Inilarawan ni Ezekiel ang Paglaya ng Israel
12 Sinabi sa akin ni Yahweh, 2 “Ezekiel,(A) anak ng tao, nasa gitna ka ng isang mapaghimagsik na bayan. May mga mata sila ngunit hindi nakakakita; may mga tainga ngunit hindi naman nakakarinig 3 sapagkat sila'y mapaghimagsik. Kaya nga, magbalot ka ng kailangan mo sa paglalakbay bilang isang bihag. Bago dumating ang gabi, maglalakad ka sa lansangan nang nakikita nila at baka sakaling makaunawa sila sa kabila ng pagiging mapaghimagsik na lahi. 4 Samantalang maliwanag pa, maghanda ka ng iyong dala-dalahan nang nakikita nila at kinagabihan ay maglalakad kang parang manlalakbay. 5 Pagkatapos, bumutas ka sa pader at doon ka magdaan. 6 Pasanin mo ang iyong dala-dalahan at lumakad kang nakikita nila. Magtakip ka ng mukha para hindi mo makita ang lupain pag-alis mo pagkat ikaw ang gagawin kong pinakababala sa mga Israelita.”
7 At ginawa ko ang lahat ayon sa utos sa akin. Nang araw na iyon, naghanda ako ng aking madadala bilang isang takas. Kinagabihan, sa pamamagitan lamang ng aking mga kamay, bumutas ako sa pader at nagpatuloy sa paglalakbay na nakikita nila habang pasan ko ang aking mga dala-dalahan.
8 Kinaumagahan, sinabi sa akin ni Yahweh, 9 “Ezekiel, anak ng tao, hindi ba't itinanong sa iyo ng mapaghimagsik na mga Israelitang yaon kung ano ang iyong ginagawa? 10 Sabihin mo sa kanila na ipinapasabi ko: ‘Ang pahayag na ito ay para sa pinuno ng Jerusalem at sa buong Israel. 11 Sabihin mong ang ginawa mo ay pinakababala sa gagawin sa kanila: Itatapon sila, at ipapabihag.’ 12 Pagdilim, papasanin ng pinuno ng Jerusalem ang kanyang dala-dalahan at tatakas sa pamamagitan ng butas sa pader. Magtatakip siya ng kanyang mukha para hindi niya makita ang lupaing iiwan niya. 13 Ngunit(B) susukluban ko siya ng lambat. Huhulihin ko siya at dadalhin sa Babilonia kung saan doon siya mamamatay nang hindi ito nakikita. 14 Ang mga nasasakupan niya ay pangangalatin ko sa lahat ng dako, ang kanyang mga lingkod at buong hukbo. Ang mga ito'y uusigin ko sa pamamagitan ng tabak. 15 At kung mapangalat ko na sila sa iba't ibang lugar, makikilala nilang ako si Yahweh. 16 Ngunit may ilan akong ititira sa kanila para saanman sila mapunta ay maikuwento nila ang kasuklam-suklam nilang gawain. Sa gayon, makikilala nilang ako si Yahweh.”

17 Sinabi sa akin ni Yahweh, 18 “Ezekiel, anak ng tao, manginig ka sa takot habang kumakain at umiinom. 19 Sabihin mo sa kanila, ‘Ipinapasabi ng Panginoong Yahweh sa mga Israelita, Kakain kayo at iinom nang nanginginig sa takot. Ang lunsod ay paghaharian ng lagim sapagkat magaganap ang karahasan sa kabi-kabila. 20 Ang mga lunsod ay mawawalan ng tao, at magiging pook ng lagim ang lupain. Sa gayon, makikilala nilang ako si Yahweh.’”

21 Sinabi sa akin ni Yahweh, 22 “Ezekiel, anak ng tao, laganap ngayon sa buong Israel ang kasabihang, ‘Humahaba ang mga araw ngunit isa man sa mga hula'y walang katuparang natatanaw.’ 23 Sabihin mo sa kanilang mawawala na ang kasabihang iyan, hindi na ito maririnig sa Israel. Sabihin mo ring malapit nang matupad ang lahat ng inihayag sa kanila. 24 Mula ngayo'y mawawala na ang maling pagpapahayag sa sambayanang Israel. 25 Akong si Yahweh ang magsasabi ng dapat sabihin. Hindi na magtatagal, mga Israelitang mapaghimagsik, at mangyayari sa inyong kapanahunan ang lahat ng aking sasabihin.”
26 Sinabi pa sa akin ni Yahweh, 27 “Ezekiel, anak ng tao, sinasabi ng mga Israelita na ang nakikita mong mga pangitain ay hindi magkakatotoo kung ngayon lamang. Magtatagal pa raw bago mangyari ang inihahayag mo ngayon. 28 Kaya, sabihin mo sa kanilang ipinapasabi ko: ‘Isa man sa mga sinabi ko'y hindi maaantala. Hindi na magtatagal at magaganap ang lahat ng ito.’”

