ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਖਾਸ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ
49 ਦੂਰ ਦੁਰਾਡੇ ਦੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਮੂਹ ਲੋਕੋ, ਸੁਣੋ ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ!
ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਲੋਕੋ, ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣੋ!
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਲਈ, ਮੇਰੇ ਜਨਮ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਸੀ।
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਹਾਲੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਦੇ ਗਰਭ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਾਂ।
2 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਹਿਣ ਲਈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵਰਤਦਾ।
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਤਿੱਖੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਵਾਂਗ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ
ਪਰ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਦੀ ਛਾਵੇਂ ਲੁਕਾ ਕੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਬਚਾਉ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਤਿੱਖੇ ਤੀਰ ਵਾਂਗ ਬਣਾਇਆ
ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਤਸ਼ਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੁਪਾ ਲਿਆ।
3 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਸਰਾਏਲ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਹੈ।
ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਕੁਝ ਮਹਾਨ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।”
4 ਮੈਂ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਫ਼ਜ਼ੂਲ ਹੀ ਸਖਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਬਕਾ ਲਿਆ ਪਰ ਕੋਈ ਲਾਹੇਵਂਦ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ,
ਪਰ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਵੱਸ਼ ਹੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੇਰੇ ਇਨਾਮ ਬਾਰੇ ਅਵੱਸ਼ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
5 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਗਰਭ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਾਜਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਉਸਦਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਾਂ,
ਅਤੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਾਪਸ ਓਸ ਵੱਲ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਾਂ।
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਣ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ,
6 “ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਸੇਵਕ ਹੈਂ।
ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਕੈਦੀ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਵਾਪਸ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਲਿਆਂਦੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਪਰਤ ਆਉਣਗੇ।
ਪਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਜ਼ਿਂਮੇ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਕੰਮ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਇਸ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਹੈ!
ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਮੂਹ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਲਈ ਨੂਰ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
ਤੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਮੇਰਾ ਮੋਖ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਹੋਵੇਂਗਾ।”
7 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੁਰੱਖ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਰਾਖਾ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ,
“ਮੇਰਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਨਿਮਾਣਾ ਹੈ।
ਉਹ ਹਾਕਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਰ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਨੇ।
ਪਰ ਰਾਜੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਣਗੇ।
ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਲੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
ਮਹਾਨ ਨੇਤਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਝੁਕਣਗੇ।”
ਇਹ ਵਾਪਰੇਗਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੁਰੱਖ, ਇਹ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਓਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ
8 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ,
“ਇੱਥੇ ਖਾਸ ਸਮਾਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਦਰਸਾਵਾਂਗਾ।
ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾਵਾਂ ਸੁਣ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ।
ਉਹ ਖਾਸ ਦਿਹਾੜਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ।
ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣ ਹੋਵੋਂਗੇ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਹੁਣ ਦੇਸ਼ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ
ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਧਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਦੇ ਦਿਓਗੇ ਜੋ ਇਸਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਸਨ।
9 ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੈਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੋਂਗੇ,
‘ਆਪਣੀ ਕੈਦ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆ ਜਾਵੋ!’
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੋਂਗੇ ਜੋ ਅੰਧਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ,
‘ਅੰਧਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲ ਆਵੋ!’
ਯਾਤਰਾ ਸਮੇਂ ਲੋਕ ਭੋਜਨ ਕਰਨਗੇ।
ਸੱਖਣੀਆਂ ਪਹਾੜੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਭੋਜਨ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
10 ਲੋਕ ਭੁੱਖੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣਗੇ।
ਉਹ ਪਿਆਸੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣਗੇ।
ਧੁੱਪ ਅਤੇ ਹਵਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੁਚਾਵੇਗੀ।
ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਕੂਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਝਰਨਿਆਂ ਵੱਲ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
11 ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਰਾਹ ਬਣਾਵਾਂਗਾ।
ਪਰਬਤ ਪੱਧਰੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ
ਤੇ ਨੀਵੀਆਂ ਸੜਕਾਂ ਉੱਚੀਆਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ।
12 “ਦੇਖੋ! ਲੋਕ ਦੂਰ-ਦੁਰਾਡੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਨੇ।
ਲੋਕ ਉੱਤਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਛਮ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਨੇ।
ਲੋਕ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅਸਵਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਨੇ।”
13 ਹੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀਏ, ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋਵੋ!
ਪਰਬਤੋਂ, ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਹਰੇ ਮਾਰੋ!
ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਕੂਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਗਰੀਬ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਨੇਕੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
14 ਪਰ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਹੁਣ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੁੱਲ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।”
15 ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ,
“ਕੀ ਕੋਈ ਮਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਭੁੱਲ ਸੱਕਦੀ ਹੈ? ਨਹੀਂ!
ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾਵੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੂਹਾਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੁੱਲਾਂਗਾ।
16 ਦੇਖੋ, ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਨਾਮ ਆਪਣੀ ਹਬੇਲੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਮੈਂ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੋਚਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ!
17 ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਪਰਤ ਆਉਣਗੇ।
ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਹਰਾਇਆ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਕਲਿਆਂ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਣਗੇ।”
18 ਓਧਰ ਦੇਖੋ! ਆਪਣੇ ਚਾਰ-ਚੁਫ਼ੇਰੇ ਦੇਖੋ!
ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਬੱਚੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਨੇ ਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਨੇ।
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੌਂਹ ਖਾਕੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ:
ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਮੋਤੀਆਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਗਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋ।
ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਉਸ ਹਾਰ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਵਹੁਟੀ ਪਹਿਨਦੀ ਹੈ।
19 “ਹੁਣ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਤਬਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਹੋ।
ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਬੇਕਾਰ ਹੈ।
ਪਰ ਬੋੜੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ, ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਬੰਦੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ।
ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ, ਬਹੁਤ ਦੂਰ ਹੋਣਗੇ।
20 ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਆਚੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਕੱਾਰਣ ਦੁੱਖੀ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਬੱਚੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਣਗੇ,
‘ਇਹ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਛੋਟੀ ਹੈ!
ਸ਼ਾਨੂੰ ਰਹਿਣ ਲਈ ਵੱਡੀ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਦੇਵੋ।’
21 ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੋਂਗੇ,
‘ਕਿਸਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ?
ਇਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਚੰਗੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ!
ਮੈਂ ਉਦਾਸ ਤੇ ਇੱਕਲਾ ਸਾਂ।
ਮੈਂ ਹਾਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਸਾਂ।
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿਸਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਬੱਚੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ?
ਦੇਖੋ, ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕਲਾ ਰਹਿ ਗਿਆ ਸਾਂ।
ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਕਿੱਥੋਂ ਆ ਗਏ ਨੇ?’”
22 ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ,
“ਦੇਖੋ, ਮੈਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਲਈ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਹਿਲਾਵਾਂਗਾ।
ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਖਣ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਝੰਡਾ ਉੱਚਾ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ
ਫੇਰ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਢਿਆਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਚੁੱਕਣਗੇ,
ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਬਾਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਦੇਣਗੇ।
23 ਰਾਜੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਹੋਣਗੇ।
ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਧੀਆਂ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੇਖ-ਭਾਲ ਕਰਨਗੀਆਂ।
ਉਹ ਰਾਜੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਧੀਆਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਝੁਕਣਗੀਆਂ।
ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਖਾਕ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੰਮਣਗੀਆਂ।
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣੋਗੇ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹਾਂ।
ਫੇਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣੋਗੇ ਕਿ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਨਿਰਾਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।”
24 ਜਦੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਤਕੜਾ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਜੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੌਲਤ ਜਿਤ੍ਤਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਦੌਲਤ ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋ ਨਹੀਂ ਖੋਹ ਸੱਕਦੇ।
ਜਦੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਤਕੜਾ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਕੈਦੀ ਦੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਕਰਦਾ,
ਉਹ ਕੈਦੀ ਬਚਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਨਿਕਲ ਸੱਕਦਾ।
25 ਪਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ,
“ਕੈਦੀ ਫ਼ਰਾਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
ਕੋਈ ਜਾਣਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੈਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਕੜੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਖੋਹ ਲਵੇਗਾ।
ਇਹ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਵਾਪਰੇਗਾ? ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਲੜਾਈਆਂ ਲੜਾਂਗਾ।
ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਵਾਂਗਾ।
26 ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।
ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਜਿਸਮ ਖਾਣ ਤੇ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੀ ਖੂਨ ਮੈਅ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਜਿਹੜੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਮਸਤ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਹਰ ਬੰਦਾ ਜਾਣ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਇਆ।
ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਬੰਦੇ ਜਾਣ ਲੈਣਗੇ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਪੁਰੱਖ ਨੇ ਬਚਾਇਆ।”

Herrens tjänare ett ljus för världen
49 Hör på mig, ni avlägsna länder!
Lyssna, ni folk i fjärran!
Herren kallade mig innan jag var född.
Redan när jag var i moderlivet
nämnde han mig vid mitt namn.
2 Han har gjort mitt tal skarpt som svärd.
Han har gömt mig i skuggan av sin hand.
Han har gjort mig till en slipad pil
och dolt mig i sitt koger.
