Уверование Шаула
9 Шаул по-прежнему кипел ненавистью, желая смерти ученикам Повелителя Исы. Он пришёл к верховному священнослужителю 2 и попросил у него письма в Дамаск к молитвенным домам иудеев, чтобы он мог арестовывать и приводить в Иерусалим всех принадлежащих Пути[a], кого сможет найти там, будь то мужчины или женщины.
3 В дороге, когда он уже приближался к Дамаску, его внезапно озарил свет с неба. 4 Он упал на землю и услышал голос:
– Шаул, Шаул, почему ты гонишь Меня?
5 – Кто Ты, Владыка? – спросил Шаул.
– Я Иса, Которого ты преследуешь, – ответил голос. – 6 Вставай и иди в город, там тебе скажут, что ты должен делать.
7 Люди, путешествовавшие вместе с Шаулом, стояли онемев: они слышали звук, но никого не видели. 8 Шаул поднялся с земли, но когда он открыл глаза, оказалось, что он ничего не видит; и его за руку привели в Дамаск. 9 Три дня он был слеп и ничего не ел и не пил.
10 В Дамаске жил ученик Исы по имени Анания. Повелитель Иса сказал ему в видении:
– Анания!
– Да, Повелитель, – ответил тот.
11 Повелитель сказал ему:
– Пойди на улицу Прямую в дом Иуды и спроси там человека из Тарса по имени Шаул. Он сейчас молится, 12 и в видении он видел человека по имени Анания, который пришёл и возложил на него руки, чтобы он прозрел.
13 Анания ответил:
– Повелитель, я от многих людей слышал об этом человеке, о том, как много зла он причинил святому народу Твоему в Иерусалиме. 14 И сюда он пришёл, получив от главных священнослужителей полномочия арестовывать всех, кто призывает Твоё имя.
15 Но Повелитель сказал ему:
– Иди, потому что человек этот – Моё орудие, которое Я избрал, чтобы возвестить имя Моё перед язычниками, перед царями и перед народом Исраила. 16 Я покажу ему и то, сколько ему предстоит пострадать из-за Моего имени.
17 Анания пошёл, вошёл в тот дом, возложил на Шаула руки и сказал:
– Брат Шаул, Повелитель Иса, Который явился тебе на твоём пути сюда, послал меня к тебе, чтобы ты опять мог видеть и был исполнен Святого Духа.
18 В тот же момент будто чешуя спала с глаз Шаула, и он прозрел. Он встал и прошёл обряд погружения в воду[b]. 19 Затем он поел, и к нему вернулись силы.
Служение Шаула в Дамаске
Шаул провёл несколько дней с учениками в Дамаске 20 и сразу же начал возвещать в молитвенных домах иудеев о том, что Иса – Сын Всевышнего (Царственный Спаситель)[c]. 21 Все, кто его слышал, удивлялись и говорили:
– Разве не он истреблял в Иерусалиме призывающих это имя, и разве он не пришёл сюда, чтобы арестовывать их и вести к главным священнослужителям?
22 Шаул проповедовал всё с большей силой и приводил в замешательство живших в Дамаске иудеев, доказывая, что Иса и есть обещанный Масих.
23 Когда же прошло немало дней, среди иудеев был составлен заговор с целью убить Шаула. 24 Однако Шаулу стало известно об этом. Заговорщики день и ночь сторожили у ворот города, чтобы убить его, 25 но его ученики ночью взяли и спустили его в корзине по городской стене.
Служение Шаула в Иерусалиме
26 Шаул пришёл в Иерусалим и пытался присоединиться к ученикам Исы, но они боялись его и не верили, что он тоже ученик. 27 Варнава же привёл его к посланникам Масиха и рассказал им о том, как Шаул на пути встретил Повелителя Ису, как Повелитель говорил с ним и как в Дамаске он смело проповедовал от имени Исы. 28 В Иерусалиме Шаул повсюду был с посланниками Масиха, смело проповедуя там от имени Повелителя. 29 Он часто беседовал и спорил с грекоязычными иудеями, и те пытались убить его. 30 Когда братья узнали об этом, они отвели Шаула в Кесарию и оттуда отправили его в Тарс.
31 Между тем, для общины верующих по всей Иудее, Галилее и Самарии наступило мирное время. Община укреплялась и росла, живя в страхе перед Повелителем и получая ободрение от Святого Духа.
Исцеление Энея
32 Петир, посещая город за городом, решил навестить и верующих, живущих в Лидде. 33 Там был один человек, которого звали Эней, он был парализован и не вставал с постели восемь лет. 34 Петир сказал ему:
– Эней! Иса Масих исцеляет тебя! Встань и собери постель!
