3 Песнь Давуда, когда он бежал от своего сына Авессалома.[a]
2 Вечный, как много стало у меня врагов!
Как много тех, кто поднимается против меня!
3 Многие говорят обо мне:
«Всевышний его не спасёт». Пауза[b]
4 Но Ты, Вечный, мой щит;
Ты даруешь мне славу[c]
и возносишь голову мою.
5 Я взываю к Вечному,
и Он отвечает мне
со Своей святой горы[d]. Пауза
6 Ложусь я и сплю, и пробуждаюсь опять,
ведь Вечный поддерживает меня.
7 Не устрашусь я десятков тысяч врагов,
со всех сторон обступивших меня.
8 Вечный, восстань!
Помоги мне, мой Бог!
Порази всех врагов моих в челюсть,
сокруши нечестивым зубы.
9 Спасение – от Вечного.
Да будет благословение Твоё на народе Твоём! Пауза

1 Lord, how many are my foes!
How many rise up against me!
2 Many are saying of me,
“God will not deliver him.(B)”[b]
3 But you, Lord, are a shield(C) around me,
my glory, the One who lifts my head high.(D)
4 I call out to the Lord,(E)
and he answers me from his holy mountain.(F)
5 I lie down and sleep;(G)
I wake again,(H) because the Lord sustains me.
6 I will not fear(I) though tens of thousands
assail me on every side.(J)

6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.
7 Arise, O Lord; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.
8 Salvation belongeth unto the Lord: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.
