சூம்பின கை குணமாக்கப்படுதல்
(மத்தேயு 12:9-14; லூக்கா 6:6-11)
3 மறுமுறையும் ஜெப ஆலயத்திற்குள் இயேசு நுழைந்தார். அங்கே சூம்பின கையை உடைய ஒரு மனிதன் இருந்தான். 2 இயேசு தவறாக ஏதேனும் செய்யும் பட்சத்தில் அவரைக் குற்றம் சாட்டலாம் என்று சில யூதர்கள் கவனித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தனர். ஓய்வு நாளில் அவனைக் குணமாக்குவாரா என்று பார்க்கக் காத்திருந்தனர். 3 இயேசு சூம்பிய கையை உடையவனிடம், “எழுந்து இங்கே நில். அப்போதுதான் உன்னை எல்லாரும் பார்க்க முடியும்” என்றார்.
4 பிறகு இயேசு மக்களிடம், “ஓய்வு நாளில் எது செய்வது சரியாக இருக்கும்? நன்மை செய்வதா, தீமை செய்வதா? ஒரு உயிரைக் காப்பாற்றுவது சரியா? அழிப்பது சரியா?” என்று கேட்டார். மக்கள் பதிலொன்றும் சொல்லவில்லை.
5 இயேசு மக்களைப் பார்த்தார். அவருக்கோ கோபம் வந்தது. அவர்கள் கடின மனம் உடையவர்களாய் இருந்ததால் இயேசுவுக்கு வருத்தம் ஏற்பட்டது. இயேசு அந்த மனிதனிடம், “உன் கையை நீட்டு” என்றார். அவனும் இயேசுவிடம் தன் கையை நீட்டினான். அது குணமாகியது. 6 பிறகு பரிசேயர்கள் அந்த இடத்தை விட்டுப் போய் ஏரோதியரோடு கூடக் கலந்து இயேசுவைக் கொல்வதற்குத் திட்டமிட்டனர்.
இயேசுவின் பின் திரளான கூட்டம்
7 தனது சீஷர்களோடு இயேசு ஏரிப்பக்கம் சென்றார். கலிலேயா மக்களில் பலர் அவரைப் பின் தொடர்ந்தனர். 8 பிறகு யூதேயாவில் இருந்தும், எருசலேமிலிருந்தும், இதுமேயாவில் இருந்தும், யோர்தானுக்கு அக்கரையில் இருந்தும் ஏராளமான மக்கள் வந்தனர். அத்துடன் தீரு, சீதோன் பகுதிகளில் இருந்தும் மக்கள் வந்தனர். அவர்கள் அனைவரும் இயேசு செய்த அற்புதங்களை அறிந்திருந்தனர். ஆகவேதான் அவர்கள் வந்தார்கள்.
9 இயேசு பலரையும் பார்த்தார். அவர் தன் சீஷர்களிடம் ஒரு சிறிய படகு கொண்டுவந்து அதனை அவருக்குத் தயார் செய்யும்படிக் கேட்டுக்கொண்டார். மக்கள் தம்மை நெருக்கித் தள்ளாதபடிக்கு அப்படகில் ஏறிக்கொண்டார். 10 இயேசு ஏற்கெனவே பலரைக் குணமாக்கி இருந்தார். ஆகவே ஏராளமான நோயுற்ற மக்கள் நெருக்கிக்கொண்டு வந்து அவரைத் தொட முயன்றார்கள். 11 சிலர் அசுத்த ஆவிகளால் பிடிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தனர். ஆவிகள் இயேசுவைக் கண்டதும் அவருக்கு முன் குனிந்து, “நீர் தான் தேவனுடைய குமாரன்” என்று உரக்கச் சத்தமிட்டன. 12 ஆனால் இயேசு, தாம் யார் என்பதை மக்களுக்குக் கூறாதிருக்கும்படி அவற்றிற்கு உறுதியாகக் கட்டளையிட்டார்.
அப்போஸ்தலரைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தல்
(மத்தேயு 10:1-4; லூக்கா 6:12-16)
13 பிறகு, இயேசு குன்றின்மீது ஏறினார். அவர் சிலரை தன்னுடன் வருமாறு சொன்னார். இந்த மனிதரே அவருக்குத் தேவையானவர்களாய் இருந்தனர். அவர்கள் இயேசுவிடம் சென்றனர். 14 அவர்களில் பன்னிரண்டு பேரை இயேசு தேர்ந்தெடுத்துக்கொண்டார். அவர்களை அப்போஸ்தலர் என்று அழைத்தார். அவர்கள் தன்னுடன் இருக்க வேண்டும் என்று இயேசு விரும்பினார். அவர்களைப் பல இடங்களுக்கு அனுப்பி பிரசங்கம் செய்யும்படி விரும்பினார். 15 அத்துடன் பிசாசுகளை விரட்டுவதற்கான அதிகாரத்தை அவர்கள் பெற்றிருக்கவும் இயேசு விரும்பினார். 16 அவர் தேர்ந்தெடுத்த பன்னிரண்டு பேரின் பெயர்களும் பின்வருமாறு:
சீமோன், இயேசு இவனுக்கு பேதுரு என்று பெயரிட்டார்.
17 யாக்கோபு, யோவான் இவர்கள் செபெதேயுவின் குமாரர்கள்.
(இயேசு இவர்களுக்கு பொவனெர்கேஸ் என்று பெயர் வைத்தார்.
இதற்கு “இடி முழக்கத்தின் மக்கள்” என்று பொருள்)
18 அந்திரேயா,
பிலிப்பு,
பர்த்தலோமேயு,
மத்தேயு,
தோமா,
அல்பேயுவின் குமாரனான யாக்கோபு,
ததேயு,
கானானியனான சீமோன்,
19 யூதா ஸ்காரியோத்.
இந்த யூதாஸ்தான் இயேசுவை அவரது பகைவர்களிடம் காட்டிக்கொடுத்தவன்.
பிசாசு பிடித்தவர் என பழித்துரைத்தல்

