11 Дирижеру хора, под восьмиструнный инструмент. Псалом Давида.
2 Господи, помоги, потому что не стало святого,
исчезли верные среди людей!
3 Они обманывают друг друга;
от лживого сердца говорит их льстивый язык.
4 Пусть погубит Господь всякий льстивый язык
и все хвастливые уста,
5 что говорят: «Мы одержим победу устами.
Язык наш с нами – кто нам хозяин?»
6 «Так как слабых теснят
и бедные стонут,
Я ныне восстану, – говорит Господь. –
Я дам им желанное спасение».
7 Слова Господа – слова чистые,
как серебро, что очищено в горне,
переплавлено семь раз.
8 Господи, Ты сохранишь нас,
сбережешь нас от этого рода вовек.
9 Повсюду расхаживают нечестивые,
когда у людей низость в почете.

2 Вечный, помоги, потому что не стало благочестивых,
исчезли верные среди людей!
3 Они обманывают друг друга;
от лживого сердца говорит их льстивый язык.
4 Пусть погубит Вечный всякий льстивый язык
и все хвастливые уста,
5 тех, кто говорит: «Мы одержим победу устами.
Мы бойки на язык – кто нас переспорит?»
6 «Так как слабых теснят,
и бедные стонут,
Я ныне восстану, – говорит Вечный. –
Я дам им желанный покой».
7 Обещания Вечного – обещания чистые,
как серебро, что очищено в горне,
переплавлено семь раз.
8 Вечный, Ты сохранишь нас,
сбережёшь нас от этого рода вовек.
9 Повсюду расхаживают нечестивые,
когда у людей в почёте низость.

11 Au chef de chœur. Un psaume de David.
Oui, j’ai fait mon refuge ╵de l’Eternel.
Pourquoi alors me répéter :
« Prends ton vol, comme un passereau, ╵afin de fuir dans les montagnes[a] » ?
2 Vois les méchants bander leur arc,
poser leur flèche sur la corde
pour tirer dans l’obscurité ╵sur ceux dont le cœur est intègre.
3 Lorsque les fondements vacillent,
que peut bien faire l’homme droit ?
4 L’Eternel est dans son saint temple,
l’Eternel a son trône au ciel,
de ses yeux il observe :
il sonde les humains,
5 l’Eternel sonde ╵ceux qui sont justes, ╵mais il déteste le méchant
et l’homme épris de violence.
6 Il fait pleuvoir sur les méchants
du charbon[b], du feu et du soufre.
Il les expose au vent brûlant[c] : ╵voilà la part qu’il leur réserve.
7 Car l’Eternel est un Dieu juste, ╵et il aime les actes ╵accomplis selon la justice.
Les hommes droits verront sa face.

For the director of music. Of David.
1 In the Lord I take refuge.(A)
How then can you say to me:
“Flee(B) like a bird to your mountain.(C)
2 For look, the wicked bend their bows;(D)
they set their arrows(E) against the strings
to shoot from the shadows(F)
at the upright in heart.(G)
3 When the foundations(H) are being destroyed,
what can the righteous do?”
4 The Lord is in his holy temple;(I)
the Lord is on his heavenly throne.(J)
He observes everyone on earth;(K)
his eyes examine(L) them.
5 The Lord examines the righteous,(M)
but the wicked, those who love violence,
he hates with a passion.(N)
6 On the wicked he will rain
fiery coals and burning sulfur;(O)
a scorching wind(P) will be their lot.
