Излечење одузетога
(Мт 9,1-8; Лк 5,17-26)
2 Неколико дана касније, када је Исус опет ушао у Кафарнаум, прочуло се у чијој је кући, 2 па се толико људи окупило да није било места чак ни пред вратима. А он им је проповедао Реч.
3 Тада неки дођоше носећи му једног одузетога; носила су га четворица. 4 Али, пошто од народа нису могли да му га принесу, направише отвор на крову изнад места где је био Исус, па кад су прокопали кроз њега, спустише простирку на којој је одузети лежао.
5 Када је Исус видео њихову веру, рече одузетоме: »Синко, опраштају ти се греси.«
6 А тамо је седело неколико учитеља закона и мислило: 7 »Шта то овај говори? Хули! Ко, осим јединога Бога, може да опрашта грехе?«
8 Исус одмах својим духом проникну да тако мисле, па им рече: »Зашто тако мислите? 9 Шта је лакше? Рећи одузетоме: ‚Опраштају ти се греси‘ или рећи: ‚Устани, узми своју простирку и ходај‘? 10 Али, да знате да Син човечији има власт на земљи да опрашта грехе…« Онда рече одузетоме: 11 »Теби говорим! Устани, узми своју простирку и иди кући.«
12 И човек устаде, одмах узе простирку и свима наочиглед изађе напоље.
Сви се задивише и почеше да славе Бога, говорећи: »Тако нешто још никад нисмо видели!«
Исус позива Левија
(Мт 9,9-13; Лк 5,27-32)
13 Потом Исус опет изађе на море, а сав народ му је долазио и он их је учио. 14 Пролазећи, Исус виде Левија Алфејевог како седи на царинарници, па му рече: »Пођи за мном.«
И овај устаде и пође за њим.
15 Док је Исус обедовао у Левијевој кући, с њим и с његовим ученицима су обедовали и многи цариници и грешници, јер је било много оних који су пошли за њим.
16 Када су неки учитељи закона, фарисеји, видели да једе са грешницима и цариницима, упиташе његове ученике: »Зашто он једе с цариницима и грешницима?«
17 А Исус је то чуо, па им рече: »Није здравима потребан лекар, већ болеснима. Ја нисам дошао да позовем праведнике, него грешнике.«
Пост
(Мт 9,14-17; Лк 5,33-39)
18 Јованови ученици и фарисеји су постили. Неки дођоше и упиташе Исуса: »Како то да Јованови ученици и фарисејски ученици посте, а твоји ученици не посте?«
19 А Исус им рече: »Могу ли сватови да посте док је младожења с њима? Све док је младожења с њима, они не могу да посте. 20 Али, доћи ће време када ће им отети младожењу, и тада ће постити.
21 »Нико не пришива закрпу од сировог сукна на стари огртач. Ако то уради, нова закрпа ће се отргнути од старе одеће и рупа ће постати још већа. 22 И нико не сипа ново вино у старе мешине. Ако то учини, вино ће поцепати мешине, па ће и вино и мешине пропасти. Него, ново вино у нове мешине.«
Господар суботе
(Мт 12,1-8; Лк 6,1-5)
23 Када је Исус једне суботе пролазио кроз житна поља, његови ученици почеше уз пут да кидају класове.
