Chemarea lui Ezechiel
1 În al treizecilea an, în a cincea zi a lunii a patra, pe când eram între prinşii de război de la(A) râul Chebar, s-au deschis(B) cerurile şi am avut vedenii(C) dumnezeieşti. 2 În a cincea zi a lunii – era în anul al cincilea al robiei(D) împăratului Ioiachin –, 3 Cuvântul Domnului a vorbit lui Ezechiel, fiul lui Buzi, preotul, în ţara haldeenilor, lângă râul Chebar, şi acolo a venit mâna(E) Domnului peste el. 4 M-am uitat şi iată că au venit de la miazănoapte(F) un vânt(G) năpraznic, un nor gros şi un snop de foc, care răspândea de jur împrejur o lumină strălucitoare, în mijlocul căreia lucea ca o aramă lustruită, care ieşea din mijlocul focului. 5 Tot în mijloc(H), se mai vedeau patru făpturi vii, a căror înfăţişare(I) avea o asemănare(J) omenească. 6 Fiecare din ele avea patru feţe şi fiecare avea patru aripi. 7 Picioarele lor erau drepte şi talpa picioarelor lor era ca a piciorului unui viţel şi scânteiau(K) ca nişte aramă lustruită. 8 Sub aripi, de cele patru părţi ale lor, aveau nişte mâini(L) de om şi toate patru aveau feţe şi aripi. 9 Aripile(M) lor erau prinse una de alta. Şi, când mergeau(N), nu se întorceau în nicio parte, ci fiecare mergea drept înainte. 10 Cât despre chipul(O) feţelor lor era aşa: înainte, toate(P) aveau o faţă de om; la dreapta lor, toate patru aveau(Q) câte o faţă de leu; la stânga lor(R), toate patru aveau câte o faţă de bou, iar înapoi, toate patru aveau câte o(S) faţă de vultur. 11 Aripile fiecăreia erau întinse în sus, aşa că două din aripile lor ajungeau până la cele învecinate, iar două(T) le acopereau trupurile. 12 Fiecare(U) mergea drept înainte, şi anume, încotro le mâna(V) duhul să meargă, într-acolo mergeau, iar în mersul lor nu se(W) întorceau în nicio parte. 13 În mijlocul acestor făpturi vii era ceva ca nişte cărbuni de foc aprinşi, care ardeau, şi ceva ca nişte făclii(X) umbla încoace şi încolo printre aceste făpturi vii; focul acesta arunca o lumină strălucitoare şi din el ieşeau fulgere. 14 Făpturile vii însă, când alergau(Y) şi se întorceau, erau ca fulgerul(Z). 