Города для левитов(A)
21 Главы левитских семейств пришли к священнослужителю Элеазару, к Иешуа, сыну Нуна, и к главам остальных семейств в родах Исраила 2 в Шило в Ханаане и сказали им:
– Вечный повелел через Мусу, чтобы нам дали города для жительства с пастбищами для нашего скота.
3 И по повелению Вечного исраильтяне дали левитам следующие города и пастбища из своих наделов:
4 Первый жребий выпал каафитам, по их кланам. Левитам, которые были потомками священнослужителя Харуна, досталось тринадцать городов от родов Иуды, Шимона и Вениамина. 5 Остальные потомки Каафы получили по жребию десять городов от кланов, принадлежащих родам Ефраима, Дана и половине рода Манассы.
6 Потомкам Гершона досталось тринадцать городов от кланов, принадлежащих родам Иссахара, Ашира и Неффалима и половине рода Манассы в Башане.
7 Потомки Мерари, по их кланам, получили двенадцать городов от родов Рувима, Гада и Завулона.
8 Так исраильтяне выделили левитам эти города и пастбища, как повелел через Мусу Вечный.
9 От родов Иуды и Шимона дали следующие города, упоминаемые по названию 10 (эти города были предназначены потомкам священнослужителя Харуна из каафитских кланов левитов, потому что им выпал первый жребий):
11 Они дали им город Кириат-Арбу (то есть Хеврон) с его окрестными пастбищами в нагорьях Иуды. (Арба был отцом Анака.) 12 Но поля и поселения вокруг города были отданы во владение Халеву, сыну Иефоннии.

23 А от рода Дана они получили Элтеке, Гиббетон, 24 Аялон и Гат-Риммон с их пастбищами – четыре города.
25 От половины рода Манассы они получили Таанах и Гат-Риммон с их пастбищами – два города.
26 Все эти города с их пастбищами были даны остальным каафитским кланам.
27 Гершонитским кланам левитов дали
от половины рода Манассы: Голан, что в Башане (город-убежище для обвиняемого в убийстве), и Беэштера с их пастбищами – два города;
28 от рода Иссахара: Кишион, Даверат, 29 Иармут и Ен-Ганним с их пастбищами – четыре города;
30 от рода Ашира: Мишал, Авдон, 31 Хелкат и Рехов с их пастбищами – четыре города;
32 от рода Неффалима: Кедеш, что в Галилее (город-убежище для обвиняемого в убийстве), Хаммот-Дор и Картан с их пастбищами – три города.
33 Всего у гершонитских кланов было тринадцать городов с пастбищами.
34 Мераритским кланам (остальным левитам) дали
от рода Завулона: Иокнеам, Карту, 35 Димну и Нахалал с их пастбищами – четыре города;
36 от рода Рувима: Бецер, Иахац, 37 Кедемот и Мефаат с их пастбищами – четыре города;
38 от рода Гада: Рамот, что в Галааде (город-убежище для обвиняемого в убийстве), Маханаим, 39 Хешбон и Иазер с их пастбищами – всего четыре города.
40 Всего городов, доставшихся мераритским кланам, остальным левитам, было двенадцать.
41 Всего в земельных владениях исраильтян было сорок восемь левитских городов с их пастбищами. 42 Вокруг каждого из этих городов были пастбища. Так было вокруг всех этих городов.
43 Так Вечный отдал исраильтянам всю землю, которую Он клялся дать их предкам, и они завладели ею и поселились там. 44 Вечный дал им покой со всех сторон, как Он и клялся их предкам. 21 1-2 利未人的眾族長到迦南的示羅見祭司以利亞撒、嫩的兒子約書亞和以色列各支派的首領，說：「耶和華藉著摩西曾吩咐你們把一些城邑分給我們住，讓我們可以在城郊牧養牲畜。」 3 以色列人便按照耶和華的吩咐，從他們的產業中把以下的城邑及城郊分給了利未人。
4 利未人哥轄宗族中大祭司亞倫的子孫從猶大、西緬和便雅憫支派的產業中抽籤得了十三座城。 5 哥轄宗族中其他的人也從以法蓮、但和瑪拿西半個支派的產業中抽籤得了十座城。 6 革順的子孫從以薩迦、亞設、拿弗他利和在巴珊的瑪拿西半個支派的產業中抽籤得了十三座城。 7 米拉利的子孫按宗族從呂便、迦得和西布倫支派的產業中抽籤得了十二座城。

21 Then came near the heads of the fathers of the Levites unto Eleazar the priest, and unto Joshua the son of Nun, and unto the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel;
2 And they spake unto them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, The Lord commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with the suburbs thereof for our cattle.
