1 第三十年四月五日，我正在迦巴鲁河边的时候，天开了，我就看见　神的异象；那时，我是在被掳的人中间。 2 （当天是约雅斤王被掳后第五年四月五日。 3 在迦勒底人的地方，迦巴鲁河边，耶和华的话确实临到布西的儿子以西结祭司。耶和华的手在那里临到他身上。）

四个活物

4 我观望，看见有狂风从北方刮来，并有一块闪耀着火焰的很大的云，云的周围有光芒，在云中的火焰里，好象有发光的金属。 5 在火中又有四个活物的形状，牠们的样子是这样：牠们都有人的形状。 6 牠们各有四个脸孔、四个翅膀。 7 牠们的腿是直的，脚掌像牛犊的蹄，都很灿烂，像擦亮了的铜。 8 在牠们四边的翅膀下都有人的手。牠们四个活物的脸孔和翅膀是这样的： 9 牠们的翅膀互相接触，走动的时候，不必转身，都是朝着脸孔的方向行走。 10 至于牠们脸孔的形状，四个活物都各有一个人的脸孔，在右边各有一个狮子的脸孔，在左边各有一个牛的脸孔，此外各有一个鹰的脸孔； 11 牠们的脸孔就是这样。牠们向上展开翅膀，各自用两个翅膀互相接触，用两个翅膀遮蔽身体。 12 牠们都是朝着脸孔的方向行走。灵往哪里去，牠们就往哪里去。牠们走动的时候，都不必转身。 13 至于四个活物的形状，样子像烧着的火炭，又像火把。火在四活物中间到处闪耀。这火很明亮，有闪电从火中发出。 14 四个活物往来奔走，好象闪电。

四个轮子

15 我观看那些活物的时候，看见四个活物的旁边都有一个触地的轮子。 16 四个轮子的样子与构造都是一个形状，它们好象闪耀的水苍玉，又好象轮子套着轮子。 17 轮子可以向四方移动，移动的时候，不必转向。 18 轮辋很高，十分可畏，四个轮辋都布满了眼睛。 19 活物走动的时候，牠们旁边的轮子也随着移动。活物从地上升起的时候，轮子也随着升起。 20 灵往哪里去，活物就往哪里去，轮子也随着牠们升起，因为活物的灵是在轮子里面。 21 活物走动，轮子也随着移动；活物站着不动，轮子也不动；活物从地上升起，轮子也随着升起，因为活物的灵是在轮子里面。

22 在活物的头顶上面，有穹苍的形状，好象闪耀的水晶，十分可畏，在活物的头顶上面张开。 23 在穹苍下面，活物的翅膀伸直张开，互相接触；各自用两个翅膀遮蔽身体。 24 活物走动的时候，我听见牠们翅膀的响声，像洪水的声音，也像全能者的声音，又像军队喧嚷的声音。牠们站着不动的时候，翅膀就垂下来。 25 有声音从牠们头顶上面的穹苍发出来；牠们站着不动的时候，翅膀就垂下来。

耶和华的荣光

26 在牠们头顶的穹苍上面，有宝座的形状，好象蓝宝石的样子。在宝座的形象上面，有一个样子像人的形象。 27 我看见在那仿佛是他腰部以上，好象闪耀的金属，又好象有火四面包围。在那仿佛是他腰部以下，我又看见好象有火，光芒环绕着他。 28 下雨的日子，云中彩虹的样子怎样，环绕他的光芒的样子也怎样。这就是耶和华荣耀的形状的样子。我一看见，就俯伏在地上，跟着听见有说话的声音。

1 第三十年四月五日，我正在迦巴魯河畔被擄的人當中，忽然天開了，我看見了上帝的異象。 2 那是約雅斤王被擄第五年的四月五日， 3 就在迦勒底人境內的迦巴魯河畔，耶和華的話特別傳給了布西的兒子以西結祭司，耶和華的能力[a]降在他身上。

