148 Алілуя! Хваліте Господа з небес, хваліте Його в висоті!
2 Хваліте Його, всі Його Анголи, хваліте Його, усі війська Його:
3 Хваліте Його, сонце й місяцю, хваліте Його, усі зорі ясні!
4 Хваліте Його, небеса із небес, та води, що над небесами!
5 Нехай Господа хвалять вони, бо Він наказав, і створились вони,
6 Він їх поставив на вічні віки, дав наказа, і не переступлять його!
7 Хваліть Господа також з землі: риби великі й безодні усі,
8 огонь та град, сніг та туман, вітер бурхливий, що виконує слово Його,
9 гори та пагірки всі, плідне дерево та всі кедрини,
10 звірина й вся худоба, все плазуюче та птаство крилате,
11 земні царі й всі народи, князі та всі судді землі,
12 юнаки та дівиці, старі разом із дітьми,
13 нехай усі хвалять Господнє ім'я, бо Його тільки Ймення звеличилось, величність Його на землі й небесах!
14 Він рога народу Своєму підніс! Слава всім богобійним Його, дітям ізраїлевим, народові, що до Нього близький! Алілуя!
149 Алілуя! Заспівайте для Господа пісню нову, Йому слава на зборах святих!
2 Хай ізраїль радіє Творцем своїм, хай Царем своїм тішаться діти Сіону!
3 Нехай славлять ім'я Його танцем, нехай вигравають для Нього на бубні та гуслах,
4 бо знаходить Господь уподобу в народі Своїм, прикрашає покірних спасінням!
5 Хай радіють у славі святі, хай співають на ложах своїх,
6 прославлення Бога на їхніх устах, а меч обосічний ув їхніх руках,
7 щоб чинити між племенами помсту, між народами кари,

Славімо Господа Небесного!
Ви, Ангели, хваліть Його на небесах!
2 Всі Ангели, оспівуйте Його,
Небесне військо,[a] величальної співай!
3 Його вславляйте, Сонце й Місяць,
всі мерехтливі зорі, й ви хваліть Його!
4 Небо і води над ним, Господа вихваляйте!
5 Нехай усі вони вславляють Господа ім’я,
бо створене усе Його велінням.
6 Усе це Він навіки встановив.
Він встановив закони, їм кінця не буде.
7 Хваліть Господа, усі чудовиська морські й земні!
8 Вогонь і град, і сніг, і дим, і вітер штормовий—
усі Господа хваліть.
9 Славте Його усі пагорби, гори, кедри і сади фруктові.
10 Ви, тварини дрібні і звіри велетенські,
невеликі плазуни й крилате птаство—

Співайте Господу нових пісень!
Його звеличуйте піснями,
коли збираються всі шанувальники Його разом.
2 Возрадуйся Творцеві Ізраїлю!
Сіона жителі, радійте вашому Царю!
3 Вони, танцюючи, хвалитимуть Його,
співаючи у супроводі тамбурина й ліри.
4 Господь втішається Своїм народом,
Він чудеса творить, рятуючи смиренних.
5 Радіють Його славі послідовники Його,

Praise the Lord from the heavens;(B)
praise him in the heights above.
2 Praise him, all his angels;(C)
praise him, all his heavenly hosts.(D)
3 Praise him, sun(E) and moon;
praise him, all you shining stars.
4 Praise him, you highest heavens(F)
and you waters above the skies.(G)
5 Let them praise the name(H) of the Lord,
for at his command(I) they were created,
6 and he established them for ever and ever—
he issued a decree(J) that will never pass away.
7 Praise the Lord(K) from the earth,
you great sea creatures(L) and all ocean depths,(M)
8 lightning and hail,(N) snow and clouds,
stormy winds that do his bidding,(O)
9 you mountains and all hills,(P)
fruit trees and all cedars,
10 wild animals(Q) and all cattle,

he crowns the humble with victory.(AI)