3 And the children of Israel gave unto the Levites out of their inheritance, at the commandment of the Lord, these cities and their suburbs.
4 And the lot came out for the families of the Kohathites: and the children of Aaron the priest, which were of the Levites, had by lot out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of Simeon, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities.
5 And the rest of the children of Kohath had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh, ten cities.
6 And the children of Gershon had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.
7 The children of Merari by their families had out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.
8 And the children of Israel gave by lot unto the Levites these cities with their suburbs, as the Lord commanded by the hand of Moses.
9 And they gave out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, these cities which are here mentioned by name.
10 Which the children of Aaron, being of the families of the Kohathites, who were of the children of Levi, had: for theirs was the first lot.
11 And they gave them the city of Arba the father of Anak, which city is Hebron, in the hill country of Judah, with the suburbs thereof round about it.
12 But the fields of the city, and the villages thereof, gave they to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession.
13 Thus they gave to the children of Aaron the priest Hebron with her suburbs, to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Libnah with her suburbs,
14 And Jattir with her suburbs, and Eshtemoa with her suburbs,
15 And Holon with her suburbs, and Debir with her suburbs,
16 And Ain with her suburbs, and Juttah with her suburbs, and Bethshemesh with her suburbs; nine cities out of those two tribes.
17 And out of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon with her suburbs, Geba with her suburbs,
18 Anathoth with her suburbs, and Almon with her suburbs; four cities.
19 All the cities of the children of Aaron, the priests, were thirteen cities with their suburbs.
20 And the families of the children of Kohath, the Levites which remained of the children of Kohath, even they had the cities of their lot out of the tribe of Ephraim.
21 For they gave them Shechem with her suburbs in mount Ephraim, to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Gezer with her suburbs,
22 And Kibzaim with her suburbs, and Bethhoron with her suburbs; four cities.
23 And out of the tribe of Dan, Eltekeh with her suburbs, Gibbethon with her suburbs,
24 Aijalon with her suburbs, Gathrimmon with her suburbs; four cities.
25 And out of the half tribe of Manasseh, Tanach with her suburbs, and Gathrimmon with her suburbs; two cities.
26 All the cities were ten with their suburbs for the families of the children of Kohath that remained.
27 And unto the children of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of the other half tribe of Manasseh they gave Golan in Bashan with her suburbs, to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Beeshterah with her suburbs; two cities.
28 And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kishon with her suburbs, Dabareh with her suburbs,
29 Jarmuth with her suburbs, Engannim with her suburbs; four cities.
30 And out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal with her suburbs, Abdon with her suburbs,
31 Helkath with her suburbs, and Rehob with her suburbs; four cities.
32 And out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with her suburbs, to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Hammothdor with her suburbs, and Kartan with her suburbs; three cities.
33 All the cities of the Gershonites according to their families were thirteen cities with their suburbs.
34 And unto the families of the children of Merari, the rest of the Levites, out of the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam with her suburbs, and Kartah with her suburbs,
35 Dimnah with her suburbs, Nahalal with her suburbs; four cities.
36 And out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer with her suburbs, and Jahazah with her suburbs,
37 Kedemoth with her suburbs, and Mephaath with her suburbs; four cities.
38 And out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with her suburbs, to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Mahanaim with her suburbs,
39 Heshbon with her suburbs, Jazer with her suburbs; four cities in all.
40 So all the cities for the children of Merari by their families, which were remaining of the families of the Levites, were by their lot twelve cities.
41 All the cities of the Levites within the possession of the children of Israel were forty and eight cities with their suburbs.
42 These cities were every one with their suburbs round about them: thus were all these cities.
43 And the Lord gave unto Israel all the land which he sware to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein.
44 And the Lord gave them rest round about, according to all that he sware unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the Lord delivered all their enemies into their hand.
