தீருவைப்பற்றிய துக்கச் செய்தி
26 பதினோராம் ஆண்டின் முதல் தேதியில் கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை என்னிடம் வந்தது. அவர் சொன்னார்: 2 “மனுபுத்திரனே, எருசலேமைப்பற்றி தீரு கெட்டவற்றைச் சொன்னது: ‘ஆ, ஆ! ஜனங்களைப் பாதுகாக்கிற நகரவாசல் அழிக்கப்பட்டது! நகரவாசல் எனக்காகத் திறக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. இந்நகரம் (எருசலேம்) அழிக்கப்படுகிறது எனவே அதிலிருந்து எனக்கு ஏராளமான விலைமதிப்புள்ள பொருட்கள் கிடைக்கும்!’”
3 ஆகையால் எனது கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் கூறுகிறார்: “தீரு! நான் உனக்கு விரோதமானவன். உனக்கு எதிராகச் சண்டையிட பல நாடுகளை அழைத்துவருவேன். அவர்கள் மீண்டும், மீண்டும் கடற்கரை அலைகளைப்போன்று வருவார்கள்.”
4 தேவன் சொன்னார்: “அந்தப் பகைவீரர்கள் தீருவின் சுவர்களை அழிப்பார்கள், கோபுரங்களை இடித்துத் தள்ளுவார்கள், நானும் அந்நாட்டின் மேல் மண்ணைத் துடைப்பேன். தீருவை வெறும் பாறையைப்போன்று ஆக்குவேன். 5 தீருவானது மீன் பிடிப்பதற்கான வலைகள் விரித்து வைப்பதற்குரிய இடமாக ஆகும். நான் இதைச் சொன்னேன்!” எனது கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் கூறுகிறார்: “தீரு, போரில் வீரர்கள் எடுக்கத்தக்கதான விலைமதிப்புள்ள பொருளாகும். 6 அவளது குமாரத்திகள் (சிறு நகரங்கள்), முக்கிய பிராதான நிலத்தில் போரில் கொல்லப்படுவார்கள். பிறகு அவர்கள் நானே கர்த்தர் என்று அறிவார்கள்.”
தீருவை நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் தாக்குவான்
7 எனது கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் இவற்றைக் கூறுகிறார்: “நான் தீருவுக்கு விரோதமாக வடக்கிலிருந்து பகைவரை வரவழைப்பேன். அப்பகைவன், பாபிலோன் ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சார்! அவன் பெரும்படையைக் கொண்டுவருவான். அதில் குதிரைகள், இரதங்கள், குதிரை வீரர்கள், மற்றும் ஏராளமான வீரர்களும் இருப்பார்கள்! அவ்வீரர்கள் பல்வேறு நாடுகளில் உள்ளவர்கள். 8 நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் உனது முக்கியமான நிலத்திலுள்ள குமாரத்திகளை (சிறு நகரங்களை) கொல்வான். உன் பட்டணத்தைத் தாக்க அவன் கோபுரங்களைக் கட்டுவான். உன் நகரைச் சுற்றி மண் பாதை போடுவான். அவன் மதில் சுவர்வரை போகும் வழிகளை அமைப்பான். 9 உனது சுவர்களை இடிக்க பெருந்தடிகளைக் கொண்டுவருவான். அவன் கடப்பாரைகளைப் பயன்படுத்தி உனது கோபுரங்களை இடிப்பான். 