वर मंदिरात जाण्याच्या वेळचे दावीदाचे स्तोत्र.
124 परमेश्वर जर आपल्या बाजूला नसता तर आपले काय झाले असते?
इस्राएल, मला उत्तर दे.
2 लोकांनी आपल्यावर हल्ला केला
तेव्हा जर परमेश्वर आपल्या बाजूला नसता तर आपले काय झाले असते?
3 आपले शत्रू आपल्यावर जेव्हा रागावले असते
तेव्हा त्यांनी आपल्याला जिवंत गिळले असते.
4 आपल्या शत्रूंचे सैन्य महापुरासारखे आपल्या अंगावरुन गेले असते.
नदी प्रमाणे त्यांनी आपल्याला बुडवले असते.
5 गर्विष्ठ लोकांनी वर वर चढणाऱ्या पाण्याप्रमाणे
आपल्या तोंडापर्यंत येऊन आपल्याला बुडवले असते.
6 परमेश्वराची स्तुती करा. परमेश्वराने आपल्या शत्रूंना
आपल्याला पकडू दिले नाही आणि ठार मारु दिले नाही.
7 जाळ्यात सापडलेल्या आणि
नंतर त्यातून सुटलेल्या पक्ष्याप्रमाणे आपण आहोत.
जाळे तुटले आणि आपण त्यातून सुटलो.
8 परमेश्वराकडून आपली मदत आली.
परमेश्वराने पृथ्वी आणि स्वर्ग निर्माण केला.

1 If the Lord had not been on our side—
let Israel say(A)—
2 if the Lord had not been on our side
when people attacked us,
3 they would have swallowed us alive
when their anger flared against us;
4 the flood(B) would have engulfed us,
the torrent(C) would have swept over us,
5 the raging waters
would have swept us away.
