13 Постоянствувайте в братолюбието.
2 Не забравяйте гостолюбието; понеже чрез него някои, без да знаят, са приели на гости ангели.
3 Помнете затворените, като че сте с тях заедно затворени, - страдащите, като сте и сами вие в тяло.
4 Женитбата <нека бъде> на почит у всички, и леглото неосквернено; защото Бог ще съди блудниците и прелюбодейците.
5 Не се впримчвайте в сребролюбието; задоволявайте се с това, що имате, защото сам <Бог> е рекъл: "Никак няма да те оставя и никак няма да те забравя";
6 така щото дръзновено казваме: "Господ ми е помощник; няма да се убоя; Какво ще ми стори човек?"
7 Помнете ония, които са ви били наставници, които са ви говорили Божието слово; и като се взирате в сетнината на техния начин на живеене, подражавайте вярата им.
8 Исус Христос е същият вчера днес и до века.
9 Не се завличайте от разни и странни учения; защото е добре сърцето да се укрепява с благодат, а не с <наредби за> ястия, от които не са се ползували ония, които не са се водили по {Гръцки: Са ходили в.} тях.
10 Ние имаме олтар, от който нямат право да ядат служащите в скинията.
11 Защото се изгарят вън от стана телата на животните, чиято кръв, първосвещеникът внася в светилището <като жертва> за греховете.
12 Затова и Исус, за да освети людете чрез Собствената Си кръв, пострада вън от <градската> порта.
13 Прочее, нека излизаме и ние към Него вън от стана, понасяйки позор за Него.
14 Защото тук нямаме постоянен град, но търсим бъдещия.
15 Прочее, чрез Него нека принасяме на Бога непрестанно хвалебна жертва, сиреч, плод от устни, които изповядват Неговото име.
16 А не забравяйте да <правите> благодеяния и да споделяте с другите <благата си;> защото такива жертви са угодни на Бога.
17 бъдете послушни на вашите наставници и покорявайте <им> се, (защото те бдят за душите ви, като отговорни за <тях>), за да изпълнят това <бдение> с радост, а не с въздишане; защото <да бдят с въздишане> не <би било> полезно за вас.
18 Молете се за нас, защото сме уверени, че имаме чиста съвест и искаме да се обхождаме във всичко честно.
19 А особено <ви> се моля да правите това, за да ви бъда по-скоро повърнат.
20 А Бог на мира, Който чрез кръвта на единия вечен завет е въздигнал от мъртвите великия Пастир на овцете, нашия Господ Исус,
21 дано ви усъвършенствува във всяко добро нещо, за да вършите Неговата воля, като действува във вас това, което е угодно пред Него чрез Исуса Христа, Комуто да бъде слава във вечни векове. Амин.

13 Продължавайте да се обичате като братя и сестри в Христос. 2 Не забравяйте да сте гостоприемни, защото така, без да знаят, някои са посрещали в домовете си ангели. 3 Спомняйте си за затворниците сякаш сте заедно с тях в затвора. Не забравяйте страдащите, защото и вие имате тяло, което може да бъде подложено на страдания.
4 Бракът трябва да се почита от всички и брачното легло да се пази неопетнено, защото Бог ще съди сексуално неморалните и прелюбодейците. 5 Не робувайте на любовта към парите и се задоволявайте с това, което имате, защото Бог е казал: „Никога няма да те изоставя. Никога няма да те напусна.“(A) 6 Затова уверено можем да кажем:
„Господ ми помага, няма защо да се страхувам.
Какво би могъл да ми стори човек?“(B)
7 Помнете водачите си, които ви учеха на Божието послание — размислете как живяха и как умряха, и бъдете като тях във вярата. 8 Исус Христос е същият и вчера, и днес, и завинаги. 9 Не се оставяйте да ви отклонят различни учения, чужди на Благата вест. За предпочитане е да укрепвате сърцата си с благодат, а не с правила за храни, които не помогнаха на онези, които ги спазваха.
10 Имаме олтар, от който свещениците, служещи в скинията, нямат право да ядат. 11 Първосвещеникът отнася кръвта на жертвените животни в Най-Святото Място като принос за греховете, а телата на тези животни се изгарят вън от стана. 12 Така и Исус страда и умря извън градската порта, за да направи хората святи чрез собствената си кръв. 13 Затова да отидем при него извън стана и споделим с него срама му. 14 Защото тук нямаме постоянен град, а търсим бъдещия. 15 И нека чрез Исус непрестанно принасяме на Бога жертва на възхвала, тоест плода на устните ни, изповядващи неговото име. 16 Не пропускайте да вършите добро и да споделяте каквото имате, защото именно такива жертви радват Бога.
17 Слушайте водачите си и им се подчинявайте, защото те бдят за душите ви и ще отговарят за вас. Така те ще могат да вършат работата си с радост, а не с болка и скръб, което няма да ви е от полза.
18 Молете се за нас. Уверени сме, че съвестта ни е чиста и винаги се опитваме да постъпваме правилно. 19 Най-настоятелно ви моля за това, за да мога час по-скоро да бъда отново изпратен при вас.
Последни думи и поздрави
20 Нека Богът на мира, който чрез кръвта на вечния завет възкреси от мъртвите великия пастир на овцете — нашия Господ Исус, 21 ви снабди с всичко добро, за да изпълните волята му. И нека чрез Исус Христос постигне в нас онова, което го радва. На Исус Христос да бъде славата завинаги! Амин.

