Пророчество за разрушаване на храма
24 (A)А когато Иисус излезе от храма и тръгна, учениците Му дойдоха, за да Му покажат храмовите сгради. 2 (B)Иисус им рече: „Виждате ли всичко това? Истината ви казвам: няма да остане тук камък върху камък, който да не бъде сринат.“
Пророчество за края на света
3 И когато се намираше на Елеонската планина, дойдоха при Него учениците Му и насаме Го запитаха: „Кажи ни кога ще стане това и какво ще е знамението за Твоето пришествие[a] и за свършека на света?“
4 А Иисус им говори: „Пазете се да не ви измами някой, 5 защото мнозина ще дойдат в Мое име и ще рекат: ‘Аз съм Христос’ – и ще измамят мнозина. 6 (C)Ще чувате да стават войни и да се говори за войни. Но внимавайте, не се обърквайте, понеже всичко това трябва да стане, но то още не е краят. 7 (D)Защото ще въстанат народ против народ и царство против царство, и на места ще има глад, мор и трусове. 8 А всичко това е начало на страдания.
9 (E)Тогава ще ви подлагат на мъчения и ще ви избиват, и ще бъдете мразени от всички народи заради Моето име. 10 Тогава мнозина ще отстъпят от вярата, и един друг ще се предават, и един друг ще се намразят, 11 и много лъжепророци ще се появят и ще измамят мнозина, 12 и понеже беззаконието ще се умножи, у мнозина ще изстине любовта. 13 Но който устои докрай, той ще бъде спасен. 14 И това Евангелие на Божието царство[b] ще бъде проповядвано по целия свят, за свидетелство пред всички народи, и тогава ще дойде краят.
15 (F)И тъй, когато видите да стои на свято място мерзостта на запустението[c], за която е казано чрез пророк Даниил – който чете, нека разбира, – 16 тогава онези, които се намират в Юдея, да бягат в планините, 17 (G)който е на покрива, да не слиза да вземе нещо от къщата си, 18 и който е на нивата, да не се връща назад да вземе дрехата си. 19 Но горко на бременните и на кърмачките през онези дни!

29 (L)И веднага след скръбта на онези дни слънцето ще помръкне и луната няма да праща светлината си, и звездите ще падат от небето, и небесните сили ще се разклатят. 30 (M)Тогава ще се яви на небето знамението на Сина човешки, и тогава ще се разплачат всички земни племена и ще видят Сина човешки да идва на небесните облаци със сила и голяма слава. 31 (N)И ще изпрати ангелите Си с гръмогласна тръба и те ще съберат избраниците Му от четирите посоки на ветровете, от единия до другия край на небесата.

Неизвестност на деня на второто Христово пришествие
36 (O)А за онзи ден и час никой не знае, нито небесните ангели, нито Синът[e], а единствено Отец.
37 (P)(Q)Но както стана в дните на Ной, тъй ще настъпи и пришествието на Сина човешки, 38 защото, както в дните преди потопа ядяха и пиеха, женеха се и се омъжваха до деня, в който Ной влезе в ковчега, 39 (R)и не разбраха нищо, докато не дойде потопът и отнесе всички – тъй ще настъпи и пришествието на Сина човешки. 40 (S)Тогава двама ще бъдат на нива: единия ще вземат, другия ще оставят, 41 две жени ще мелят заедно на мелница: едната ще вземат, другата ще оставят.
42 (T)(U)Затова бъдете будни, понеже не знаете в кой час ще дойде вашият Господ. 43 (V)Знайте и това, че ако стопанинът на къщата знаеше в кой час ще дойде крадецът, той щеше да стои буден и нямаше да го остави да ограби къщата му. 44 (W)Затова бъдете и вие готови, понеже Синът човешки ще дойде в час, когато не очаквате.
За верния и неверния слуга
45 (X)И тъй, кой е верният и благоразумен слуга? Това е онзи, когото господарят е поставил над другите си слуги, за да им раздава навреме храна. 46 Блажен е този слуга, чийто господар, когато дойде, го намери, че постъпва тъй, 47 (Y)истината ви казвам: той ще го постави над целия си имот. 48 Ако пък слугата е лош и рече в сърцето си: ‘Ще се забави господарят ми’ – 49 и започне да бие събратята си и да яде и пие с пияниците, – 50 господарят на този слуга ще дойде в ден, в който той не очаква, и в час, който не знае, 51 и ще го отдели, и ще му наложи наказание като на лицемерите, там ще бъде плач и скърцане със зъби.“