24 Тада му фарисеји рекоше: »Гледај, чине оно што не сме да се чини у суботу!«
25 »Зар нисте никад читали«, упита их он, »шта је Давид из нужде учинио кад су он и његови пратиоци огладнели? 26 Ушао је у Божији дом – тада је Авијатар био првосвештеник – и јео свете хлебове, које не сме да једе нико осим свештеникâ, и дао и својим пратиоцима?«
27 Онда им рече: »Субота је створена ради човека, а не човек ради суботе. 28 Тако је Син човечији господар и суботе.«

Исус исцељује одузетог човека
2 После неколико дана, Исус се вратио у Кафарнаум. Људи су то дочули, 2 па су се у толиком броју сјатили у кућу где је Исус био, да ни пред вратима више није било места. Исус им је онда објављивао своје учење. 3 Уто дођу четворица људи носећи једног одузетог човека. 4 Пошто због мноштва нису могли да га донесу пред Исуса, направили су отвор на крову изнад места где је био Исус, кроз који су спустили носила на којима је лежао одузети. 5 Исус, видевши њихову веру, рече одузетоме: „Синко, опраштају ти се греси!“
6 Ту су седели и неки од зналаца Светог писма и размишљали у себи: 7 „Шта то овај прича? Он вређа Бога! Ко може опраштати грехе осим самога Бога?“
8 Исус је својим духом одмах прозрео њихово умовање, па их је упитао: „Зашто овако размишљате у срцу? 9 Шта је лакше рећи одузетоме: ’Твоји греси су опроштени’ или: ’Устани, узми своја носила и ходај?’ 10 Али, да знате: Син Човечији има власт да опрашта грехе на земљи.“ Онда рече одузетоме: 11 „Теби кажем: устани, узми своја носила и иди својој кући!“ 12 Одузети се истог тренутка подиже и на очиглед свег народа узе своја носила и оде. Задивљени тиме, људи су славили Бога и говорили: „Ово још никада нисмо видели!“
Исус једе са грешницима у Матејевој кући
13 Исус је поново отишао до обале Галилејског језера. Велико мноштво људи је кренуло за њим и он их је тада поучавао. 14 Једном је у пролазу опазио Левија, Алфејевог сина, порезника, како седи на месту за прикупљање пореза. Исус му рече: „Пођи за мном!“ Он устаде и пође за Исусом.
15 Касније је Исус обедовао у Левијевој кући. Ту је било и много порезника и других грешника који су обедовали заједно са Исусом и његовим ученицима. Наиме, било је много оних који су га следили. 16 Неки од зналаца Светог писма који су били фарисеји, видевши да Исус обедује са грешницима и порезницима, упиташе његове ученике: „Зар он једе са порезницима и другим грешницима?“ 17 Исус је то чуо, па им је одговорио: „Лекар не треба здравима, него болеснима. Ја нисам дошао да позовем праведнике, већ грешнике.“
Религиозне вође питају Исуса о посту
18 Једном приликом су Јованови ученици и фарисеји постили. Неки људи дођу к Исусу и упитају га: „Зашто Јованови ученици и ученици фарисеја посте, а твоји ученици не посте?“
19 Исус им одговори: „Зар могу сватови постити, док је младожења са њима? Све док је он са њима, они неће постити. 20 Ипак, доћи ће дани када ће им отети младожењу. Тог дана ће постити.
21 Нико не крпи стару одећу закрпом од нове, прањем још нескупљене тканине. У том случају нова закрпа дере стару тканину и настаје већа подеротина. 22 Такође, нико не улива ново вино у старе мехове, јер ће стари мехови попуцати од врења новога вина, па ће тако пропасти и мехови и вино. Зато, ново вино иде у нове мехове.“
Тргање класја у суботу
23 Једне суботе је Исус пролазио кроз житна поља. Његови ученици су идући тргали класје. 24 Фарисеји упиташе Исуса: „Погледај! Зашто твоји ученици чине оно што не сме да се чини суботом?“
25 Исус узврати: „Зар никада нисте читали шта је Давид учинио када се нашао у оскудици и када је огладнео, он и његови пратиоци? 26 Он је за време Првосвештеника Авијатара ушао у Дом Божији и јео постављене хлебове. По Закону, нико не сме да једе овај хлеб осим свештеника̂, а Давид га је дао чак и својим пратиоцима.

Jesus Forgives and Heals a Paralytic(A)
2 And again (B)He entered Capernaum after some days, and it was heard that He was in the house. 2 [a]Immediately many gathered together, so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. And He preached the word to them. 3 Then they came to Him, bringing a (C)paralytic who was carried by four men. 4 And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying.
5 When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”
6 And some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts, 7 “Why does this Man speak blasphemies like this? (D)Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
8 But immediately, when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, He said to them, “Why do you reason about these things in your hearts? 9 (E)Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise, take up your bed and walk’? 10 But that you may know that the Son of Man has [b]power on earth to forgive sins”—He said to the paralytic, 11 “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” 12 Immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and (F)glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”
Matthew the Tax Collector(G)
13 (H)Then He went out again by the sea; and all the multitude came to Him, and He taught them. 14 (I)As He passed by, He saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, (J)“Follow Me.” So he arose and (K)followed Him.