15 Mă uitam la aceste făpturi vii şi iată că pe pământ, afară de făpturile vii, era o roată(AA) la fiecare din cele patru feţe ale lor. 16 Înfăţişarea(AB) acestor roţi şi materialul din care erau făcute păreau de hrisolit(AC) şi toate patru aveau aceeaşi întocmire. Înfăţişarea şi alcătuirea lor erau de aşa fel încât fiecare roată părea că este în mijlocul unei alte roţi. 17 Când mergeau(AD), alergau pe toate cele patru laturi ale lor şi nu se întorceau deloc în mersul lor. 18 Aveau nişte obezi de o înălţime înspăimântătoare şi, pe obezile lor, cele patru roţi erau pline cu ochi(AE) de jur împrejur. 19 Când mergeau(AF) făpturile vii, mergeau şi roţile pe lângă ele şi, când se ridicau făpturile vii de la pământ, se ridicau şi roţile. 20 Unde(AG) le mâna duhul să meargă, acolo mergeau, încotro voia duhul, şi împreună cu ele se ridicau şi roţile, căci(AH) duhul făpturilor vii era în roţi. 21 Când(AI) mergeau făpturile vii, mergeau şi roţile; când se opreau ele, se opreau şi roţile; când se ridicau de pe pământ, se ridicau şi roţile; căci duhul făpturilor vii era în roţi. 22 Deasupra capetelor făpturilor vii era ceva ca o întindere(AJ) a cerului, care semăna cu cristalul strălucitor şi se întindea în aer sus, peste capetele lor. 23 Sub cerul acesta, aripile lor stăteau drepte, întinse una spre alta, şi mai aveau fiecare câte două aripi, care le acopereau trupurile. 24 Când(AK) umblau, am auzit vâjâitul aripilor lor ca(AL) vâjâitul unor ape mari şi ca glasul(AM) Celui Atotputernic. Când mergeau, era un vuiet gălăgios, ca al unei oştiri, iar când se opreau, îşi lăsau aripile în jos. 25 Şi venea un vuiet care pornea de deasupra cerului întins peste capetele lor, iar când se opreau îşi lăsau aripile în jos. 26 Deasupra(AN) cerului care era peste capetele lor, era ceva ca(AO) o piatră de safir, în chipul unui scaun de domnie; pe acest chip de scaun de domnie se vedea ca un chip de om, care şedea pe el. 27 Am(AP) mai văzut iarăşi o lucire de aramă lustruită, ca nişte foc, înăuntrul căruia era omul acesta şi care strălucea de jur împrejur; de la chipul rărunchilor lui până sus şi de la chipul rărunchilor lui până jos, am văzut ca un fel de foc şi, de jur împrejur, era înconjurat cu o lumină strălucitoare. 28 Ca înfăţişarea curcubeului(AQ), care stă în nor într-o zi de ploaie, aşa era şi înfăţişarea acestei lumini strălucitoare, care-l înconjura. Astfel(AR) era arătarea slavei Domnului. Când am văzut-o, am(AS) căzut cu faţa la pământ şi am auzit glasul Unuia care vorbea.

