Закрытые восточные ворота
44 Затем он вновь привёл меня к внешним воротам святилища, которые находились с восточной стороны. Ворота были закрыты.
2 Вечный сказал мне:
– Ворота останутся закрытыми. Они не отворятся. Никто не войдёт в них. Они останутся закрытыми, потому что Я, Бог Исроила, вошёл через них. 3 Только вождь сядет в их пассаже обедать перед Вечным. Он войдёт со стороны притвора ворот и там же выйдет.
О служении в храме
4 Потом он вывел меня через северные ворота к храму. Я посмотрел и увидел, что слава Вечного наполнила храм Вечного, и я пал лицом на землю.
5 Вечный сказал мне:
– Смертный, будь внимателен ко всему, что видишь и слышишь. Я расскажу тебе правила и законы для храма Вечного. Уделяй пристальное внимание входу в храм и всем выходам из святилища. 6 Скажи мятежному народу Исроила: Так говорит Владыка Вечный: «Народ Исроила, довольно совершать мерзости! 7 Вы впускаете чужеземцев, необрезанных сердцем[a] и плотью, в святилище, оскверняя Мой храм, когда приносите Мне Мою пищу – жир и кровь. Вашими мерзостями вы расторгли соглашение со Мной. 8 Вместо того чтобы самим совершать для Меня священное служение, вы назначили чужеземцев совершать Мне служение в Моём святилище». 9 Так говорит Владыка Вечный: «Чужеземцу, непокорному сердцем и плотью, нельзя входить в Моё святилище, пусть даже он живёт среди исроильтян.
10 Левиты, которые отступились от Меня, когда Исроил сбился с пути, и стали поклоняться идолам, ответят за свой грех. 11 Они могут служить в Моём святилище, присматривая за воротами храма и участвуя в службах при храме. Они могут закалывать народу животных для всесожжений и для других жертв и стоять перед ним, чтобы прислуживать. 12 Но они призывали Мой народ служить идолам и ввели исроильтян в грех, и Я поклялся с поднятой рукой, что они ответят за этот грех, – возвещает Владыка Вечный. – 13 Пусть они не приближаются ко Мне, чтобы служить Мне. Пусть не приближаются к Моим святыням или к Моим святым приношениям. Пусть несут бремя позора за сделанные мерзости. 14 Я определяю им заботиться о храме и выполнять в нём ежедневную работу.
15 Пусть священнослужители-левиты из потомков Цадока, которые верно несли служение при святилище, когда исроильтяне отступились от Меня, приблизятся ко Мне, чтобы служить. Они будут стоять предо Мной, чтобы приносить в жертву жир и кровь, – возвещает Владыка Вечный. – 16 Только они будут входить в Моё святилище. Только они будут приближаться к Моему столу, чтобы прислуживать Мне и совершать службу.
17 Входя в ворота, ведущие во внутренний двор, они должны быть одеты в одежду из льна. Пусть, совершая служение в воротах, ведущих во внутренний двор, или в храме, они не надевают одежду из шерсти. 18 На головах у них пусть будут льняные уборы, и пусть они носят льняное нижнее бельё. Пусть не надевают того, что вызывает потливость. 19 Выходя во внешний двор к народу, пусть они снимают одежду, в которой служили, оставляют её в священных комнатах и надевают другую, чтобы священными одеждами не прикасаться к народу.
20 Пусть они не бреют голову, но и длинные волосы пусть не отращивают: пусть стригутся. 21 Священнослужителям нельзя пить вино, если они собираются войти во внутренний двор. 22 Им нельзя жениться на вдовах и разведённых. Они могут жениться только на девушках-исроильтянках или на вдовах других священнослужителей. 23 Пусть они учат Мой народ отличать священное от несвященного и показывают, как различать между нечистым и чистым.
24 Пусть священнослужители будут судьями во всяком споре. Пусть они решают его по Моим правилам. Они будут хранителями Моих законов и установлений относительно Моих праздников. Они будут хранить Мои субботы святыми.
25 Священнослужителю нельзя осквернять себя, приближаясь к мёртвому телу, но если у него умерли отец или мать, сын или дочь, брат или незамужняя сестра, ему дозволяется приближаться к ним. 26 Пусть, очистившись после осквернения, он ждёт ещё семь дней. 27 Пусть в тот день, когда он войдёт во внутренний двор святилища, чтобы служить в святилище, он принесёт жертву за грех, – возвещает Владыка Вечный.