20 பிறகு, இயேசு வீட்டிற்குச் சென்றார். ஆனால் மறுபடியும் அங்கு மக்கள் கூடினர். இயேசுவும் அவரது சீஷர்களும் உணவு உட்கொள்ள முடியாதபடி மக்கள் கூடினர். 21 இயேசுவின் குடும்பத்தார் இவற்றைப்பற்றி எல்லாம் கேள்விப்பட்டனர். அவர் மதிமயங்கியுள்ளார் என்று மக்கள் சொன்னதால் அவரது குடும்பத்தார் அவரைப் பிடித்து வைத்துக்கொள்ள விரும்பினர்.
22 எருசலேமில் இருந்து வந்த வேதபாரகர், “இயேசுவிடம் பெயல்செபூல் (பிசாசு) உள்ளது. பிசாசுகளின் தலைவனது அதிகாரத்தை அவர் பயன்படுத்தி பேய்களை விரட்டுகிறார்” என்றனர்.
23 ஆகையால் இயேசு மக்களை அழைத்தார். அவர்களிடம் அவர் உவமைகள் மூலம் விளக்கிச் சொன்னார். “சாத்தானை சாத்தான் துரத்துவது எப்படி? என்று கேட்டார். 24 ஒரு இராஜ்யம் தனக்குத்தானே பகைத்துக் கொண்டால் அது எவ்வாறு தொடர்ந்திருக்க முடியும்? 25 ஒரு குடும்பம் தனக்குத்தானே பகைத்துக் கொண்டால் அது எவ்வாறு அழியாமல் இருக்கும்? 26 இது போல் சாத்தானும் தனக்கு எதிராகத் தானே பிளவுபட்டு இருந்தால் அவன் நிலைத்திருக்க முடியாது. அதுவே அவன் முடிவு.

28 “உண்மையாகவே நான் உங்களுக்குக் கூறுகிறேன், மக்களால் செய்யப்படுகிற அத்தனைப் பாவங்களும் மன்னிக்கப்படும். அத்துடன் மக்களால் தேவனுக்கு எதிராகச் சொல்லப்படும் பழிகளும் மன்னிக்கப்படும். 29 ஆனால், பரிசுத்தாவியை எவனாவது பழித்து உரைப்பானேயானால் அவனுக்கு என்றென்றைக்கும் மன்னிப்பே இல்லை. அவன் குற்றவாளியாகி என்றென்றைக்கும் குற்ற உணர்வுடையவனாக இருப்பான்” என்றார்.
30 வேதபாரகர் இயேசுவை “அசுத்த ஆவி பிடித்தவர்” என்று சொன்னதால், அவர் இவ்வாறு விளக்கமாகக் கூறினார்.
இயேசுவின் உண்மை உறவினர்கள்

