13 Когато Ефрем поучаваше, всички трепереха. Той се издигна в Израил, но се провини чрез Ваал и загина. 2 (A)И сега продължават да грешат: направиха си излети истукани от среброто си, такива, каквито те разбираха кумирите, изцяло работа на художници. Те казват: „На тях трябва да принасяте жертва“, и целуват телета. 3 (B)Поради това те ще бъдат като утринна мъгла, като роса, която рано изчезва, като мекина, която вятърът отвява от хармана, като дим от решетка.

2 А сега притурят на греховете си Като си правят леяни идоли от среброто си, Идоли според своето разбиране на <Божеството>, <Но> <които> всички са дело на художници; <Сами> те казват за тях: Нека целуват телците ония, които жертвуват.
3 Затова ще бъдат като утринния облак, И като росата, която рано прехожда, Като прах, който вихрушката отвява от гумното, И като дим <губещ се> из комин.
4 Но Аз съм Господ твой Бог от <времето когато беше ти в> Египетската земя; Друг Бог освен Мене да не познаеш, Защото освен Мене няма спасител.
5 Аз съм познал <ходенето> ти в пустинята, В много сухата земя.
6 Според както пасяха, така се наситиха; Наситиха се, и сърцето им се надигна; Затова Ме забравиха.
7 По тая причина станах за тях като лъв, Като леопард ще дебна на път;
8 Ще ги срещна като мечка лишена от малките си, И ще разкъсам булото на сърцето им; Там ще ги погълна като лъвица; Див звяр ще ги разкъса.
9 Гибелно е за тебе, Израилю, Дето се противиш на Мене, твоята помощ.
10 А сега где е царят ти? - Та да те избави във всичките ти градове, - И съдиите ти, за които рече: Дай ми цар и началници?
11 Дадох ти цар в негодуванието Си, И махнах го в гнева Си.
12 Беззаконието на Ефрема е скътано, Грехът му запазен в скривалище.
13 Болки на раждаща жена ще го сполетят; Той е неразумен син, Не слиза на време в отвора на матката.
14 От силата на преизподнята ще ги изкупя, От смърт ще ги избавя. О смърт! где са язвите ти? О преизподньо! где е погубителната ти <сила>? <Колкото за това>, Аз няма да видя разкайване.
15 Ако и да е той плодовит <повече> от братята си, Пак източен вятър ще дойде, Вятър от Господа ще възлезе из пустинята, Та ще престане изворът му, И ще пресъхне кладенецът му; <Неприятелят> ще ограби всичките му съхранени отбрани съдове.

13 以法莲支派在以色列地位崇高，

2 如今他们作恶日甚，

人们议论他们说：
“那些献祭的人竟亲吻牛犊偶像！”
3 他们像晨雾，如转瞬即逝的朝露，
像麦场上飞旋而去的糠秕，
又像窗口冒出的轻烟。
4 耶和华说：
“自从你们离开埃及以来，
我就是你们的上帝耶和华。
除我以外，你们不可有别的神明；
在我以外，你们也没有别的救主。
5 我曾在干旱的旷野照顾你们，
6 但你们吃得饱足以后，
就心高气傲，忘记了我。
7 因此，我要像狮子攻击你们，
如豹子潜伏在路旁；
8 我要像一头失了幼崽的母熊冲向你们，
撕裂你们的胸膛；
我要像母狮吞噬你们，
像凶猛的野兽撕碎你们。
9 “以色列啊，你要灭亡了，
因为你抵挡我，抵挡你的帮助者。
10 你曾求我为你设立君王和首领，
现在拯救你的君王在哪里呢？
在各城管理你的首领在哪里呢？
11 我在愤怒中赐给你君王，
也在愤怒中废黜他们。

The Lord’s Anger Against Israel
13 When Ephraim spoke, people trembled;(A)
he was exalted(B) in Israel.
But he became guilty of Baal worship(C) and died.
2 Now they sin more and more;
they make(D) idols for themselves from their silver,(E)
cleverly fashioned images,
all of them the work of craftsmen.(F)
It is said of these people,
“They offer human sacrifices!
They kiss[a](G) calf-idols!(H)”
3 Therefore they will be like the morning mist,
like the early dew that disappears,(I)
like chaff(J) swirling from a threshing floor,(K)
like smoke(L) escaping through a window.
4 “But I have been the Lord your God
ever since you came out of Egypt.(M)
You shall acknowledge(N) no God but me,(O)
no Savior(P) except me.
5 I cared for you in the wilderness,(Q)
in the land of burning heat.
6 When I fed them, they were satisfied;
when they were satisfied, they became proud;(R)
then they forgot(S) me.(T)
7 So I will be like a lion(U) to them,
like a leopard I will lurk by the path.
8 Like a bear robbed of her cubs,(V)
I will attack them and rip them open;
like a lion(W) I will devour them—
a wild animal will tear them apart.(X)
9 “You are destroyed, Israel,
because you are against me,(Y) against your helper.(Z)
10 Where is your king,(AA) that he may save you?
Where are your rulers in all your towns,
of whom you said,
‘Give me a king and princes’?(AB)
11 So in my anger I gave you a king,(AC)
and in my wrath I took him away.(AD)
12 The guilt of Ephraim is stored up,
his sins are kept on record.(AE)
13 Pains as of a woman in childbirth(AF) come to him,
but he is a child without wisdom;
when the time(AG) arrives,
he doesn’t have the sense to come out of the womb.(AH)
14 “I will deliver this people from the power of the grave;(AI)
I will redeem them from death.(AJ)
Where, O death, are your plagues?
Where, O grave, is your destruction?(AK)
“I will have no compassion,
15 even though he thrives(AL) among his brothers.
An east wind(AM) from the Lord will come,
blowing in from the desert;
his spring will fail
and his well dry up.(AN)
His storehouse will be plundered(AO)
of all its treasures.
16 The people of Samaria(AP) must bear their guilt,(AQ)
because they have rebelled(AR) against their God.
They will fall by the sword;(AS)
their little ones will be dashed(AT) to the ground,
their pregnant women(AU) ripped open.”[b]

2 And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images of their silver, and idols according to their own understanding, all of it the work of the craftsmen: they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice kiss the calves.
3 Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud and as the early dew that passeth away, as the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the floor, and as the smoke out of the chimney.
4 Yet I am the Lord thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.
5 I did know thee in the wilderness, in the land of great drought.
6 According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me.
7 Therefore I will be unto them as a lion: as a leopard by the way will I observe them:
8 I will meet them as a bear that is bereaved of her whelps, and will rend the caul of their heart, and there will I devour them like a lion: the wild beast shall tear them.
9 O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself; but in me is thine help.
10 I will be thy king: where is any other that may save thee in all thy cities? and thy judges of whom thou saidst, Give me a king and princes?
11 I gave thee a king in mine anger, and took him away in my wrath.
12 The iniquity of Ephraim is bound up; his sin is hid.
13 The sorrows of a travailing woman shall come upon him: he is an unwise son; for he should not stay long in the place of the breaking forth of children.
14 I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.
15 Though he be fruitful among his brethren, an east wind shall come, the wind of the Lord shall come up from the wilderness, and his spring shall become dry, and his fountain shall be dried up: he shall spoil the treasure of all pleasant vessels.
16 Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.