10 அங்கு ஏராளமாக குதிரைகள் இருக்கும். அவற்றிலுள்ள புழுதி உன்னை மூடும். குதிரை வீரர்கள், வாகனங்கள், இரதங்கள் ஆகியவற்றுடன் பாபிலோன் ராஜா நகர வாசல் வழியாக நுழையும்போது எழும் சத்தத்தால் உன் சுவர்கள் நடுங்கும், ஆம், அவர்கள் உன் நகரத்திற்குள்ளே வருவார்கள். ஏனென்றால், அதன் சுவர்கள் இடித்துத் தள்ளப்படும். 11 பாபிலோன் ராஜா நகரவாசல் வழியாக நகரத்திற்குள் சவாரி செய்து வருவான். அவனது குதிரைகளின் குளம்புகளினால் உன் வீதிகளை எல்லாம் மிதிப்பான். அவன் உன் ஜனங்களை வாள்களால் கொல்லுவான். உன் நகரில் உள்ள பலமான தூண்கள் தரையில் விழுந்துபோகும். 12 உனது செல்வங்களை நேபுகாத்நேச்சாரின் ஆட்கள் எடுத்துக்கொள்வார்கள். நீ விற்க விரும்புகிற பொருட்களை அவர்கள் எடுத்துக்கொள்வார்கள். அவர்கள் உன் சுவர்களை உடைத்தெறிவார்கள், கல்லாலும் மரத்தாலுமான இன்பமான வீடுகளை அழித்துக் குப்பையைப்போன்று கடலில் எறிவார்கள். 13 எனவே, நான் உனது மகிழ்ச்சியான பாடல் ஒலியை நிறுத்துவேன். ஜனங்கள் உனது சுரமண்டல ஒலியை இனிக் கேட்கமாட்டார்கள். 14 நான் உன்னை வெறுமையான பாறையாக்குவேன். நீ மீன் பிடிக்கும் வலையைப் பரப்புவதற்குரிய இடமாவாய்! நீ மீண்டும் கட்டப்படமாட்டாய். ஏனென்றால், கர்த்தராகிய நான் பேசினேன்!” எனது கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் இவற்றைக் கூறினார்.
பிற நாடுகள் தீருக்காக அழும்
15 எனது கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் தீருக்கு இதைக் கூறுகிறார்: “மத்தியதரை கடலோரங்களிலுள்ள நகரங்கள் எல்லாம் நீ விழுகிற சப்தம் கேட்டு நடுங்கும். உன் ஜனங்கள் காயமும் மரணமும் அடையும்போது இது நிகழும். 16 பிறகு அந்நாடுகளில் உள்ள தலைவர்கள் தம் சிங்காசனத்தை விட்டு இறங்கி தம் துக்கத்தை வெளிப்படுத்துவார்கள். அவர்கள் தம் சிறப்பிற்குரிய ஆடைகளை அகற்றிவிடுவார்கள். அவர்கள் தம் அழகான ஆடைகளை அகற்றுவார்கள். பிறகு அவர்கள் தம் நடுக்கமாகிய ஆடையை (பயம்) அணிந்துகொள்வார்கள். அவர்கள் தரையில் அமர்ந்து அச்சத்தால் நடுங்குவார்கள். நீ இவ்வளவு விரைவாக அழிக்கப்பட்டதை எண்ணி அவர்கள் பிரமிப்பார்கள். 17 அவர்கள் உன்னைப்பற்றி இச்சோகப் பாடலைப் பாடுவார்கள்:
“‘ஓ தீருவே, நீ புகழ்பெற்ற நகரமாக இருந்தாய்.
ஜனங்கள் உன்னிடம் வாழக் கடல் கடந்து வந்தனர்.
நீ புகழோடு இருந்தாய்.
இப்போது நீ போய்விட்டாய்!
கடலில் நீ பலத்தோடு இருந்தாய்.
உன்னில் வாழ்பவர்களும் அப்படியே இருந்தார்கள்.
முக்கிய நிலத்தில் வாழ்பவர்களையெல்லாம் பயமுறுத்தினாய்.
18 இப்பொழுது நீ விழும் நாளில்
தீவுகளில் உள்ள நாடுகள் அச்சத்தால் நடுங்குகின்றன.
நீ பல குடியிருப்புக் கூட்டங்களைக் கடலோரமாகத் தொடங்கினாய்.