31 பிறகு இயேசுவின் தாயாரும், சகோதரர்களும் வந்தனர். அவர்கள் வெளியே நின்று கொண்டு ஓர் ஆளை அனுப்பி இயேசுவை அழைத்தனர். 32 இயேசுவைச் சுற்றிப் பலர் அமர்ந்திருந்தனர். அப்போது அவன், “உங்கள் தாயும் சகோதரர்களும் வெளியே உங்களுக்காகக் காத்திருக்கின்றனர்” என்றான்.
33 இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “யார் என் தாய்? யார் என் சகோதரர்கள்?” என்று கேட்டார். 34 பிறகு தன்னைச் சுற்றி அமர்ந்திருந்தவர்களை நோக்கி, “இந்த மக்களே என் தாயாரும், சகோதரருமாய் இருக்கிறார்கள். 35 தேவனின் விருப்பத்துக்கேற்ப நடந்துகொள்கிறவர்கள் எவர்களோ அவர்களே எனக்குச் சகோதரனும், சகோதரியும், தாயுமாய் இருக்கிறார்கள்” என்று கூறினார்.

Jesus cura no sábado
3 Em outra ocasião, Jesus entrou na sinagoga e notou que havia ali um homem com uma das mãos deformada. 2 Os inimigos de Jesus o observavam atentamente. Se ele curasse a mão do homem, planejavam acusá-lo, pois era sábado.
3 Jesus disse ao homem com a mão deformada: “Venha e fique diante de todos”. 4 Em seguida, voltou-se para seus críticos e perguntou: “O que a lei permite fazer no sábado? O bem ou o mal? Salvar uma vida ou destruí-la?”. Eles ficaram em silêncio.
5 Jesus olhou para os que estavam ao seu redor, irado e muito triste pelo coração endurecido deles. Então disse ao homem: “Estenda a mão”. O homem estendeu a mão, e ela foi restaurada. 6 No mesmo instante, os fariseus saíram e se reuniram com os membros do partido de Herodes para tramar um modo de matá-lo.
Multidões seguem Jesus
7 Jesus saiu para o mar com seus discípulos, e uma grande multidão os seguiu. Vinham de todas as partes da Galileia, da Judeia, 8 de Jerusalém, da Idumeia, do leste do rio Jordão e até de lugares distantes ao norte, como Tiro e Sidom. A notícia de seus milagres havia se espalhado para longe, e um grande número de pessoas vinha vê-lo.
9 Jesus instruiu seus discípulos a prepararem um barco para evitar que a multidão o esmagasse. 10 Havia curado muitos naquele dia, e os enfermos se empurravam para chegar até ele e tocá-lo. 11 E, sempre que o viam, os espíritos impuros se atiravam no chão na frente dele e gritavam: “Você é o Filho de Deus!”. 12 Jesus, porém, lhes dava ordens severas para que não revelassem quem ele era.
Jesus escolhe os doze apóstolos
13 Depois, Jesus subiu a um monte e chamou aqueles que ele desejava que o acompanhassem, e eles foram. 14 Escolheu doze e os chamou seus apóstolos,[a] para que o seguissem e fossem enviados para anunciar sua mensagem, 15 e lhes deu autoridade para expulsar demônios. 16 Estes foram os doze que ele escolheu:
Simão, a quem ele chamou Pedro,
17 Tiago e João, filhos de Zebedeu, aos quais deu o nome de Boanerges, que significa “filhos do trovão”,
18 André,
Filipe,
Bartolomeu,
Mateus,
Tomé,
Tiago, filho de Alfeu,
Tadeu,
Simão, o cananeu,
19 Judas Iscariotes, que depois o traiu.
A fonte do poder de Jesus
20 Certo dia, Jesus entrou numa casa, e as multidões começaram a se juntar outra vez. Logo, ele e seus discípulos não tinham tempo nem para comer. 21 Quando os familiares de Jesus souberam o que estava acontecendo, tentaram impedi-lo de continuar. “Está fora de si”, diziam.
22 Então os mestres da lei, que tinham vindo de Jerusalém, disseram: “Está possuído por Belzebu, príncipe dos demônios. É dele que recebe poder para expulsar demônios”.
23 Jesus os chamou e respondeu com uma comparação: “Como é possível Satanás expulsar Satanás?”, perguntou. 24 “Um reino dividido internamente será destruído. 25 Da mesma forma, uma família dividida contra si mesma se desintegrará. 26 E, se Satanás está dividido e luta contra si mesmo, não pode se manter de pé; está acabado. 27 Quem tem poder para entrar na casa de um homem forte e saquear seus bens? Somente alguém ainda mais forte, alguém capaz de amarrá-lo e saquear sua casa.
28 “Eu lhes digo a verdade: todo pecado e toda blasfêmia podem ser perdoados, 29 mas quem blasfemar contra o Espírito Santo jamais será perdoado. Esse é um pecado com consequências eternas.” 30 Ele disse isso porque afirmavam: “Está possuído por um espírito impuro”.
A verdadeira família de Jesus
31 Então a mãe e os irmãos de Jesus foram vê-lo. Ficaram do lado de fora e mandaram alguém avisá-lo para sair e falar com eles. 32 Havia muitas pessoas sentadas ao seu redor, e alguém disse: “Sua mãe e seus irmãos[b] estão lá fora e o procuram”.
33 Jesus respondeu: “Quem é minha mãe? Quem são meus irmãos?”. 34 Então olhou para aqueles que estavam ao seu redor e disse: “Vejam, estes são minha mãe e meus irmãos. 35 Quem faz a vontade de Deus é meu irmão, minha irmã e minha mãe”.

