Мудрость важнее всего
4 Послушайте, сыновья, наставление отца;
внимайте, чтобы обрести понимание.
2 Я даю вам учение доброе;
не оставляйте моего поучения.
3 И я был мальчиком в доме у моего отца,
нежным ещё[a] и единственным тогда у моей матери.
4 Отец учил меня и говорил:
«Пусть твоё сердце удержит мои слова;
храни мои повеления и живи.
5 Приобретай мудрость, приобретай разум;
не забывай моих слов и не отклоняйся от них.
6 Не оставляй мудрости, и она защитит тебя;
люби её, и она сохранит тебя.
7 Мудрость важнее всего,
поэтому приобретай мудрость.
И всем, что имеешь,
приобретай разум.
8 Высоко цени её, и она возвысит тебя;
она прославит тебя, если примешь её в объятия.
9 Она возложит тебе на голову прекрасный венок,
славным венцом тебя одарит».
10 Слушай, сын мой, и прими моё слово,
и долгими будут годы твоей жизни.
11 Я наставлю тебя на путь мудрости
и по тропам прямым тебя поведу.
12 Когда ты пойдёшь, не будет стеснён твой шаг,
и когда побежишь, не споткнёшься.
13 Крепко держись наставления, не оставляй его;
храни его, потому что в нём твоя жизнь.
14 Не вступай на тропу нечестивых,
не ходи по пути злодеев.
15 Избегай его, не иди по нему;
отвернись от него и пройди мимо.
16 Ведь они не уснут, если не сделают зла;
нет им сна, если не навредят.
17 Словно хлеб, они едят нечестие
и, как вино, пьют насилие.[b]
18 Путь праведных подобен первому свету зари;
светит он всё ярче и ярче – до полного света дня.
19 Но путь нечестивых подобен кромешной тьме;
они и не знают, обо что спотыкаются.
20 Сын мой, будь внимателен к речи моей,
слова мои слушай прилежно.
21 Не упускай их из вида,
храни их в сердце,
22 ведь они – жизнь для тех, кто нашёл их,
и для всего тела – здоровье.
23 Больше всего храни своё сердце,
потому что оно – источник жизни.
24 Удали от уст своих лживую речь,
удержи свой язык от слов обмана.
25 Пусть глаза твои глядят прямо,
пусть взгляд твой будет устремлён вперёд.
26 Ходи по пути прямому[c],
и шаг твой будет твёрдым.
27 Не отклоняйся ни вправо, ни влево;
удаляй свою ногу от зла.

Nueva Versión Internacional (Castilian)
La sabiduría es lo máximo
4 Escuchad, hijos, la corrección de un padre;
disponeos a adquirir inteligencia.
2 Yo os brindo buenas enseñanzas,
así que no abandonéis mi instrucción.
3 Cuando yo era pequeño y vivía con mi padre,
cuando era el niño consentido de mi madre,
4 mi padre me instruyó de esta manera:
«Aférrate de corazón a mis palabras;
obedece mis mandamientos, y vivirás.
5 Adquiere sabiduría, adquiere inteligencia;
no olvides mis palabras ni te apartes de ellas.
6 No abandones nunca a la sabiduría,
y ella te protegerá;
ámala, y ella te cuidará.
7 La sabiduría es lo primero. ¡Adquiere sabiduría!
Por encima de todas las cosas, adquiere discernimiento.
8 Estima a la sabiduría, y ella te exaltará;
abrázala, y ella te honrará;
9 te pondrá en la cabeza una hermosa diadema;
te obsequiará con una bella corona».
10 Escucha, hijo mío, acoge mis palabras,
y los años de tu vida aumentarán.
11 Yo te guío por el camino de la sabiduría,
te dirijo por sendas de rectitud.
12 Cuando camines, no encontrarás obstáculos;
cuando corras, no tropezarás.
13 Aférrate a la instrucción, no la dejes escapar;
cuídala bien, porque ella es tu vida.
14 No sigas la senda de los perversos
ni vayas por el camino de los malvados.
15 ¡Evita ese camino! ¡No pases por él!
¡Aléjate de allí, y sigue adelante!
16 Los malvados no duermen si no hacen lo malo;
pierden el sueño si no hacen que alguien caiga.
17 Su pan es la maldad;
su vino, la violencia.
18 La senda de los justos se asemeja
a los primeros albores de la aurora:
su esplendor va en aumento
hasta que el día alcanza su plenitud.
19 Pero el camino de los malvados
es como la más densa oscuridad;
¡ni siquiera saben con qué tropiezan!
20 Hijo mío, atiende a mis consejos;
escucha atentamente lo que digo.
21 No pierdas de vista mis palabras;
guárdalas muy dentro de tu corazón.
22 Ellas dan vida a quienes las hallan;
son la salud del cuerpo.
23 Por encima de todas las cosas cuida tu corazón,
porque de él mana la vida.
24 Aleja de tu boca la perversidad;
aparta de tus labios las palabras corruptas.
25 Pon la mirada en lo que tienes delante;
fija la vista en lo que está frente a ti.
26 Endereza las sendas por donde andas;
allana todos tus caminos.
27 No te desvíes ni a diestra ni a siniestra;
apártate de la maldad.
Proverbs 4
King James Version
4 Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding.
2 For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law.
3 For I was my father's son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother.
4 He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.
5 Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
6 Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.
7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
8 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.
9 She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.
10 Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.
11 I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths.
12 When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.
13 Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.
14 Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men.
15 Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.
16 For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.
17 For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.
18 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.
19 The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.
20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.
25 Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
26 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.
27 Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.
