16 Господното слово дойде пак към мене и рече:
2 Недей си взема жена, Нито да родиш синове или дъщери на това място.
3 Защото така казва Господ За синовете и за дъщерите, които се раждат на това място, И за майките, които са ги родили, И за бащите, които са ги добили, в тая страна:
4 Те ще умрат от разни видове люта смърт; Не ще бъдат оплакани, нито погребани; Ще бъдат като тор по лицето на земята; Ще загинат от нож и от глад, И труповете им ще бъдат храна За небесните птици и за земните зверове.
5 Защото така казва Господ: Не влизай в дом, гдето има жалеене, И не ходи да ридаеш или да ги оплакваш; Защото отнех мира Си от тия люде, казва Господ, Да! милосърдието и щедростите Си.
6 И големи и малки ще измрат в тая страна; Не ще бъдат погребани, нито ще ги оплачат, Нито ще направят нарязвания по телата си, Нито ще се обръснат за тях,
7 Нито ще раздават хляб в жалеенето, За да ги утешат за умрелия, Нито ще ги напоят с утешителната чаша За баща им или за майка им.
8 Не влизай и в дом, гдето има пируване, Да седиш с тях та да ядеш и да пиеш;
9 Защото така казва Господ на Силите, Израилевият Бог: Ето, Аз ще направя да престане в това място, Пред очите ви, и във вашите дни, Гласът на радостта и гласът на веселието, Гласът на младоженеца и гласът на невестата.
10 И когато известиш на тия люде всички тия думи, и те ти рекат: Защо е изрекъл Господ това голямо зло против нас? И какво е беззаконието и какъв грехът ни, който сме извършили против Господа нашия Бог?
11 Тогава да им речеш: Понеже ме оставиха бащите ви, казва Господ, Та последваха други богове, Служиха им, и им се поклониха, А Мене оставиха, и закона Ми не опазиха;
12 А и вие сторихте още по-лошо от бащите си, Защото, ето, ходите всеки по упоритостта на нечестивото си сърце. И не слушате Мене;
13 Затова, ще ви изхвърля от тая страна В страна, която не сте познавали, нито вие, нито бащите ви; И там денем и нощем ще служите на други богове; Понеже няма да покажа милост към вас.
14 Затова, ето, идат дни, казва Господ, Когато няма вече да рекат: Заклевам се в живота на Господа, Който изведе израилтяните от египетската земя,
15 Но Заклевам се в живота на Господа, Който изведе израилтяните от северната земя, И от всичките страни, гдето ги беше изгонил! И аз ще ги върна пак в страната им, Която дадох на бащите им.
16 Ето, ще пратя за много рибари, Казва Господ, та ще ги изловят; И подир това ще пратя за много ловци, Та ще ги гонят от всяка планина, И от всеки хълм, и от дупките на канарите.
17 Защото очите Ми са върху всичките ми пътища; Те не са скрити от лицето ми, Нито е утаено беззаконието им от очите Ми.
18 И най-напред ще им въздам двойно За беззаконието им и за греха им, Защото оскверниха земята Ми с труповете на гнусотиите си, И с мерзостите си напълниха наследството Ми.
19 Господи, сило моя, и крепост моя, Прибежище мое в скръбен ден! При Тебе ще дойдат народите от краищата на земята, И ще рекат: Бащите ни не наследиха друго освен лъжи, Суета, и безполезни работи.
20 Да си направи ли човек богове, Които все пак не са богове?
21 Затова, ето, ще ги направя тоя път да познаят, - Ще ги направя да познаят ръката Ми и силата Ми; И те ще познаят, че името Ми е Иеова.