3 Han sa till mig:
’Du är min tjänare, Israel,
genom dig ska jag visa min härlighet.’
4 Jag sa:
’Förgäves har jag tröttat ut mig,
förgäves och fåfängt förbrukat min kraft.
Ändå är min rätt hos Herren
och min lön hos min Gud.’
5 Och nu har Herren talat,
han som gjorde mig till sin tjänare
redan innan jag var född,
för att föra Jakob tillbaka,
och samla Israel hos sig.
Så skulle jag bli ärad inför Herren
och min Gud vara min styrka.
6 Han säger:
’Det är för lite för dig att bara vara min tjänare
som återupprättar Jakobs stammar
och för tillbaka dem som jag bevarat av Israels folk.
Jag ska göra dig till ett ljus för alla folk,
för att du ska vara till räddning för hela jorden.’ ”
7 Så säger Herren, Israels befriare och Helige,
till den som är föraktad och avskydd av folken,
till kungens tjänare:
”Kungar ska se det och resa sig,
furstar se det och buga sig,
för Herren är trofast,
Israels Helige, som har utvalt dig.”
Herren ska trösta sitt folk
8 Så säger Herren:
”Jag bönhör dig i nådens tid
och hjälper dig på räddningens dag.
Jag ska bevara dig
och genom dig ingå ett förbund med folket,
för att återupprätta landet
och återlämna de förödda arvslotterna.
9 Till de fångna ska jag säga: ’Gå ut!’
och till dem som sitter i mörkret: ’Kom fram!’
De ska finna bete längs vägarna
och betesmark på alla kala höjder.
10 De ska inte hungra eller törsta.
Ökenhettan och solen ska inte bränna dem.
Han som förbarmar sig över dem
ska leda dem och föra dem till vattenkällor.
11 Jag förvandlar alla mina berg till väg,
högt däruppe bygger jag vägar.
12 Se, de kommer långt bortifrån,
från norr och väster och Assuans land.”
13 Ropa av glädje, ni himlar,
och gläd dig, du jord!
Stäm upp en sång, ni berg!
För Herren tröstar sitt folk
och förbarmar sig över sina lidande.
14 Sion säger:
”Herren har övergett mig,
han har glömt bort mig.”
15 ”Kan en mor glömma bort sitt lilla barn,
så att hon inte förbarmar sig över det barn hon själv fött?
Även om hon skulle glömma,
ska jag i alla fall inte glömma dig.
16 Jag har skrivit ditt namn i min hand,
och dina murar är alltid inför mig.
17 Dina söner skyndar sig tillbaka,
och de som förstörde och ödelade
drar sig bort från dig.
18 Lyft blicken och se dig omkring!
Alla samlas och kommer till dig.
Så sant jag lever, säger Herren,
du ska bära dem som prydnader,
binda dem om dig likt brudsmycken.
19 Du har legat i ruiner, ödelagd,
och landet har varit förhärjat.
Men nu ska du bli för trång för folket,
och de som skövlade dig ska vara långt borta.
20 Du ska höra barnen
som föddes under din barnlöshets tid säga:
’Här är det för trångt för mig,
ge mig mer plats!’
21 Då ska du tänka:
’Vem har fött dessa åt mig?
Jag var ju barnlös och ofruktsam,
i exil och förskjuten.
Vem har fostrat dessa?
Jag var lämnad ensam,
så varifrån kommer dessa?’ ”
22 Så säger Herren, Herren:
”Jag ska ge ett tecken åt folken,
resa mitt banér för dem,
och de ska bära dina söner i sina armar
och dina döttrar på sina axlar.
23 Kungar ska fostra dem som fäder
och drottningar amma dem.
De ska buga sig till jorden för dig
och slicka dammet av dina fötter.
Då ska du förstå att jag är Herren.
De som hoppas på mig
ska aldrig komma på skam.”
24 Kan man rycka bytet från den mäktige
eller rädda fångar undan den grymme[a]?
25 Så säger Herren:
”Fångarna ska förvisso tas från den mäktige
och bytet räddas undan den grymme.
Jag ska strida mot dem som strider mot dig,
och jag ska själv rädda dina barn.
26 Jag ska låta dina förtryckare äta sitt eget kött,
och de ska bli druckna av sitt eget blod, som av vin.
Hela mänskligheten ska då förstå
att jag, Herren, är din räddare och befriare, Jakobs Mäktige.”

2 And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me;
3 And said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified.
4 Then I said, I have laboured in vain, I have spent my strength for nought, and in vain: yet surely my judgment is with the Lord, and my work with my God.
5 And now, saith the Lord that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the Lord, and my God shall be my strength.
6 And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.
7 Thus saith the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the Lord that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee.

19 For thy waste and thy desolate places, and the land of thy destruction, shall even now be too narrow by reason of the inhabitants, and they that swallowed thee up shall be far away.

