7 Затем слово Господа пришло ко мне. 2 Он сказал: «Сын человеческий[a], вот тебе весть Господняя для Израильской земли.
Конец!
Пришёл конец для всей страны[b].
3 Пришёл конец для вас.
Я покажу, как Я разгневался на вас.
Я накажу вас за всё зло,
содеянное вами.
Я вас заставлю заплатить
за все ваши ужасные дела.
4 Я милосердия не окажу,
не буду о вас Я сожалеть.
За всё дурное, что вы содеяли,
Я шлю вам наказание.
И вы узнаете, что Я—Господь!»
5 Господь Всемогущий сказал: «Идёт несчастье за несчастьем! 6 Приходит конец! Близок конец! Всё случится очень скоро. 7 Живущие в Израиле, гибель идёт к вам. Близко время наказания! В горах шум смятения, а не радости. 8 Скоро Я покажу вам силу гнева Своего, покажу его весь и накажу вас за всё дурное, что сделали вы. Я заставлю платить вас за всё то ужасное, что вы совершили. 9 Я не проявлю милосердия и сожалеть о вас не буду. Я накажу вас за злые дела, которые вы совершили. И тогда вы поймёте, что Я—Господь, Который наказывает вас.
10 Несправедливость ваша расцвела, и гордость разрослась, поэтому пришло время наказания, приближается погибель ваша. 11 Насилие лишь умножает зло[c], и поэтому ничего не останется у этих людей: ни богатства, ни величия, ни славы[d].
12 Время наказания пришло, этот день наступил. Кто покупает, тот не будет радоваться приобретённому, а кто продаёт, тот не будет сожалеть о проданном, потому что наказание постигнет каждого. 13 Тот, кто продал свою землю[e], никогда не вернётся к своей собственности до конца жизни. Даже если кому-то и удалось спастись, то они не приобретут утерянного, потому что это видение для всех. И если кто-нибудь смерти избежал, то никто этому не обрадуется.
14 Они будут трубить в трубы и готовиться к битве, но никто не идёт на войну, потому что велик гнев Мой против всего народа. 15 Враги с мечами за городскими стенами, а болезнь и голод в самом городе свирепствуют. И если человек уйдёт в поле, он будет убит мечом врага, а если останется в городе, то его уничтожат голод и болезнь. 16 И хотя часть людей убежит в горы, но счастливы они не будут, потому что их охватит печаль из-за совершённых ими грехов. Они будут плакать и стонать словно голуби. 17 Слишком печальны и утомлены будут люди, чтобы поднять руки, и им покажется, будто ноги их—вода. 18 Они наденут одежды печали, страх охватит их, на каждом лице будет позор, и каждый обреет голову в знак горя. 19 Они выбросят своих серебряных идолов на улицы словно грязную тряпку, потому что эти статуи не спасут народ от гнева Господнего. Их золотые и серебряные идолы не накормят людей, а станут лишь ловушкой, в которую многие попадут.
20 Люди из своих драгоценностей сделали идола и гордились им. Они сделали жуткие статуи, эти страшилища, поэтому Я выброшу их словно грязную тряпку. 21 Я позволю чужеземцам разграбить дома Израиля, а затем они унесут эти богатства в свою страну, чтобы осквернить их на века. 22 Я отвернусь от Моих людей и не буду смотреть на них. Чужеземцы разрушат Мой храм, войдут в его святыни и осквернят их.
23 Сделайте цепи для пленников, потому что многие будут наказаны за убийства. Повсюду в городе будет совершаться насилие. 24 Я приведу злых людей из других земель, и они займут все дома Израиля. Я усмирю гордыню могущественных, и люди других народов осквернят места ваших поклонений.
