ਮੂਸਾ ਦਾ ਦੇਹਾਂਤ
34 ਮੂਸਾ ਨਬੋ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਪਰ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਗਿਆ। ਮੂਸਾ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੀ ਯਰਦਨ ਨਦੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪਿਸਗਾਹ ਪਰਬਤ ਦੀ ਚੋਟੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹ ਥਾਂ ਯਰੀਹੋ ਤੋਂ ਯਰਦਨ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਪਾਰ ਸੀ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਤੋਂ ਦਾਨ ਤੱਕ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਿਖਾਈ। 2 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਫ਼ਤਾਲੀ, ਅਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਿਖਾਈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਮੱਧ ਸਾਗਰ ਤੱਕ ਦੀ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੀ ਸਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਿਖਾਈ। 3 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਨੇਗੇਵ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਵਾਦੀ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਸੋਆਰ ਤੋਂ ਯਰੀਹੋ ਨੂੰ, ਪਾਮ ਦੇ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵੱਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। 4 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਹੀ ਉਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ, ਇਸਹਾਕ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨਾਲ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, ‘ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਿਖਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਉੱਥੇ ਜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੱਕਦਾ।’”
5 ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੂਸਾ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਸੇਵਕ, ਉੱਥੇ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਵਾਪਰੇਗੀ। 6 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਆਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਫ਼ਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਹ ਥਾਂ ਬੈਤ-ਪਓਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਦੀ ਵਾਦੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਅੱਜ ਤੱਕ ਵੀ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਕਿ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੀ ਕਬਰ ਠੀਕ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਥਾਵੇਂ ਹੈ। 7 ਮੂਸਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਮਰਿਆ, ਉਹ 120 ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆ ਦਾ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੀ ਤਕੜਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਚੰਗੀ ਸੀ। 8 ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ 30 ਦਿਨ ਤੱਕ ਮੂਸਾ ਦਾ ਸੋਗ ਮਨਾਇਆ। ਉਹ ਸੋਗ ਦਾ ਸਮਾ ਖਤਮ ਹੋਣ ਤੱਕ ਮੋਆਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਰਦਨ ਵਾਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਰਹੇ।
ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨਵਾਂ ਆਗੂ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ
9 ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨੂਨ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹੀ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।
10 ਇਸਰਾਏਲ, ਦੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ, ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਮੂਸਾ ਵਰਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ: ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਨਮੁਖੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਸੀ। 11 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਚਮਤਕਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਸੀ। ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਚਮਤਕਾਰ ਦੇਖੇ। 12 ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਹੋਰ ਨਬੀ ਨੇ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਮਹਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਹੈਰਾਨਕੁਨ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ। ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੇਖੀਆਂ ਜੋ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ।

The Death of Moses
34 Then Moses went up from the plains of Moab (A)to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, which is opposite Jericho. And the Lord showed him all the land, Gilead as far as Dan, 2 all Naphtali, the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, all the land of Judah (B)as far as the western sea, 3 (C)the Negeb, and (D)the Plain, that is, the Valley of Jericho (E)the city of palm trees, as far as (F)Zoar. 4 And the Lord said to him, (G)“This is the land of which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, ‘I will give it to your offspring.’ (H)I have let you see it with your eyes, but (I)you shall not go over there.” 5 So Moses the servant of the Lord died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the Lord, 6 and he buried him in the valley in the land of Moab opposite Beth-peor; but (J)no one knows the place of his burial to this day. 7 (K)Moses was 120 years old when he died. (L)His eye was undimmed, and his vigor unabated. 8 And the people of Israel (M)wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days. Then the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended.
9 And Joshua the son of Nun was full of (N)the spirit of wisdom, for (O)Moses had laid his hands on him. So (P)the people of Israel obeyed him and did as the Lord had commanded Moses. 10 And there has not (Q)arisen a prophet since in Israel like Moses, (R)whom the Lord knew face to face, 11 none like him for all (S)the signs and the wonders that the Lord sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh and to all his servants and to all his land, 12 and for all the mighty power and all the great deeds of terror that Moses did in the sight of all Israel.

Moses Dies
34 Then Moses climbed Mount Nebo from the plains of Moab to the top of Mount Pisgah, across from Jericho. From there the Lord showed him all the land from Gilead to Dan, 2 all of Naphtali and the lands of Ephraim and Manasseh, all the land of Judah as far as the ·Mediterranean [L Western] Sea, 3 as well as the ·southern desert [L the Negev] and the whole Valley of Jericho up to Zoar. (Jericho is called the city of palm trees.) 4 Then the Lord said to Moses, “This is the land I ·promised [swore] to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob when I said to them, ‘I will give this land to your ·descendants [L seed; Gen. 12:1–13; 15:17–20].’ ·I have let you look at [L Your eyes have seen] it, Moses, but you will not cross over there.”
5 Then Moses, the servant of the Lord, died there in Moab, as the Lord had said [Num. 20:12]. 6 He buried Moses in Moab in the valley opposite Beth Peor, but even today no one knows where his grave is. 7 Moses was one hundred twenty years old when he died. His eyes were not weak, and ·he was still strong [L his vigor had not left him]. 8 The ·Israelites [L sons/T children of Israel] cried for Moses for thirty days, staying in the plains of Moab until the time of ·sadness [mourning] was over.
9 Joshua son of Nun was then filled with the spirit of wisdom, because Moses had ·put [laid] his hands on him. So the ·Israelites [L sons/T children of Israel] listened to Joshua, and they did what the Lord had commanded Moses.
10 There has never been another prophet in Israel like Moses [Acts 3:22–23; Heb. 3:1–19]. The Lord knew Moses face to face [Num. 12:6–8] 11 and sent him to do signs and ·miracles [wonders] in Egypt—to ·the king [L Pharaoh], to all his ·officers [L servants], and to the whole land of Egypt. 12 Moses had ·great power [L a strong hand], and he did great and wonderful things for all the Israelites to see.

3 And the south, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, unto Zoar.
4 And the Lord said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither.
5 So Moses the servant of the Lord died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the Lord.
6 And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day.
7 And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.
8 And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended.
9 And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the Lord commanded Moses.
10 And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face,
11 In all the signs and the wonders, which the Lord sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land,
12 And in all that mighty hand, and in all the great terror which Moses shewed in the sight of all Israel.