1 當 三 十 年 四 月 初 五 日 ， 以 西 結 （ 原 文 是 我 ） 在 迦 巴 魯 河 邊 被 擄 的 人 中 ， 天 就 開 了 ， 得 見 神 的 異 象 。
2 正 是 約 雅 斤 王 被 擄 去 第 五 年 四 月 初 五 日 ，
3 在 迦 勒 底 人 之 地 、 迦 巴 魯 河 邊 ， 耶 和 華 的 話 特 特 臨 到 布 西 的 兒 子 祭 司 以 西 結 ； 耶 和 華 的 靈 （ 原 文 是 手 ） 降 在 他 身 上 。
4 我 觀 看 ， 見 狂 風 從 北 方 颳 來 ， 隨 著 有 一 朵 包 括 閃 爍 火 的 大 雲 ， 周 圍 有 光 輝 ； 從 其 中 的 火 內 發 出 好 像 光 耀 的 精 金 ；
5 又 從 其 中 顯 出 四 個 活 物 的 形 像 來 。 他 們 的 形 狀 是 這 樣 ： 有 人 的 形 像 ，
6 各 有 四 個 臉 面 ， 四 個 翅 膀 。
7 他 們 的 腿 是 直 的 ， 腳 掌 好 像 牛 犢 之 蹄 ， 都 燦 爛 如 光 明 的 銅 。
8 在 四 面 的 翅 膀 以 下 有 人 的 手 。 這 四 個 活 物 的 臉 和 翅 膀 乃 是 這 樣 ：
9 翅 膀 彼 此 相 接 ， 行 走 並 不 轉 身 ， 俱 各 直 往 前 行 。
10 至 於 臉 的 形 像 ： 前 面 各 有 人 的 臉 ， 右 面 各 有 獅 子 的 臉 ， 左 面 各 有 牛 的 臉 ， 後 面 各 有 鷹 的 臉 。
11 各 展 開 上 邊 的 兩 個 翅 膀 相 接 ， 各 以 下 邊 的 兩 個 翅 膀 遮 體 。
12 他 們 俱 各 直 往 前 行 。 靈 往 哪 裡 去 ， 他 們 就 往 那 裡 去 ， 行 走 並 不 轉 身 。
13 至 於 四 活 物 的 形 像 ， 就 如 燒 著 火 炭 的 形 狀 ， 又 如 火 把 的 形 狀 。 火 在 四 活 物 中 間 上 去 下 來 ， 這 火 有 光 輝 ， 從 火 中 發 出 閃 電 。
14 這 活 物 往 來 奔 走 ， 好 像 電 光 一 閃 。
15 我 正 觀 看 活 物 的 時 候 ， 見 活 物 的 臉 旁 各 有 一 輪 在 地 上 。
16 輪 的 形 狀 和 顏 色 （ 原 文 是 作 法 ） 好 像 水 蒼 玉 。 四 輪 都 是 一 個 樣 式 ， 形 狀 和 作 法 好 像 輪 中 套 輪 。
17 輪 行 走 的 時 候 ， 向 四 方 都 能 直 行 ， 並 不 掉 轉 。
18 至 於 輪 輞 ， 高 而 可 畏 ； 四 個 輪 輞 周 圍 滿 有 眼 睛 。
19 活 物 行 走 ， 輪 也 在 旁 邊 行 走 ； 活 物 從 地 上 升 ， 輪 也 都 上 升 。
20 靈 往 哪 裡 去 ， 活 物 就 往 那 裡 去 ； 活 物 上 升 ， 輪 也 在 活 物 旁 邊 上 升 ， 因 為 活 物 的 靈 在 輪 中 。
21 那 些 行 走 ， 這 些 也 行 走 ； 那 些 站 住 ， 這 些 也 站 住 ； 那 些 從 地 上 升 ， 輪 也 在 旁 邊 上 升 ， 因 為 活 物 的 靈 在 輪 中 。
22 活 物 的 頭 以 上 有 穹 蒼 的 形 像 ， 看 著 像 可 畏 的 水 晶 ， 鋪 張 在 活 物 的 頭 以 上 。
23 穹 蒼 以 下 ， 活 物 的 翅 膀 直 張 ， 彼 此 相 對 ； 每 活 物 有 兩 個 翅 膀 遮 體 。
24 活 物 行 走 的 時 候 ， 我 聽 見 翅 膀 的 響 聲 ， 像 大 水 的 聲 音 ， 像 全 能 者 的 聲 音 ， 也 像 軍 隊 鬨 嚷 的 聲 音 。 活 物 站 住 的 時 候 ， 便 將 翅 膀 垂 下 。
25 在 他 們 頭 以 上 的 穹 蒼 之 上 有 聲 音 。 他 們 站 住 的 時 候 ， 便 將 翅 膀 垂 下 。
26 在 他 們 頭 以 上 的 穹 蒼 之 上 有 寶 座 的 形 像 ， 彷 彿 藍 寶 石 ； 在 寶 座 形 像 以 上 有 彷 彿 人 的 形 狀 。
27 我 見 從 他 腰 以 上 有 彷 彿 光 耀 的 精 金 ， 周 圍 都 有 火 的 形 狀 ， 又 見 從 他 腰 以 下 有 彷 彿 火 的 形 狀 ， 周 圍 也 有 光 輝 。
28 下 雨 的 日 子 ， 雲 中 虹 的 形 狀 怎 樣 ， 周 圍 光 輝 的 形 狀 也 是 怎 樣 。 這 就 是 耶 和 華 榮 耀 的 形 像 。 我 一 看 見 就 俯 伏 在 地 ， 又 聽 見 一 位 說 話 的 聲 音 。

Ezekiel’s Inaugural Vision
1 In my thirtieth year, in the fourth month on the fifth day, while I was among the exiles(A) by the Kebar River,(B) the heavens were opened(C) and I saw visions(D) of God.
