32 У дванаестој години, дванаестог месеца, првог дана у месецу, дође ми реч Господња: 2 „Сине човечији, испевај тужбалицу за фараоном, египатским царем, и реци му:
’Ти што сматраш себе лавићем народа!
Ти си као неман у мору,
хараш у својим рекама,
ногама воду таласаш,
и реке њихове мутиш!
3 Говори Господ Бог:
Разапећу своју мрежу преко тебе
са збором многих народа;
они ће те извући у мојој мрежи.
4 Оставићу те на земљи,
бацићу те на пољану,
даћу те птицама небеским,
и све дивље звери на земљи
тобом ћу наситити.
5 Тело ћу ти разбацати по горама,
испунићу долине остацима твојим.
6 Натопићу земљу крвљу твојом истеклом,
речна ће корита бити пуна твога меса.
7 А кад те угасим, застрећу небеса,
и помрачити звезде њихове.
Сунце ћу прекрити облацима,
а месец неће више давати своју светлост.
8 Помрачићу над тобом сва сјајна светлила,
и прекрити тамом твоју земљу – говори Господ Бог.
9 Испунићу бригом срца многих народа,
кад донесем твоје изломљене остатке међу народе,
у земље које не познајеш.
10 Ужасом ћу испунити многе народе,
а њихови ће се цареви згражати над тобом,
кад завитлам својим мачем пред њима.
У дан твог пада сваки ће човек
све време страховати за свој живот.
11 Јер говори Господ Бог:
Мач вавилонског цара ће те сустићи.
12 Твоје ћу мноштво побити мачевима моћних –
најокрутнијима међу свим народима.
Они ће уништити понос Египту
и истребити све његово мноштво.
13 Ја ћу побити сву његову стоку
крај обилних вода.
Људска их нога више неће мутити,
нити ће их мутити животињски папак.
14 Тада ћу умирити њихове воде,
и учинити да њихове реке теку као уље
– говори Господ Бог.
15 Кад опустошим земљу египатску
и кад земља остане без ичега у њој,
када ударим све његове становнике,
тада ће знати да сам ја Господ.’
16 Ово је тужбалица која ће се нарицати. Ћерке народа ће је нарицати; нарицаће је за Египтом и за свим његовим мноштвом – говори Господ Бог.“

32 Првога дана дванаестог месеца дванаесте године, дође ми реч ГОСПОДЊА: 2 »Сине човечији, запевај тужбалицу за фараоном, царем Египта, и реци му:
»‚Ти си као лав међу народима.
Ти си као крокодил,
који пљуска по својим рекама,
ногама бућка воду и замућује реке.
3 »‚Овако каже Господ ГОСПОД:
»‚Ево, разапећу своју мрежу над тобом
када се окупе многи народи,
и они ће те извући мојом мрежом.
4 Бацићу те на земљу
и треснути те о ледину.
Пустићу све птице да слете на тебе
и све звери нахранити тобом.
5 Развући ћу твоје месо по горама
и напунити долине твојом стрвином.
6 Источићу ти крв на земљу и њоме натопити горе
и клисуре ће се њоме испунити.
7 А када ти угасим живот,
прекрићу небеса и затамнити им звезде.
Сунце ћу заклонити облаком,
а месец неће одавати светлост.
8 Затамнићу над тобом
сва блистава светла на небесима
и тамом ти прекрити земљу,
говори Господ ГОСПОД.
9 »‚Многи народи ће се узнемирити када објавим твоје уништење међу народима, у земљама за које ниси ни знао. 10 Многи народи ће бити згрожени оним што те снашло, а њихови ће цареви дрхтати од ужаса када узмахнем својим мачем пред њима. На дан твога пада сваки ће од њих стрепети за свој живот.
11 »‚Јер овако каже Господ ГОСПОД: Мач вавилонског цара доћи ће на тебе. 12 Учинићу да мноштво твога народа падне од мача ратникâ из најбезочнијих народа. Они ће скршити охолост Египта и затрти све мноштво његовог народа. 13 Затрћу сву његову стоку поред обилних вода, које више неће узбуркати човечија нога ни узмутити папак говечета. 14 Тада ћу пустити да му се воде смире и учинити да његове реке теку попут уља, говори Господ ГОСПОД.
