کاہنوں کے گروہ
24 ہارون کے بیٹوں کے یہ گروہ تھے : ہارون کے بیٹے ناداب ، ابیہو ، الیعزر اور اتمر تھے۔ 2 لیکن ناداب اور ابیہو اپنے باپ کی موت سے پہلے ہی مر گئے اور ان لوگوں کے کوئی بیٹے نہیں تھے۔ اس لئے الیعزر اور اتمر کاہن کی حیثیت سے کام کئے۔ 3 داؤد نے الیعزر کی نسلوں میں سے صدوق اور اتمر کی نسلوں میں سے اخیملک کو خدمت کا کام سونپا۔ 4 اتمر کی نسلوں کی بہ نسبت الیعزر کی نسلوں سے بہت زیادہ قائدین تھے۔ جبکہ اتمر کی نسلوں سے صرف آٹھ ہی قائدین تھے۔ 5 ہر ایک خاندان سے آدمیوں کو وہ قرعہ ڈال کر چُنے گئے تھے۔ کیوں کہ وہاں الیعزر اور اتمر دونوں نسلوں سے مقدس جگہ اور خدا کے عہدیدار تھے۔
6 نتنی ایل کا بیٹا منشی سمعیاہ جو کہ لاویوں سے تھا ان کی نسلوں کے ناموں کو بادشاہ اور قائدین کے سامنے لکھے۔ وہ قائدین تھے : کا ہن صدوق ، ابی یاتر کا بیٹا اخیملک ، کاہنوں کے خاندانوں کے قائدین اور لاویوں کے قائدین۔ وہ لوگ ایک ایک کر کے خاندانوں کو چُننے اور ہمیشہ ایک الیعزر اور دوسرا اتمر کے خاندان سے چنتے۔
7 پہلا یہوی ریب کا گروہ تھا
دوسرا گروہ یدعیاہ کا تھا۔
8 تیسرا گروہ حاریم کا تھا۔
چوتھا گروہ شعوریم کا تھا۔
9 پانچواں گروہ ملکیاہ کا تھا۔
چھٹا گروہ میامین کا تھا۔
10 ساتواں گروہ ہقوض کا تھا۔
آٹھواں گروہ ابیاہ کا گروہ تھا۔
11 نواں گروہ یشوع کا تھا۔
دسواں گروہ سکانیاہ کا تھا۔
12 گیارہواں گروہ الیاسب کا تھا۔
بارہواں گروہ یقیم کا تھا
13 تیرھواں گروہ خفا کا تھا۔
چودھواں گروہ یسباب کا تھا۔
14 پندرہواں گروہ بلجاہ کا تھا۔
سولھواں گروہ امیر کا تھا۔
15 سترہواں گروہ حزیر کا تھا۔
اٹھا رہواں گروہ ہفضیض کا تھا۔
16 انیسواں گروہ فتحیاہ کا تھا۔
بیسواں گروہ یحزقیل کا تھا۔
17 اکیسواں گروہ یاکن کا تھا۔
بائیسواں گروہ جمول کا تھا۔
18 تیئیسواں گروہ دلایاہ کا تھا۔
چوبیسواں گروہ معزیاہ کا تھا۔
19 یہ ان لوگوں کی خدمت کرنے کی ترتیب تھی اور اسی ترتیب سے ان اصولوں کے مطا بق جو انکو انکے آباؤ اجداد ہارون سے ملی تھی خدا وند کی ہیکل میں داخل ہو تے تھے۔ جیسا کہ ہارون کو خدا وند اسرائیل کے خدا نے یہ حکم دیا تھا۔
دوسرے لاوی
20 یہ نام بقیہ لاوی کی نسل کے ہیں:
عمرام کی نسلوں سے شو بائیل۔
شوبائیل کی نسلوں سے یہدیا۔
21 رحبیاہ کی نسلوں سے بڑا بیٹا یسیاہ۔
22 اظہار کے خاندانی گروہ سے سلو موت۔
سلو موت کے خاندان سے یحت۔
23 حبرون کا سب سے بڑا یر یاہ تھا۔
امریاہ حبرون کا دوسرا بیٹا یحزی ایل
اس کا تیسرا بیٹا
اوری یقیمعام چو تھا بیٹا
24 عزّی ایل کا بیٹا میکاہ تھا۔
میکاہ کا بیٹا شمیر۔
25 یسیاہ میکاہ کا بھا ئی تھا۔
یسیاہ کا بیٹا زکر یاہ تھا۔
26 مراری کی نسلیں محلی ،موشی اور اس کا بیٹا یعزیاہ کی نسلیں۔
27 اس کا بیٹا یعزیاہ سے مراری کی نسلیں:سویم ، زکور اور عبری تھے۔
28 محلی کا بیٹا الیعزر۔ لیکن الیعزر کو بیٹے نہیں تھے۔
29 قیس کا بیٹا یرحمیل تھا۔
30 موشی کے بیٹے محلی ، عیدر اور یریموت تھے۔
يہي لاوي خاندانوں کے قائدين تھے۔ 31 وہ لوگ بھی ٹھیک اسی طرح سے بادشاہ داؤد ، صدوق ، اخیملک ، کاہنوں اور لاوی کے خاندانوں کے قائدین کے سامنے قرعے ڈا لے جیسے ان کے رشتے دار نے جو کہ ہارون کی نسلوں سے تھے کیا تھا۔ پہلو ٹھے کے خاندانوں کے ساتھ ویسا ہی برتا ؤ کیا گیا تھا جیسا کہ چھو ٹے بھا ئیوں کے خاندانوں کے ساتھ کیا گیا تھا۔

The Divisions of Priests
24 These were the divisions(A) of the descendants of Aaron:(B)
