7 మోషేతో యెహోవా ఇలా అన్నాడు, “నేను నీకు తోడుగా ఉంటాను. ఫరోకు నీవు ఒక మహారాజులా[a] ఉంటావు. అహరోను నీ పక్షంగా మాట్లాడే మాటకారిగా[b] ఉంటాడు. 2 నీకు నేను ఆజ్ఞాపించేదంతా అహరోనుతో చెప్పు. నేను చెప్పే విషయాలన్నీ అతను రాజుతో చెబుతాడు. ఇక ఫరో ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజలను ఈ దేశాన్ని వదిలిపోనిస్తాడు. 3 అయితే నేను ఫరోను మొండిగా చేస్తాను. 6 మోషే, అహరోనులు యెహోవా తమతో చెప్పిన ఈ మాటలకు విధేయులయ్యారు. 7 అప్పటికి మోషే వయస్సు 80 సంవత్సరాలు అహరోను వయస్సు 83 సంవత్సరాలు.
మోషే కర్ర పాము అవుతుంది
8 మోషే, అహరోనులతో యెహోవా ఇలా అన్నాడు: 9 “మీ శక్తి రుజువు చేయమని ఫరో మిమ్మల్ని అడుగుతాడు. ఒక అద్భుతం చేయమని మిమ్మల్ని అడుగుతాడు. అతని కర్ర నేలమీద పడవేయమని అహరోనుతో చెప్పు. ఫరో చూస్తూ ఉండగానే ఆ కర్ర పావు అవుతుంది.”
10 కనుక మోషే, అహరోను ఫరో దగ్గరకు వెళ్లి యెహోవా చెప్పినట్టు చేసారు. అహరోను తన చేతి కర్రను కింద పడవేసాడు. ఫరో తన అధికారులతో కలసి చూస్తూ ఉండగానే ఆ కర్ర పాముగా అయింది.
11 కనుక రాజు తన విద్వాంసులను, మంత్రగాళ్లను పిలిపించాడు. వాళ్లు మంత్రాలు వేసి, అహరోను చేసినట్లే చేయగల్గారు. 12 వాళ్లు కూడా వారి కర్రలను నేల మీద పడవేసారు. ఆ కర్రలు పాములయ్యాయి, కాని అహరోను కర్ర వాళ్ల కర్రలను మింగేసింది. 13 అయినా సరే ప్రజలను వెళ్లనిచ్చేందుకు ఫరో ఒప్పుకోలేదు. ఏమి జరుగుతుందని యెహోవా చెప్పాడో అలాగే ఇది జరిగింది. మోషే, అహరోనుల మాట వినేందుకు రాజు ఒప్పుకోలేదు.
నీళ్లు రక్తంగా మారటం
14 అప్పుడు మోషే, అహరోనులతో యెహోవా ఇలా చెప్పాడు: “ఫరో మొండికెత్తాడు. ప్రజల్ని పోనిచ్చేందుకు ఫరో నిరాకరిస్తున్నాడు. 15 ఉదయాన్నే ఫరో నైలు నదికి వెళ్తాడు. నది ఒడ్డున అతని దగ్గరకు వెళ్లు. పాముగా మారిన ఆ కర్రను నీ వెంట తీసుకొనివెళ్లు. 16 అతనికి ఇలా చెప్పు: ‘హీబ్రూ ప్రజల దేవుడైన యెహోవా నన్ను నీ దగ్గరకు పంపించాడు. అరణ్యంలో నన్ను ఆరాధించటానికి నా ప్రజలను వెళ్లనివ్వు అని నీతో చెప్పమని యెహోవా నాతో చెప్పాడు. ఇప్పటివరకు నీవేమో యెహోవా మాట వినలేదు. 17 కనుక యెహోవా చెబుతున్నాడు, నేనే యెహోవానని చెప్పి నీవు ఇలా తెల్సుకొంటావు నా చేతిలో ఉన్న ఈ కర్రతో నైలు నది నీళ్లను నేను కొడతాను. నైలునది రక్తంగా మారిపోతుంది. 18 దానితో నదిలో చేపలన్నీ చస్తాయి, నది కుళ్లు కంపు కొడుతుంది. అంతటితో ఈజిప్టు వాళ్లు నదిలోని నీళ్లు తాగలేక పోతారు.’”