26 Така че, ако ви кажат: „Ето, Месията е в пустинята!“, не отивайте там. Или ако кажат: „Ето, той е във вътрешните стаи!“, не вярвайте. 27 Защото както светкавицата блясва от изток и прорязва небето до запад, така ще бъде и когато дойде Човешкият Син. 28 Където е мършата, там ще се съберат лешоядите.

29 Веднага след скръбта на онези дни
„Слънцето ще стане тъмно,
луната няма да излъчва светлината си,
звездите ще падат от небето
и небесните сили ще се разклатят.“[b]
30 Тогава на небето ще се появи знамението на Човешкия Син. Всички народи по земята ще заридаят и ще видят Човешкия Син като идва на небесните облаци със сила и велика слава. 31 Със звук от гръмогласна тръба той ще изпрати своите ангели да съберат неговите избрани отвсякъде, от единия край на небесата до другия.
32 Вземете поука от смокиновото дърво: когато клоните му омекнат и листата му напъпят, вие знаете, че лятото е близо. 33 По същия начин, когато видите всички тези събития, ще знаете, че завръщането на Човешкия Син е близо, на прага на вратата. 34 Истина ви казвам: това поколение няма да премине, докато не се сбъдне всичко това. 35 Небето и земята ще преминат, но моите думи никога няма да преминат.