В тот же момент Эней встал. 35 Когда все жители Лидды и Шарона увидели его исцелённым, они стали последователями Повелителя.
Воскресение Тавифы
36 В Иоппии[d] была одна ученица Исы по имени Тавифа, что значит «газель». Тавифа всегда делала добро и помогала бедным. 37 И вот в это время она заболела и умерла. Её омыли и положили в верхней комнате. 38 Поскольку Лидда находится недалеко от Иоппии, ученики, услышав, что Петир находится там, послали к нему двух человек с просьбой:
– Приди срочно к нам!
39 Петир пошёл с ними, и когда он прибыл, его провели в верхнюю комнату. Вокруг него собрались все вдовы. Они плакали и показывали ему платья и другую одежду, которую сшила им Газель. 40 Петир выслал всех из комнаты, стал на колени и помолился. Затем он повернулся к умершей и сказал:
– Тавифа, встань!
Она открыла глаза, увидела Петира и села. 41 Он взял её за руку и помог встать на ноги. Затем он созвал вдов и других верующих и представил им Тавифу живой. 42 Об этом стало известно во всей Иоппии, и много людей поверило в Повелителя.
43 Петир пробыл в Иоппии ещё немало дней, он остановился у кожевника Шимона.

«Saulo, Saulo, perché mi perseguiti?»
9 Intanto Saulo, pieno di rabbia e tutto teso a perseguitare i discepoli del Signore, si presentò al sommo sacerdote di Gerusalemme, 2 per chiedergli delle lettere per le sinagoghe di Damasco. Erano lettere che lo autorizzavano ad arrestare tutti i credenti, che avesse trovato a Damasco, uomini e donne, per portarli in catene a Gerusalemme.
3 Durante il viaggio, quando era già vicino a Damasco, improvvisamente una luce dal cielo gli sfolgorò davanti. 4 Saulo cadde a terra e udì una voce che gli diceva: «Saulo, Saulo, perché mi perseguiti?»
5 «Chi sei, Signore?» chiese Saulo. E la voce rispose: «Sono Gesù, quello che stai perseguitando! 6 Ora àlzati e vai in città; là cʼè qualcuno che ti dirà ciò che devi fare».
7 Gli uomini che erano con Saulo rimasero senza parole per la sorpresa, perché sentivano bene la voce, ma non vedevano nessuno. 8-9 Saulo si alzò da terra, e, quando aprì gli occhi sʼaccorse dʼessere cieco. Allora fu portato per mano a Damasco, dove rimase tre giorni, completamente cieco, senza mangiare né bere.
10 In quel periodo viveva a Damasco un cristiano, un certo Ananìa. Durante una visione, il Signore lo chiamò: «Ananìa!»
«Eccomi, Signore!» rispose lui.
11 «Vai per la strada chiamata “Dritta”», proseguì il Signore, «troverai la casa di un certo Giuda. Chiedi di Saulo di Tarso. Sta pregando proprio ora, perché 12 gli ho mostrato in visione un uomo di nome Ananìa che va ad imporgli le mani, perché recuperi la vista!»
13 «Ma Signore», obiettò Ananìa, «ho sentito raccontare da molti quanto male abbia fatto questʼuomo ai credenti di Gerusalemme! 14 So anche che è stato autorizzato dai capi sacerdoti ad arrestare qui tutti quelli che invocano il tuo nome!»
15 Ma il Signore disse: «Vai a fare ciò che tʼho detto. Perché Saulo è lo strumento che ho scelto, per portare il messaggio agli stranieri, ai re e al popolo dʼIsraele. 16 Io stesso gli mostrerò quanto dovrà soffrire per amor mio!»
17 Così Ananìa andò, e trovò Saulo su cui pose le mani, dicendo: «Fratello Saulo, il Signore Gesù, che ti è apparso per strada, mi ha mandato da te, perché tu sia pieno di Spirito Santo e recuperi la vista!»
18 In quel momento fu come se delle scaglie cadessero dagli occhi di Saulo, che allʼistante recuperò la vista. Egli si fece subito battezzare e, 19 dopo aver mangiato, riacquistò le forze. Rimase alcuni giorni a Damasco con i credenti, 20 e subito dopo si mise a predicare nelle sinagoghe il Vangelo di Gesù, figlio di Dio.
