جھو ٹے خدا وند بیکار ہیں
46 بل اور نبو [a] جھکتا ہے۔ ان کے بت جانوروں پر لدے ہوئے ہیں۔
جو چیزیں تم جلوس میں اٹھا ئے پھر تے تھے آج تھکے ہوئے چو پا یوں پر بھا ری بوجھ کے طور پر لدی ہیں۔ 2 ان سبھی جھو ٹے خدا ؤں کو جھکا دیا جائے گا۔ یہ بچ کر کہیں بھاگ نہیں سکیں گے۔ ان سبھی کو قیدیوں کی طرح لے جا یا جائیگا۔
3 “اے یعقوب کے گھرانے میری سن اے بنی اسرائیلیو جو ابھی زندہ ہو ، سنو! میں تمہیں اٹھا ئے ہوئے ہوں۔ میں اس وقت سے اٹھا ئے ہوئے ہوں جب تم اپنی ماں کے رحم میں ہی تھے۔ 4 میں تمہیں تب سے اٹھا ئے ہوئے ہوں جب سے تمہارا جنم ہوا ہے اور میں تمہاری تب بھی مدد کیا کروں گا جب تم بوڑھے ہو جاؤ گے ، تمہارے بال سفید ہو جائیں گے۔ کیوں کہ میں نے تمہاری تخلیق کی ہے۔ میں ہی تمہیں لے چلوں گا اور رہائی دوں گا۔
5 “کیا تم کسی سے بھی میرا موازنہ کر سکتے ہو ؟ نہیں ! کوئی بھی شخص میرے جیسا نہیں ہے۔ میرے برابری کا کچھ بھی نہیں ہے۔ 6 کچھ لوگ سونے اور چاندی رکھنے کی وجہ سے دولتمند ہیں۔ وہ سنار کو بھا ڑے پر بلا تے ہیں اور سونا یا چاندی سے ایک خدا وند بنواتے ہیں۔ پھر وہ لوگ اسے جھو ٹے خدا وند کے آگے سجدہ کرتے ہیں اور اسکی پرستش کر تے ہیں۔ 7 وہ لوگ جھو ٹے خدا ؤں کو اپنے کندھوں پر رکھ کر لے چلتے ہیں۔ لوگ اس جھو ٹے خدا وند کو اسکی جگہ پر نصب کر تے ہیں۔ وہ اپنی جگہ سے ہل نہیں سکتا ہے۔ اور کوئی شخص اسکے سامنے چلا ئے تو وہ جواب نہیں دے سکتا ہے۔ وہ کسی کو بھی مصیبت سے نہیں چھڑا سکتا۔
8 “تم لوگوں نے گناہ کیا ہے۔ تمہیں ان باتوں کو پھر سے یاد کرنا چاہئے۔ ان باتوں کو یاد کرو تاکہ تم بہادر بن سکتے ہو۔ 9 ان باتوں کو یاد کرو جو بہت پہلے ہوئی تھیں۔ یاد رکھو کہ میں خدا ہوں ! کوئی اور دوسرا خدا نہیں ہے۔ میں خدا ہوں اور میرے جیسا کوئی دوسرا نہیں ہے۔
10 “ آغاز میں میں نے تمہیں ان باتوں کے بارے میں بتا دیا تھا جو آخر میں ہوں گی۔ بہت پہلے سے ہی میں نے تمہیں وہ باتیں بتا دی ہیں جو ابھی ہوئی نہیں ہیں۔ جب میں کسی بات کا کوئی منصوبہ بنا تا ہوں ، تو وہ یقیناً ہوتی ہے۔ میں وہ سب کچھ کروں گا جس کو کرنے کا میں نے فیصلہ کیا ہے۔ 11 دیکھو! مشرق کی جانب سے میں ایک شخص کو بلا رہا ہوں۔ وہ شخص ایک عقاب کی مانند ہو گا۔ وہ ایک دور کے ملک سے آئے گا اور وہ ان کاموں کو کرے گا جنہیں کرنے کا منصوبہ میں نے بنا یا ہے۔ میں تمہیں کہہ چکا ہوں اور میں اسے کروں گا۔ میں نے اس کا منصوبہ بنا لیا ہے اور میں اسے پورا کروں گا۔
12 “تم ضدّی لوگو ! تم جو نجات سے دور ہو میری بات سنو ! 13 میں اپنی نجات کو نزدیک لاتا ہوں۔ میں جلد ہی اپنے لوگوں کو بچاؤں گا۔ میں صیون کو نجات اور اسرائیل کو اپنا جلال بخشوں گا۔”

46 Bel(A) bows down, Nebo stoops low;
their idols(B) are borne by beasts of burden.[a]
The images that are carried(C) about are burdensome,
a burden for the weary.
2 They stoop and bow down together;
unable to rescue the burden,
they themselves go off into captivity.(D)
3 “Listen(E) to me, you descendants of Jacob,
all the remnant(F) of the people of Israel,
you whom I have upheld since your birth,(G)
and have carried(H) since you were born.(I)
4 Even to your old age and gray hairs(J)
I am he,(K) I am he who will sustain you.
I have made you and I will carry you;
I will sustain(L) you and I will rescue you.
5 “With whom will you compare me or count me equal?
To whom will you liken me that we may be compared?(M)
6 Some pour out gold from their bags
and weigh out silver on the scales;
they hire a goldsmith(N) to make it into a god,
and they bow down and worship it.(O)
7 They lift it to their shoulders and carry(P) it;
they set it up in its place, and there it stands.
From that spot it cannot move.(Q)
Even though someone cries out to it, it cannot answer;(R)
it cannot save(S) them from their troubles.
8 “Remember(T) this, keep it in mind,
take it to heart, you rebels.(U)
9 Remember the former things,(V) those of long ago;(W)
I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like me.(X)
10 I make known the end from the beginning,(Y)
from ancient times,(Z) what is still to come.(AA)
I say, ‘My purpose will stand,(AB)
and I will do all that I please.’
11 From the east I summon(AC) a bird of prey;(AD)
from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose.
What I have said, that I will bring about;
what I have planned,(AE) that I will do.(AF)
12 Listen(AG) to me, you stubborn-hearted,(AH)
you who are now far from my righteousness.(AI)
13 I am bringing my righteousness(AJ) near,
it is not far away;
and my salvation(AK) will not be delayed.
I will grant salvation to Zion,(AL)
my splendor(AM) to Israel.

11 Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.
12 Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted, that are far from righteousness:
13 I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.
