1 یسوع مسیح کا رسول پو لُس کی جانب سے سلام۔میں اس لئے رسول ہوں کیوں کہ یہ خدا کی مرضی تھی۔بھا ئی تیمتھیس کی طرف سے بھی سلام۔
2 کُّلے کے رہنے وا لے مقدس اور ایماندار بھا ئیو ں اور بہنوں پر مسیح میں ہما رے باپ خدا کی طرف سے تمہیں فضل اور اطمینا ن حاصل ہوتا رہے۔
3 اپنی دعا ؤں میں ہم ہمیشہ تمہا رے لئے خدا کا شکر ادا کرتے ہیں۔ خدا جو ہما رے خداوند یسوع مسیح کا باپ ہے۔ 4 ہم خدا کے شکر گذار ہیں جو یسوع مسیح میں تمہارے ایمان کا باپ ہے۔ ہم نے یہ بھی سنا ہے کہ تم خدا کے لوگوں سے محبت رکھتے ہو۔ 5 تم کو یسوع پر ایمان ہے اور تمہیں خدا کے لوگوں سے محبت ہے کیونکہ تم کو امید ہے۔ آسمان میں جس کے متعلق تم خوش خبری یعنی سچا ئی کی تعلیم کے ذریعہ سن چکے ہو۔ 6 جو خوش خبری تجھے سنا ئی گئی ہے وہ پوری دنیا میں خیر و برکت لا تی ہے۔ چنانچہ جس دن سے تم نے اس کوسنا اور خدا کے فضل کو سچے طور پر پہچانا تم میں بھی ایسا ہی ہو رہا ہے۔ 7 تم نے خدا کے فضل کواِپا فراس کے ذریعہ سنا۔ اِپا فراس ہما رے ساتھ کام کرتا ہے۔ اور ہم اسی سے محبت کر تے ہیں۔ وہ ہما رے لئے مسیح کا ایمان دارخادم ہے۔ 8 اِپا فراس نے تمہا ری محبت جو مقدس روح سے ہے کہ اس کے تعلق سے بھی ہمیں کہا ہے۔
9 جس دن سے ہم نے ان چیزوں کو سنا ہے ہم تمہا رے لئے مسلسل دعا ئیں کر رہے ہیں۔ ہم یہ دعا کر تے ہیں:
تم کامل طور سے ان چیزوں کو سمجھ جا ؤ گے جو خدا چاہتا ہے۔ تمہا رے علم سے تم عقل اور سمجھنے کی صلاحیت روحانی چیزوں کے متعلق پا ؤگے۔ 10 تا کہ تمہا رے چا ل چلن خدا وند کے لا ئق ہو اور اس کو ہر طرح پسند آئے اور تم میں ہر طرح کے نیک کام کا پھل لگے اور خدا کی پہچان میں بڑھتے جاؤ۔ 11 خدا اپنی عظیم طا قت سے تم کو طاقتور بنا ئے گا۔ اور تم زیادہ صا بر ہوگے اور ہر قسم کی تکلیف سہنے کی صلا حیت ہوگی۔
تب تم خوش رہو گے۔ 12 اور خدا باپ کا شکر ادا کروگے کہ اس نے تمہیں اس قابل بنایا کہ جو چیزیں اس نے اپنے لوگوں کے لئے بنا ئیں جو نور کی سلطنت میں رہتے ہیں۔ 13 خدا نے ہمیں تاریکیوں کے قبضہ سے بچا یا ہے اور ہمیں اپنے چہیتے بیٹے کی بادشاہت میں لا یاہے۔ 14 بیٹے نے ہمیں آزاد رکھنے کی قیمت ادا کی ہے۔ اس میں ہما رے گناہوں کی معا فی ہے۔
مسیح کے ذریعہ خدا کو دیکھنا
15 کوئی بھی شخص خدا کو نہیں دیکھ سکتا
لیکن یسوع با لکل خدا کی مانند ہے
ہر چیز جو بنا ئی گئی ہے یسوع اس پر حاکم ہے۔
16 اس کی قوت کے ذریعے
جو آسمان کی ہو یا زمین کی ہو دیکھی ہو یا ان دیکھی
تمام روحانی قوتیں، اختیارات، خداوند اور حکومتیں،
تمام چیزیں مسیح کے ذریعہ سے اور مسیح کے واسطے ہی پیدا ہو ئی ہیں۔
17 ہر چیز کی تخلیق سے پہلے مسیح موجود تھا
اور تمام چیزیں اس کی وجہ سے قا ئم رہتی ہیں۔
18 مسیح جسم کا سر ہے ہر چیز اس سے ہی آتی ہے
اور وہ خداوند ہے جو موت سے اٹھایا گیا
اسی لئے ہر چیز میں مسیح بہت اہم ہے۔
19 خدا ان تمام لوگوں کی طرف سے جو مسیح میں رہتے ہیں خوش ہوا تھا۔
20 اور مسیح کے ذریعہ ان تمام چیزوں کو دوبارہ میل کر نے میں خدا خوش تھا۔
وہ چیزیں جو آسمان میں اور زمین پر ہیں خدا سلامتی دے گا
خدا صلیب پر مسیح کے خون کے ذریعہ سے سلامتی دی۔
21 مسیح کے پاس آنے سے پہلے تم خدا سے الگ ہوئے تھے۔کیوں کہ تم اپنے ذہنوں میں برے اعما ل کی وجہ سے خدا سے دشمنی رکھتے تھے۔ 22 لیکن مسیح نے تمہیں دوبارہ خدا کا دوست بنا دیا۔ مسیح جب جسما نی طور سے تھے تو اپنی موت سے خدا سے ملا یا وہ تمہیں خدا کے سامنے مقدس اور بے عیب اور بے الزام بنا کر حاضر کرتا ہے۔ 23 مسیح یہ سب کچھ کر تا ہے اگر تم خدا کے کلام کی خوش خبری پر ایما ن کا سلسلہ جاری رکھو تمہیں چا ہئے کہ تمہا رے ایمان میں مضبوطی سے بڑھنے کا سلسلہ قائم رہے۔ جو امید تمہیں خوش خبری سے ملی ہے اس سے ما یوس نہ ہو نا چاہئے۔ وہی خوش خبری دنیا بھر میں تمام لوگو ں کو دی جا چکی ہے۔ میں پولُس خوش خبری دینے کے لئے خادم ہوا ہوں۔
کلیسا کے لئے پو لُس کی خدمت
24 اب میں تمہا ری خاطر جو جسما نی تکا لیف اٹھا تا ہوں اس میں مجھے خوشی ہے۔ مسیح کے لئے اپنے جسم یعنی کلیسا کی خاطر کئی تکا لیف اٹھا نی با قی ہیں، میں ان تکا لیف کو اپنی جسما نی اذیتوں کے ذریعہ پو را کر تا ہوں۔ 25 میں کلیسا کا خادم بن گیا ہوں کیونکہ خدا نے تمہا رے فا ئدے کے لئے ایک خاص کام میرے سپرد کیاہے۔ میرا کام خدا کی تعلیم کو مکمل طور پر سنا نا ہے۔ 26 یہ تعلیم ایک سچا راز ہے۔ جو کئی نسلوں سے، بہت زما نے سے چھپا ہوا تھا۔ لیکن اب اس کے مقدس لوگوں کو معلوم ہوا ہے۔ 27 خدا نے فیصلہ کیا تھا کہ اپنے لوگوں کو معلوم کرا ئے کہ غیر قوموں میں اس سچے را ز کے جلال کی دولت کیسی ہے۔ وہ سچ خود مسیح ہے۔جو تم میں ہے۔اور جو امید ہے اس کے جلال کی۔اس میں ہم شریک ہو سکتے ہیں۔ 28 ہم اپنی پوری عقلمندی کے ساتھ مسیح کے بارے میں ہر ایک سے با ضابطہ اعلان کریں گے۔ ہم ہر ایک شخص کو نصیحت اور تعلیم دیتے ہیں اس طرح ہم ہر ایک کو خدا کے پاس لا کر مسیح میں کامل کر کے پیش کریں۔ 29 اس مقصد کے لئے میں اسکی اس قوت کے موافق جانفشا نی سے بہت محنت کر تا ہوں۔یہ توانائی مجھے مسیح نے دی ہے جو کہ میری زندگی میں کام کر رہی ہے۔