21 Tutti quelli che lʼudivano restavano di stucco. «Ma non è quello che a Gerusalemme perseguitava così spietatamente proprio i seguaci di Gesù?» si chiedevano. «Pensavamo fosse venuto qui per arrestare tutti i cristiani e portarli in catene dai capi sacerdoti!»
22 Mentre predicava, il fervore di Saulo aumentava sempre più, e confondeva i Giudei di Damasco, dimostrando che Gesù è il Cristo.
23 Trascorsi molti giorni, i capi giudei si misero dʼaccordo per ucciderlo, 24 ma Saulo fu informato del loro piano. Per riuscire ad ammazzarlo, i Giudei facevano perfino la guardia alle porte della città, giorno e notte. 25 Ma una notte alcuni credenti presero Saulo e lo calarono in una cesta giù dal muro di cinta.
26 Giunto a Gerusalemme, Saulo cercava di unirsi ai discepoli di Gesù, ma tutti avevano paura di lui, perché non potevano credere che fosse davvero convertito. 27 Allora Bàrnaba lo portò dagli apostoli e raccontò loro come Saulo avesse visto il Signore sulla via di Damasco, ciò che il Signore gli aveva detto e come predicava con fervore nel nome di Gesù. 28 Da allora Saulo fu accolto fra di loro. Andava e veniva con i credenti a Gerusalemme, 29 e predicava senza peli sulla lingua nel nome del Signore Gesù. Sʼintratteneva anche con gli Ellenisti, con cui spesso discuteva; ma costoro, ad un certo punto, cercarono dʼucciderlo. 30 Quando gli altri credenti seppero del pericolo che stava correndo, condussero Saulo a Cesarèa, e da là lo rimandarono a casa sua, a Tarso.
31 Intanto la Chiesa viveva in pace in tutta la Giudea, la Galilea e la Samaria, e cresceva in forza e numero. I credenti imparavano a vivere nel timore del Signore e con lʼaiuto dello Spirito Santo.
Due miracoli straordinari
32 Mentre Pietro visitava, viaggiando da un posto allʼaltro, i credenti, giunse anche dai fedeli della città di Lidda. 33 Qui incontrò un uomo di nome Enea, che da otto anni era paralizzato e costretto in un letto.
34 Pietro gli disse: «Enea, Gesù Cristo ti guarisce! Àlzati e rifatti il letto!» Subito lʼuomo si alzò. 35 Vedendo Enea camminare, tutti gli abitanti di Lidda e di Saròn si convertirono al Signore.
36 Nella città di Giaffa cʼera una discepola di nome Tabità, (che significa Gazzella), che non si risparmiava nelle buone opere, specialmente verso i poveri. 37 Proprio in quel periodo Tabità sʼammalò e morì. I suoi amici la prepararono per il funerale. Dopo averla lavata, la composero in una stanza del piano di sopra. 38 Siccome Giaffa era poco lontana da Lidda, quando i credenti di Giaffa vennero a sapere che Pietro era a Lidda, mandarono due uomini a chiedergli subito di andare da loro. 39 Pietro li seguì. Non appena arrivò, lo portarono di sopra, dove giaceva Tabità. La camera era piena di vedove che, piangendo, mostrarono a Pietro i mantelli e gli altri indumenti che Tabità aveva fatto quando era ancora con loro. 40 Allora Pietro fece uscire tutti dalla stanza; poi si inginocchiò e pregò. Rivolgendosi al corpo esanime disse: «Àlzati, Tabità!» A queste parole, la donna aprì gli occhi e, quando vide Pietro, si sedette. 41 Lʼapostolo le diede la mano e lʼaiutò ad alzarsi, poi chiamò gli altri credenti e le vedove, a cui la presentò viva e vegeta!
42 La notizia della resurrezione di Tabità si sparse velocemente per tutta Giaffa, e molti credettero nel Signore. 43 Pietro rimase a Giaffa per parecchi giorni, in casa di un certo Simone, che lavorava il cuoio.

9 And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,
2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.
3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:
4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
7 And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.
8 And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.
9 And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.
10 And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.
11 And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth,
12 And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight.
13 Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:
14 And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name.
15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:
16 For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.
17 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.
18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.
19 And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus.
20 And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.
21 But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests?
22 But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ.
23 And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel to kill him:
24 But their laying await was known of Saul. And they watched the gates day and night to kill him.
25 Then the disciples took him by night, and let him down by the wall in a basket.
26 And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself to the disciples: but they were all afraid of him, and believed not that he was a disciple.
27 But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared unto them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.
28 And he was with them coming in and going out at Jerusalem.
29 And he spake boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, and disputed against the Grecians: but they went about to slay him.