6 May the praise of God be in their mouths(AL)

29 Бо що зроблять ті, хто христяться ради мертвих? Коли мертві не воскресають зовсім, то нащо вони ради мертвих і христяться?
30 Для чого й ми повсякчас наражаємось на небезпеки?
31 Я щодень умираю. Так свідчу, браття, вашою хвалою, що маю її в Христі Ісусі, Господі нашім.
32 Коли я зо звірами боровся в Ефесі, яка мені по-людському користь, коли мертві не воскресають? Будем їсти та пити, бо ми взавтра вмрем!...
33 Не дайте себе звести, товариство лихе псує добрі звичаї!
34 Протверезіться правдиво, та й не грішіть, бо деякі Бога не знають, говорю вам на сором!
35 Але дехто скаже: Як мертві воскреснуть? І в якім тілі прийдуть?
36 Нерозумний, що ти сієш, те не оживе, як не вмре.
37 І коли сієш, то сієш не тіло майбутнє, але голе зерно, яке трапиться, пшениці або чого іншого,
38 і Бог йому тіло дає, як захоче, і кожному зерняті тіло його.
39 Не кожне тіло однакове тіло, але ж інше в людей, та інше тіло в скотини, та інше тіло в пташок, та інше у риб.
40 Є небесні тіла й тіла земні, але ж інша слава небесним, а інша земним.
41 Інша слава для сонця, та інша слава для місяця, та інша слава для зір, бо зоря від зорі відрізняється славою!
42 Так само й воскресення мертвих: сіється в тління, в нетління встає,
43 сіється в неславу, у славі встає, сіється в немочі, у силі встає,
44 сіється тіло звичайне, встає тіло духовне. Є тіло звичайне, є й тіло духовне.
45 Так і написано: Перша людина Адам став душею живою, а останній Адам то дух оживляючий.
46 Та не перше духовне, але звичайне, а потім духовне.
47 Перша людина з землі, земна, друга Людина із неба Господь.
48 Який земний, такі й земні, і Який небесний, такі й небесні.
49 І, як носили ми образ земного, так і образ небесного будемо носити.
50 І це скажу, браття, що тіло й кров посісти Божого Царства не можуть, ані тління нетління не посяде.
51 Ось кажу я вам таємницю: не всі ми заснемо, та всі перемінимось,
52 раптом, як оком змигнути, при останній сурмі: бо засурмить вона і мертві воскреснуть, а ми перемінимось!...
53 Мусить бо тлінне оце зодягнутись в нетління, а смертне оце зодягтися в безсмертя.
54 А коли оце тлінне в нетління зодягнеться, і оце смертне в безсмертя зодягнеться, тоді збудеться слово написане: Поглинута смерть перемогою!
55 Де, смерте, твоя перемога? Де твоє, смерте, жало?
56 Жало ж смерти то гріх, а сила гріха то Закон.
57 А Богові дяка, що Він Господом нашим Ісусом Христом перемогу нам дав.
58 Отож, брати любі мої, будьте міцні, непохитні, збагачуйтесь завжди в Господньому ділі, знаючи, що ваша праця не марнотна у Господі!