25 Вы будете трястись от страха и будете искать мир, но не найдёте его. 26 Несчастье за несчастьем постигнут вас, и одна печальная весть будет сменять другую. Вы будете выспрашивать пророка о его видениях, но видений не будет, и священникам нечему вас будет учить, а старейшины не найдут для вас советов. 27 Ваш царь будет оплакивать мёртвых, облекутся правители в одежды печали, и будет напуган простой народ, потому что Я отплачу им за все их дела. Я изберу им наказание и накажу, и после этого люди поймут, что Я—Господь».

7 Было ко мне слово Вечного:
2 – Смертный, так говорит Владыка Вечный земле исраильской: Конец! Конец пришёл на четыре края земли! 3 Теперь тебе конец, и Я изолью Свой гнев на тебя. Я буду судить тебя по твоим поступкам и накажу за все твои омерзительные обычаи. 4 Я не посмотрю на тебя с жалостью и не пощажу; Я непременно накажу тебя за твоё поведение и омерзительные обычаи. Тогда вы узнаете, что Я – Вечный.
5 Так говорит Владыка Вечный: Беда за бедой! Смотрите, идёт беда. 6 Конец настал! Настал конец! Он поднялся против тебя. Смотрите, кто пришёл! 7 Гибель пришла к тебе – к тебе, обитатель земли. Время настало, день близок; смятение, а не радость, царит на горах. 8 Скоро Я изолью на тебя Свою ярость и обращу на тебя Свой гнев; Я буду судить тебя по твоим поступкам и накажу тебя за твои омерзительные обычаи. 9 Я не посмотрю на тебя с жалостью и не пощажу; Я воздам тебе по твоим поступкам и омерзительным обычаям. Тогда вы узнаете, что Я – Вечный, Который карает.
10 Вот он, этот день! Он настал! Гибель пришла. Жезл расцвёл; гордыня дала ростки. 11 Насилие выросло в жезл, чтобы сокрушить беззаконие; никого из них не останется; не останется ни довольства их, ни богатства, ни преимущества. 12 Время настало, приблизился день. Да не радуется купивший, и продавший да не скорбит, потому что Мой гнев пылает на всё их множество. 13 Продавший не вернёт земли, которую он продал, до конца своей жизни,[a] потому что видение относится ко всему их множеству, и оно не будет упразднено. Из-за своих грехов никто из них не сохранит жизни. 14 Пусть они трубят в трубы и готовятся: никто из них не выйдет на бой, потому что Мой гнев пылает на всё их множество.
15 Снаружи – меч, внутри – мор и голод; те, кто в поле, погибнут от меча, а те, кто в городе, умрут от голода и мора. 16 Все, кто уцелеет и спасётся, будут в горах, как голуби, изгнанные из долины; все они будут скорбно стонать, каждый из-за своих грехов. 17 У всех руки опустятся, и у всех колени ослабнут, как вода. 18 Они наденут рубище и будут объяты трепетом. На всех лицах будет написан стыд, головы у всех будут обриты. 19 Они бросят своё серебро на улицах, а их золото станет считаться нечистым. Серебро и золото не смогут спасти их в день гнева Вечного. Люди не утолят ими голода и не наполнят желудок. Ведь золото и серебро стали им преградой и ввели их в грех. 20 Из прекрасных украшений, которыми они гордились, они отлили омерзительные истуканы, свои гнусности. За это Я сделаю украшения нечистыми для них. 21 Я отдам украшения в добычу чужеземцам, в наживу злодеям земли, и они осквернят их. 22 Я отверну от них лицо, и они осквернят Моё сокровенное место[b]; грабители войдут туда и осквернят его.
23 Готовь цепи, потому что страна полна кровавых преступлений, а город объят насилием. 24 Я приведу худшие из народов, и они завладеют их домами; Я положу конец гордыне сильных, и их капища будут осквернены. 25 Когда придёт ужас, они станут искать мира, но его не будет. 26 Беда последует за бедой, и за слухами – новые слухи. Они будут просить от пророков видений; священнослужители перестанут преподавать Закон, и старейшины не найдут для вас советов. 27 Царь будет скорбеть, вождь впадёт в отчаяние, и задрожат руки простонародья. Я поступлю с ними по их поступкам и стану судить их по их же правилам. Тогда они узнают, что Я – Вечный.