30 Which when the brethren knew, they brought him down to Caesarea, and sent him forth to Tarsus.
31 Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.
32 And it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all quarters, he came down also to the saints which dwelt at Lydda.
33 And there he found a certain man named Aeneas, which had kept his bed eight years, and was sick of the palsy.
34 And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately.
35 And all that dwelt at Lydda and Saron saw him, and turned to the Lord.
36 Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.
37 And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber.
38 And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them.
39 Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.
40 But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up.
41 And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive.
42 And it was known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord.
43 And it came to pass, that he tarried many days in Joppa with one Simon a tanner.

9 Datapuwa't si Saulo, na sumisilakbo pa ng mga pagbabanta at pagpatay laban sa mga alagad ng Panginoon, ay naparoon sa dakilang saserdote,
2 At humingi sa kaniya ng mga sulat sa Damasco sa mga sinagoga, upang kung siya'y makasumpong ng sinoman sa mga nasa Daan, maging mga lalake o mga babae, ay kaniya silang madalang gapos sa Jerusalem.
3 At sa kaniyang paglalakad, ay nangyari na siya'y malapit sa Damasco: at pagdaka'y nagliwanag sa palibot niya ang isang ilaw mula sa langit:
4 At siya'y nasubasob sa lupa, at nakarinig ng isang tinig na sa kaniya'y nagsasabi, Saulo, Saulo, bakit mo ako pinaguusig?
5 At sinabi niya, Sino ka baga, Panginoon? At sinabi niya, Ako'y si Jesus na iyong pinaguusig:
6 Nguni't magtindig ka, at ikaw ay pumasok sa bayan, at sasalitain sa iyo ang dapat mong gawin.
7 At ang mga taong kasama niya sa paglalakad ay nangatilihan na hindi makapagsalita, na naririnig ang tinig, datapuwa't walang nakikitang sinoman.
8 At nagtindig sa lupa si Saulo; at pagkadilat ng kaniyang mga mata, ay di siya nakakita ng anoman; at kanilang inakay siya sa kamay at ipinasok siya sa Damasco.
9 At siya'y tatlong araw na walang paningin, at hindi kumain ni uminom man.
10 Ngayon nga'y may isang alagad sa Damasco, na nagngangalang Ananias; at sinabi sa kaniya ng Panginoon sa pangitain, Ananias. At sinabi niya, Narito ako, Panginoon.
11 At sinabi sa kaniya ng Panginoon, Magtindig ka, at pumaroon sa lansangang tinatawag na Matuwid, at ipagtanong mo sa bahay ni Judas ang isa na nagngangalang Saulo, lalaking taga Tarso: sapagka't narito, siya'y nananalangin;
12 At nakita niya ang isang lalaking nagngangalang Ananias na pumapasok, at ipinapatong ang kaniyang mga kamay sa kaniya, upang tanggapin niya ang kaniyang paningin.
13 Nguni't sumagot si Ananias, Panginoon, nabalitaan ko sa marami ang tungkol sa taong ito, kung gaano karaming kasamaan ang ginawa niya sa iyong mga banal sa Jerusalem:
14 At dito siya'y may kapahintulutan ng mga pangulong saserdote na gapusin ang lahat ng mga nagsisitawag sa iyong pangalan.
15 Datapuwa't sinabi sa kaniya ng Panginoon, Pumaroon ka: sapagka't siya'y sisidlang hirang sa akin, upang dalhin ang aking pangalan sa harapan ng mga Gentil at ng mga hari, at ng mga anak ni Israel:
16 Sapagka't sa kaniya'y aking ipakikilala kung gaano karaming mga bagay ang dapat niyang tiisin dahil sa aking pangalan.
17 At umalis si Ananias at pumasok sa bahay; at ipinatong ang kaniyang mga kamay sa kaniya na sinabi, Kapatid na Saulo, ang Panginoon, sa makatuwid baga'y si Jesus, na sa iyo'y napakita sa daan na iyong pinanggalingan, ay nagsugo sa akin, upang tanggapin mo ang iyong paningin, at mapuspos ka ng Espiritu Santo.
18 At pagdaka'y nangalaglag mula sa kaniyang mga mata ang mga parang kaliskis, at tinanggap niya ang kaniyang paningin; at siya'y nagtindig at siya'y binautismuhan;
19 At siya'y kumain at lumakas. At siya'y nakisamang ilang araw sa mga alagad na nangasa Damasco.
20 At pagdaka'y kaniyang itinanyag sa mga sinagoga si Jesus, na siya ang Anak ng Dios.
21 At ang lahat ng sa kaniya'y nakarinig ay namangha, at nangagsabi, Hindi baga ito yaong sa Jerusalem ay lumipol sa mga nagsitawag sa pangalang ito? at sa ganitong nasa ay naparito siya, upang sila'y dalhing gapos sa harap ng mga pangulong saserdote.
