Мой народ был как пропавшие овцы;
    пастухи сбили их с пути

    они бродили по горам и холмам
    и забыли свое пристанище.
Каждый, кто ни находил, пожирал их;
    их враги говорили: «На нас нет вины,
ведь они согрешили против Господа,
    истинного пастбища их,
против Господа, надежды их отцов».

They will ask the way(A) to Zion
    and turn their faces toward it.
They will come(B) and bind themselves to the Lord
    in an everlasting covenant(C)
    that will not be forgotten.

“My people have been lost sheep;(D)
    their shepherds(E) have led them astray(F)
    and caused them to roam on the mountains.
They wandered over mountain and hill(G)
    and forgot their own resting place.(H)
Whoever found them devoured(I) them;
    their enemies said, ‘We are not guilty,(J)
for they sinned against the Lord, their verdant pasture,
    the Lord, the hope(K) of their ancestors.’

They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces thitherward, saying, Come, and let us join ourselves to the Lord in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten.

My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their restingplace.

All that found them have devoured them: and their adversaries said, We offend not, because they have sinned against the Lord, the habitation of justice, even the Lord, the hope of their fathers.
