6 За първия певец на струнни инструменти, на осмострунна арфа. Давидов псалом. Господи, не ме изобличавай в гнева Си, Нито ме наказвай в лютото Си негодувание.

²Смили се за мене, Господи, защото изнемощях; Изцели ме, Господи, защото ме болят костите ми.

³Също и душата ми е твърде смутена; Но Ти, Господи, до кога?

⁴Върни се, Господи, избави душата ми; Спаси ме заради милосърдието Си;

⁵Защото в смъртта не се споменува за Тебе; В преизподнята {Еврейски: Шеол, т.е. гроб, яма, ад. Навсякъде думата <шеол> е заменена с} кой ще те славослови?

⁶Уморих се от въздишането си; Всяка нощ обливам леглото си, Със сълзите си измокрям постелката си.

⁷Окото ми вехне от скръб, Старее поради всичките ми противници.

⁸Махнете се от мене, всички, които вършите беззаконие, Защото Господ е чул гласа на плача ми;

⁹Господ е послушал молбата ми. Господ ще приеме молитвата ми.

¹⁰Ще се посрамят и много ще се смутят всичките ми неприятели; Ще се върнат назад, ще се посрамят внезапно.

¹Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger^(A)
    or discipline me in your wrath.
²Have mercy on me,^(B) Lord, for I am faint;^(C)
    heal me,^(D) Lord, for my bones are in agony.^(E)
³My soul is in deep anguish.^(F)
    How long,^(G) Lord, how long?

⁴Turn,^(H) Lord, and deliver me;
save me because of your unfailing love.^(I)
⁵Among the dead no one proclaims your name.
Who praises you from the grave?^(J)

⁶I am worn out^(K) from my groaning.^(L)

All night long I flood my bed with weeping^(M)
and drench my couch with tears.^(N)
⁷My eyes grow weak^(O) with sorrow;
they fail because of all my foes.

⁸Away from me,^(P) all you who do evil,^(Q)
    for the Lord has heard my weeping.
⁹The Lord has heard my cry for mercy;^(R)
    the Lord accepts my prayer.
¹⁰All my enemies will be overwhelmed with shame and anguish;^(S)
    they will turn back and suddenly be put to shame.^(T)

O Lord, Deliver My Life

6 O Lord, ^(B)rebuke me not in your anger,
    nor ^(C)discipline me in your wrath.
²Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am languishing;
    ^(D)heal me, O Lord, ^(E)for my bones are troubled.
³My ^(F)soul also is greatly troubled.
    But you, O Lord—^(G)how long?

⁴Turn, O Lord, deliver my life;
save me for the sake of your steadfast love.
⁵For in ^(H)death there is no remembrance of you;
in Sheol who will give you praise?

⁶I am ^(I)weary with my ^(J)moaning;
    every night I flood my bed with tears;
    I drench my couch with my weeping.
⁷My ^(K)eye wastes away because of grief;
    it grows weak because of all my foes.

⁸^(L)Depart from me, all you ^(M)workers of evil,
    for the Lord ^(N)has heard the sound of my weeping.
⁹The Lord has heard my ^(O)plea;
    the Lord accepts my prayer.
¹⁰All my enemies shall be ashamed and greatly troubled;

Nor chasten me in Your hot displeasure.
²Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am weak;
O Lord, ^(C)heal me, for my bones are troubled.
³My soul also is greatly ^(D)troubled;
But You, O Lord—how long?

⁴Return, O Lord, deliver me!
Oh, save me for Your mercies’ sake!
⁵^(E)For in death there is no remembrance of You;
In the grave who will give You thanks?

⁶I am weary with my groaning;
^[b]All night I make my bed swim;
I drench my couch with my tears.
⁷^(F)My eye wastes away because of grief;
It grows old because of all my enemies.