12 The word of the Lord came to me: 2 “Son of man, you are living among a rebellious people.(A) They have eyes to see but do not see and ears to hear but do not hear, for they are a rebellious people.(B)
3 “Therefore, son of man, pack your belongings for exile and in the daytime, as they watch, set out and go from where you are to another place. Perhaps(C) they will understand,(D) though they are a rebellious people.(E) 4 During the daytime, while they watch, bring out your belongings packed for exile. Then in the evening, while they are watching, go out like those who go into exile.(F) 5 While they watch, dig through the wall(G) and take your belongings out through it. 6 Put them on your shoulder as they are watching and carry them out at dusk. Cover your face so that you cannot see the land, for I have made you a sign(H) to the Israelites.”
7 So I did as I was commanded.(I) During the day I brought out my things packed for exile. Then in the evening I dug through the wall with my hands. I took my belongings out at dusk, carrying them on my shoulders while they watched.
8 In the morning the word of the Lord came to me: 9 “Son of man, did not the Israelites, that rebellious people, ask you, ‘What are you doing?’(J)
10 “Say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: This prophecy concerns the prince in Jerusalem and all the Israelites who are there.’ 11 Say to them, ‘I am a sign(K) to you.’
“As I have done, so it will be done to them. They will go into exile as captives.(L)
12 “The prince among them will put his things on his shoulder at dusk(M) and leave, and a hole will be dug in the wall for him to go through. He will cover his face so that he cannot see the land.(N) 13 I will spread my net(O) for him, and he will be caught in my snare;(P) I will bring him to Babylonia, the land of the Chaldeans,(Q) but he will not see(R) it, and there he will die.(S) 14 I will scatter to the winds all those around him—his staff and all his troops—and I will pursue them with drawn sword.(T)
15 “They will know that I am the Lord, when I disperse them among the nations(U) and scatter them through the countries. 16 But I will spare a few of them from the sword, famine and plague, so that in the nations where they go they may acknowledge all their detestable practices. Then they will know that I am the Lord.(V)”
17 The word of the Lord came to me: 18 “Son of man, tremble as you eat your food,(W) and shudder in fear as you drink your water. 19 Say to the people of the land: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says about those living in Jerusalem and in the land of Israel: They will eat their food in anxiety and drink their water in despair, for their land will be stripped of everything(X) in it because of the violence of all who live there.(Y) 20 The inhabited towns will be laid waste and the land will be desolate. Then you will know that I am the Lord.(Z)’”
There Will Be No Delay
21 The word of the Lord came to me: 22 “Son of man, what is this proverb(AA) you have in the land of Israel: ‘The days go by and every vision comes to nothing’?(AB) 23 Say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am going to put an end to this proverb, and they will no longer quote it in Israel.’ Say to them, ‘The days are near(AC) when every vision will be fulfilled.(AD) 24 For there will be no more false visions or flattering divinations(AE) among the people of Israel. 25 But I the Lord will speak what I will, and it shall be fulfilled without delay.(AF) For in your days, you rebellious people, I will fulfill(AG) whatever I say, declares the Sovereign Lord.(AH)’”
26 The word of the Lord came to me: 27 “Son of man, the Israelites are saying, ‘The vision he sees is for many years from now, and he prophesies about the distant future.’(AI)
28 “Therefore say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: None of my words will be delayed any longer; whatever I say will be fulfilled, declares the Sovereign Lord.’”

12 The word of the Lord also came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they are a rebellious house.
3 Therefore, thou son of man, prepare thee stuff for removing, and remove by day in their sight; and thou shalt remove from thy place to another place in their sight: it may be they will consider, though they be a rebellious house.
4 Then shalt thou bring forth thy stuff by day in their sight, as stuff for removing: and thou shalt go forth at even in their sight, as they that go forth into captivity.
5 Dig thou through the wall in their sight, and carry out thereby.
6 In their sight shalt thou bear it upon thy shoulders, and carry it forth in the twilight: thou shalt cover thy face, that thou see not the ground: for I have set thee for a sign unto the house of Israel.
7 And I did so as I was commanded: I brought forth my stuff by day, as stuff for captivity, and in the even I digged through the wall with mine hand; I brought it forth in the twilight, and I bare it upon my shoulder in their sight.
8 And in the morning came the word of the Lord unto me, saying,
9 Son of man, hath not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said unto thee, What doest thou?
10 Say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; This burden concerneth the prince in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel that are among them.
11 Say, I am your sign: like as I have done, so shall it be done unto them: they shall remove and go into captivity.
12 And the prince that is among them shall bear upon his shoulder in the twilight, and shall go forth: they shall dig through the wall to carry out thereby: he shall cover his face, that he see not the ground with his eyes.
13 My net also will I spread upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare: and I will bring him to Babylon to the land of the Chaldeans; yet shall he not see it, though he shall die there.
14 And I will scatter toward every wind all that are about him to help him, and all his bands; and I will draw out the sword after them.
15 And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall scatter them among the nations, and disperse them in the countries.
16 But I will leave a few men of them from the sword, from the famine, and from the pestilence; that they may declare all their abominations among the heathen whither they come; and they shall know that I am the Lord.
17 Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
18 Son of man, eat thy bread with quaking, and drink thy water with trembling and with carefulness;
19 And say unto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord God of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and of the land of Israel; They shall eat their bread with carefulness, and drink their water with astonishment, that her land may be desolate from all that is therein, because of the violence of all them that dwell therein.
20 And the cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall be desolate; and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
21 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
22 Son of man, what is that proverb that ye have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision faileth?
23 Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord God; I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say unto them, The days are at hand, and the effect of every vision.
24 For there shall be no more any vain vision nor flattering divination within the house of Israel.
25 For I am the Lord: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord God.
26 Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying.
27 Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth is for many days to come, and he prophesieth of the times that are far off.
28 Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord God.
