1 От Юда, слуга на Исус Христос и брат на Яков, до призованите, обичани от Бог Отец и пазени за[a] Исус Христос:

2 Милост, мир и любов да изобилстват над вас.

Божието наказание за лъжеучителите

3 Скъпи мои, въпреки че много ми се искаше да ви пиша за общото ни спасение, почувствах, че е нужно да ви пиша и да ви убедя да се борите за вярата, която Бог веднъж завинаги даде на своите святи хора. 4 Защото сред вас са се промъкнали някои, за чието осъждане Писанията отдавна са пророкували. Това са безбожници, които изопачават благодатта на нашия Бог, за да оправдаят своя разгулен живот, и отричат Исус Христос, нашия единствен Господар и Господ.

Заради парите се отдадоха на заблудата на Валаам[d], разбунтуваха се като Корей[e] и като него са унищожени. 12 Тези хора са опасни рифове[f] през специалното време, в което споделяте храната си. Те безсрамно[g] ядат с вас. Грижат се само за себе си. Те са безводни облаци, носени от ветровете; окапали дървета, които — недали плод през есента и изкоренени — са умрели два пъти. 13 Те са бурни морски вълни, които оставят на брега единствено пяната на своя позор; блуждаещи звезди, за които Бог е запазил най-черния мрак завинаги.

14 За тях пророкува и Енох[h], седмият след Адам, казвайки: „Ето! Господ идва с десетки хиляди свои святи ангели, 15 за да съди цялото човечество и да обяви за виновни всички хора за всички безбожни дела, които са вършили по безбожен начин и за всички ужасни думи, които безбожните грешници са говорили против него.“

16 Тези хора винаги недоволстват, постоянно обвиняват другите и следват собствените си егоистични желания. Те говорят надменно и ласкаят другите с користни цели.

Предупреждения и наставления

17 А вие, скъпи мои, помнете какво предрекоха апостолите на нашия Господ Исус Христос. 18 Те ви казваха: „В последното време ще се появят хора присмехулници, които ще следват своите безбожни желания.“ 19 Те създават разцепления, управлявани са от инстинктите си и нямат Духа.

20 Но вие, скъпи мои, се изграждайте един друг върху своята най-свята вяра и се молете с помощта на Святия Дух. 21 Пазете себе си в Божията любов, като очаквате нашия Господ Исус Христос, който в милостта си ще ви даде вечен живот.

22 Помагайте на тези, които се съмняват. 23 Спасявайте други, като ги изтръгвате от огъня. Към трети проявявайте милост, примесена със страх, като внимавате порочният им живот да не зарази и вас.[i]

Славете Бога

24 А на него, който е способен да ви пази от падане и да ви представи безгрешни и радостни пред своята слава, 25 на единствения Бог, нашия Спасител, чрез Исус Христос, нашия Господ, да бъде слава, величие, сила и власт за всички минали времена, сега и завинаги! Амин.

Disciples’ Literal New Testament

1 Jude[a], a slave of Jesus Christ and brother of James, to the called ones having been loved by[b] God the Father and kept[c] by[d] Jesus Christ: 2 May mercy and peace and love be multiplied to you.

Beloved, Fight For The Faith Against Those Seeking To Change Grace Into License

3 Beloved, while making every effort to be writing to you concerning our common salvation, I had the necessity to write to you exhorting you to be contending[e] for the faith having been delivered once-for-all to the saints. 4 For certain persons sneaked-in[f]— the ones formerly[g] having been portrayed[h] for this judgment, ungodly ones— changing[i] the grace of our God into sensuality and denying our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

Remember: The Lord Punished The Unbelieving And The Immoral

5 Now I want to remind you— you knowing[j] all things— that the Lord[k], having once[l] saved[m] the people out of the land of Egypt, afterwards destroyed the ones not having believed. 6 And He has kept[n] angels— the ones not having kept their own domain[o], but having left-behind[p] their own dwelling[q]— in eternal bonds[r] under gloom for the judgment of the great day. 7 Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them in like manner to these[s]— having indulged-in-sexual-immorality and gone after other flesh— are set-forth as an example, undergoing the penalty[t] of eternal fire.

Yet These People Defile The Flesh And Reject God’s Authority. Woe To Them

8 Yet in the same way also these dreaming ones are defiling the flesh and rejecting authority[u] and blaspheming[v] glories[w]! 9 Now Michael the archangel[x], when he was speaking concerning the body of Moses while disputing with the devil, did not dare to bring[y] a judgment of blasphemy, but said, “May the Lord rebuke you”. 10 But these ones— whatever things they do not understand, they blaspheme; and whatever things they know instinctually like unreasoning animals, by these they are being destroyed. 11 Woe to them, because they went in the way of Cain, and they poured-forth[z] in the error of Balaam for wages, and they perished[aa] in the rebellion of Korah.

