சீஷர்களுக்காகப் பிரார்த்தனை
17 இவற்றையெல்லாம் இயேசு சொன்ன பிறகு, அவர் தனது கண்களால் வானத்தை (பரலோகத்தை) அண்ணாந்து பார்த்தார். “பிதாவே, நேரம் வந்துவிட்டது. உமது குமாரனுக்கு மகிமையைத் தாரும். அதனால் உமது குமாரனும் உமக்கு மகிமையைத் தருவார். 2 உமது குமாரன் அவரிடம் ஒப்படைக்கப்பட்ட அனைத்து மக்களுக்கும் நிரந்தர வாழ்வைக் கொடுக்கும்படியாக அனைத்து மக்கள் மீதும் அவருக்கு அதிகாரம் கொடுத்தீர். 3 அந்த மனிதர்கள், நீர்தான் உண்மையான தேவன் என்பதையும் உம்மால் அனுப்பப்பட்டவர் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து என்பதையும் தெரிந்துகொள்வார்கள். இவ்வாறு தெரிந்துகொள்வதுதான் நிரந்தரமான வாழ்க்கை. 4 நான் செய்யுமாறு நீர் கொடுத்த வேலைகளை நான் முடித்துவிட்டேன். நான் பூமியில் உம்மை மகிமைப்படுத்தினேன். 5 இப்பொழுது, உம்மோடு இருக்கும் மகிமையைத் தாரும். உலகம் உண்டாவதற்கு முன்பிருந்தே உம்மோடு நான் கொண்டிருந்த மகிமையைத் தாரும்.
6 “உலகத்திலிருந்து சில ஆட்களை நீர் எனக்குக் கொடுத்தீர். நான் அவர்களுக்கு உம்மை வெளிப்படுத்தினேன். அவர்கள் உம்முடையவர்களாக இருந்தார்கள். அவர்களை எனக்குத் தந்தீர். அவர்கள் உமது போதனைக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்தார்கள். 7 நீர் எனக்குத் தந்தவையெல்லாம் உம்மிடமிருந்து வந்தவை என்று அவர்கள் இப்போது தெரிந்துகொண்டனர். 8 நீர் எனக்குக் கொடுத்த போதனைகளை நான் அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தேன். அவற்றை அவர்கள் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டனர். உண்மையாகவே நான் உம்மிடமிருந்து வந்திருக்கிறேன் என்பதை அவர்கள் தெரிந்துகொண்டார்கள். நீர் என்னை அனுப்பிவைத்ததையும் அவர்கள் நம்புகிறார்கள். 9 நான் அவர்களுக்காக இப்பொழுது வேண்டுகிறேன். நான் உலகில் உள்ள மக்களுக்காக வேண்டிக்கொள்ளவில்லை. ஆனால் நீர் எனக்குக் கொடுத்த மக்களுக்காக வேண்டுதல் செய்கிறேன். ஏனென்றால் அவர்கள் உம்முடையவர்கள். 10 என்னுடையவை எல்லாம் உம்முடையவை. உம்முடையவை எல்லாம் என்னுடையவை. அவர்களில் நான் மகிமை அடைந்திருக்கிறேன்.
11 “இப்பொழுது நான் உம்மிடத்தில் வந்துகொண்டிருக்கிறேன். நான் இனிமேல் உலகத்தில் இருக்கமாட்டேன். ஆனால் இவர்கள் இப்பொழுதும் உலகத்தில் தான் இருக்கிறார்கள். பரிசுத்த பிதாவே, உமது பெயரின் வல்லமையினால் அவர்கள் பாதுகாப்பாக இருக்கச் செய்யும். இதன் மூலம் நீரும் நானும் ஒன்றாக இருப்பதுபோலவே அவர்களும் ஒன்றாயிருப்பார்கள். 12 நான் அவர்களோடு இருந்தபோது அவர்களைப் பாதுகாத்து வந்தேன். நீர் எனக்குத் தந்த உமது பெயரின் வல்லமையினால் அவர்களைப் பாதுகாத்தேன். அவர்களில் ஒருவன் மட்டும் இழக்கப்பட்டான். (யூதாஸ்) அவன் இழக்கப்படுவதற்காகவே தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டவன். ஏற்கெனவே வேதவாக்கியங்களில் எழுதப்பட்டவை நிறைவேறும்படியே அவன் இழக்கப்பட்டான்.