19 యెహోవా మోషేకు ఈ ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చాడు: “వారి నదులు, కాలువలు, చెరువుల మీద, వారు నీరు నిల్వ చేసే ప్రతి స్థలం మీద తన చేతి కర్ర చాపాలని అహరోనుకు చెప్పు. అతను ఇలా చెయ్యగానే నీళ్లన్నీ రక్తంగా మారిపోతాయి. చెక్క పాత్రలు, రాతి పాత్రల్లో ఉన్న నీళ్లతో సహా మొత్తం నీళ్లన్నీ రక్తంగా మారిపోతాయి.”
20 యెహోవా ఆజ్ఞ ప్రకారం మోషే, అహరోనులు చేసారు. అతను కర్ర పైకెత్తి నైలునది నీళ్లమీద కొట్టాడు. ఫరో, అతని అధికారులు అందరి ముందు అతడు ఇలా చేసాడు. నదిలో నీళ్లన్నీ రక్తంగా మారిపోయాయి. 21 నదిలో చేపలు చచ్చాయి. నది కుళ్లు కంపు కొట్టడం మొదలయింది. అందుచేత ఈజిప్టు వాళ్లు ఆ నదిలో నీళ్లు తాగలేక పోయారు. ఈజిప్టు అంతా రక్తమయం అయిపోయింది.

7 And the Lord said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.
2 Thou shalt speak all that I command thee: and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he send the children of Israel out of his land.
3 And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.
4 But Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth mine armies, and my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.
5 And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I stretch forth mine hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.
6 And Moses and Aaron did as the Lord commanded them, so did they.
7 And Moses was fourscore years old, and Aaron fourscore and three years old, when they spake unto Pharaoh.
8 And the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
9 When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, Shew a miracle for you: then thou shalt say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall become a serpent.
10 And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the Lord had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.
11 Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.
12 For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.
13 And he hardened Pharaoh's heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as the Lord had said.
14 And the Lord said unto Moses, Pharaoh's heart is hardened, he refuseth to let the people go.
15 Get thee unto Pharaoh in the morning; lo, he goeth out unto the water; and thou shalt stand by the river's brink against he come; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shalt thou take in thine hand.
16 And thou shalt say unto him, The Lord God of the Hebrews hath sent me unto thee, saying, Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness: and, behold, hitherto thou wouldest not hear.
17 Thus saith the Lord, In this thou shalt know that I am the Lord: behold, I will smite with the rod that is in mine hand upon the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.
18 And the fish that is in the river shall die, and the river shall stink; and the Egyptians shall lothe to drink of the water of the river.
19 And the Lord spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.
20 And Moses and Aaron did so, as the Lord commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.
21 And the fish that was in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.
22 And the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, neither did he hearken unto them; as the Lord had said.
23 And Pharaoh turned and went into his house, neither did he set his heart to this also.
24 And all the Egyptians digged round about the river for water to drink; for they could not drink of the water of the river.
25 And seven days were fulfilled, after that the Lord had smitten the river.

8 Domnul le-a zis lui Moise şi lui Aaron: 9 „Când Faraon vă va zice să faceţi o minune, atunci tu, Moise, să-i spui lui Aaron să ia toiagul şi să-l arunce înaintea lui Faraon; şi toiagul se va transforma în şarpe.“ 10 Moise şi Aaron s-au dus la Faraon şi au făcut aşa cum le-a poruncit Domnul; Aaron a aruncat toiagul înaintea lui Faraon şi a slujitorilor săi, iar acesta s-a transformat într-un şarpe[a]. 11 Atunci Faraon i-a chemat pe cei înţelepţi şi pe vrăjitori, şi magicienii Egiptului au făcut la fel prin vrăjitoriile lor. 12 Toţi şi-au aruncat toiegele şi acestea s-au transformat în şerpi, însă toiagul lui Aaron a înghiţit toiegele lor. 13 Inima lui Faraon s-a împietrit, astfel că el nu i-a ascultat pe cei doi, după cum zisese Domnul.