4 在異象中，我看見一陣狂風從北方颳來，隨後有一大朵雲閃耀著火光，四周環繞著燦爛的光芒，火的中心像發光的金屬。 5 火中有四個像人形的活物， 6 每個活物有四張不同的面孔和四個翅膀。 7 他們的腿是直的，腳如同牛犢的蹄，都亮如磨光的銅。 8 四面的翅膀下都有人的手，四個活物都有臉和翅膀， 9 翅膀彼此相連。他們移動時不必轉身，各朝前面移動。 10 四個活物的面孔是這樣的：正面是人的臉，右面是獅子的臉，左面是牛的臉，後面是鷹的臉。 11 他們的翅膀向上展開，每個活物的一對翅膀與其他活物的翅膀相連，另外一對翅膀遮蔽身體。 12 耶和華的靈往哪裡去，他們也往哪裡去，移動時不用轉身。 13 四個活物的形像如燃燒的火炭，又像火把。活物之間有火上下移動，發出耀眼的閃電。 14 這些活物像閃電一樣往來飛馳。

15 當我觀看這些活物的時候，發現每個活物旁邊的地上都有一個輪子。 16 四個輪子的形狀和結構都一樣，好像輪套輪，如同閃耀的綠寶石。 17 他們可以向四面移動，移動時輪子不必轉向。 18 輪圈高而可畏，周圍佈滿了眼睛。 19 活物行走，輪子也在旁邊行走；活物上升，輪子也上升。 20 靈往哪裡去，活物也往哪裡去，輪子也跟著往哪裡去，因為活物的靈在輪子裡。 21 活物行走，輪子也行走；活物站立不動，輪子也站立不動；活物上升，輪子也跟著上升，因為活物的靈在輪子裡。

22 活物的頭上好像鋪展著茫茫的穹蒼，如同頂著耀眼的水晶。 23 穹蒼下四個活物伸展翅膀，彼此相對，各用兩個翅膀遮蔽身體。 24 他們移動時，翅膀發出的響聲如洪濤之聲，既像全能者的聲音，又像軍隊的呐喊。活物站住的時候，便將翅膀垂下。 25 他們站立垂下翅膀時，有聲音從他們頭頂的穹蒼之上傳來。

26 在他們頭頂的穹蒼之上彷彿有藍寶石的寶座，有一位形狀像人的高高坐在寶座上。 27 我看到祂的腰部以上好像燒紅發亮的金屬，好像有火四面環繞。腰部以下如同火焰。祂周圍有耀眼的光輝， 28 彷彿雨天雲中的彩虹。

這是耶和華榮耀的形像。我一看見，便俯伏在地，隨後聽見有說話的聲音。

The Vision of Four Living Creatures

1 Now it happened in the thirtieth year, on the fifth day of the fourth month, while I was by the (A)river Chebar among the exiles, that the (B)heavens were opened, and I saw [a](C)visions of God. 2 (On the fifth of the month [b]in the (D)fifth year of King Jehoiachin’s exile, 3 the (E)word of [c]Yahweh came expressly to Ezekiel the priest, son of Buzi, in the (F)land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and there (G)the hand of Yahweh came upon him.)

4 Then I looked, and behold, a (H)storm wind was coming from the north, a great cloud with fire flashing forth continually and a bright light all around it, and in its midst something like the gleam of (I)glowing metal in the midst of the fire. 5 And within it there were figures with the likeness of (J)four living creatures. And this was their appearance: they had the (K)likeness of a man. 6 And each of them had (L)four faces and (M)four wings. 7 And their legs were straight, and [d]their feet were like a calf’s hoof, and they sparkled like the gleam of (N)burnished bronze. 8 And under their wings on their (O)four sides were (P)hands of a man. As for the faces and wings of the four of them, 9 their wings touched one another; their faces did (Q)not turn as they went; each (R)went straight forward. 10 And as for the (S)likeness of their faces, each had the (T)face of a man; [e]all four had the face of a lion on the right and the face of a bull on the left, and [f]all four had the face of an eagle. 11 And such were their faces. Their wings were spread out above; each had two touching another being, and (U)two covering their bodies. 12 And (V)each went straight forward; (W)wherever the spirit was about to go, they would go, without turning as they went. 13 [g]As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of (X)fire, [h]like the appearance of torches going back and forth among the living creatures. The fire was bright, and lightning was [i]flashing from the fire. 14 And the living creatures (Y)ran to and fro with the appearance of (Z)lightning.