21 Then shalt thou say in thine heart, Who hath begotten me these, seeing I have lost my children, and am desolate, a captive, and removing to and fro? and who hath brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; these, where had they been?
22 Thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring thy sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders.
23 And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: they shall bow down to thee with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the Lord: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.
24 Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?
25 But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.

The Servant of the Lord
49 Listen(A) to me, you islands;(B)
hear this, you distant nations:
Before I was born(C) the Lord called(D) me;
from my mother’s womb he has spoken my name.(E)
2 He made my mouth(F) like a sharpened sword,(G)
in the shadow of his hand(H) he hid me;
he made me into a polished arrow(I)
and concealed me in his quiver.
3 He said to me, “You are my servant,(J)
Israel, in whom I will display my splendor.(K)”
4 But I said, “I have labored in vain;(L)
I have spent my strength for nothing at all.
Yet what is due me is in the Lord’s hand,(M)
and my reward(N) is with my God.”(O)
5 And now the Lord says—
he who formed me in the womb(P) to be his servant
to bring Jacob back to him
and gather Israel(Q) to himself,
for I am[a] honored(R) in the eyes of the Lord
and my God has been my strength(S)—
6 he says:
“It is too small a thing for you to be my servant(T)
to restore the tribes of Jacob
and bring back those of Israel I have kept.(U)
I will also make you a light(V) for the Gentiles,(W)
that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.”(X)
7 This is what the Lord says—
the Redeemer and Holy One of Israel(Y)—
to him who was despised(Z) and abhorred by the nation,
to the servant of rulers:
“Kings(AA) will see you and stand up,
princes will see and bow down,(AB)
because of the Lord, who is faithful,(AC)
the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen(AD) you.”
Restoration of Israel
8 This is what the Lord says:
“In the time of my favor(AE) I will answer you,
and in the day of salvation I will help you;(AF)
I will keep(AG) you and will make you
to be a covenant for the people,(AH)
to restore the land(AI)
and to reassign its desolate inheritances,(AJ)
9 to say to the captives,(AK) ‘Come out,’
and to those in darkness,(AL) ‘Be free!’
“They will feed beside the roads
and find pasture on every barren hill.(AM)
10 They will neither hunger nor thirst,(AN)
nor will the desert heat or the sun beat down on them.(AO)
He who has compassion(AP) on them will guide(AQ) them
and lead them beside springs(AR) of water.
11 I will turn all my mountains into roads,
and my highways(AS) will be raised up.(AT)
12 See, they will come from afar(AU)—
some from the north, some from the west,(AV)
some from the region of Aswan.[b]”
13 Shout for joy,(AW) you heavens;
rejoice, you earth;(AX)
burst into song, you mountains!(AY)
For the Lord comforts(AZ) his people
and will have compassion(BA) on his afflicted ones.(BB)
15 “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast
and have no compassion on the child(BE) she has borne?
Though she may forget,
I will not forget you!(BF)
16 See, I have engraved(BG) you on the palms of my hands;
your walls(BH) are ever before me.
17 Your children hasten back,
and those who laid you waste(BI) depart from you.
18 Lift up your eyes and look around;
all your children gather(BJ) and come to you.
As surely as I live,(BK)” declares the Lord,
“you will wear(BL) them all as ornaments;
you will put them on, like a bride.
19 “Though you were ruined and made desolate(BM)
and your land laid waste,(BN)
now you will be too small for your people,(BO)
and those who devoured(BP) you will be far away.
20 The children born during your bereavement
will yet say in your hearing,
‘This place is too small for us;
give us more space to live in.’(BQ)
21 Then you will say in your heart,
‘Who bore me these?(BR)
I was bereaved(BS) and barren;
I was exiled and rejected.(BT)
Who brought these(BU) up?
I was left(BV) all alone,(BW)
but these—where have they come from?’”
22 This is what the Sovereign Lord(BX) says:
“See, I will beckon to the nations,
I will lift up my banner(BY) to the peoples;
they will bring(BZ) your sons in their arms
and carry your daughters on their hips.(CA)
23 Kings(CB) will be your foster fathers,
and their queens your nursing mothers.(CC)
They will bow down(CD) before you with their faces to the ground;
they will lick the dust(CE) at your feet.
Then you will know that I am the Lord;(CF)
those who hope(CG) in me will not be disappointed.(CH)”
25 But this is what the Lord says:
“Yes, captives(CJ) will be taken from warriors,(CK)
and plunder retrieved from the fierce;(CL)
I will contend with those who contend with you,(CM)
and your children I will save.(CN)
26 I will make your oppressors(CO) eat(CP) their own flesh;
they will be drunk on their own blood,(CQ) as with wine.
Then all mankind will know(CR)
that I, the Lord, am your Savior,(CS)
your Redeemer,(CT) the Mighty One of Jacob.(CU)”