16 耶和华对耶利米说： 2 “你不可在这地方娶妻，也不可生儿育女。 3 至于在这地方出生的孩子和他们的父母，耶和华说， 4 ‘他们必死于恶疾，无人哀悼，无人埋葬，他们好像地上的粪便。他们必死于战争和饥荒，尸首必成为飞鸟和走兽的食物。’” 5 耶和华对我说：“你不要进入丧家为他们哀悼悲伤，因为我已收回我赐给这百姓的平安、慈爱和怜悯。这是耶和华说的。 6 他们无论尊卑都要死在这里，无人埋葬，无人哀悼，也无人为他们的死而割伤身体、剃光头发。 7 无人用食物和酒安慰哀悼者，甚至无人给丧父或丧母者一杯安慰酒。 8 你不可进入宴乐之家与他们同坐吃喝。” 9 以色列的上帝——万军之耶和华说：“在这百姓有生之年，我要使这地方的欢乐声和新郎新娘的欢笑声从他们眼前消失。
10 “当你把这些话告诉他们的时候，他们会质问你，‘耶和华为什么给我们降这大灾难？我们有什么罪？我们哪里得罪了我们的上帝耶和华？’ 11 你要对他们说，‘耶和华说，你们的祖先背弃我，去跟随、供奉、祭拜别的神明；他们背弃我，不遵守我的律法。 12 可是，你们的行为比他们更邪恶，一意孤行，不听从我。 13 所以，我要把你们从这里驱逐到你们和你们祖先都不认识的地方，你们在那里要日夜供奉别的神明，因为我不再恩待你们。’”
14 耶和华说：“时候将到，那时人不再凭把以色列人带出埃及的耶和华起誓， 15 而是凭把他们从流放之地——北方和列国领回来的永活的耶和华起誓。因为我必领他们回到我赐给他们祖先的地方。”
16 耶和华说：“看啊，我要召来许多渔夫把他们捕捞上来，我要召来许多猎人去各山岭和岩穴猎取他们。 17 因为我鉴察他们的一切行为，他们无法隐藏，他们的罪恶逃不过我的眼晴。 18 首先，我要让他们因自己的罪与恶而受加倍的报应，因为他们用没有生命气息的可憎偶像玷污我的土地，使可厌之物充满我的产业。”
19 耶和华啊，你是我的力量，
是我的堡垒，
是我患难时的避难所。
万国都要从地极来朝见你，
说：“我们祖先所拜的神像虚假无用，一无是处。
20 难道人可以为自己制造神明吗？
其实那些神明并不是真神。”
21 耶和华说：“看啊，这一次我要让他们知道我的权柄和能力，让他们知道我是耶和华。”

16 Then the word of the Lord came to me: 2 “You must not marry(A) and have sons or daughters in this place.” 3 For this is what the Lord says about the sons and daughters born in this land and about the women who are their mothers and the men who are their fathers:(B) 4 “They will die of deadly diseases. They will not be mourned or buried(C) but will be like dung lying on the ground.(D) They will perish by sword and famine,(E) and their dead bodies will become food for the birds and the wild animals.”(F)
5 For this is what the Lord says: “Do not enter a house where there is a funeral meal; do not go to mourn or show sympathy, because I have withdrawn my blessing, my love and my pity(G) from this people,” declares the Lord. 6 “Both high and low will die in this land.(H) They will not be buried or mourned,(I) and no one will cut(J) themselves or shave(K) their head for the dead. 7 No one will offer food(L) to comfort those who mourn(M) for the dead—not even for a father or a mother—nor will anyone give them a drink to console(N) them.
