37 “ਗਰਜ ਤੇ ਚਮਕ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਨੇ।
ਮੇਰਾ ਦਿਲ ਤੇਜੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੀ ਛਾਤੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਧੜਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
2 ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਸੁਣੋ।
ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਗਰਜ ਵਰਗੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਗਰਜਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣੋ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮੁਖ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਕਲ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
3 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਪਣੀ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਚਮਕਣ ਲਈ ਭੇਜਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਚਮਕਦੀ ਹੈ।
4 ਬਿਜਲੀ ਦੀ ਚਮਕ ਤੋਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਗਰਜਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣੀ ਜਾ ਸੱਕਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਦਭੁਤ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਗਰਜਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਦੋਂ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਲਿਸ਼ਕਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਗਰਜਦੀ ਹੈ।
5 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਗਰਜਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਅਦਭੁਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ!
ਉਹ ਮਹਾਨ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝ ਸੱਕਦੇ।
6 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਬਰਫ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ,
‘ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਡਿੱਗ’
ਤੇ ਉਹ ਮੀਂਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ,
‘ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਰ੍ਹ।’
7 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ
ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸਾਜਿਆ,
ਜਾਣ ਲੈਣ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕੀ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਹੀ ਉਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣ ਹੈ।
8 ਜਾਨਵਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਭੋਰਿਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਵੜ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਨੇ ਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਨੇ।
9 ਦੱਖਣ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵਾਵਰੋਲੇ ਉੱਠਦੇ ਨੇ।
ਉੱਤਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਠੰਡੀਆਂ ਹਵਾਵਾਂ ਆਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ।
10 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਸਾਹ ਬਰਫ਼ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਤੇ ਸਾਗਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਮਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
11 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਬੱਦਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ
ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੂਫਾਨੀ ਬੱਦਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਿੰਡਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
12 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਬੱਦਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਗਣ ਲਈ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਬੱਦਲ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਹੁਂਕਮ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
13 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੰਡ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਜਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਣ ਲਈ,
ਪਾਣੀ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ, ਬੱਦਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
14 “ਅੱਯੂਬ, ਇੱਕ ਮਿਨਟ ਲਈ ਠਹਿਰ ਤੇ ਸੁਣ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਦਭੁਤ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੋਚ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
15 ਅੱਯੂਬ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਬੱਦਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ?
ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਪਣੀ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਲਿਸ਼ਕਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ?
16 ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਬੱਦਲ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਲਟਕਦੇ ਨੇ?
ਬੱਦਲ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਦਭੁੱਤ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਰਫ ਇੱਕ ਮਿਸਾਲ ਨੇ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸਾਜਿਆ।
ਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ।
17 ਪਰ ਅੱਯੂਬ, ਤੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ।
ਤੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਇਹੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪਸੀਨਾ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਨਾਲ ਚਿਪਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਨੇ ਤੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਰੁਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ
ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਦੱਖਣ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਗਰਮੀ ਦੀ ਲਹਿਰ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
18 ਅੱਯੂਬ, ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੈਲਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ,
ਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਲਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ ਤਾਂਬੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਚਮਕਦਾਰ ਬਣਾ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ?
19 “ਅੱਯੂਬ, ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਆਖੀਏ?
ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਗਿਆਨਤਾ ਕਾਰਣ, ਸੋਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਆਖੀਏ।
20 ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਦੱਸਾਂਗਾ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੋਣੀ ਸੀ।
21 ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਸੂਰਜ ਵੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਤੱਕ ਸੱਕਦਾ।
ਇਹ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਤੇਜ਼ ਤੇ ਚਮਕੀਲਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਹਵਾ ਬੱਦਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਡਾ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
22 ਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵੀ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੈ।
ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਸੁਨਿਹਰੀ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਤੋਂ ਚਮਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਚਮਕਦਾਰ ਰੋਸ਼ਨੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
23 ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੈ।
ਅਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝ ਸੱਕਦੇ।
ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਹੈ,
ਪਰ ਉਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਚੰਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਆਂਈ ਵੀ ਹੈ।
ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ।
24 ਇਹੀ ਕਾਰਣ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਲੋਕ ਉਸਦਾ ਆਦਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਨੇ।
ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਗੁਮਾਨੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਦਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਨੇ।”

37 “At this my heart pounds(A)
and leaps from its place.
2 Listen!(B) Listen to the roar of his voice,(C)
to the rumbling that comes from his mouth.(D)
3 He unleashes his lightning(E) beneath the whole heaven
and sends it to the ends of the earth.(F)
4 After that comes the sound of his roar;
he thunders(G) with his majestic voice.(H)
When his voice resounds,
he holds nothing back.
5 God’s voice thunders(I) in marvelous ways;(J)
he does great things beyond our understanding.(K)
6 He says to the snow,(L) ‘Fall on the earth,’
and to the rain shower, ‘Be a mighty downpour.’(M)
7 So that everyone he has made may know his work,(N)
he stops all people from their labor.[a](O)
8 The animals take cover;(P)
they remain in their dens.(Q)
9 The tempest comes out from its chamber,(R)
the cold from the driving winds.(S)
10 The breath of God produces ice,
and the broad waters become frozen.(T)
11 He loads the clouds with moisture;(U)
he scatters his lightning(V) through them.(W)
12 At his direction they swirl around
over the face of the whole earth
to do whatever he commands them.(X)
13 He brings the clouds to punish people,(Y)
or to water his earth and show his love.(Z)
14 “Listen(AA) to this, Job;
stop and consider God’s wonders.(AB)
15 Do you know how God controls the clouds
and makes his lightning(AC) flash?(AD)
16 Do you know how the clouds hang poised,(AE)
those wonders of him who has perfect knowledge?(AF)
17 You who swelter in your clothes
when the land lies hushed under the south wind,(AG)
18 can you join him in spreading out the skies,(AH)
hard as a mirror of cast bronze?(AI)
19 “Tell us what we should say to him;(AJ)
we cannot draw up our case(AK) because of our darkness.(AL)
20 Should he be told that I want to speak?
Would anyone ask to be swallowed up?
21 Now no one can look at the sun,(AM)
bright as it is in the skies
after the wind has swept them clean.
22 Out of the north he comes in golden splendor;(AN)
God comes in awesome majesty.(AO)
23 The Almighty is beyond our reach and exalted in power;(AP)
in his justice(AQ) and great righteousness, he does not oppress.(AR)
24 Therefore, people revere him,(AS)
for does he not have regard for all the wise(AT) in heart?[b]”