Jesus Heals on the Sabbath
3 Another time Jesus went into the synagogue,(A) and a man with a shriveled hand was there. 2 Some of them were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely(B) to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath.(C) 3 Jesus said to the man with the shriveled hand, “Stand up in front of everyone.”
4 Then Jesus asked them, “Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they remained silent.
5 He looked around at them in anger and, deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts, said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored. 6 Then the Pharisees went out and began to plot with the Herodians(D) how they might kill Jesus.(E)
Crowds Follow Jesus(F)
7 Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the lake, and a large crowd from Galilee followed.(G) 8 When they heard about all he was doing, many people came to him from Judea, Jerusalem, Idumea, and the regions across the Jordan and around Tyre and Sidon.(H) 9 Because of the crowd he told his disciples to have a small boat ready for him, to keep the people from crowding him. 10 For he had healed many,(I) so that those with diseases were pushing forward to touch him.(J) 11 Whenever the impure spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God.”(K) 12 But he gave them strict orders not to tell others about him.(L)
Jesus Appoints the Twelve(M)
13 Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to him those he wanted, and they came to him.(N) 14 He appointed twelve[a](O) that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach 15 and to have authority to drive out demons.(P) 16 These are the twelve he appointed: Simon (to whom he gave the name Peter),(Q) 17 James son of Zebedee and his brother John (to them he gave the name Boanerges, which means “sons of thunder”), 18 Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Zealot 19 and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.
Jesus Accused by His Family and by Teachers of the Law(R)(S)
20 Then Jesus entered a house, and again a crowd gathered,(T) so that he and his disciples were not even able to eat.(U) 21 When his family[b] heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.”(V)
22 And the teachers of the law who came down from Jerusalem(W) said, “He is possessed by Beelzebul!(X) By the prince of demons he is driving out demons.”(Y)
23 So Jesus called them over to him and began to speak to them in parables:(Z) “How can Satan(AA) drive out Satan? 24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25 If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. 26 And if Satan opposes himself and is divided, he cannot stand; his end has come. 27 In fact, no one can enter a strong man’s house without first tying him up. Then he can plunder the strong man’s house.(AB) 28 Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter, 29 but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin.”(AC)
30 He said this because they were saying, “He has an impure spirit.”
31 Then Jesus’ mother and brothers arrived.(AD) Standing outside, they sent someone in to call him. 32 A crowd was sitting around him, and they told him, “Your mother and brothers are outside looking for you.”
33 “Who are my mother and my brothers?” he asked.
34 Then he looked at those seated in a circle around him and said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! 35 Whoever does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.”

9 And he spake to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.
10 For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues.
11 And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.
12 And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known.
13 And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto him whom he would: and they came unto him.
14 And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,
15 And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:
16 And Simon he surnamed Peter;

23 And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?
24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
26 And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
27 No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.
28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:
29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.
30 Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.
31 There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him.
32 And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.
33 And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren?
34 And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.