13 “நான் இப்பொழுது உம்மிடம் வருகிறேன். ஆனால் இவற்றையெல்லாம் நான் உலகில் இருக்கும்போதே வேண்டிக்கொள்கிறேன். நான் இவற்றையெல்லாம் கூறுகிறேன். ஆதலால் அவர்கள் எனது மகிழ்ச்சியைப் பெறமுடியும். அவர்கள் எனது முழுமையான மகிழ்ச்சியையும் பெறவேண்டும் என நான் விரும்புகிறேன். 14 உமது போதனைகளை நான் அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறேன். உலகம் அவர்களை வெறுக்கிறது. ஏனென்றால் அவர்கள் இந்த உலகத்தைச் சார்ந்தவர்கள் அல்லர். நானும் இந்த உலகத்தைச் சார்ந்தவன் அல்லன்.
15 “அவர்களை உலகத்திலிருந்து வெளியே எடுக்கும்படி நான் உம்மை வேண்டிக்கொள்ளவில்லை. அவர்களை நீர் தீமையிலிருந்து பாதுகாத்துக்கொள்ளும்படி வேண்டிக்கொள்கிறேன். 16 நான் இந்த உலகத்தை சாராதது போலவே அவர்களும் இந்த உலகத்தைச் சாராதவர்களாக இருக்கிறார்கள். 17 உம்முடைய உண்மையின் மூலம் உமது சேவைக்கு அவர்களைத் தயார்படுத்தும். உமது போதனையே உண்மை. 18 நீர் என்னை உலகத்துக்கு அனுப்பிவைத்தீர். அது போலவே நானும் அவர்களை உலகத்துக்குள் அனுப்புகிறேன். 19 நான் சேவைக்காக என்னைத் தயார் செய்து கொண்டேன். நான் இதனை அவர்களுக்காகவே செய்கிறேன். எனவே, அவர்களும் உமது சேவைக்காக உண்மையில் தம்மைத் தயார் செய்துகொள்வார்கள்.
20 “நான் இவர்களுக்காக வேண்டிக்கொள்கிறேன். இவர்களுக்காக மட்டுமல்ல இவர்களுடைய உபதேசங்களால் என்மீது நம்பிக்கை வைக்கிறவர்களுக்காகவும் நான் வேண்டிக்கொள்கிறேன். 21 பிதாவே, என்னில் நம்பிக்கை வைக்கிற அனைவரும் ஒன்றாயிருப்பதற்காகவும் நான் வேண்டிக்கொள்கிறேன். நீர் என்னில் இருக்கிறீர். நான் உம்மில் இருக்கிறேன். அவர்கள் எல்லோரும் நம்மில் ஒன்றாக இருக்கும்படிக்கும் நான் உம்மை வேண்டிக்கொள்கிறேன். ஆகையால் இவ்வுலகம் நீர் என்னை அனுப்பினதில் நம்பிக்கைகொள்ளும். 22 நீர் எனக்குத் தந்த மகிமையை நான் தருவதால் அவர்கள் ஒன்றாக இருப்பார்கள். நானும் நீரும் ஒன்றாக இருப்பது போல, 23 நான் அவர்களில் இருப்பேன்; நீர் என்னில் இருப்பீர். ஆக அனைவரும் ஒன்றாக இருப்பார்கள். பிறகு இந்த உலகம் நீர் என்னை அனுப்பினதைத் தெரிந்துகொள்ளும். நீர் என்னிடம் அன்பாக இருப்பதுபோலவே நீர் அவர்களிடமும் அன்பாக இருக்கிறீர் என்பதையும் உலகம் தெரிந்து கொள்ளும்.