15 (L)Now it happened, as He was dining in Levi’s house, that many tax collectors and sinners also sat together with Jesus and His disciples; for there were many, and they followed Him. 16 And when the scribes [c]and Pharisees saw Him eating with the tax collectors and sinners, they said to His disciples, “How is it that He eats and drinks with tax collectors and sinners?”
17 When Jesus heard it, He said to them, (M)“Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, [d]to repentance.”
Jesus Is Questioned About Fasting(N)
18 (O)The disciples of John and of the Pharisees were fasting. Then they came and said to Him, “Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast, but Your disciples do not fast?”
19 And Jesus said to them, “Can the [e]friends of the bridegroom fast while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them they cannot fast. 20 But the days will come when the bridegroom will be (P)taken away from them, and then they will fast in those days. 21 No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; or else the new piece pulls away from the old, and the tear is made worse. 22 And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine bursts the wineskins, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins.”
Jesus Is Lord of the Sabbath(Q)
23 (R)Now it happened that He went through the grainfields on the Sabbath; and as they went His disciples began (S)to pluck the heads of grain. 24 And the Pharisees said to Him, “Look, why do they do what is (T)not lawful on the Sabbath?”
25 But He said to them, “Have you never read (U)what David did when he was in need and hungry, he and those with him: 26 how he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the showbread, (V)which is not lawful to eat except for the priests, and also gave some to those who were with him?”
27 And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the (W)Sabbath. 28 Therefore (X)the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.”

Jesus Forgives and Heals a Paralyzed Man(A)
2 A few days later, when Jesus again entered Capernaum, the people heard that he had come home. 2 They gathered in such large numbers(B) that there was no room left, not even outside the door, and he preached the word to them. 3 Some men came, bringing to him a paralyzed man,(C) carried by four of them. 4 Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on. 5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”(D)
6 Now some teachers of the law were sitting there, thinking to themselves, 7 “Why does this fellow talk like that? He’s blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”(E)
8 Immediately Jesus knew in his spirit that this was what they were thinking in their hearts, and he said to them, “Why are you thinking these things? 9 Which is easier: to say to this paralyzed man, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, take your mat and walk’? 10 But I want you to know that the Son of Man(F) has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the man, 11 “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.” 12 He got up, took his mat and walked out in full view of them all. This amazed everyone and they praised God,(G) saying, “We have never seen anything like this!”(H)
Jesus Calls Levi and Eats With Sinners(I)
13 Once again Jesus went out beside the lake. A large crowd came to him,(J) and he began to teach them. 14 As he walked along, he saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow me,”(K) Jesus told him, and Levi got up and followed him.
15 While Jesus was having dinner at Levi’s house, many tax collectors and sinners were eating with him and his disciples, for there were many who followed him. 16 When the teachers of the law who were Pharisees(L) saw him eating with the sinners and tax collectors, they asked his disciples: “Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?”(M)
17 On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”(N)
Jesus Questioned About Fasting(O)
18 Now John’s disciples and the Pharisees were fasting.(P) Some people came and asked Jesus, “How is it that John’s disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees are fasting, but yours are not?”
19 Jesus answered, “How can the guests of the bridegroom fast while he is with them? They cannot, so long as they have him with them. 20 But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them,(Q) and on that day they will fast.
21 “No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. Otherwise, the new piece will pull away from the old, making the tear worse. 22 And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins.”
Jesus Is Lord of the Sabbath(R)(S)
23 One Sabbath Jesus was going through the grainfields, and as his disciples walked along, they began to pick some heads of grain.(T) 24 The Pharisees said to him, “Look, why are they doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?”(U)
25 He answered, “Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry and in need? 26 In the days of Abiathar the high priest,(V) he entered the house of God and ate the consecrated bread, which is lawful only for priests to eat.(W) And he also gave some to his companions.”(X)
27 Then he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man,(Y) not man for the Sabbath.(Z) 28 So the Son of Man(AA) is Lord even of the Sabbath.”
