 58 You will bear the consequences of your lewdness and your detestable practices, declares the Lord.(DB)
59 “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will deal with you as you deserve, because you have despised my oath by breaking the covenant.(DC) 60 Yet I will remember the covenant(DD) I made with you in the days of your youth,(DE) and I will establish an everlasting covenant(DF) with you. 61 Then you will remember your ways and be ashamed(DG) when you receive your sisters, both those who are older than you and those who are younger. I will give them to you as daughters,(DH) but not on the basis of my covenant with you. 62 So I will establish my covenant(DI) with you, and you will know that I am the Lord.(DJ) 63 Then, when I make atonement(DK) for you for all you have done, you will remember and be ashamed(DL) and never again open your mouth(DM) because of your humiliation, declares the Sovereign Lord.(DN)’”