24 “பிதாவே! நீர் எனக்குத் தந்த இவர்கள், நான் எங்கே இருந்தாலும் என்னுடனே இருக்குமாறு விரும்புகிறேன். அவர்கள் என் மகிமையைக் காண வேண்டும் எனவும் விரும்புகிறேன். உலகம் உண்டாவதற்கு முன்னரே நீர் என்னுடன் அன்பாக இருந்தீர். இதனால் எனக்கு நீர் மகிமை தந்தீர். 25 பிதாவே! நீர் நல்லவராக இருக்கிறீர். இந்த உலகம் உம்மை அறிந்துகொள்ளவில்லை. ஆனால் உம்மை நான் அறிந்துகொண்டுள்ளேன். இந்த மக்கள் நீர் என்னை அனுப்பினதைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டுள்ளனர். 26 உம்மை நான் அவர்களுக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தினேன். இன்னும் வெளிப்படுத்துவேன். பிறகு நீர் என்னிடம் அன்பாக இருப்பதுபோன்று அவர்களும் அன்பாக இருப்பார்கள். நானும் அவர்களுக்குள் வாழ்வேன்” என்றார்.

17 耶稣说完这番话后，抬头仰望天空，说道∶“父亲，这个时刻来到了，赐给您儿子荣耀吧，好让您的儿子给您带来荣耀， 2 就像您给了他统治全人类的权力那样，以便让他把您给他的永恒的生命给予所有的人。 3 这永恒的生命是：他们知道您派来的耶稣基督和您－唯一的真正的上帝。 4 在这个世界上，我已经展现了您的荣耀，完成了您交给我的工作。 5 所以，现在当着您的面，给我荣耀吧－就是在世界存在之前，我和您在一起时的那种荣耀。”

13 “现在，我就要到您那里来了，但是，我在这个世上时，说这些是为了让他们心中充满我的快乐。 14 我给了他们您的教导，可这世界却憎恨他们，因为他们和我一样，不属于这个世界。 15 我不是请求您把他们带出这个世界，而是请您保护他们，让他们避开魔鬼。 16 他们和我一样，不属于这个世界。 17 请您用真理使他们献身于您，您的教导就是真理。 18 就像您派我来到这个世上一样，我也把他们派到了这个世上。 19 为了他们，我把自己奉献给您的事业，以便他们通过真理，也把自己真正地奉献给您的事业。”

Jesus Prays to Be Glorified
17 After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven(A) and prayed:
“Father, the hour has come.(B) Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you.(C) 2 For you granted him authority over all people(D) that he might give eternal life(E) to all those you have given him.(F) 3 Now this is eternal life: that they know you,(G) the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.(H) 4 I have brought you glory(I) on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do.(J) 5 And now, Father, glorify me(K) in your presence with the glory I had with you(L) before the world began.(M)
Jesus Prays for His Disciples
6 “I have revealed you[a](N) to those whom you gave me(O) out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word. 7 Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you. 8 For I gave them the words you gave me(P) and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you,(Q) and they believed that you sent me.(R) 9 I pray for them.(S) I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me,(T) for they are yours. 10 All I have is yours, and all you have is mine.(U) And glory has come to me through them. 11 I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world,(V) and I am coming to you.(W) Holy Father, protect them by the power of[b] your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one(X) as we are one.(Y) 12 While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by[c] that name you gave me. None has been lost(Z) except the one doomed to destruction(AA) so that Scripture would be fulfilled.(AB)
13 “I am coming to you now,(AC) but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy(AD) within them. 14 I have given them your word and the world has hated them,(AE) for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world.(AF) 15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.(AG) 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.(AH) 17 Sanctify them by[d] the truth; your word is truth.(AI) 18 As you sent me into the world,(AJ) I have sent them into the world.(AK) 19 For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.(AL)
Jesus Prays for All Believers
20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one,(AM) Father, just as you are in me and I am in you.(AN) May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.(AO) 22 I have given them the glory that you gave me,(AP) that they may be one as we are one(AQ)— 23 I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me(AR) and have loved them(AS) even as you have loved me.
24 “Father, I want those you have given me(AT) to be with me where I am,(AU) and to see my glory,(AV) the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.(AW)
25 “Righteous Father, though the world does not know you,(AX) I know you, and they know that you have sent me.(AY) 26 I have made you[e] known to them,(AZ) and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them(BA) and that I myself may be in them.”

12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
25 O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