Enoch Prophesied God Would Execute Judgment Against These Ungodly Stains

12 These ones are the ones who are spots[ab] in your love-feasts, feasting-with[ac] you fearlessly, tending[ad] themselves; waterless clouds being carried-along by winds; fruitless autumn trees having died twice, having been uprooted; 13 wild waves of the sea foaming-up their shames; wandering stars for whom the gloom of darkness has been reserved forever. 14 But indeed Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied with regard to these ones, saying, “Behold— the Lord came with His holy myriads 15 to execute judgment against all, and to convict every soul concerning all their works of [ae] ungodliness which they did-godlessly, and concerning all the harsh things which ungodly sinners spoke against Him”.

Remember That The Apostles Prophesied of These Mockers Pursuing Their Ungodly Desires

16 These ones are grumblers[af], faultfinders, proceeding in accordance with their own desires. And their mouth speaks pompous words, marveling-at[ag] faces for the sake of advantage. 17 But you, beloved, remember the words having been spoken-beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ— 18 that they were saying to you that “In the last time there will be mockers proceeding in accordance with their own desires of [ah] ungodliness”.

But You, Beloved, Keep Yourselves In The Love of God

19 These ones are the ones causing-divisions[ai]— natural ones, not having the Spirit. 20 But you, beloved, while building-up yourselves on[aj] your most holy faith, while praying in[ak] the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God while waiting-for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ for eternal life. 22 And be having-mercy-on[al] some doubting[am] ones. 23 And be saving[an] others, snatching them out of the fire. And be having-mercy-on others with fear while hating even the tunic[ao] having been stained by the flesh.

24 Now to the One being able to keep[ap] you from-stumbling[aq] and to make you stand in the presence of His glory without-blemish with gladness[ar], 25 to the only God our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority before[as] every age, and now, and for[at] all ages, amen.

1 Jude,(A) a servant of Jesus Christ(B) and a brother of James,

To those who have been called,(C) who are loved in God the Father and kept for[a] Jesus Christ:(D)

2 Mercy, peace(E) and love be yours in abundance.(F)

The Sin and Doom of Ungodly People

3 Dear friends,(G) although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share,(H) I felt compelled to write and urge you to contend(I) for the faith(J) that was once for all entrusted to God’s holy people.(K) 4 For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about[b] long ago have secretly slipped in among you.(L) They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.(M)

5 Though you already know all this,(N) I want to remind you(O) that the Lord[c] at one time delivered his people out of Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not believe.(P) 6 And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling—these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day.(Q) 7 In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah(R) and the surrounding towns(S) gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.(T)

8 In the very same way, on the strength of their dreams these ungodly people pollute their own bodies, reject authority and heap abuse on celestial beings.(U) 9 But even the archangel(V) Michael,(W) when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses,(X) did not himself dare to condemn him for slander but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”[d](Y) 10 Yet these people slander whatever they do not understand, and the very things they do understand by instinct—as irrational animals do—will destroy them.(Z)

11 Woe to them! They have taken the way of Cain;(AA) they have rushed for profit into Balaam’s error;(AB) they have been destroyed in Korah’s rebellion.(AC)

12 These people are blemishes at your love feasts,(AD) eating with you without the slightest qualm—shepherds who feed only themselves.(AE) They are clouds without rain,(AF) blown along by the wind;(AG) autumn trees, without fruit and uprooted(AH)—twice dead. 13 They are wild waves of the sea,(AI) foaming up their shame;(AJ) wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever.(AK)

14 Enoch,(AL) the seventh from Adam, prophesied about them: “See, the Lord is coming(AM) with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones(AN) 15 to judge(AO) everyone, and to convict all of them of all the ungodly acts they have committed in their ungodliness, and of all the defiant words ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”[e](AP) 16 These people are grumblers(AQ) and faultfinders; they follow their own evil desires;(AR) they boast(AS) about themselves and flatter others for their own advantage.

A Call to Persevere

17 But, dear friends, remember what the apostles(AT) of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold.(AU) 18 They said to you, “In the last times(AV) there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.”(AW) 19 These are the people who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit.(AX)

20 But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up(AY) in your most holy faith(AZ) and praying in the Holy Spirit,(BA) 21 keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait(BB) for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.(BC)

22 Be merciful to those who doubt; 23 save others by snatching them from the fire;(BD) to others show mercy, mixed with fear—hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.[f](BE)

Doxology

24 To him who is able(BF) to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence(BG) without fault(BH) and with great joy— 25 to the only God(BI) our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore!(BJ) Amen.(BK)
