தாவீதின் மிக்தாம் என்னும் பாடல்.
16 தேவனே, நாம் உம்மைச் சார்ந்திருப்பதால் என்னைக் காத்துக்கொள்ளும்.
2 நான் கர்த்தரை நோக்கி, “கர்த்தாவே, நீர் என் ஆண்டவர்,
என்னிடமுள்ள நற்காரியம் ஒவ்வொன்றும் உம்மிடமிருந்து வருகிறது” என்றேன்.
3 பூமியிலுள்ள தன் சீடருக்கு கர்த்தர் அற்புதமானவற்றைச் செய்கிறார்.
அந்த ஜனங்களை உண்மையாய் நேசிப்பதை கர்த்தர் காட்டுகிறார்.
4 பிற தெய்வங்களைத் தொழுதுகொள்ள ஓடும் ஜனங்களோ வேதனைக்கு ஆளாவார்கள்.
அவ்விக்கிரகங்களுக்கு அவர்கள் படைக்கும் இரத்த பலிகளில் நான் பங்கு கொள்ளமாட்டேன்.
அவ்விக்கிரகங்களின் பெயர்களையும் கூட நான் கூறமாட்டேன்.
5 என் பங்கும் பாத்திரமும் கர்த்தரிடமிருந்தே வரும்.
கர்த்தாவே, எனக்கு உதவும், என் பங்கை எனக்குத் தாரும்.
6 என் பரம்பரைச் சொத்து அற்புதமானது.
நான் பெற்ற பங்கு மிக அழகானது.
7 எனக்கு நன்கு போதித்த கர்த்தரைத் துதிப்பேன்.
இரவில் என் உள்ளத்தின் ஆழத்திலிருந்து இந்த ஆலோசனைகள் வருகின்றன.
8 என் கர்த்தரை எப்பொழுதும் எனக்கு முன்பாக வைத்திருக்கிறேன்.
அவர் என் வலதுபுறத்திலிருப்பதால் நிச்சயமாய் விலகமாட்டேன்.
9 என் இருதயமும் ஆத்துமாவும் மிகவும் மகிழும்.
என் உடலும் பாதுகாப்பாய் வாழும்.
10 ஏனெனில் கர்த்தாவே, என் ஆத்துமாவை மரணத்தின் இடத்தில் இருக்கவிடமாட்டீர்.
உம்மீது நம்பிக்கை வைத்த ஒருவரையும் கல்லறையில் அழுகிப்போக அனுமதிக்கமாட்டீர்.
11 சரியான வழியில் வாழ நீர் எனக்குப் போதிப்பீர்.
கர்த்தாவே, உம்மோடிருப்பதே எனக்குப் பூரண ஆனந்தம் தரும்.
உமது வலதுபுறத்தில் தங்குவதே என்றென்றும் இன்பம் தரும்.

信靠之福
大衛的詩。
16 上帝啊！我投靠你，
求你保護我。
2 我對耶和華說：「你是我的主，
我美好的一切都從你而來。」
3 世上敬畏你的人極其尊貴，
是我所喜愛的。
4 追隨假神的人，其愁苦必有增無減。
我必不向他們的假神獻上血祭，
口中也不提假神的名號。
5 耶和華啊，你是我的一切，
你賜我一切福分，
你掌管我的一切。
6 你賜我佳美之地，
我的產業何其美！
7 我要稱頌賜我教誨的耶和華，
我的良心也在夜間提醒我。
8 我常以耶和華為念，
祂在我右邊，我必不動搖。
9 因此，我的心歡喜，
我的靈快樂，
我的身體也安然無恙。
10 你不會把我的靈魂撇在陰間，
也不會讓你的聖者身體朽壞。
11 你把生命之路指示我，
你右手有永遠的福樂，

The Best Choice
1 Protect me, Lord God!
I run to you for safety,
2 and I have said,
“Only you are my Lord!
Every good thing I have
is a gift from you.”
3 Your people are wonderful,
and they make me happy,[a]
4 but worshipers of other gods
will have much sorrow.[b]
I refuse to offer sacrifices
of blood to those gods
or worship in their name.
5 You, Lord, are all I want!
You are my choice,
and you keep me safe.
6 You make my life pleasant,
and my future is bright.
7 I praise you, Lord,
for being my guide.
Even in the darkest night,
your teachings fill my mind.
8 (A) I will always look to you,
as you stand beside me
and protect me from fear.
9 With all my heart,
I will celebrate,
and I can safely rest.

2 I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;(C)
apart from you I have no good thing.”(D)
3 I say of the holy people(E) who are in the land,(F)
“They are the noble ones in whom is all my delight.”
4 Those who run after other gods(G) will suffer(H) more and more.
I will not pour out libations of blood to such gods
or take up their names(I) on my lips.
5 Lord, you alone are my portion(J) and my cup;(K)
you make my lot(L) secure.
6 The boundary lines(M) have fallen for me in pleasant places;
surely I have a delightful inheritance.(N)
7 I will praise the Lord, who counsels me;(O)
even at night(P) my heart instructs me.
8 I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
With him at my right hand,(Q) I will not be shaken.(R)
9 Therefore my heart is glad(S) and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will rest secure,(T)
10 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,(U)
nor will you let your faithful[b] one(V) see decay.(W)
11 You make known to me the path of life;(X)
