Якуб со всей семьёй переселяется в Египет
46 Исраил отправился в путь со всем, что у него было, пришёл в Беэр-Шеву и принёс там жертвы Богу своего отца Исхака. 2 Всевышний говорил с Исраилом в ночном видении и сказал:
– Якуб! Якуб!
– Вот я, – ответил Якуб.
3 И сказал Всевышний:
– Я Всевышний, Бог твоего отца. Не бойся пойти в Египет, потому что Я произведу от тебя там великий народ. 4 Я пойду в Египет вместе с тобой, и Я же приведу тебя обратно. И глаза тебе закроет рука Юсуфа.
5 Якуб отправился в путь из Беэр-Шевы. Iacov şi familia sa merg în Egipt
46 Israel a pornit în călătorie cu tot ce avea, iar când a ajuns la Beer-Şeba, a adus jertfe Dumnezeului tatălui său, Isaac. 2 Dumnezeu i-a vorbit lui Israel într-o vedenie de noapte şi i-a zis:
– Iacove, Iacove!
– Iată-mă! a răspuns el.
3 – Eu sunt Dumnezeu, Dumnezeul tatălui tău; nu te teme să te duci în Egipt, pentru că acolo te voi face un neam mare. 4 Eu Însumi voi merge cu tine în Egipt şi te voi aduce înapoi, iar Iosif îţi va închide ochii.
5 Apoi Iacov a plecat din Beer-Şeba. Fiii lui Israel i-au dus pe tatăl lor, Iacov, pe copiii şi pe soţiile lor în carele pe care Faraon le trimisese să-i aducă. 6 Iacov şi toţi urmaşii săi şi-au luat turmele şi averile, pe care le-au adunat în Canaan, şi au venit să locuiască în Egipt. 7 El i-a adus cu el în Egipt pe fiii, pe nepoţii, pe fiicele şi pe nepoatele sale; adică pe toţi urmaşii.

28 Iacov l-a trimis pe Iuda înainte la Iosif pentru a afla drumul spre Goşen[g]. Când au ajuns în Goşen, 29 Iosif şi-a pregătit carul şi s-a dus să-l întâmpine pe tatăl său acolo. Când a ajuns la el, l-a îmbrăţişat şi a plâns pe umărul lui multă vreme. 30 Apoi Israel i-a zis lui Iosif: „Acum pot să mor, căci am văzut că încă trăieşti.“ 31 Iosif le-a zis fraţilor săi şi familiei tatălui său: „Mă duc la Faraon să-i spun: «Fraţii mei şi familia tatălui meu, care erau în Canaan, au venit la mine. 32 Aceşti oameni sunt păstori, deoarece cresc vite; ei şi-au adus turmele, cirezile şi tot ceea ce au.» 33 Când Faraon vă va chema şi vă va întreba despre ocupaţia voastră, 34 voi să-i răspundeţi că sunteţi păstori încă din tinereţe, asemenea strămoşilor voştri. Astfel, veţi putea locui în ţinutul Goşen, pentru că toţi păstorii sunt detestaţi de către egipteni.“

Jacob Goes to Egypt
46 So Israel(A) set out with all that was his, and when he reached Beersheba,(B) he offered sacrifices(C) to the God of his father Isaac.(D)
2 And God spoke to Israel(E) in a vision at night(F) and said, “Jacob! Jacob!”
“Here I am,”(G) he replied.
3 “I am God, the God of your father,”(H) he said. “Do not be afraid(I) to go down to Egypt,(J) for I will make you into a great nation(K) there.(L) 4 I will go down to Egypt with you, and I will surely bring you back again.(M) And Joseph’s own hand will close your eyes.(N)”
5 Then Jacob left Beersheba,(O) and Israel’s(P) sons took their father Jacob and their children and their wives in the carts(Q) that Pharaoh had sent to transport him. 6 So Jacob and all his offspring went to Egypt,(R) taking with them their livestock and the possessions(S) they had acquired(T) in Canaan. 7 Jacob brought with him to Egypt(U) his sons and grandsons and his daughters and granddaughters—all his offspring.(V)
8 These are the names of the sons of Israel(W) (Jacob and his descendants) who went to Egypt:
Reuben the firstborn(X) of Jacob.
9 The sons of Reuben:(Y)
Hanok, Pallu,(Z) Hezron and Karmi.(AA)
10 The sons of Simeon:(AB)
Jemuel,(AC) Jamin, Ohad, Jakin, Zohar(AD) and Shaul the son of a Canaanite woman.

Bela, Beker, Ashbel, Gera, Naaman, Ehi, Rosh, Muppim, Huppim and Ard.(BI)
22 These were the sons of Rachel(BJ) who were born to Jacob—fourteen in all.
25 These were the sons born to Jacob by Bilhah,(BN) whom Laban had given to his daughter Rachel(BO)—seven in all.
26 All those who went to Egypt with Jacob—those who were his direct descendants, not counting his sons’ wives—numbered sixty-six persons.(BP) 27 With the two sons[f] who had been born to Joseph in Egypt,(BQ) the members of Jacob’s family, which went to Egypt, were seventy[g] in all.(BR)
28 Now Jacob sent Judah(BS) ahead of him to Joseph to get directions to Goshen.(BT) When they arrived in the region of Goshen, 29 Joseph had his chariot(BU) made ready and went to Goshen to meet his father Israel.(BV) As soon as Joseph appeared before him, he threw his arms around his father[h] and wept(BW) for a long time.(BX)
30 Israel(BY) said to Joseph, “Now I am ready to die, since I have seen for myself that you are still alive.”(BZ)
31 Then Joseph said to his brothers and to his father’s household, “I will go up and speak to Pharaoh and will say to him, ‘My brothers and my father’s household, who were living in the land of Canaan,(CA) have come to me.(CB) 32 The men are shepherds;(CC) they tend livestock,(CD) and they have brought along their flocks and herds and everything they own.’(CE) 33 When Pharaoh calls you in and asks, ‘What is your occupation?’(CF) 34 you should answer, ‘Your servants(CG) have tended livestock from our boyhood on, just as our fathers did.’(CH) Then you will be allowed to settle(CI) in the region of Goshen,(CJ) for all shepherds are detestable to the Egyptians.(CK)”

2 And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I.
3 And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation:
4 I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again: and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes.
5 And Jacob rose up from Beersheba: and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.
6 And they took their cattle, and their goods, which they had gotten in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt, Jacob, and all his seed with him:

28 And he sent Judah before him unto Joseph, to direct his face unto Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen.
29 And Joseph made ready his chariot, and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and presented himself unto him; and he fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.
30 And Israel said unto Joseph, Now let me die, since I have seen thy face, because thou art yet alive.
31 And Joseph said unto his brethren, and unto his father's house, I will go up, and shew Pharaoh, and say unto him, My brethren, and my father's house, which were in the land of Canaan, are come unto me;
32 And the men are shepherds, for their trade hath been to feed cattle; and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.
33 And it shall come to pass, when Pharaoh shall call you, and shall say, What is your occupation?
34 That ye shall say, Thy servants' trade hath been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and also our fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians.