28 Я буду единственным наследием для священнослужителей. Не давайте им имений в Исроиле: Я буду их имением. 29 Они будут питаться хлебными приношениями, жертвами за грех и жертвами повинности. Всё, что в Исроиле посвящено Вечному, будет принадлежать им. 30 Лучшее из первых плодов и всех ваших даров будет принадлежать священнослужителям. 44 Then he brought me back the way of the gate of the outward sanctuary which looketh toward the east; and it was shut.
2 Then said the Lord unto me; This gate shall be shut, it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter in by it; because the Lord, the God of Israel, hath entered in by it, therefore it shall be shut.
3 It is for the prince; the prince, he shall sit in it to eat bread before the Lord; he shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate, and shall go out by the way of the same.
4 Then brought he me the way of the north gate before the house: and I looked, and, behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord: and I fell upon my face.
5 And the Lord said unto me, Son of man, mark well, and behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears all that I say unto thee concerning all the ordinances of the house of the Lord, and all the laws thereof; and mark well the entering in of the house, with every going forth of the sanctuary.
6 And thou shalt say to the rebellious, even to the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God; O ye house of Israel, let it suffice you of all your abominations,
7 In that ye have brought into my sanctuary strangers, uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary, to pollute it, even my house, when ye offer my bread, the fat and the blood, and they have broken my covenant because of all your abominations.
8 And ye have not kept the charge of mine holy things: but ye have set keepers of my charge in my sanctuary for yourselves.
9 Thus saith the Lord God; No stranger, uncircumcised in heart, nor uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter into my sanctuary, of any stranger that is among the children of Israel.
10 And the Levites that are gone away far from me, when Israel went astray, which went astray away from me after their idols; they shall even bear their iniquity.
11 Yet they shall be ministers in my sanctuary, having charge at the gates of the house, and ministering to the house: they shall slay the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before them to minister unto them.
12 Because they ministered unto them before their idols, and caused the house of Israel to fall into iniquity; therefore have I lifted up mine hand against them, saith the Lord God, and they shall bear their iniquity.
13 And they shall not come near unto me, to do the office of a priest unto me, nor to come near to any of my holy things, in the most holy place: but they shall bear their shame, and their abominations which they have committed.
14 But I will make them keepers of the charge of the house, for all the service thereof, and for all that shall be done therein.
15 But the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, that kept the charge of my sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me, they shall come near to me to minister unto me, and they shall stand before me to offer unto me the fat and the blood, saith the Lord God:
16 They shall enter into my sanctuary, and they shall come near to my table, to minister unto me, and they shall keep my charge.
17 And it shall come to pass, that when they enter in at the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments; and no wool shall come upon them, whiles they minister in the gates of the inner court, and within.
18 They shall have linen bonnets upon their heads, and shall have linen breeches upon their loins; they shall not gird themselves with any thing that causeth sweat.
19 And when they go forth into the utter court, even into the utter court to the people, they shall put off their garments wherein they ministered, and lay them in the holy chambers, and they shall put on other garments; and they shall not sanctify the people with their garments.
20 Neither shall they shave their heads, nor suffer their locks to grow long; they shall only poll their heads.
21 Neither shall any priest drink wine, when they enter into the inner court.
22 Neither shall they take for their wives a widow, nor her that is put away: but they shall take maidens of the seed of the house of Israel, or a widow that had a priest before.
23 And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.
24 And in controversy they shall stand in judgment; and they shall judge it according to my judgments: and they shall keep my laws and my statutes in all mine assemblies; and they shall hallow my sabbaths.
25 And they shall come at no dead person to defile themselves: but for father, or for mother, or for son, or for daughter, for brother, or for sister that hath had no husband, they may defile themselves.
26 And after he is cleansed, they shall reckon unto him seven days.
27 And in the day that he goeth into the sanctuary, unto the inner court, to minister in the sanctuary, he shall offer his sin offering, saith the Lord God.
28 And it shall be unto them for an inheritance: I am their inheritance: and ye shall give them no possession in Israel: I am their possession.
29 They shall eat the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering: and every dedicated thing in Israel shall be theirs.
30 And the first of all the firstfruits of all things, and every oblation of all, of every sort of your oblations, shall be the priest's: ye shall also give unto the priest the first of your dough, that he may cause the blessing to rest in thine house.
31 The priests shall not eat of any thing that is dead of itself, or torn, whether it be fowl or beast.

44 1 Sedan förde han mig tillbaka till helgedomens yttre port, den som vette mot öster. Den var stängd. 2 Herren sa till mig: ”Den här porten ska förbli stängd. Den får inte mer öppnas. Ingen ska gå genom den, för Herren, Israels Gud, har kommit in genom den. Därför ska den förbli stängd. 3 Men fursten får, därför att han är en furste, sitta där inne och hålla måltid inför Herren. Han får gå in genom portens förhus och ut samma väg.”
