سبھی قومیں خداوند کی پیروی کریں گی
56 خداوند نے یہ باتیں کہیں، “سچا ئی کو قائم رکھو اور جو صحیح ہے اسے کرو۔کیونکہ میری نجات نزدیک ہے اور میری صداقت ظا ہر ہو نے وا لی ہے۔” 2 خوش نصیب ہے وہ آدمی جو ایسا کر تا ہے اور وہ انسان جو ایسا کرنا جا ری رکھتا ہے۔ جو سبت کو مانتا ہے اور اس کی بے حرمتی نہیں کر تا ہے، جو اپنے آپ کو برا ئی کر نے سے دور رکھتا ہے۔
3 ایک غیر ملکی جو اپنے آ پ کو خداوند کے لئے نچھا ور کرتا ہے اسے نہیں کہنا چا ہئے، “خداوند مجھے اپنے لوگوں کے درمیان میں سے ایک کے طور پر قبو ل نہیں کرے گا۔” ایک ہجڑے کو یہ نہیں کہنا چا ہئے کہ میں ایک سو کھے درخت کی مانند ہوں کیوں کہ میں بچے کا باپ نہیں بن سکتا ہوں۔
4 ان ہجڑوں کو ایسی باتیں نہیں کہنی چا ہئے کیوں کہ خداوند فرماتا ہے، “ان میں سے کچھ ہجڑے سبت کے اصولوں پر عمل کر تے ہیں اور جو میں چا ہتا ہوں وہ ویسا ہی کر تے ہیں۔ وہ میرے معاہدہ کا پالن کر تے ہیں۔
5 اس لئے میں اپنے گھر میں ان کے لئے یادگار کا ایک پتھر لگا ؤں گا۔میرے شہر میں ان لوگوں کو یاد کیا جا ئے گا۔ہا ں! میں انہیں بیٹے اور بیٹیوں سے بھی کچھ اچھی چیزیں ان پر ظا ہر کرو ں گا۔میں ان لوگو ں کو ایک ابدی نام سے پکارو ں گاجسے کہ کبھی بھی بھلا یا نہیں جا ئے گا۔” 6 “غیر ملکی لوگ اپنے آپکو مجھ ، خداوند سے جو ڑیں گے۔ وہ لوگ ایسا میری خدمت کر نے کیلئے ،میرے نام سے محبت کر نے کیلئے اور میرا خادم بننے کے لئے کریں گے۔ وہ لوگ سبت سے قانون کا پالن کریں گے اور اس دن کام کر کے اس کی بے حرمتی نہیں کریں گے۔ اور وہ لوگ میرے معاہد ہ پر قائم رہیں گے۔ 7 خداوند فرماتا ہے ، “میں ان لوگوں کو اپنے کو ہ مقدس پر لا ؤں گا۔اپنی عباد ت گاہ میں ان کو شادماں کروں گا اور ان کی جلانے کی قربانیاں اور ان کے نذرانوں کو میں اپنی قربانگا ہ پر قبول کروں گا۔کیوں کہ میرا گھر سب قوموں کی عبادت گا ہ کہلا ئے گا۔” 8 خداوند میرا آقا جس نے تمام اسرائیلیو ں کو جو کہ بکھڑے ہو ئے تھے ایک ساتھ جمع کیا فرماتا ہے،
“ان لوگوں کے ساتھ جسے کہ میں جمع کر چکا ہوں میں دوسرو ں کو ان کے ساتھ شامل ہو نے کے لئے جمع کروں گا۔ ”

9 اے جنگل کے جنگلی حیوانو! تم سب کے سب کھانے کو آؤ !
10 اس کے نگہبان اندھے ہیں۔
وہ خطرے سے با خبر نہیں ہیں۔
وہ گونگے کتے کے جیسے ہیں
جو کہ بھونک نہیں سکتے۔
وہ لیٹیں گے اور خواب دیکھیں گے
اور وہ سونا پسند کریں گے۔
11 وہ لوگ ایسے ہیں جیسے بھو کے کتے ہوں
جو کبھی سیر نہیں ہو تے۔
وہ ایسے چروا ہے ہیں جن کو خبر تک نہیں کہ وہ کیا کر رہے ہیں؟
وہ سب اپنی اپنی راہ سے پھر گئے۔
وہ سب کے سب لالچی ہیں
وہ تو صرف اپنے ہی حاصل کر نے میں دلچسپی رکھتے ہیں۔
12 ان میں سے ہر ایک کہتا ہے،
“تم آؤ ، میں شراب لا ؤں گا
اور ہم خوب نشہ میں چور ہوں گے!
اور کل بھی آج ہی کی طرح ہو گا
شاید کہ اس سے بھی بہتر ہو گا۔”

Salvation for Others
56 This is what the Lord says:
“Maintain justice(A)
and do what is right,(B)
for my salvation(C) is close at hand
and my righteousness(D) will soon be revealed.
2 Blessed(E) is the one who does this—
the person who holds it fast,
who keeps the Sabbath(F) without desecrating it,
and keeps their hands from doing any evil.”
3 Let no foreigner(G) who is bound to the Lord say,
“The Lord will surely exclude me from his people.”(H)
And let no eunuch(I) complain,
“I am only a dry tree.”
4 For this is what the Lord says:
“To the eunuchs(J) who keep my Sabbaths,
who choose what pleases me
and hold fast to my covenant(K)—
5 to them I will give within my temple and its walls(L)
a memorial(M) and a name
better than sons and daughters;
I will give them an everlasting name(N)
that will endure forever.(O)
6 And foreigners(P) who bind themselves to the Lord
to minister(Q) to him,
to love the name(R) of the Lord,
and to be his servants,
all who keep the Sabbath(S) without desecrating it
and who hold fast to my covenant—
7 these I will bring to my holy mountain(T)
and give them joy in my house of prayer.
Their burnt offerings and sacrifices(U)
will be accepted on my altar;
for my house will be called
a house of prayer for all nations.(V)”(W)
8 The Sovereign Lord declares—
he who gathers the exiles of Israel:
“I will gather(X) still others to them
besides those already gathered.”

9 Come, all you beasts of the field,(Y)
come and devour, all you beasts of the forest!
10 Israel’s watchmen(Z) are blind,
they all lack knowledge;(AA)
they are all mute dogs,
they cannot bark;
they lie around and dream,
they love to sleep.(AB)
11 They are dogs with mighty appetites;
they never have enough.
They are shepherds(AC) who lack understanding;(AD)
they all turn to their own way,(AE)
they seek their own gain.(AF)
12 “Come,” each one cries, “let me get wine!(AG)
Let us drink our fill of beer!
And tomorrow will be like today,
or even far better.”(AH)

56 Thus saith the Lord, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.
3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the Lord, speak, saying, The Lord hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
4 For thus saith the Lord unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;
5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the Lord, to serve him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
8 The Lord God, which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.
9 All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest.
10 His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.
11 Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.
12 Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.
