Покарання
25 Коли виникне суперечка між людьми, то вони повинні йти із цим до суду, та судді мусять розсудити їх і визначити правого й винного. 2 Якщо винуватий заслуговує на те, щоб його було бито, тоді суддя має примусити цю людину простертися на долівці, щоб його били перед ним числом ударів відповідно до його злочину. 3 Людина може дістати до сорока ударів, не більше. Інакше, якщо йому завдадуть більше ударів, його буде принижено.
4 Не зав’язуй рота волові, коли той молотить.
5 Коли двоє братів живуть разом і один з них помирає, і немає в нього сина, дружина небіжчика не повинна виходити заміж за межами родини, за чужого. Брат її чоловіка мусить одружитися з нею, лягти з нею й виконувати обов’язки чоловікового брата щодо неї. 6 Тоді первісток, якого вона народить, займе місце померлого брата, й ім’я його не забудеться в Ізраїлі. 7 Та якщо чоловік не одружитися з братовою дружиною, тоді вона має піти до старійшин міста, що збираються при брамі, й сказати: «Брат чоловіка мого відмовляється зберегти ім’я брата свого в Ізраїлі». 8 Тоді старійшини цього міста мусять викликати його й поговорити з ним. І він мусить при всіх сказати: «Я не хочу одружуватися з нею». 9 Тоді дружина брата його має підступити до нього перед очима старійшин і зняти з ніг його сандалі, й плюнути йому в обличчя, і сказати: «Ось що роблять з чоловіком, який не хоче дати братові своєму потомства». 10 Тоді його родину в Ізраїлі знатимуть як «родину босого»[a].
11 Якщо двоє чоловіків б’ються і жінка одного прийде рятувати свого чоловіка від кривдника й простягне руку, і схопить його за сороміцьке місце, 12 то відрубайте їй руку. Не виказуйте милосердя до неї.
13 Не носи двох ваг[b] із собою: одну важку, а другу легку. 14 Не тримай у себе вдома двох мірок: одну велику, а другу малу. 15 Тримай лише точні ваги й міри, щоб жив ти довго на землі, яку Господь Бог дає тобі. 16 Кожен, хто нечесний у такий спосіб, огидний Господу Богу твоєму.
Амаликійців треба вигубити
17 Пам’ятай, що з тобою вчинили амаликійці на шляху твоєму, коли ви вийшли з Єгипту, 18 як вони підстерегли тебе й напали на тебе ззаду, як вирізали всіх тих, хто йшов позаду, коли ти був слабкий і виснажений, і не боялися Бога. 19 Коли Господь Бог твій закінчить твої війни з усіма ворогами у всіх куточках землі, що Господь Бог твій дає тобі, ти повинен стерти пам’ять про амаликійців скрізь на землі. Не забудь!

25 When people have a dispute, they are to take it to court and the judges(A) will decide the case,(B) acquitting(C) the innocent and condemning the guilty.(D) 2 If the guilty person deserves to be beaten,(E) the judge shall make them lie down and have them flogged in his presence with the number of lashes the crime deserves, 3 but the judge must not impose more than forty lashes.(F) If the guilty party is flogged more than that, your fellow Israelite will be degraded in your eyes.(G)
4 Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain.(H)
5 If brothers are living together and one of them dies without a son, his widow must not marry outside the family. Her husband’s brother shall take her and marry her and fulfill the duty of a brother-in-law to her.(I) 6 The first son she bears shall carry on the name of the dead brother so that his name will not be blotted out from Israel.(J)
7 However, if a man does not want to marry his brother’s wife,(K) she shall go to the elders at the town gate(L) and say, “My husband’s brother refuses to carry on his brother’s name in Israel. He will not fulfill the duty of a brother-in-law to me.”(M) 8 Then the elders of his town shall summon him and talk to him. If he persists in saying, “I do not want to marry her,” 9 his brother’s widow shall go up to him in the presence of the elders, take off one of his sandals,(N) spit in his face(O) and say, “This is what is done to the man who will not build up his brother’s family line.” 10 That man’s line shall be known in Israel as The Family of the Unsandaled.
11 If two men are fighting and the wife of one of them comes to rescue her husband from his assailant, and she reaches out and seizes him by his private parts, 12 you shall cut off her hand. Show her no pity.(P)
13 Do not have two differing weights in your bag—one heavy, one light.(Q) 14 Do not have two differing measures in your house—one large, one small. 15 You must have accurate and honest weights and measures, so that you may live long(R) in the land the Lord your God is giving you. 16 For the Lord your God detests anyone who does these things, anyone who deals dishonestly.(S)
17 Remember what the Amalekites(T) did to you along the way when you came out of Egypt. 18 When you were weary and worn out, they met you on your journey and attacked all who were lagging behind; they had no fear of God.(U) 19 When the Lord your God gives you rest(V) from all the enemies(W) around you in the land he is giving you to possess as an inheritance, you shall blot out the name of Amalek(X) from under heaven. Do not forget!

