1 Родословието на Исуса Христа, син на Давида, син на Авраама.
2 Авраам роди Исаака; Исаак роди Якова; Яков роди Юда и братята му;
3 Юда роди Фареса и Зара от Тамар; Фарес роди Есрона; Есрон роди Арама;
4 Арам роди Аминадава; Аминадав роди Наасона; Наасон роди Салмона;
5 Салмон роди Вооза от Рахав; Вооз роди Овида от Рут; Овид роди Есея;
6 а Есей роди цар Давида. Давид роди Соломона от Уриевата жена;
7 Соломон роди Ровоама; Ровоам роди Авия; Авия роди Аса;
8 Аса роди Иосафата; Иосафат роди Иорама; Иорам роди Озия;
9 Озия роди Иотама; Иотам роди Ахаза; Ахаз роди Езекия;

16 а Яков роди Иосифа, мъжа на Мария, от която се роди Исус, Който се нарича Христос { Помазаник, или, Месия.}.
17 И така, всичките родове от Авраама до Давида са четиринадесет; от Давида до преселението във Вавилон, четиринадесет рода; и от преселението във Вавилон до Христа, четиринадесет рода.
18 А рождението на Исуса Христа {Помазаника.}биде така: след като бе сгодена майка му Мария за Иосифа, преди да бяха се съединили тя се намери непразна от Светия Дух.
19 А мъжът й Иосиф, понеже беше праведен, а пък не искаше да я изложи, намисли да я напусне тайно.
20 Но, когато мислеше това, ето, ангел от Господа му се яви насъне и каза: Иосифе, сине Давидов, не бой се да вземеш жена си Мария; защото зачнатото в нея е от Светия Дух.
21 Тя ще роди син, когото ще наречеш Исус {Спасител.}; защото Той е Който ще спаси людете Си от греховете им.
22 А всичко това стана за да се сбъдне реченото от Господа чрез пророка който казва:
23 "Ето девицата ще зачне и ще роди син; И ще го нарекат Емануил" (което значи, Бог с нас).
24 И тъй, Иосиф, като стана от сън, стори както му заповяда ангелът от Господа и взе жена си;
25 но не я познаваше докато тя роди [първородния си] син; и нарече го Исус.

1 ¶ Libro de la generación de Jesús, el Cristo, hijo de David, hijo de Abraham.
2 Abraham engendró a Isaac; e Isaac engendró a Jacob; y Jacob engendró a Judá y a sus hermanos.
3 Y Judá engendró de Tamar a Fares y a Zara; y Fares engendró a Esrom; y Esrom engendró a Aram.
4 Y Aram engendró a Aminadab; y Aminadab engendró a Naasón; y Naasón engendró a Salmón.
5 Y Salmón engendró de Rahab a Booz, y Booz engendró de Rut a Obed y Obed engendró a Jessé.
6 Y Jessé engendró al rey David; y el rey David engendró a Salomón de la que fue mujer de Urías:
7 Y Salomón engendró a Roboam; y Roboam engendró a Abías; y Abías engendró a Asa.
8 Y Asa engendró a Josafat; y Josafat engendró a Joram; y Joram engendró a Uzías.
9 Y Uzías engendró a Jotam; y Jotam engendró a Acaz; y Acaz engendró a Ezequías.
10 Y Ezequías engendró a Manasés; y Manasés engendró a Amón; y Amón engendró a Josías.
11 Y Josías engendró a Jeconías y a sus hermanos, en el tiempo de la transmigración de Babilonia.
12 Y después de la transmigración de Babilonia, Jeconías engendró a Salatiel; y Salatiel engendró a Zorobabel.
13 Y Zorobabel engendró a Abiud; y Abiud engendró a Eliaquim; y Eliaquim engendró a Azor.
14 Y Azor engendró a Sadoc; y Sadoc engendró a Aquim; y Aquim engendró a Eliud.
15 Y Eliud engendró a Eleazar; y Eleazar engendró a Matán; y Matán engendró a Jacob.
16 Y Jacob engendró a José, marido de María, de la cual nació Jesús, el cual es llamado, el Cristo.
17 De manera que todas las generaciones desde Abraham hasta David son catorce generaciones; y desde David hasta la transmigración de Babilonia, catorce generaciones; y desde la transmigración de Babilonia hasta el Cristo, catorce generaciones.
18 ¶ Y el nacimiento de Jesús, el Cristo, fue así: Que siendo María su madre desposada con José, antes que se juntara, se halló que había concebido del Espíritu Santo.
19 Y José su marido, como era justo, y no queriendo infamarla, quiso dejarla secretamente.
20 Y pensando él en esto, he aquí el ángel del Señor se le aparece en sueños, diciendo: José, hijo de David, no temas de recibir a María tu mujer, porque lo que en ella es engendrado, del Espíritu Santo es.
21 Y dará a luz un hijo, y llamarás su nombre JESÚS, porque él salvará a su pueblo de sus pecados.
22 Todo esto aconteció para que se cumpliera lo que fue dicho por el Señor, por el profeta que dijo:
23 He aquí una Virgen concebirá y dará a luz un hijo, y llamarás su nombre Emmanuel, que es, si lo declaras: Dios con nosotros.
24 Y siendo despertado José del sueño, hizo como el ángel del Señor le había mandado, y recibió a su mujer.
25 Y no la conoció hasta que dio a luz a su hijo Primogénito; y llamó su nombre JESÚS.

2 Abraham was the father of Isaac,(F)
Isaac the father of Jacob,(G)
Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers,(H)
3 Judah the father of Perez and Zerah, whose mother was Tamar,(I)
Perez the father of Hezron,
Hezron the father of Ram,
4 Ram the father of Amminadab,
Amminadab the father of Nahshon,
Nahshon the father of Salmon,
5 Salmon the father of Boaz, whose mother was Rahab,(J)
Boaz the father of Obed, whose mother was Ruth,
Obed the father of Jesse,
6 and Jesse the father of King David.(K)
David was the father of Solomon, whose mother had been Uriah’s wife,(L)
7 Solomon the father of Rehoboam,
Rehoboam the father of Abijah,
Abijah the father of Asa,
8 Asa the father of Jehoshaphat,
Jehoshaphat the father of Jehoram,
Jehoram the father of Uzziah,
9 Uzziah the father of Jotham,
Jotham the father of Ahaz,
Ahaz the father of Hezekiah,
10 Hezekiah the father of Manasseh,(M)
Manasseh the father of Amon,
Amon the father of Josiah,
11 and Josiah the father of Jeconiah[c] and his brothers at the time of the exile to Babylon.(N)
12 After the exile to Babylon:
Jeconiah was the father of Shealtiel,(O)
Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel,(P)
13 Zerubbabel the father of Abihud,
Abihud the father of Eliakim,
Eliakim the father of Azor,
14 Azor the father of Zadok,
Zadok the father of Akim,
Akim the father of Elihud,
15 Elihud the father of Eleazar,
Eleazar the father of Matthan,
Matthan the father of Jacob,
16 and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary,(Q) and Mary was the mother of Jesus who is called the Messiah.(R)
17 Thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Messiah.
Joseph Accepts Jesus as His Son
18 This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about[d]: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit.(S) 19 Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet[e] did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce(T) her quietly.
20 But after he had considered this, an angel(U) of the Lord appeared to him in a dream(V) and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus,[f](W) because he will save his people from their sins.”(X)
22 All this took place to fulfill(Y) what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23 “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”[g](Z) (which means “God with us”).
24 When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel(AA) of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. 25 But he did not consummate their marriage until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.(AB)