45 There failed not ought of any good thing which the Lord had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.

Towns for the Levites(A)
21 Now the family heads of the Levites approached Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the heads of the other tribal families of Israel(B) 2 at Shiloh(C) in Canaan and said to them, “The Lord commanded through Moses that you give us towns(D) to live in, with pasturelands for our livestock.”(E) 3 So, as the Lord had commanded, the Israelites gave the Levites the following towns and pasturelands out of their own inheritance:
4 The first lot came out for the Kohathites,(F) according to their clans. The Levites who were descendants of Aaron the priest were allotted thirteen towns from the tribes of Judah, Simeon and Benjamin.(G) 5 The rest of Kohath’s descendants were allotted ten towns from the clans of the tribes of Ephraim, Dan and half of Manasseh.(H)
6 The descendants of Gershon(I) were allotted thirteen towns from the clans of the tribes of Issachar,(J) Asher,(K) Naphtali and the half-tribe of Manasseh in Bashan.
7 The descendants of Merari,(L) according to their clans, received twelve(M) towns from the tribes of Reuben, Gad and Zebulun.(N)
8 So the Israelites allotted to the Levites these towns and their pasturelands, as the Lord had commanded through Moses.
9 From the tribes of Judah and Simeon they allotted the following towns by name 10 (these towns were assigned to the descendants of Aaron who were from the Kohathite clans of the Levites, because the first lot fell to them):
11 They gave them Kiriath Arba(O) (that is, Hebron(P)), with its surrounding pastureland, in the hill country of Judah. (Arba was the forefather of Anak.) 12 But the fields and villages around the city they had given to Caleb son of Jephunneh as his possession.(Q)
13 So to the descendants of Aaron the priest they gave Hebron (a city of refuge(R) for one accused of murder), Libnah,(S) 14 Jattir,(T) Eshtemoa,(U) 15 Holon,(V) Debir,(W) 16 Ain,(X) Juttah(Y) and Beth Shemesh,(Z) together with their pasturelands—nine towns from these two tribes.
17 And from the tribe of Benjamin they gave them Gibeon,(AA) Geba,(AB) 18 Anathoth(AC) and Almon, together with their pasturelands—four towns.
19 The total number of towns(AD) for the priests, the descendants of Aaron, came to thirteen, together with their pasturelands.(AE)
20 The rest of the Kohathite clans of the Levites were allotted towns from the tribe of Ephraim:
21 In the hill country of Ephraim they were given Shechem(AF) (a city of refuge for one accused of murder) and Gezer,(AG) 22 Kibzaim and Beth Horon,(AH) together with their pasturelands—four towns.(AI)
23 Also from the tribe of Dan they received Eltekeh, Gibbethon,(AJ) 24 Aijalon(AK) and Gath Rimmon,(AL) together with their pasturelands—four towns.
25 From half the tribe of Manasseh they received Taanach(AM) and Gath Rimmon, together with their pasturelands—two towns.
26 All these ten towns and their pasturelands were given to the rest of the Kohathite clans.(AN)
27 The Levite clans of the Gershonites were given:
from the half-tribe of Manasseh,
Golan in Bashan(AO) (a city of refuge for one accused of murder(AP)) and Be Eshterah, together with their pasturelands—two towns;
28 from the tribe of Issachar,(AQ)
Kishion,(AR) Daberath,(AS) 29 Jarmuth(AT) and En Gannim,(AU) together with their pasturelands—four towns;
30 from the tribe of Asher,(AV)
32 from the tribe of Naphtali,
Kedesh(AZ) in Galilee (a city of refuge for one accused of murder(BA)), Hammoth Dor and Kartan, together with their pasturelands—three towns.
33 The total number of towns of the Gershonite(BB) clans came to thirteen, together with their pasturelands.
34 The Merarite clans (the rest of the Levites) were given:
from the tribe of Zebulun,(BC)
Jokneam,(BD) Kartah, 35 Dimnah and Nahalal,(BE) together with their pasturelands—four towns;
36 from the tribe of Reuben,
38 from the tribe of Gad,
Ramoth(BI) in Gilead(BJ) (a city of refuge for one accused of murder), Mahanaim,(BK) 39 Heshbon and Jazer,(BL) together with their pasturelands—four towns in all.
40 The total number of towns allotted to the Merarite clans, who were the rest of the Levites, came to twelve.(BM)
41 The towns of the Levites in the territory held by the Israelites were forty-eight in all, together with their pasturelands.(BN) 42 Each of these towns had pasturelands surrounding it; this was true for all these towns.
43 So the Lord gave Israel all the land he had sworn to give their ancestors,(BO) and they took possession(BP) of it and settled there.(BQ) 44 The Lord gave them rest(BR) on every side, just as he had sworn to their ancestors. Not one of their enemies(BS) withstood them; the Lord gave all their enemies(BT) into their hands.(BU) 45 Not one of all the Lord’s good promises(BV) to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.