Laws Concerning Levirate Marriage
5 (E)“If brothers dwell together, and one of them dies and has no son, the wife of the dead man shall not be married outside the family to a stranger. Her (F)husband's brother shall go in to her and take her as his wife and perform the duty of a husband's brother to her. 6 And the first son whom she bears shall succeed to the name of his dead brother, that (G)his name may not be blotted out of Israel. 7 And if the man does not wish to take his brother's wife, then his brother's wife shall (H)go up to the gate to the elders and say, ‘My husband's brother refuses to perpetuate his brother's name in Israel; he will not perform the duty of a husband's brother to me.’ 8 Then the elders of his city shall call him and speak to him, and if he persists, saying, (I)‘I do not wish to take her,’ 9 then his brother's wife shall go up to him in the presence of the elders and (J)pull his sandal off his foot and (K)spit in his face. And she shall answer and say, ‘So shall it be done to the man who does not (L)build up his brother's house.’ 10 And the name of his house[a] shall be called in Israel, ‘The house of him who had his sandal pulled off.’

11 “When men fight with one another and the wife of the one draws near to rescue her husband from the hand of him who is beating him and puts out her hand and seizes him by the private parts, 12 then you shall cut off her hand. (M)Your eye shall have no pity.
13 “You (N)shall not have in your bag two kinds of weights, a large and a small. 14 You shall not have in your house two kinds of measures, a large and a small. 15 A full and fair[b] weight you shall have, a full and fair measure you shall have, (O)that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. 16 For (P)all who do such things, all who act dishonestly, (Q)are an abomination to the Lord your God.
17 (R)“Remember what Amalek did to you (S)on the way as you came out of Egypt, 18 how he attacked you on the way when you were faint and weary, and (T)cut off your tail, those who were lagging behind you, and he did not fear God. 19 Therefore (U)when the Lord your God has given you rest from all your enemies around you, in the land that the Lord your God is giving you for an inheritance to possess, you shall (V)blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven; you shall not forget.

25 CUANDO hubiere pleito entre algunos, y vinieren á juicio, y los juzgaren, y absolvieren al justo y condenaren al inicuo,
2 Será que, si el delincuente mereciere ser azotado, entonces el juez lo hará echar en tierra, y harále azotar delante de sí, según su delito, por cuenta.
3 Harále dar cuarenta azotes, no más: no sea que, si lo hiriere con muchos azotes a más de éstos, se envilezca tu hermano delante de tus ojos.
4 No pondrás bozal al buey cuando trillare.
5 Cuando hermanos estuvieren juntos, y muriere alguno de ellos, y no tuviere hijo, la mujer del muerto no se casará fuera con hombre extraño: su cuñado entrará á ella, y la tomará por su mujer, y hará con ella parentesco.
6 Y será que el primogénito que pariere ella, se levantará en nombre de su hermano el muerto, porque el nombre de éste no sea raído de Israel.
7 Y si el hombre no quisiere tomar á su cuñada, irá entonces la cuñada suya á la puerta á los ancianos, y dirá: Mi cuñado no quiere suscitar nombre en Israel á su hermano; no quiere emparentar conmigo.
8 Entonces los ancianos de aquella ciudad lo harán venir, y hablarán con él: y si él se levantare, y dijere, No quiero tomarla,
9 Llegaráse entonces su cuñada á él delante de los ancianos, y le descalzará el zapato de su pie, y escupirále en el rostro, y hablará y dirá: Así será hecho al varón que no edificare la casa de su hermano.
10 Y su nombre será llamado en Israel: La casa del descalzado.
11 Cuando algunos riñeren juntos el uno con el otro, y llegare la mujer del uno para librar á su marido de mano del que le hiere, y metiere su mano y le trabare de sus vergüenzas;
12 La cortarás entonces la mano, no la perdonará tu ojo.
13 No tendrás en tu bolsa pesa grande y pesa chica.
14 No tendrás en tu casa epha grande y epha pequeño.
15 Pesas cumplidas y justas tendrás; epha cabal y justo tendrás: para que tus días sean prolongados sobre la tierra que Jehová tu Dios te da.
16 Porque abominación es á Jehová tu Dios cualquiera que hace esto, cualquiera que hace agravio.
17 Acuérdate de lo que te hizo Amalec en el camino, cuando salisteis de Egipto:
18 Que te salió al camino, y te desbarató la retaguardia de todos los flacos que iban detrás de ti, cuando tú estabas cansado y trabajado; y no temió á Dios.
19 Será pues, cuando Jehová tu Dios te hubiere dado reposo de tus enemigos alrededor, en la tierra que Jehová tu Dios te da por heredar para que la poseas, que raerás la memoria de Amalec de debajo del cielo: no te olvides.