15 Then I looked at the living creatures, and behold, there was one (AA)wheel on the earth beside the living creatures, [j]for each of the four of them. 16 The (AB)appearance of the wheels and their workmanship was like the gleam of (AC)beryl, and all four of them had the same likeness, their appearance and workmanship being as if [k]one wheel were within another. 17 Whenever they went, they went in any of their four [l]directions without (AD)turning as they went. 18 And as for their rims, they were lofty and awesome, and the rims of all four of them were (AE)full of eyes all around. 19 (AF)And when the living creatures went, the wheels went beside them. And when the living creatures (AG)rose from the earth, the wheels rose also. 20 (AH)Wherever the spirit was about to go, they would go in that direction, [m]where the spirit was about to go. And the wheels rose alongside of them; for the spirit of the living [n]creatures was in the wheels. 21 (AI)Whenever those went, these went; and whenever those stood still, these stood still. And whenever those rose from the earth, the wheels rose close beside them; for the spirit of the living [o]creatures was in the wheels.

The Vision of the Glory of Yahweh

22 Now (AJ)over the heads of the living [p]creatures there was something with the likeness of an expanse, like the awesome gleam of [q]crystal, spread out over their heads above. 23 And underneath the expanse their wings were stretched out straight, one toward the other; each one also had (AK)two wings covering its body on the one side and on the other. 24 I also heard the sound of their wings like the (AL)sound of many waters as they went, like the [r](AM)sound of [s]the Almighty, a sound of tumult like the (AN)sound of an army camp; whenever they stood still, they dropped their wings. 25 And there came a sound from above the (AO)expanse that was over their heads; whenever they stood still, they dropped their wings.

26 Now (AP)above the expanse that was over their heads there was something in the (AQ)likeness of a throne, like (AR)sapphire stone in appearance; and upon the likeness of the throne, high up, was the likeness of one with the appearance of a (AS)man. 27 Then I saw from the appearance of His loins and upward something (AT)like the gleam of [t]glowing metal with the appearance of fire all around within it, and from the appearance of His loins and downward I saw something with the appearance of fire; and there was a radiance all around Him. 28 As the appearance of the (AU)rainbow [u]in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the radiance all around. Such was the appearance of the likeness of the (AV)glory of Yahweh. And I saw this, and I (AW)fell on my face and heard a sound of a voice speaking.

1 (A)In the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth day of the month, as I was among the exiles by (B)the Chebar canal, (C)the heavens were opened, and I saw (D)visions of God.[a] 2 On the fifth day of the month (it was (E)the fifth year of (F)the exile of King Jehoiachin), 3 the word of the Lord came to Ezekiel (G)the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by (H)the Chebar canal, and (I)the hand of the Lord was upon him there.

The Glory of the Lord

4 As I looked, behold, (J)a stormy wind came (K)out of the north, and a great cloud, with (L)brightness round it, and fire flashing forth continually, and in the midst of the fire, (M)as it were gleaming metal.[b] 5 And from the midst of it came the likeness of (N)four living creatures. (O)And this was their appearance: they had a human likeness, 6 (P)but each had four faces, and each of them had four wings. 7 Their legs were straight, and the soles of their feet were like the sole of a calf's foot. And they sparkled (Q)like burnished bronze. 8 Under their wings (R)on their four sides (S)they had human hands. And the four had their faces and their wings thus: 9 their wings touched one another. (T)Each one of them went straight forward, (U)without turning as they went. 10 As for the likeness of their faces, (V)each had a human face. The four had the face of a lion on the right side, the four had the face of an ox on the left side, and the four had the face of an eagle. 11 Such were their faces. 22 Over the heads of the living creatures there was (AT)the likeness of an expanse, shining like awe-inspiring (AU)crystal, spread out above their heads. 23 And under the expanse their wings were (AV)stretched out straight, one towards another. (AW)And each creature had two wings covering its body. 24 And when they went, I heard the sound of their wings (AX)like the sound of many waters, like (AY)the sound of the (AZ)Almighty, a sound of tumult (BA)like the sound of an army. When they stood still, they let down their wings. 25 And there came a voice from above (BB)the expanse over their heads. When they stood still, they let down their wings.

26 And above the expanse over their heads there was (BC)the likeness of a throne, (BD)in appearance (BE)like sapphire;[f] and seated above the likeness of a throne was (BF)a likeness with a human appearance. 27 And (BG)upwards from what had the appearance of his waist I saw as it were (BH)gleaming metal, like the appearance of fire enclosed all round. And downwards from what had the appearance of his waist I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and (BI)there was brightness around him.[g] 28 Like the appearance of (BJ)the bow that is in the cloud on the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness all round.

Such was the appearance of the likeness of (BK)the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, (BL)I fell on my face, and I heard the voice of one speaking.