The sons of Aaron were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.(C) 2 But Nadab and Abihu died before their father did,(D) and they had no sons; so Eleazar and Ithamar served as the priests. 3 With the help of Zadok(E) a descendant of Eleazar and Ahimelek a descendant of Ithamar, David separated them into divisions for their appointed order of ministering. 4 A larger number of leaders were found among Eleazar’s descendants than among Ithamar’s, and they were divided accordingly: sixteen heads of families from Eleazar’s descendants and eight heads of families from Ithamar’s descendants. 5 They divided them impartially by casting lots,(F) for there were officials of the sanctuary and officials of God among the descendants of both Eleazar and Ithamar.
6 The scribe Shemaiah son of Nethanel, a Levite, recorded their names in the presence of the king and of the officials: Zadok the priest, Ahimelek(G) son of Abiathar and the heads of families of the priests and of the Levites—one family being taken from Eleazar and then one from Ithamar.
7 The first lot fell to Jehoiarib,
the second to Jedaiah,(H)
8 the third to Harim,(I)
the fourth to Seorim,
9 the fifth to Malkijah,
the sixth to Mijamin,
10 the seventh to Hakkoz,
the eighth to Abijah,(J)
11 the ninth to Jeshua,
the tenth to Shekaniah,
12 the eleventh to Eliashib,
the twelfth to Jakim,
13 the thirteenth to Huppah,
the fourteenth to Jeshebeab,
14 the fifteenth to Bilgah,
the sixteenth to Immer,(K)
15 the seventeenth to Hezir,(L)
the eighteenth to Happizzez,
16 the nineteenth to Pethahiah,
the twentieth to Jehezkel,
17 the twenty-first to Jakin,
the twenty-second to Gamul,
18 the twenty-third to Delaiah
and the twenty-fourth to Maaziah.
19 This was their appointed order of ministering when they entered the temple of the Lord, according to the regulations prescribed for them by their ancestor Aaron, as the Lord, the God of Israel, had commanded him.
The Rest of the Levites
20 As for the rest of the descendants of Levi:(M)
from the sons of Amram: Shubael;
from the sons of Shubael: Jehdeiah.
21 As for Rehabiah,(N) from his sons:
Ishiah was the first.
22 From the Izharites: Shelomoth;
from the sons of Shelomoth: Jahath.
23 The sons of Hebron:(O) Jeriah the first,[a] Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third and Jekameam the fourth.
24 The son of Uzziel: Micah;
from the sons of Micah: Shamir.
25 The brother of Micah: Ishiah;
from the sons of Ishiah: Zechariah.
26 The sons of Merari:(P) Mahli and Mushi.
The son of Jaaziah: Beno.
27 The sons of Merari:
from Jaaziah: Beno, Shoham, Zakkur and Ibri.
28 From Mahli: Eleazar, who had no sons.
29 From Kish: the son of Kish:
Jerahmeel.
30 And the sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder and Jerimoth.
These were the Levites, according to their families. 31 They also cast lots,(Q) just as their relatives the descendants of Aaron did, in the presence of King David and of Zadok, Ahimelek, and the heads of families of the priests and of the Levites. The families of the oldest brother were treated the same as those of the youngest.