7 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
2 Also, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord God unto the land of Israel; An end, the end is come upon the four corners of the land.
3 Now is the end come upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense upon thee all thine abominations.
4 And mine eye shall not spare thee, neither will I have pity: but I will recompense thy ways upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
5 Thus saith the Lord God; An evil, an only evil, behold, is come.
6 An end is come, the end is come: it watcheth for thee; behold, it is come.
7 The morning is come unto thee, O thou that dwellest in the land: the time is come, the day of trouble is near, and not the sounding again of the mountains.
8 Now will I shortly pour out my fury upon thee, and accomplish mine anger upon thee: and I will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense thee for all thine abominations.
9 And mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: I will recompense thee according to thy ways and thine abominations that are in the midst of thee; and ye shall know that I am the Lord that smiteth.
10 Behold the day, behold, it is come: the morning is gone forth; the rod hath blossomed, pride hath budded.
11 Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness: none of them shall remain, nor of their multitude, nor of any of their's: neither shall there be wailing for them.
12 The time is come, the day draweth near: let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn: for wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.
13 For the seller shall not return to that which is sold, although they were yet alive: for the vision is touching the whole multitude thereof, which shall not return; neither shall any strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life.
14 They have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready; but none goeth to the battle: for my wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.
15 The sword is without, and the pestilence and the famine within: he that is in the field shall die with the sword; and he that is in the city, famine and pestilence shall devour him.
16 But they that escape of them shall escape, and shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them mourning, every one for his iniquity.
17 All hands shall be feeble, and all knees shall be weak as water.
18 They shall also gird themselves with sackcloth, and horror shall cover them; and shame shall be upon all faces, and baldness upon all their heads.
19 They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.
20 As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty: but they made the images of their abominations and of their detestable things therein: therefore have I set it far from them.
21 And I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall pollute it.
22 My face will I turn also from them, and they shall pollute my secret place: for the robbers shall enter into it, and defile it.
23 Make a chain: for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence.
24 Wherefore I will bring the worst of the heathen, and they shall possess their houses: I will also make the pomp of the strong to cease; and their holy places shall be defiled.
25 Destruction cometh; and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none.
26 Mischief shall come upon mischief, and rumour shall be upon rumour; then shall they seek a vision of the prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the ancients.
27 The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do unto them after their way, and according to their deserts will I judge them; and they shall know that I am the Lord.

Judgment on Israel Is Near
7 Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 2 “And you, son of man, thus says the Lord God to the land of Israel:
(A)‘An end! The end has come upon the four corners of the land.
3 Now the end has come upon you,
And I will send My anger against you;
I will judge you (B)according to your ways,
And I will repay you for all your abominations.
4 (C)My eye will not spare you,
Nor will I have pity;
But I will repay your ways,
And your abominations will be in your midst;
(D)Then you shall know that I am the Lord!’
5 “Thus says the Lord God:
‘A disaster, a singular (E)disaster;
Behold, it has come!
6 An end has come,
The end has come;
It has dawned for you;
Behold, it has come!
7 (F)Doom has come to you, you who dwell in the land;
(G)The time has come,
A day of trouble is near,
And not of rejoicing in the mountains.
8 Now upon you I will soon (H)pour out My fury,
And spend My anger upon you;
I will judge you according to your ways,
And I will repay you for all your abominations.
9 ‘My eye will not spare,
Nor will I have pity;
I will [a]repay you according to your ways,
And your abominations will be in your midst.
Then you shall know that I am the Lord who strikes.
10 ‘Behold, the day!
Behold, it has come!
(I)Doom has gone out;
The rod has blossomed,
Pride has budded.
11 (J)Violence has risen up into a rod of wickedness;
None of them shall remain,
None of their multitude,