இப்பொழுது, நீ வீழ்ச்சியடையும் அன்று கடலோர நாடுகள் அச்சத்தால் நடுங்குவார்கள்.’”
19 எனது கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் இவற்றைக் கூறுகிறார்: “தீரு, நான் உன்னை அழிப்பேன். நீ ஒரு பழைய வெறுமையான நகரமாவாய். அங்கு எவரும் வாழமாட்டார்கள். கடல் பொங்கி உன்மேல் பாயும்படி செய்வேன். பெருங்கடல் உன்னை மூடிவிடும். 20 நான் உன்னை மரித்த மனிதர்கள் இருக்கின்ற ஆழமான பாதாளத்திற்கு அனுப்புவேன். நீ நீண்ட காலத்திற்கு முன்னால் மரித்தவர்களோடு சேர்வாய். நீ குடியேறாமல் இருக்கும்படி தொடக்க காலம் முதல் பாழாயிருக்கிற பூமியின் தாழ்விடங்களிலே குழியில் இறங்குகிறவர்களோடு நான் உன்னைத் தங்கச் செய்வேன். பிறகு உன்னில் எவரும் வாழமாட்டார்கள். உயிர்கள் வாழும் இடத்தில் நீ இருக்கமாட்டாய்! 21 பிற ஜனங்கள் உனக்கு ஏற்பட்டதைப் பார்த்து அஞ்சுவார்கள். நீ முடிந்துபோவாய். ஜனங்கள் உன்னைத் தேடுவார்கள். அவர்கள் உன்னை மீண்டும் காணமாட்டார்கள்!” எனது கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்வது இதுதான்.

A Prophecy Against Tyre
26 In the eleventh month of the twelfth[a] year, on the first day of the month, the word of the Lord came to me:(A) 2 “Son of man, because Tyre(B) has said of Jerusalem, ‘Aha!(C) The gate to the nations is broken, and its doors have swung open to me; now that she lies in ruins I will prosper,’ 3 therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against you, Tyre, and I will bring many nations against you, like the sea(D) casting up its waves. 4 They will destroy(E) the walls of Tyre(F) and pull down her towers; I will scrape away her rubble and make her a bare rock. 5 Out in the sea(G) she will become a place to spread fishnets,(H) for I have spoken, declares the Sovereign Lord. She will become plunder(I) for the nations,(J) 6 and her settlements on the mainland will be ravaged by the sword. Then they will know that I am the Lord.
7 “For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: From the north I am going to bring against Tyre Nebuchadnezzar[b](K) king of Babylon, king of kings,(L) with horses and chariots,(M) with horsemen and a great army. 8 He will ravage your settlements on the mainland with the sword; he will set up siege works(N) against you, build a ramp(O) up to your walls and raise his shields against you. 9 He will direct the blows of his battering rams against your walls and demolish your towers with his weapons.(P) 10 His horses will be so many that they will cover you with dust. Your walls will tremble at the noise of the warhorses, wagons and chariots(Q) when he enters your gates as men enter a city whose walls have been broken through. 11 The hooves(R) of his horses will trample all your streets; he will kill your people with the sword, and your strong pillars(S) will fall to the ground.(T) 12 They will plunder your wealth and loot your merchandise; they will break down your walls and demolish your fine houses and throw your stones, timber and rubble into the sea.(U) 13 I will put an end(V) to your noisy songs,(W) and the music of your harps(X) will be heard no more.(Y) 14 I will make you a bare rock, and you will become a place to spread fishnets. You will never be rebuilt,(Z) for I the Lord have spoken, declares the Sovereign Lord.
15 “This is what the Sovereign Lord says to Tyre: Will not the coastlands(AA) tremble(AB) at the sound of your fall, when the wounded groan(AC) and the slaughter takes place in you? 16 Then all the princes of the coast will step down from their thrones and lay aside their robes and take off their embroidered(AD) garments. Clothed(AE) with terror, they will sit on the ground,(AF) trembling(AG) every moment, appalled(AH) at you. 17 Then they will take up a lament(AI) concerning you and say to you:
“‘How you are destroyed, city of renown,
peopled by men of the sea!