VI. Final Exhortation, Blessing, Greetings
Chapter 13
1 [a]Let mutual love continue. 2 Do not neglect hospitality, for through it some have unknowingly entertained angels.(A) 3 Be mindful of prisoners as if sharing their imprisonment, and of the ill-treated as of yourselves, for you also are in the body.(B) 4 Let marriage be honored among all and the marriage bed be kept undefiled, for God will judge the immoral and adulterers.(C) 5 Let your life be free from love of money but be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never forsake you or abandon you.”(D) 6 Thus we may say with confidence:
“The Lord is my helper,
[and] I will not be afraid.
What can anyone do to me?”(E)
7 Remember your leaders who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.(F)
9 Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teaching.[b] It is good to have our hearts strengthened by grace and not by foods, which do not benefit those who live by them.(G) 10 We have an altar[c] from which those who serve the tabernacle have no right to eat. 11 The bodies of the animals whose blood the high priest brings into the sanctuary as a sin offering are burned outside the camp.(H) 12 Therefore, Jesus also suffered outside the gate, to consecrate the people by his own blood.(I) 13 Let us then go to him outside the camp, bearing the reproach that he bore. 14 For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the one that is to come.(J) 15 Through him [then] let us continually offer God a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of lips that confess his name.(K) 16 Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have; God is pleased by sacrifices of that kind.(L)
17 [d]Obey your leaders and defer to them, for they keep watch over you and will have to give an account, that they may fulfill their task with joy and not with sorrow, for that would be of no advantage to you.
18 Pray for us, for we are confident that we have a clear conscience, wishing to act rightly in every respect. 19 I especially ask for your prayers that I may be restored to you very soon.
20 [e]May the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep by the blood of the eternal covenant, Jesus our Lord,(M) 21 furnish you with all that is good, that you may do his will. May he carry out in you what is pleasing to him through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever [and ever]. Amen.
22 Brothers, I ask you to bear with this message of encouragement, for I have written to you rather briefly. 23 I must let you know that our brother Timothy has been set free. If he comes soon, I shall see you together with him.(N) 24 Greetings to all your leaders and to all the holy ones. Those from Italy send you greetings. 25 Grace be with all of you.(O)

- 13:1–16 After recommendations on social and moral matters (Hb 13:1–6), the letter turns to doctrinal issues. The fact that the original leaders are dead should not cause the recipients of this letter to lose their faith (Hb 13:7), for Christ still lives and he remains always the same (Hb 13:8). They must not rely for their personal sanctification on regulations concerning foods (Hb 13:9), nor should they entertain the notion that Judaism and Christianity can be intermingled (Hb 13:10; cf. notes on Gal 2:11–14; 2:15–21). As Jesus died separated from his own people, so must the Christian community remain apart from the religious doctrines of Judaism (Hb 13:11–14). Christ must be the heart and center of the community (Hb 13:15–16).
- 13:9 Strange teaching: this doctrine about foods probably refers to the Jewish food laws; in view of Hb 13:10, however, the author may be thinking of the Mosaic sacrificial banquets.
- 13:10 We have an altar: this does not refer to the Eucharist, which is never clearly mentioned in Hebrews, but to the sacrifice of Christ.
- 13:17–25 Recommending obedience to the leaders of the community, the author asks for prayers (Hb 13:17–19). The letter concludes with a blessing (Hb 13:20–21), a final request for the acceptance of its message (Hb 13:22), information regarding Timothy (Hb 13:23), and general greetings (Hb 13:24–25).
- 13:20–21 These verses constitute one of the most beautiful blessings in the New Testament. The resurrection of Jesus is presupposed throughout Hebrews, since it is included in the author’s frequently expressed idea of his exaltation, but this is the only place where it is explicitly mentioned.

Concluding Exhortations
13 Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.(A) 2 Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers,(B) for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.(C) 3 Continue to remember those in prison(D) as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.
4 Marriage should be honored by all,(E) and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.(F) 5 Keep your lives free from the love of money(G) and be content with what you have,(H) because God has said,
6 So we say with confidence,
7 Remember your leaders,(K) who spoke the word of God(L) to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate(M) their faith. 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.(N)

15 Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice(AD) of praise—the fruit of lips(AE) that openly profess his name. 16 And do not forget to do good and to share with others,(AF) for with such sacrifices(AG) God is pleased.
17 Have confidence in your leaders(AH) and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you(AI) as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.
18 Pray for us.(AJ) We are sure that we have a clear conscience(AK) and desire to live honorably in every way. 19 I particularly urge you to pray so that I may be restored to you soon.(AL)
Benediction and Final Greetings
20 Now may the God of peace,(AM) who through the blood of the eternal covenant(AN) brought back from the dead(AO) our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep,(AP) 21 equip you with everything good for doing his will,(AQ) and may he work in us(AR) what is pleasing to him,(AS) through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. 22 Brothers and sisters, I urge you to bear with my word of exhortation, for in fact I have written to you quite briefly.(AU)
