نەگەڕانەوەی ئیسرائیل بۆ لای خودا
4 ئەی مانگاکانی باشان، ئەوانەی لە کێوی سامیرەن،
ئەی خاتوونەکان، ئەی ئەو ژنانەی ستەم لە هەژاران دەکەن، نەداران وردوخاش دەکەن و
بە مێردەکانیان دەڵێن، «خواردنەوەمان بۆ بهێنن!» گوێتان لەم پەیامە بێت:
2 یەزدانی باڵادەست سوێندی بە پیرۆزی خۆی خوارد،
«بێگومان ڕۆژێک دێت،
خۆتان بە قولاپ دەگیرێن و
دوا کەسیشتان بە قولاپی ماسی.
3 هەریەکە و لەپێش خۆیەوە
بەناو کەلێنی دیوارێکدا دەبردرێن و
فڕێدەدرێنە هەرمۆن.»
ئەوە فەرمایشتی یەزدانە.
4 «وەرن بۆ بێت‌ئێل و یاخی ببن،
لە گلگال یاخیبوون زۆر بکەن.
هەموو بەیانییەک قوربانییەکانتان بهێنن،
هەر سێ ڕۆژ جارێک دەیەکەکانتان.
5 ئەی نەوەی ئیسرائیل، لە هەویرترشەوە[a] قوربانی سوپاسگوزاری بسووتێنن،
بانگەواز بۆ بەخشینی ئازاد بکەن و ڕایبگەیەنن،
چونکە واتان پێ خۆش بوو.»
ئەوە فەرموودەی یەزدانی باڵادەستە.
6 «هەروەها منیش لە هەموو شارۆچکەکانتان سک بەتاڵی و
لە هەموو شوێنەکانتان کەمی نانم پێدان،
بەڵام ئێوە بۆ لای من نەگەڕانەوە.»
ئەوە فەرمایشتی یەزدانە.
7 «هەروەها بارانم لێ گرتنەوە
هێشتا سێ مانگی مابوو بۆ دروێنە.
بارانم بەسەر شارۆچکەیەکدا باراند و
بەسەر شارۆچکەیەکی دیکەدا نەمباراند.
بەسەر کێڵگەیەکدا باری و
ئەو کێڵگەش کە بەسەریدا نەباری وشک بوو.
8 خەڵکی دوو سێ شارۆچکە بۆ ئاو خواردنەوە چوونە شارۆچکەیەکی دیکە،
تینووێتییان نەشکا،
بەڵام ئێوە بۆ لای من نەگەڕانەوە.»
ئەوە فەرمایشتی یەزدانە.
9 «زۆر جار باخ و ڕەزەمێوی ئێوەم هەڵپڕووکاندووە،
بە بای گەرمەسێر و کەڕوو.
کوللە دار هەنجیر و دار زەیتوونیان خواردووە،
بەڵام ئێوە بۆ لای من نەگەڕاونەتەوە.»
ئەوە فەرمایشتی یەزدانە.
10 «دەردم ناردە سەر ئێوە،
وەک ئەوەی ناردبوومە سەر میسر.
بە شمشێر لاوەکانی ئێوەم کوشت،
لەگەڵ ئەسپە ڕاپێچکراوەکان،
وام کرد بۆنی بۆگەنی تەرمەکانی ناو ئۆردوگاکەتان بکەن،
بەڵام ئێوە بۆ لای من نەگەڕانەوە.»
ئەوە فەرمایشتی یەزدانە.
11 «هەندێکتانم هەڵگەڕاندەوە،
وەک چۆن سەدۆم و عەمۆرام هەڵگەڕاندەوە،
وەک پارچە دارێکی گڕگرتووتان لێهات کە لەناو ئاگرەوە دەرهێنرابێت،
بەڵام ئێوە بۆ لای من نەگەڕانەوە.»
ئەوە فەرمایشتی یەزدانە.
12 «ئەی ئیسرائیل، ئاوات پێ دەکەم،
ئەی ئیسرائیل، لەبەر ئەوەی ئەمەت پێ دەکەم،
ئامادەبە بۆ ڕووبەڕووبوونەوەی خوداکەت.»
13 شێوەداڕێژی چیاکان و
بەدیهێنەری با،
ئەوەی بە مرۆڤ ڕادەگەیەنێت بیرکردنەوەی چییە،
ئەوەی بەرەبەیان دەکاتە تاریکی،
بەسەر بەرزاییەکانی زەویدا دەڕوات،
ناوی یەزدانی پەروەردگاری سوپاسالارە.

4 Hear this word, ye kine of Bashan, that are in the mountain of Samaria, which oppress the poor, which crush the needy, which say to their masters, Bring, and let us drink.
2 The Lord God hath sworn by his holiness, that, lo, the days shall come upon you, that he will take you away with hooks, and your posterity with fishhooks.
3 And ye shall go out at the breaches, every cow at that which is before her; and ye shall cast them into the palace, saith the Lord.
4 Come to Bethel, and transgress; at Gilgal multiply transgression; and bring your sacrifices every morning, and your tithes after three years:
5 And offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving with leaven, and proclaim and publish the free offerings: for this liketh you, O ye children of Israel, saith the Lord God.
6 And I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and want of bread in all your places: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the Lord.
7 And also I have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.
8 So two or three cities wandered unto one city, to drink water; but they were not satisfied: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the Lord.
9 I have smitten you with blasting and mildew: when your gardens and your vineyards and your fig trees and your olive trees increased, the palmerworm devoured them: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the Lord.
10 I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, and have taken away your horses; and I have made the stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the Lord.
11 I have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the Lord.
12 Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.
13 For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The Lord, The God of hosts, is his name.

God’s Punishments Have Not Reformed Israel
4 Hear this word, you (A)cows of Bashan, who are on the mountain of Samaria,
Who oppress the (B)poor,
Who crush the needy,
Who say to [a]your husbands, “Bring wine, let us (C)drink!”
2 (D)The Lord God has sworn by His holiness:
“Behold, the days shall come upon you
When He will take you away (E)with fishhooks,
And your posterity with fishhooks.
3 (F)You will go out through broken walls,
Each one straight ahead of her,
And you will [b]be cast into Harmon,”
Says the Lord.
4 “Come(G) to Bethel and transgress,
At (H)Gilgal multiply transgression;
(I)Bring your sacrifices every morning,
(J)Your tithes every three [c]days.
5 (K)Offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving with leaven,
Proclaim and announce (L)the freewill offerings;
For this you love,
You children of Israel!”
Says the Lord God.
Israel Did Not Accept Correction
6 “Also I gave you [d]cleanness of teeth in all your cities,

(M)Yet you have not returned to Me,”
Says the Lord.
7 “I also withheld rain from you,
When there were still three months to the harvest.
I made it rain on one city,
I withheld rain from another city.
One part was rained upon,
And where it did not rain the part withered.

But they were not satisfied;
Yet you have not returned to Me,”
Says the Lord.
9 “I(N) blasted you with blight and mildew.
When your gardens increased,
Your vineyards,
Your fig trees,
And your olive trees,
(O)The locust devoured them;
Yet you have not returned to Me,”
Says the Lord.
10 “I sent among you a plague (P)after the manner of Egypt;
Your young men I killed with a sword,
Along with your captive horses;
I made the stench of your camps come up into your nostrils;
Yet you have not returned to Me,”
