²⁰ When they came to the nations, wherever they went, they ^(A)profaned My holy name—when they said of them, ‘These are the people of the Lord, and yet they have gone out of His land.’

^8 (A)When they set their threshold by My threshold, and their doorpost by My doorpost, with a wall between them and Me, they defiled My holy name by the abominations which they committed; therefore I have consumed them in My anger.