45 Кой е довереният и благоразумен слуга? 24 As Jesus was leaving the Temple grounds, his disciples came along and wanted to take him on a tour of the various Temple buildings.
2 But he told them, “All these buildings will be knocked down, with not one stone left on top of another!”
3 “When will this happen?” the disciples asked him later, as he sat on the slopes of the Mount of Olives. “What events will signal your return and the end of the world?”[a]
4 Jesus told them, “Don’t let anyone fool you. 5 For many will come claiming to be the Messiah and will lead many astray. 6 When you hear of wars beginning, this does not signal my return; these must come, but the end is not yet. 7 The nations and kingdoms of the earth will rise against each other, and there will be famines and earthquakes in many places. 8 But all this will be only the beginning of the horrors to come.
9 “Then you will be tortured and killed and hated all over the world because you are mine, 10 and many of you shall fall back into sin and betray and hate each other. 11 And many false prophets will appear and lead many astray. 12 Sin will be rampant everywhere and will cool the love of many. 13 But those enduring to the end shall be saved.
14 “And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it, and then, finally, the end will come.
15 “So, when you see the horrible thing[b] (told about by Daniel the prophet) standing in a holy place (Note to the reader: You know what is meant!), 16 then those in Judea must flee into the Judean hills. 17 Those on their porches[c] must not even go inside to pack before they flee. 18 Those in the fields should not return to their homes for their clothes.
19 “And woe to pregnant women and to those with babies in those days. 20 And pray that your flight will not be in winter, or on the Sabbath.[d] 21 For there will be persecution such as the world has never before seen in all its history and will never see again.
22 “In fact, unless those days are shortened, all mankind will perish. But they will be shortened for the sake of God’s chosen people.[e]
23 “Then if anyone tells you, ‘The Messiah has arrived at such and such a place, or has appeared here or there,’ don’t believe it. 24 For false Christs shall arise, and false prophets, and will do wonderful miracles so that if it were possible, even God’s chosen ones[f] would be deceived. 25 See, I have warned you.
26 “So if someone tells you the Messiah has returned and is out in the desert, don’t bother to go and look. Or, that he is hiding at a certain place, don’t believe it! 27 For as the lightning flashes across the sky from east to west, so shall my coming be, when I, the Messiah,[g] return. 28 And wherever the carcass is, there the vultures will gather.
29 “Immediately after the persecution of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give light, and the stars will seem to fall from the heavens,[h] and the powers overshadowing the earth will be convulsed.
30 “And then at last the signal of my coming[i] will appear in the heavens, and there will be deep mourning all around the earth. And the nations of the world will see me arrive in the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. 31 And I shall send forth my angels with the sound of a mighty trumpet blast, and they shall gather my chosen ones from the farthest ends of the earth and heaven.[j]
32 “Now learn a lesson from the fig tree. When her branch is tender and the leaves begin to sprout, you know that summer is almost here. 33 Just so, when you see all these things beginning to happen, you can know that my return is near,[k] even at the doors. 34 Then at last this age will come to its close.[l]
35 “Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words remain forever. 36 But no one knows the date and hour when the end will be—not even the angels. No, nor even God’s Son.[m] Only the Father knows.
37-38 “The world will be at ease[n] —banquets and parties and weddings—just as it was in Noah’s time before the sudden coming of the Flood; 39 people wouldn’t believe[o] what was going to happen until the Flood actually arrived and took them all away. So shall my coming be.
40 “Two men will be working together in the fields, and one will be taken, the other left. 41 Two women will be going about their household tasks; one will be taken, the other left.
42 “So be prepared, for you don’t know what day your Lord is coming.
43 “Just as a man can prevent trouble from thieves by keeping watch for them, 44 so you can avoid trouble by always being ready for my unannounced return.
45 “Are you a wise and faithful servant of the Lord? Have I given you the task of managing my household, to feed my children day by day? 46 Blessings on you if I return and find you faithfully doing your work. 47 I will put such faithful ones in charge of everything I own!
48 “But if you are evil and say to yourself, ‘My Lord won’t be coming for a while,’ 49 and begin oppressing your fellow servants, partying and getting drunk, 50 your Lord will arrive unannounced and unexpected, 51 and severely whip you and send you off to the judgment of the hypocrites; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

The Destruction of the Temple and Signs of the End Times(A)
24 Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. 2 “Do you see all these things?” he asked. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another;(B) every one will be thrown down.”
3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives,(C) the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming(D) and of the end of the age?”(E)
4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you.(F) 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many.(G) 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.(H) There will be famines(I) and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted(J) and put to death,(K) and you will be hated by all nations because of me.(L) 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets(M) will appear and deceive many people.(N) 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.(O) 14 And this gospel of the kingdom(P) will be preached in the whole world(Q) as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
15 “So when you see standing in the holy place(R) ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’[a](S) spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let no one on the housetop(T) go down to take anything out of the house. 18 Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. 19 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers!(U) 20 Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again.(V)
22 “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect(W) those days will be shortened. 23 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it.(X) 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders(Y) to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time.
26 “So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 For as lightning(Z) that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming(AA) of the Son of Man.(AB) 28 Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.(AC)
29 “Immediately after the distress of those days
“‘the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’[b](AD)
30 “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth[c] will mourn(AE) when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven,(AF) with power and great glory.[d] 31 And he will send his angels(AG) with a loud trumpet call,(AH) and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
32 “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 33 Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it[e] is near, right at the door.(AI) 34 Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.(AJ) 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.(AK)
The Day and Hour Unknown(AL)(AM)
36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,[f] but only the Father.(AN) 37 As it was in the days of Noah,(AO) so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage,(AP) up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.(AQ) 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left.(AR) 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.(AS)
42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.(AT) 43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming,(AU) he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 So you also must be ready,(AV) because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
45 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant,(AW) whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46 It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns.(AX) 47 Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions.(AY) 48 But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’ 49 and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards.(AZ) 50 The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. 51 He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.(BA)

9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
25 Behold, I have told you before.
26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