You were a power on the seas,
you and your citizens;
you put your terror
on all who lived there.(AJ)
18 Now the coastlands tremble(AK)
on the day of your fall;
the islands in the sea
are terrified at your collapse.’(AL)
19 “This is what the Sovereign Lord says: When I make you a desolate city, like cities no longer inhabited, and when I bring the ocean depths(AM) over you and its vast waters cover you,(AN) 20 then I will bring you down with those who go down to the pit,(AO) to the people of long ago. I will make you dwell in the earth below, as in ancient ruins, with those who go down to the pit, and you will not return or take your place[c] in the land of the living.(AP) 21 I will bring you to a horrible end and you will be no more.(AQ) You will be sought, but you will never again be found, declares the Sovereign Lord.”(AR)

I shall be replenished, now that she is laid waste,’ 3 therefore thus says the Lord God: (E)Behold, I am against you, O Tyre, and will bring up (F)many nations against you, (G)as the sea brings up its waves. 4 They shall destroy the walls of Tyre and break down her towers, and I will scrape her soil from her and (H)make her a bare rock. 5 She (I)shall be in the midst of the sea a place for the spreading of nets, (J)for I have spoken, declares the Lord God. And she shall become plunder for the nations, 6 and her daughters on the mainland shall be killed by the sword. (K)Then they will know that I am the Lord.
7 “For thus says the Lord God: (L)Behold, I will bring against Tyre (M)from the north Nebuchadnezzar[a] king of Babylon, (N)king of kings, with horses and chariots, and with horsemen and a host of many soldiers. 8 He will kill with the sword (O)your daughters on the mainland. (P)He will set up a siege wall against you and throw up a mound against you, and raise (Q)a roof of shields against you. 9 (R)He will direct the shock of his battering rams against your walls, and with his axes he will break down your towers. 10 His horses will be so many that their dust will cover you. Your walls will shake at the noise of the horsemen and wagons and chariots, when he enters your gates as men enter a city that has been breached. 11 With the hoofs of his horses he will trample all your streets. He will kill your people with the sword, and your mighty pillars will fall to the ground. 12 They will plunder (S)your riches and loot (T)your merchandise. They will break down your walls and destroy your pleasant houses. Your stones and timber and (U)soil they will cast into the midst of the waters. 13 (V)And I will stop the music of your songs, and (W)the sound of your lyres shall be heard no more. 14 (X)I will make you a bare rock. (Y)You shall be a place for the spreading of nets. You shall never be rebuilt, (Z)for I am the Lord; I have spoken, declares the Lord God.
15 “Thus says the Lord God to Tyre: Will not (AA)the coastlands shake at the sound of your fall, (AB)when the wounded groan, when slaughter is made in your midst? 16 Then all (AC)the princes of the sea will step down from their thrones and (AD)remove their robes and strip off their embroidered garments. They will clothe themselves with trembling; (AE)they will sit on the ground and (AF)tremble every moment and (AG)be appalled at you. 17 And they will (AH)raise a lamentation over you and say to you,
“‘How you have perished,
you who were inhabited from the seas,
O city renowned,
(AI)who was mighty on the sea;
she and her inhabitants (AJ)imposed their terror
on all her inhabitants!
18 Now the coastlands tremble
on the day of your fall,
and the coastlands that are on the sea
are dismayed at your passing.’
19 “For thus says the Lord God: When I make you a city laid waste, like the cities that are not inhabited, (AK)when I bring up the deep over you, and the great waters cover you, 20 then (AL)I will make you go down with those who go down to the pit, to the people of old, and I will make you to dwell in the world below, among ruins from of old, (AM)with those who go down to the pit, so that you will not be inhabited; but I will set beauty (AN)in the land of the living. 21 I will bring you (AO)to a dreadful end, and you shall be no more. (AP)Though you be sought for, you will never be found again, declares the Lord God.”