1 Paul, an apostle(A) of Christ Jesus by the will of God,(B) and Timothy(C) our brother,
2 To God’s holy people in Colossae, the faithful brothers and sisters[a] in Christ:
Grace(D) and peace to you from God our Father.[b](E)
Thanksgiving and Prayer
3 We always thank God,(F) the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, 4 because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love(G) you have for all God’s people(H)— 5 the faith and love that spring from the hope(I) stored up for you in heaven(J) and about which you have already heard in the true message(K) of the gospel 6 that has come to you. In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit(L) and growing throughout the whole world(M)—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace. 7 You learned it from Epaphras,(N) our dear fellow servant,[c] who is a faithful minister(O) of Christ on our[d] behalf, 8 and who also told us of your love in the Spirit.(P)
9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you,(Q) we have not stopped praying for you.(R) We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will(S) through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,[e](T) 10 so that you may live a life worthy(U) of the Lord and please him(V) in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,(W) 11 being strengthened with all power(X) according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience,(Y) 12 and giving joyful thanks to the Father,(Z) who has qualified you[f] to share in the inheritance(AA) of his holy people in the kingdom of light.(AB) 13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness(AC) and brought us into the kingdom(AD) of the Son he loves,(AE) 14 in whom we have redemption,(AF) the forgiveness of sins.(AG)
The Supremacy of the Son of God
15 The Son is the image(AH) of the invisible God,(AI) the firstborn(AJ) over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created:(AK) things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities;(AL) all things have been created through him and for him.(AM) 17 He is before all things,(AN) and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head(AO) of the body, the church;(AP) he is the beginning and the firstborn(AQ) from among the dead,(AR) so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased(AS) to have all his fullness(AT) dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile(AU) to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven,(AV) by making peace(AW) through his blood,(AX) shed on the cross.
21 Once you were alienated from God and were enemies(AY) in your minds(AZ) because of[g] your evil behavior. 22 But now he has reconciled(BA) you by Christ’s physical body(BB) through death to present you(BC) holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation(BD)— 23 if you continue(BE) in your faith, established(BF) and firm, and do not move from the hope(BG) held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven,(BH) and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.(BI)
Paul’s Labor for the Church
24 Now I rejoice(BJ) in what I am suffering for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions,(BK) for the sake of his body, which is the church.(BL) 25 I have become its servant(BM) by the commission God gave me(BN) to present to you the word of God(BO) in its fullness— 26 the mystery(BP) that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord’s people. 27 To them God has chosen to make known(BQ) among the Gentiles the glorious riches(BR) of this mystery, which is Christ in you,(BS) the hope of glory.
28 He is the one we proclaim, admonishing(BT) and teaching everyone with all wisdom,(BU) so that we may present everyone fully mature(BV) in Christ. 29 To this end I strenuously(BW) contend(BX) with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me.(BY)

2 To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
4 Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints,
5 For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;

23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:
25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
29 Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.