8 “And do not enter a house where there is feasting and sit down to eat and drink.(O) 9 For this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Before your eyes and in your days I will bring an end to the sounds(P) of joy and gladness and to the voices of bride(Q) and bridegroom in this place.(R)
10 “When you tell these people all this and they ask you, ‘Why has the Lord decreed such a great disaster against us? What wrong have we done? What sin have we committed against the Lord our God?’(S) 11 then say to them, ‘It is because your ancestors forsook me,’ declares the Lord, ‘and followed other gods and served and worshiped(T) them. They forsook me and did not keep my law.(U) 12 But you have behaved more wickedly than your ancestors.(V) See how all of you are following the stubbornness of your evil hearts(W) instead of obeying me. 13 So I will throw you out of this land(X) into a land neither you nor your ancestors have known,(Y) and there you will serve other gods(Z) day and night, for I will show you no favor.’(AA)
14 “However, the days are coming,”(AB) declares the Lord, “when it will no longer be said, ‘As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the Israelites up out of Egypt,’(AC) 15 but it will be said, ‘As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the Israelites up out of the land of the north(AD) and out of all the countries where he had banished them.’(AE) For I will restore(AF) them to the land I gave their ancestors.(AG)
16 “But now I will send for many fishermen,” declares the Lord, “and they will catch them.(AH) After that I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt(AI) them down on every mountain and hill and from the crevices of the rocks.(AJ) 17 My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden(AK) from me, nor is their sin concealed from my eyes.(AL) 18 I will repay(AM) them double(AN) for their wickedness and their sin, because they have defiled my land(AO) with the lifeless forms of their vile images(AP) and have filled my inheritance with their detestable idols.(AQ)”(AR)
19 Lord, my strength and my fortress,
my refuge(AS) in time of distress,
to you the nations will come(AT)
from the ends of the earth and say,
“Our ancestors possessed nothing but false gods,(AU)
worthless idols(AV) that did them no good.(AW)
20 Do people make their own gods?
Yes, but they are not gods!”(AX)
21 “Therefore I will teach them—
this time I will teach them
my power and might.
Then they will know
that my name(AY) is the Lord.

16 The word of the Lord came also unto me, saying,
2 Thou shalt not take thee a wife, neither shalt thou have sons or daughters in this place.
3 For thus saith the Lord concerning the sons and concerning the daughters that are born in this place, and concerning their mothers that bare them, and concerning their fathers that begat them in this land;
4 They shall die of grievous deaths; they shall not be lamented; neither shall they be buried; but they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth: and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine; and their carcases shall be meat for the fowls of heaven, and for the beasts of the earth.
5 For thus saith the Lord, Enter not into the house of mourning, neither go to lament nor bemoan them: for I have taken away my peace from this people, saith the Lord, even lovingkindness and mercies.
6 Both the great and the small shall die in this land: they shall not be buried, neither shall men lament for them, nor cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them:
7 Neither shall men tear themselves for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead; neither shall men give them the cup of consolation to drink for their father or for their mother.
8 Thou shalt not also go into the house of feasting, to sit with them to eat and to drink.
9 For thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will cause to cease out of this place in your eyes, and in your days, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride.
10 And it shall come to pass, when thou shalt shew this people all these words, and they shall say unto thee, Wherefore hath the Lord pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against the Lord our God?
11 Then shalt thou say unto them, Because your fathers have forsaken me, saith the Lord, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law;
12 And ye have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, ye walk every one after the imagination of his evil heart, that they may not hearken unto me:
13 Therefore will I cast you out of this land into a land that ye know not, neither ye nor your fathers; and there shall ye serve other gods day and night; where I will not shew you favour.
14 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that it shall no more be said, The Lord liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
15 But, The Lord liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.
16 Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith the Lord, and they shall fish them; and after will I send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.
17 For mine eyes are upon all their ways: they are not hid from my face, neither is their iniquity hid from mine eyes.
18 And first I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double; because they have defiled my land, they have filled mine inheritance with the carcases of their detestable and abominable things.
19 O Lord, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.
20 Shall a man make gods unto himself, and they are no gods?
21 Therefore, behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know mine hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is The Lord.

16 Unya miingon ang Ginoo kanako, 2 “Ayaw gayod pangasawa o pagbaton ug anak niini nga dapit. 3 Kay sultihan ko ikaw kon unsay mahitabo sa mga batang natawo dinhi niining dapita ug sa ilang mga ginikanan. 4 Mangamatay sila sa grabe nga balatian. Walay magsubo o molubong kanila. Magkatag ang ilang mga patayng lawas nga daw tae nga nagkatag sa yuta. Ang uban kanila mangamatay sa gira ug sa kagutom, ug ang ilang mga patayng lawas kan-on sa mga langgam ug ihalas nga mga mananap.”