4 Därefter förde han mig genom norra porten till templets framsida. Jag såg hur Herrens härlighet fyllde Herrens hus. Då föll jag ner med ansiktet mot marken.
5 Herren sa till mig: ”Du människa, lägg noga märke till allt du ser och hör, allt som jag redogör för om alla förordningar för Herrens hus och alla lagarna beträffande det. Lägg noga märke till vad som gäller i fråga om tillträde till templet och allt utträde ur helgedomen.[a]
6 Säg till de upproriska israeliterna: ’Så säger Herren, Herren: Nu är det nog med era avskyvärda gärningar, israeliter! 7 Ni har fört hit främlingar, oomskurna till både det inre och det yttre, för att vara i min helgedom och vanhelga den, under det att ni frambar min föda, fett och blod till mig och bröt mitt förbund med alla era avskyvärdheter. 8 Ni har inte skött tjänsten för mina heliga ting, utan satt andra till att sköta er tjänst i min helgedom. 9 Så säger Herren, Herren: Ingen främling som är oomskuren både till det inre och till det yttre ska få komma in i min helgedom, ingen av de främlingar som finns bland israeliterna.
10 De leviter som övergav mig när Israel irrade bort ifrån mig och började dyrka avgudar får ta konsekvenserna av sin synd. 11 De får tjänstgöra i min helgedom som ansvariga för vakttjänsten vid tempelportarna och tjänstgöra i templet. De får slakta brännoffer och slaktoffer åt folket och stå där inför dem till deras tjänst. 12 Men därför att de betjänade dem inför avgudar och fick israeliterna att falla i synd, har jag lyft min hand mot dem, säger Herren, Herren. De får bära konsekvenserna av sin synd. 13 De ska inte få komma i min närhet för att tjäna mig som präster. De får inte röra några av mina heliga ting, de som är högheliga. De får bära skammen för sina avskyvärda gärningar. 14 Jag ska sätta dem till att ansvara för tjänsten i templet och allt arbete som ska göras där.
15 Men de levitiska prästerna av Sadoks släkt som gjorde en trogen tjänst i min helgedom när israeliterna irrade bort från mig, de får komma nära mig och göra tjänst inför mig. De ska stå inför mig och offra fett och blod åt mig, säger Herren, Herren. 16 De får komma in i min helgedom och nära mitt bord för att tjäna mig. De ska utföra min tjänstgöring.
17 När de kommer in genom den inre förgårdens portar, ska de vara klädda i linnekläder. De får inte ha något av ull på sig när de gör tjänst i den inre förgårdens portar eller i templet. 18 De ska ha linneturbaner på huvudet och bära linnebyxor. De får inte bära något som kan få dem att svettas. 19 När de går till den yttre förgården till folket måste de ta av sig tjänstekläderna och lämna dem i de heliga rummen och byta till andra kläder, för att inte överföra klädernas helighet på folket.
20 De får inte raka sitt huvud och inte heller låta sitt hår växa långt, utan hålla det kortklippt. 21 Ingen präst får dricka vin när han går in på den inre förgården. 22 De får inte gifta sig med en änka eller med en frånskild kvinna, utan bara med en jungfru av israelitisk börd eller en änka efter en präst. 23 Prästerna ska lära mitt folk skillnaden mellan det som är heligt och det som är oheligt och undervisa om vad som är rent och vad som är orent.
24 De ska tjäna som domare i rättstvister och döma efter mina bud. De ska hålla mina lagar och föreskrifter för alla mina högtider och hålla mina sabbater heliga.
25 Ingen präst får orena sig genom att komma i närheten av en död, om det inte är hans far, mor, son eller dotter, bror eller ogifta syster; då får de orena sig. 26 Efter sin rening ska han vänta i sju dagar. 27 När han sedan kommer in i helgedomen, in på den inre förgården, för att göra tjänst i helgedomen, ska han bära fram ett syndoffer för sig, säger Herren, Herren.
28 Jag ska vara det enda arv prästerna har. Ni ska inte ge dem någon markegendom. Jag är deras arv. 29 De ska äta av matoffret, syndoffret och skuldoffret. Allting som har vigts åt Herren i Israel tillfaller prästerna. 30 Det bästa av den första frukten och av alla era offergåvor ska tillfalla prästerna. Det första av er spannmålsskörd ska ni ge till prästerna, så att en välsignelse kan vila över era hem. 31 Präster får aldrig äta något självdött eller ihjälrivet djur.