29 Інакше, якщо немає воскресіння, що ж робитимуть ті, хто охрестився заради померлих? Якщо мертві ніколи не воскреснуть, то навіщо ж люди хрестилися заради них? 30 Чому й ми повсякчас зустрічаємося з небезпекою? 31 Щодня мені загрожує смерть. І це правда, як і те, брати і сестри мої, що я пишаюся вами в Ісусі Христі, Господі нашому. 32 Коли я бився з дикими звірами в Ефесі, міркуючи як проста людина, чи була б з того користь? Звичайно ні! Якщо мертві не воскресають, то «питимемо й їстимемо, бо завтра помремо!»(A)
33 Не давайте вводити себе в оману. Лихе товариство руйнує добрі звичаї. 34 Отямтеся, поверніться до здорового глузду, як належить, і киньте грішити, бо дехто з вас не знає Бога. Кажу це, щоб присоромити вас.
Яке тіло ми матимемо?
35 Але дехто може спитати: «Як воскресають мертві? Яке тіло вони матимуть?»
36 Дурниці! Те, що садите в землю, не оживе, поки спершу не «помре!» 37 І потім, що ви садите? Адже ви сієте в землю не дозріле «тіло», а просте зерно. Це може бути пшениця або щось інше. 38 Тоді Бог надає йому те тіло, яке Сам вибрав. Він дає кожній зернині її власне «тіло». 39 Тіла живих істот не однакові. Ні, у людей вони одні, а у тварин—зовсім інакші. У птахів ще інші, а у риб іще інші.
40 Є тіла Небесні й земні, але краса Небесних і земних тіл різна. 41 Сонце має одну красу, а місяць і зірки—зовсім іншу. Та краса однієї зірки відрізняється від іншої. 42 Так само буде й тоді, коли мертві воскреснуть: тіло, що сіється у землю—тлінне, а як зросте, буде нетлінним. 43 Воно сіється в неславу, у славу зростає; посіяне в немочі, підніметься у силі. 44 Посіяне тіло є земним, зросле—духовним; якщо є природні тіла, то є й духовні.
45 Ось у Святому Писанні сказано, що перший чоловік, Адам, «став живою істотою»[a].(B) Та останній Адам[b] став життєдайним духом. 46 Не духовна людина була першою, а природна. Потім прийшла духовна. 47 Той перший чоловік вийшов із землі і був земним. Другий прийшов з Неба. 48 Всі земні люди такі ж, як і перша людина, яка вийшла з землі. Небесні ж люди такі, як Той Чоловік Небесний. 49 Як носили ми образ земної людини, так само носитимемо і образ Небесної.
50 Кажу вам, брати і сестри, що тіла й кров не можуть успадквати Царства Божого. Адже тлінне не успадковує нетлінного. 51 Ось послухайте! Відкрию я вам таємницю: не всі ми зазнаємо смерті, але всі будемо змінені. 52 І оком не встигнемо змигнути, як просурмить остання сурма. Коли вона просурмить, мерці повстануть нетлінні, і ми перемінимося.
53 Бо це тлінне тіло мусить одягнутися в нетлінне, і це смертне тіло—в безсмертне. 54 І коли це тлінне тіло вдягнеться у все нетлінне, а смертне тіло—у безсмертне, тоді збудеться те, що написано у Святому Писанні:
56 Жало смерті—це гріх, а сила гріха—Закон. 57 Та дяка Богу, Який дає нам перемогу через Господа нашого Ісуса Христа!
58 Тож, брати і сестри мої любі, будьте твердими й непохитними. Присвятіть себе повністю трудам Господнім. Адже ви знаєте, що труд ваш Господній не марний.

29 Now if there is no resurrection, what will those do who are baptized for the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why are people baptized for them? 30 And as for us, why do we endanger ourselves every hour?(A) 31 I face death every day(B)—yes, just as surely as I boast about you in Christ Jesus our Lord. 32 If I fought wild beasts(C) in Ephesus(D) with no more than human hopes, what have I gained? If the dead are not raised,
33 Do not be misled:(F) “Bad company corrupts good character.”[b](G) 34 Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God(H)—I say this to your shame.(I)
The Resurrection Body
35 But someone will ask,(J) “How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come?”(K) 36 How foolish!(L) What you sow does not come to life unless it dies.(M) 37 When you sow, you do not plant the body that will be, but just a seed, perhaps of wheat or of something else. 38 But God gives it a body as he has determined, and to each kind of seed he gives its own body.(N) 39 Not all flesh is the same: People have one kind of flesh, animals have another, birds another and fish another. 40 There are also heavenly bodies and there are earthly bodies; but the splendor of the heavenly bodies is one kind, and the splendor of the earthly bodies is another. 41 The sun has one kind of splendor,(O) the moon another and the stars another;(P) and star differs from star in splendor.
42 So will it be(Q) with the resurrection of the dead.(R) The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable;(S) 43 it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory;(T) it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; 44 it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.(U)
If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. 45 So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being”[c];(V) the last Adam,(W) a life-giving spirit.(X) 46 The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual.(Y) 47 The first man was of the dust of the earth;(Z) the second man is of heaven.(AA) 48 As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are of heaven.(AB) 49 And just as we have borne the image of the earthly man,(AC) so shall we[d] bear the image of the heavenly man.(AD)
50 I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood(AE) cannot inherit the kingdom of God,(AF) nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.(AG) 51 Listen, I tell you a mystery:(AH) We will not all sleep,(AI) but we will all be changed(AJ)— 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound,(AK) the dead(AL) will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable(AM) must clothe itself with the imperishable,(AN) and the mortal with immortality. 54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”[e](AO)
56 The sting of death is sin,(AQ) and the power of sin is the law.(AR) 57 But thanks be to God!(AS) He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.(AT)
58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord,(AU) because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.(AV)

31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
32 If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.
33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:
37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:
38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.
40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.
48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