5 Miingon pa gayod ang Ginoo, “Ayaw pagsulod sa balay diin adunay pagbangotan alang sa patay. Ayaw pagbangotan o pagpakita sa imong kalooy alang kanila, kay gibawi ko na ang akong kaayo, paghigugma, ug kalooy niining mga tawhana. 6 Mangamatay ang mga lumulupyo niining yutaa, dato man o pobre, ug wala gayoy molubong kanila. Walay mosamad sa iyang kaugalingon o magpaupaw sa pagpakita sa iyang pagsubo alang kanila. 7 Walay mohatag ug pagkaon o ilimnon aron sa paglipay sa mga nagbangotan, bisan pa kon kini namatyan ug inahan o amahan. 8 Ayaw usab pagsulod sa balay nga may kombira ug unya mokaon ug moinom didto. 9 Kay ako, ang Ginoo nga Makagagahom, ang Dios sa Israel nagaingon: ‘Undangon ko ang kamaya ug kasadya niining lugara, lakip ang kasadya sa mga bag-ong kinasal. Ug makita mo kini nga mahitabo sa imo mismong kapanahonan.’
10 “Kon isulti mo kini sa mga tawo, mangutana sila, ‘Unsay sala nga nahimo namo ngadto sa Ginoo nga atong Dios nga gipasidan-an man kami niya nga may moabot kanamo nga dakong katalagman?’ 11 Ingna sila nga mao kini ang akong tubag: Gihimo ko kini kay gisalikway ako sa inyong mga katigulangan. Nagaalagad sila ug nagsimba sa ubang mga dios. Gisalikway nila ako ug wala nila tumana ang akong balaod. 12 Ug mas daotan pa kamo kaysa inyong mga katigulangan. Gisunod ninyo ang mga tinguha sa gahi ug daotan ninyong kasingkasing imbis nga mosunod kamo kanako. 13 Busa abugon ko kamo gikan niini nga yuta ngadto sa yuta nga wala kamo o ang inyong mga katigulangan masuheto. Didto mag-alagad kamo sa ubang mga dios adlaw ug gabii, ug dili ko gayod kamo kaloy-an.
14 “Apan moabot ang panahon nga ang mga tawo dili na manumpa ug ingon niini: ‘Ipanumpa ko sa buhi nga Ginoo nga nagpagawas sa mga Israelinhon gikan sa Ehipto.’ 15 Kondili, magaingon sila, ‘Ipanumpa ko sa buhi nga Ginoo nga nagpagawas sa mga Israelinhon gikan sa nasod sa amihan ug sa tanang nasod diin iya silang gipatibulaag.’ Kay ibalik ko sila sa yuta nga gihatag ko sa ilang mga katigulangan.
16 “Apan sa pagkakaron, padad-an ko una silag daghang kaaway nga daw mga mangingisda nga modakop kanila. Human niana, magpadala akog mga kaaway nga daw mga mangangayam nga mangita kanila sa mga bukid, mga bungtod, ug mga kabatoan. 17 Nakita ko ang tanan nilang mga binuhatan. Wala gayod matago gikan kanako ang ilang mga sala. 18 Busa pabayron ko una silag doble sa ilang pagkadaotan ug sa ilang mga sala, tungod kay gipanamastamasan nila ang akong yuta sa ngil-ad ug patay nilang mga dios-dios.”
19 Nagaingon ako, “O Ginoo, ikaw ang akong kusog ug dalangpanan sa panahon sa kalisod. Moduol kanimo ang mga nasod nga naggikan sa tibuok kalibotan[a] ug moingon, ‘Walay pulos ang mga dios-dios sa among mga katigulangan. Wala gayod kini nahimong kaayohan kanila. 20 Makahimo ba ang tawo ug iyang kaugalingong dios? Kon mao, dili kana tinuod nga dios!’ ”
21 Miingon ang Ginoo, “Busa karon ipakita ko kanila ang akong gahom ug katakos aron mahibaloan nila nga ako mao ang Ginoo.”