26 El día primero del mes primero del año undécimo la palabra del Señor vino a mí, y me dijo:
2 «Hijo de hombre, cuando Jerusalén, que era la puerta de las naciones, fue conquistada, Tiro(A) se burló de ella y pensó en sacar provecho de su caída. 3 Por eso yo, el Señor y Dios, estoy en contra de Tiro, y voy a lanzar contra Tiro a muchas naciones, que la azotarán como las olas del mar. 4 Las murallas y las torres de Tiro se vendrán abajo. ¡Voy a barrerla por completo! ¡Voy a dejarla lisa como una peña! 5 Será saqueada por las naciones, y quedará en medio del mar como un tendedero de redes, porque así lo he dicho.
Palabra de Dios el Señor.
6 »En los campos, sus hijas morirán a filo de espada. Así sabrán que yo soy el Señor.»
7 Sí, así ha dicho Dios el Señor:
«Tiro, del norte voy a traer contra ti al rey Nabucodonosor de Babilonia, que es rey entre los reyes, y que cuenta con caballos y carros de guerra, y con soldados de caballería y grandes ejércitos. 8 A tus mujeres que estén en el campo las matará a filo de espada, y a ti te atacará con torres de asalto; levantará rampas contra ti, y te atacará protegido por sus escudos. 9 Atacará tus muros con arietes, y destruirá tus torres con hachas. 10 Cuando seas conquistada, y tus puertas se vengan abajo, y sus caballos y carros de guerra irrumpan en tus calles, será tal el estruendo que tus murallas se estremecerán, y una nube de polvo te cubrirá. 11 Los cascos de sus caballos hollarán todas tus calles, a tu pueblo lo matarán a filo de espada, y tus sólidas columnas rodarán por el suelo. 12 Se robarán tus riquezas, saquearán tus mercaderías, derribarán tus murallas, y destruirán tus bellas mansiones. ¡Hasta tus piedras, tu madera y tu polvo lo echarán a las aguas! 13 Yo pondré fin al bullicio de tus cantos, y no volverá a escucharse el sonido de tus cítaras.(B) 14 Te dejaré lisa como una peña; quedarás convertida en un tendedero de redes, y nunca más serás reconstruida, porque yo, el Señor, lo he dicho.»

15 Así ha dicho Dios el Señor a Tiro:
«Cuando caigas estruendosamente, y griten tus heridos y haya en tus calles una gran matanza, ¡hasta las costas se estremecerán! 16 Entonces todos los príncipes del mar descenderán de sus tronos, y se quitarán sus mantos; se despojarán de sus ropas bordadas y se cubrirán de espanto; sentados en el suelo, y al verte se espantarán y temblarán a cada instante. 17 Te cantarán endechas, y te dirán: “Tú, ciudad poblada por gente del mar, ciudad por todos alabada, y cuyos habitantes eran invencibles en el mar e infundían terror a todos los pueblos vecinos, ¿cómo pudiste perecer? 18 Ahora que has caído, las islas se estremecerán. ¡Sí, las islas se espantarán al enterarse de tu caída!”»(C)
19 Así ha dicho Dios el Señor:
«Yo te convertiré en una ciudad desierta, en una ciudad deshabitada. Haré que el mar suba hasta ti, y que sus muchas aguas te cubran. 20 Te hundiré hasta lo más profundo de la tierra, te sepultaré con los pueblos de tiempos pasados; quedarás como los desiertos antiguos, como los que descienden al sepulcro, y nunca más volverás a ser habitada ni tendrás esplendor en la tierra de los vivientes. 21 Te convertiré en motivo de espanto, y dejarás de existir. Cuando te busquen, no volverán a encontrarte.»(D)