15 »‚Када опустошим Египат и оголим земљу од свега што је на њој, када побијем све који тамо живе, тада ће знати да сам ја ГОСПОД. 16 Ово је тужбалица која ће се певати за њим. Певаће је кћери разних народа. Певаће је за Египтом и свим мноштвом његовог народа, говори Господ ГОСПОД.‘«
17 Петнаестога дана … месеца[a] дванаесте године, дође ми реч ГОСПОДЊА: 18 »Сине човечији, закукај за мноштвом египатског народа и пошаљи га у Подземље заједно с кћерима моћних народа, с онима који силазе у гробну јаму. 19 Реци им ‚Зар сте у већој милости од других? Сиђите и лезите међу необрезане.‘ 20 Они ће пасти међу оне који су погинули од мача. Мач је исукан. Нека Египат буде одвучен са свим мноштвом свога народа. 21 Из средишта Шеола највећи ратници говоре о Египту и његовим савезницима: ‚Сишли су овамо и леже с необрезанима, с онима који су побијени мачем.‘

32 And it came to pass in the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, in the first day of the month, that the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, take up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say unto him, Thou art like a young lion of the nations, and thou art as a whale in the seas: and thou camest forth with thy rivers, and troubledst the waters with thy feet, and fouledst their rivers.
3 Thus saith the Lord God; I will therefore spread out my net over thee with a company of many people; and they shall bring thee up in my net.
4 Then will I leave thee upon the land, I will cast thee forth upon the open field, and will cause all the fowls of the heaven to remain upon thee, and I will fill the beasts of the whole earth with thee.
5 And I will lay thy flesh upon the mountains, and fill the valleys with thy height.
6 I will also water with thy blood the land wherein thou swimmest, even to the mountains; and the rivers shall be full of thee.
7 And when I shall put thee out, I will cover the heaven, and make the stars thereof dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give her light.
8 All the bright lights of heaven will I make dark over thee, and set darkness upon thy land, saith the Lord God.
9 I will also vex the hearts of many people, when I shall bring thy destruction among the nations, into the countries which thou hast not known.
10 Yea, I will make many people amazed at thee, and their kings shall be horribly afraid for thee, when I shall brandish my sword before them; and they shall tremble at every moment, every man for his own life, in the day of thy fall.
11 For thus saith the Lord God; The sword of the king of Babylon shall come upon thee.
12 By the swords of the mighty will I cause thy multitude to fall, the terrible of the nations, all of them: and they shall spoil the pomp of Egypt, and all the multitude thereof shall be destroyed.
13 I will destroy also all the beasts thereof from beside the great waters; neither shall the foot of man trouble them any more, nor the hoofs of beasts trouble them.
14 Then will I make their waters deep, and cause their rivers to run like oil, saith the Lord God.
15 When I shall make the land of Egypt desolate, and the country shall be destitute of that whereof it was full, when I shall smite all them that dwell therein, then shall they know that I am the Lord.
16 This is the lamentation wherewith they shall lament her: the daughters of the nations shall lament her: they shall lament for her, even for Egypt, and for all her multitude, saith the Lord God.
17 It came to pass also in the twelfth year, in the fifteenth day of the month, that the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
18 Son of man, wail for the multitude of Egypt, and cast them down, even her, and the daughters of the famous nations, unto the nether parts of the earth, with them that go down into the pit.
19 Whom dost thou pass in beauty? go down, and be thou laid with the uncircumcised.
20 They shall fall in the midst of them that are slain by the sword: she is delivered to the sword: draw her and all her multitudes.
21 The strong among the mighty shall speak to him out of the midst of hell with them that help him: they are gone down, they lie uncircumcised, slain by the sword.
22 Asshur is there and all her company: his graves are about him: all of them slain, fallen by the sword:
23 Whose graves are set in the sides of the pit, and her company is round about her grave: all of them slain, fallen by the sword, which caused terror in the land of the living.
24 There is Elam and all her multitude round about her grave, all of them slain, fallen by the sword, which are gone down uncircumcised into the nether parts of the earth, which caused their terror in the land of the living; yet have they borne their shame with them that go down to the pit.
25 They have set her a bed in the midst of the slain with all her multitude: her graves are round about him: all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword: though their terror was caused in the land of the living, yet have they borne their shame with them that go down to the pit: he is put in the midst of them that be slain.
26 There is Meshech, Tubal, and all her multitude: her graves are round about him: all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword, though they caused their terror in the land of the living.
27 And they shall not lie with the mighty that are fallen of the uncircumcised, which are gone down to hell with their weapons of war: and they have laid their swords under their heads, but their iniquities shall be upon their bones, though they were the terror of the mighty in the land of the living.
28 Yea, thou shalt be broken in the midst of the uncircumcised, and shalt lie with them that are slain with the sword.
29 There is Edom, her kings, and all her princes, which with their might are laid by them that were slain by the sword: they shall lie with the uncircumcised, and with them that go down to the pit.
30 There be the princes of the north, all of them, and all the Zidonians, which are gone down with the slain; with their terror they are ashamed of their might; and they lie uncircumcised with them that be slain by the sword, and bear their shame with them that go down to the pit.
31 Pharaoh shall see them, and shall be comforted over all his multitude, even Pharaoh and all his army slain by the sword, saith the Lord God.
32 For I have caused my terror in the land of the living: and he shall be laid in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that are slain with the sword, even Pharaoh and all his multitude, saith the Lord God.