14 Apoi Domnul i-a zis lui Moise: „Inima lui Faraon este împietrită; el nu vrea să lase poporul să plece. 15 Du-te dis-de-dimineaţă la Faraon, atunci când acesta merge la apă, stai pe malul râului ca să-l întâlneşti şi ia în mână toiagul care s-a făcut şarpe. 16 Să-i spui astfel: «Domnul, Dumnezeul evreilor, m-a trimis să-ţi cer să laşi poporul să plece ca să I se închine în pustie. Dar până acum n-ai ascultat. 17 De aceea aşa vorbeşte Domnul: ‘Prin aceasta vei cunoaşte că Eu sunt Domnul: cu toiagul din mâna mea voi lovi apa din Nil, iar aceasta se va preface în sânge. 18 Peştii din râu vor muri, râul se va împuţi şi egiptenii nu vor mai putea să bea apă din Nil.’»“ 19 Domnul i-a mai zis lui Moise: „Spune-i lui Aaron: «Ia-ţi toiagul, întinde-ţi mâna peste apele Egiptului - peste râuri, canale, iazuri şi peste toate bălţile - şi ele se vor preface în sânge.» Va fi sânge în toată ţara Egiptului, chiar şi în vasele de lemn şi de piatră.“ 20 Moise şi Aaron au făcut aşa cum le-a poruncit Domnul. În prezenţa lui Faraon şi a slujitorilor săi, el a ridicat toiagul, a lovit apa din râu, şi toată apa din râu s-a prefăcut în sânge, 21 iar peştii din râu au murit. 7 Then the Lord said to Moses, “See, I have made you like God(A) to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron will be your prophet.(B) 2 You are to say everything I command you, and your brother Aaron is to tell Pharaoh to let the Israelites go out of his country. 3 But I will harden Pharaoh’s heart,(C) and though I multiply my signs and wonders(D) in Egypt, 4 he will not listen(E) to you. Then I will lay my hand on Egypt and with mighty acts of judgment(F) I will bring out my divisions,(G) my people the Israelites. 5 And the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord(H) when I stretch out my hand(I) against Egypt and bring the Israelites out of it.”
6 Moses and Aaron did just as the Lord commanded(J) them. 7 Moses was eighty years old(K) and Aaron eighty-three when they spoke to Pharaoh.
Aaron’s Staff Becomes a Snake
8 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, 9 “When Pharaoh says to you, ‘Perform a miracle,(L)’ then say to Aaron, ‘Take your staff and throw it down before Pharaoh,’ and it will become a snake.”(M)
10 So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did just as the Lord commanded. Aaron threw his staff down in front of Pharaoh and his officials, and it became a snake. 11 Pharaoh then summoned wise men and sorcerers,(N) and the Egyptian magicians(O) also did the same things by their secret arts:(P) 12 Each one threw down his staff and it became a snake. But Aaron’s staff swallowed up their staffs. 13 Yet Pharaoh’s heart(Q) became hard and he would not listen(R) to them, just as the Lord had said.
The Plague of Blood
14 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Pharaoh’s heart is unyielding;(S) he refuses to let the people go. 15 Go to Pharaoh in the morning as he goes out to the river.(T) Confront him on the bank of the Nile,(U) and take in your hand the staff that was changed into a snake. 16 Then say to him, ‘The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to say to you: Let my people go, so that they may worship(V) me in the wilderness. But until now you have not listened.(W) 17 This is what the Lord says: By this you will know that I am the Lord:(X) With the staff that is in my hand I will strike the water of the Nile, and it will be changed into blood.(Y) 18 The fish in the Nile will die, and the river will stink;(Z) the Egyptians will not be able to drink its water.’”(AA)
19 The Lord said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Take your staff(AB) and stretch out your hand(AC) over the waters of Egypt—over the streams and canals, over the ponds and all the reservoirs—and they will turn to blood.’ Blood will be everywhere in Egypt, even in vessels[a] of wood and stone.”
20 Moses and Aaron did just as the Lord had commanded.(AD) He raised his staff in the presence of Pharaoh and his officials and struck the water of the Nile,(AE) and all the water was changed into blood.(AF) 21 The fish in the Nile died, and the river smelled so bad that the Egyptians could not drink its water. Blood was everywhere in Egypt.
22 But the Egyptian magicians(AG) did the same things by their secret arts,(AH) and Pharaoh’s heart(AI) became hard; he would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the Lord had said. 23 Instead, he turned and went into his palace, and did not take even this to heart. 24 And all the Egyptians dug along the Nile to get drinking water(AJ), because they could not drink the water of the river.
The Plague of Frogs
25 Seven days passed after the Lord struck the Nile.