2 On the fifth of the month—it was the fifth year of the exile of King Jehoiachin(E)— 3 the word of the Lord came to Ezekiel(F) the priest, the son of Buzi, by the Kebar River in the land of the Babylonians.[a] There the hand of the Lord was on him.(G)
4 I looked, and I saw a windstorm(H) coming out of the north(I)—an immense cloud with flashing lightning and surrounded by brilliant light. The center of the fire looked like glowing metal,(J) 5 and in the fire was what looked like four living creatures.(K) In appearance their form was human,(L) 6 but each of them had four faces(M) and four wings. 7 Their legs were straight; their feet were like those of a calf and gleamed like burnished bronze.(N) 8 Under their wings on their four sides they had human hands.(O) All four of them had faces and wings, 9 and the wings of one touched the wings of another. Each one went straight ahead; they did not turn as they moved.(P)
10 Their faces looked like this: Each of the four had the face of a human being, and on the right side each had the face of a lion, and on the left the face of an ox; each also had the face of an eagle.(Q) 11 Such were their faces. They each had two wings(R) spreading out upward, each wing touching that of the creature on either side; and each had two other wings covering its body. 12 Each one went straight ahead. Wherever the spirit would go, they would go, without turning as they went.(S) 13 The appearance of the living creatures was like burning coals(T) of fire or like torches. Fire moved back and forth among the creatures; it was bright, and lightning(U) flashed out of it. 14 The creatures sped back and forth like flashes of lightning.(V)
15 As I looked at the living creatures,(W) I saw a wheel(X) on the ground beside each creature with its four faces. 16 This was the appearance and structure of the wheels: They sparkled like topaz,(Y) and all four looked alike. Each appeared to be made like a wheel intersecting a wheel. 17 As they moved, they would go in any one of the four directions the creatures faced; the wheels did not change direction(Z) as the creatures went. 18 Their rims were high and awesome, and all four rims were full of eyes(AA) all around.
19 When the living creatures moved, the wheels beside them moved; and when the living creatures rose from the ground, the wheels also rose. 20 Wherever the spirit would go, they would go,(AB) and the wheels would rise along with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels. 21 When the creatures moved, they also moved; when the creatures stood still, they also stood still; and when the creatures rose from the ground, the wheels rose along with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.(AC)
22 Spread out above the heads of the living creatures was what looked something like a vault,(AD) sparkling like crystal, and awesome. 23 Under the vault their wings were stretched out one toward the other, and each had two wings covering its body. 24 When the creatures moved, I heard the sound of their wings, like the roar of rushing(AE) waters, like the voice(AF) of the Almighty,[b] like the tumult of an army.(AG) When they stood still, they lowered their wings.
25 Then there came a voice from above the vault over their heads as they stood with lowered wings. 26 Above the vault over their heads was what looked like a throne(AH) of lapis lazuli,(AI) and high above on the throne was a figure like that of a man.(AJ) 27 I saw that from what appeared to be his waist up he looked like glowing metal, as if full of fire, and that from there down he looked like fire; and brilliant light surrounded him.(AK) 28 Like the appearance of a rainbow(AL) in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him.(AM)
This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory(AN) of the Lord. When I saw it, I fell facedown,(AO) and I heard the voice of one speaking.

3 The word of the Lord came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the Lord was there upon him.
4 And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.
5 Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.
6 And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.
7 And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.
8 And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings.
9 Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.
10 As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.
11 Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.
12 And they went every one straight forward: whither the spirit was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went.
13 As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.
14 And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning.
15 Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces.
16 The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.
17 When they went, they went upon their four sides: and they turned not when they went.
18 As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them four.
19 And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.
20 Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, thither was their spirit to go; and the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.
21 When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.
22 And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.
23 And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which covered on this side, and every one had two, which covered on that side, their bodies.
24 And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings.
25 And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings.
26 And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.
27 And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.
28 As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.