A Lament Over Pharaoh
32 In the twelfth year, in the twelfth month on the first day, the word of the Lord came to me:(A) 2 “Son of man, take up a lament(B) concerning Pharaoh king of Egypt and say to him:
“‘You are like a lion(C) among the nations;
you are like a monster(D) in the seas(E)
thrashing about in your streams,
churning the water with your feet
and muddying the streams.(F)
3 “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says:
“‘With a great throng of people
I will cast my net over you,
and they will haul you up in my net.(G)
4 I will throw you on the land
and hurl you on the open field.
I will let all the birds of the sky settle on you
and all the animals of the wild gorge themselves on you.(H)
5 I will spread your flesh on the mountains
and fill the valleys(I) with your remains.
6 I will drench the land with your flowing blood(J)
all the way to the mountains,
and the ravines will be filled with your flesh.(K)
7 When I snuff you out, I will cover the heavens
and darken their stars;
I will cover the sun with a cloud,
and the moon will not give its light.(L)
8 All the shining lights in the heavens
I will darken(M) over you;
I will bring darkness over your land,(N)
declares the Sovereign Lord.
9 I will trouble the hearts of many peoples
when I bring about your destruction among the nations,
among[a] lands you have not known.
10 I will cause many peoples to be appalled at you,
and their kings will shudder with horror because of you
when I brandish my sword(O) before them.
On the day(P) of your downfall
each of them will tremble
every moment for his life.(Q)
11 “‘For this is what the Sovereign Lord says:
“‘The sword(R) of the king of Babylon(S)
will come against you.(T)
12 I will cause your hordes to fall
by the swords of mighty men—
the most ruthless of all nations.(U)
They will shatter the pride of Egypt,
and all her hordes will be overthrown.(V)
13 I will destroy all her cattle
from beside abundant waters
no longer to be stirred by the foot of man
or muddied by the hooves of cattle.(W)
14 Then I will let her waters settle
and make her streams flow like oil,
declares the Sovereign Lord.
15 When I make Egypt desolate
and strip the land of everything in it,
when I strike down all who live there,
then they will know that I am the Lord.(X)’
16 “This is the lament(Y) they will chant for her. The daughters of the nations will chant it; for Egypt and all her hordes they will chant it, declares the Sovereign Lord.”
Egypt’s Descent Into the Realm of the Dead
17 In the twelfth year, on the fifteenth day of the month, the word of the Lord came to me:(Z) 18 “Son of man, wail for the hordes of Egypt and consign(AA) to the earth below both her and the daughters of mighty nations, along with those who go down to the pit.(AB) 19 Say to them, ‘Are you more favored than others? Go down and be laid among the uncircumcised.’(AC) 20 They will fall among those killed by the sword. The sword is drawn; let her be dragged(AD) off with all her hordes.(AE) 21 From within the realm of the dead(AF) the mighty leaders will say of Egypt and her allies, ‘They have come down and they lie with the uncircumcised,(AG) with those killed by the sword.’
22 “Assyria is there with her whole army; she is surrounded by the graves of all her slain, all who have fallen by the sword. 23 Their graves are in the depths of the pit(AH) and her army lies around her grave.(AI) All who had spread terror in the land of the living are slain, fallen by the sword.
24 “Elam(AJ) is there, with all her hordes around her grave. All of them are slain, fallen by the sword.(AK) All who had spread terror in the land of the living(AL) went down uncircumcised to the earth below. They bear their shame with those who go down to the pit.(AM) 25 A bed is made for her among the slain, with all her hordes around her grave. All of them are uncircumcised,(AN) killed by the sword. Because their terror had spread in the land of the living, they bear their shame with those who go down to the pit; they are laid among the slain.
26 “Meshek and Tubal(AO) are there, with all their hordes around their graves. All of them are uncircumcised, killed by the sword because they spread their terror in the land of the living. 27 But they do not lie with the fallen warriors of old,[b](AP) who went down to the realm of the dead with their weapons of war—their swords placed under their heads and their shields[c] resting on their bones—though these warriors also had terrorized the land of the living.
28 “You too, Pharaoh, will be broken and will lie among the uncircumcised, with those killed by the sword.
29 “Edom(AQ) is there, her kings and all her princes; despite their power, they are laid with those killed by the sword. They lie with the uncircumcised, with those who go down to the pit.(AR)
30 “All the princes of the north(AS) and all the Sidonians(AT) are there; they went down with the slain in disgrace despite the terror caused by their power. They lie uncircumcised(AU) with those killed by the sword and bear their shame with those who go down to the pit.(AV)
31 “Pharaoh—he and all his army—will see them and he will be consoled(AW) for all his hordes that were killed by the sword, declares the Sovereign Lord. 32 Although I had him spread terror in the land of the living, Pharaoh(AX) and all his hordes will be laid among the uncircumcised, with those killed by the sword, declares the Sovereign Lord.”(AY)