22 Datapuwa't lalo nang lumakas ang loob ni Saulo, at nilito ang mga Judio na nangananahan sa Damasco, na pinatutunayan na ito ang Cristo.
23 At nang maganap ang maraming mga araw, ay nangagsanggunian ang mga Judio upang siya'y patayin:
24 Datapuwa't napagtalastas ni Saulo ang kanilang banta. At kanilang binantayan naman ang mga pintuang daan sa araw at gabi upang siya'y kanilang patayin:
25 Nguni't kinuha siya sa gabi ng kaniyang mga alagad, at siya'y ibinaba sa kuta na siya'y inihugos na nasa isang balaong.
26 At nang siya'y dumating sa Jerusalem, ay pinagsikapan niyang makipisan sa mga alagad: at silang lahat ay nangatakot sa kaniya, sa di paniniwala na siya'y alagad,
27 Datapuwa't kinuha siya ni Bernabe, at siya'y iniharap sa mga apostol, at sa kanila'y isinaysay kung paanong nakita niya sa daan ang Panginoon, at kinausap siya, at kung paanong siya'y nangaral sa Damasco na may katapangan sa pangalan ni Jesus.
28 At siya'y kasamasama nila, na pumapasok at lumalabas sa Jerusalem,
29 Na nangangaral na may katapangan sa pangalan ng Panginoon: at siya'y nagsalita at nakipagtuligsaan sa mga Greco-Judio; datapuwa't pinagpipilitan nilang siya'y mapatay.
30 At nang maalaman ito ng mga kapatid, ay inihatid nila siya sa Cesarea, at siya'y sinugo nila sa Tarso.
31 Sa gayo'y nagkaroon ng kapayapaan ang iglesia sa buong Judea at Galilea at Samaria palibhasa'y pinagtibay; at, sa paglakad na may takot sa Panginoon at may kaaliwan ng Espiritu Santo, ay nagsisidami.
32 At nangyari, na sa paglalakad ni Pedro sa lahat ng dako, siya'y naparoon naman sa mga banal na nangananahan sa Lidda.
33 At doo'y natagpuan niya ang isang lalake na nagngangalang Eneas, na walo nang taong sumasabanig; sapagka't siya'y lumpo.
34 At sinabi sa kaniya ni Pedro, Eneas, pinagagaling ka ni Jesucristo: magtindig ka, at husayin mo ang iyong higaan. At pagdaka'y nagtindig siya.
35 At siya'y nakita ng lahat ng mga nangananahan sa Lidda at sa Sarona, at sila'y nangagbalik-loob sa Panginoon.
36 Ngayon ay may isang alagad sa Joppe na nagngangalang Tabita, na ang kahuluga'y Dorcas: ang babaing ito'y puspos ng mabubuting gawa at ng pagkaawang gawa na kaniyang ginagawa.
37 At nangyari nang mga araw na yaon, na siya'y nagkasakit, at namatay: at nang siya'y mahugasan na nila, ay kanilang ibinurol siya sa isang silid sa itaas.
38 At sapagka't malapit ang Lidda sa Joppe, pagkabalita ng mga alagad na si Pedro ay naroroon, ay nangagsugo sa kaniya ng dalawa katao, na ipinamamanhik sa kaniya, Huwag kang magluwat ng pagparito sa amin.
39 At nagtindig si Pedro at sumama sa kanila. At pagdating niya, ay inihatid nila sa silid sa itaas: at siya'y niligid ng lahat ng mga babaing bao, na nagsisitangis, at ipinakikita ang mga tunika at ang mga damit na ginawa ni Dorcas, nang ito'y kasama pa nila.
40 Datapuwa't pinalabas silang lahat ni Pedro, at lumuhod, at nanalangin; at pagbaling sa bangkay ay kaniyang sinabi, Tabita, magbangon ka. At iminulat niya ang kaniyang mga mata, at nang makita niya si Pedro, ay naupo siya.
41 At iniabot ni Pedro sa kaniya ang kaniyang kamay, at siya'y itinindig; at tinawag ang mga banal at ang mga babaing bao, at siya'y iniharap niyang buhay.
42 At ito'y nabansag sa buong Joppe: at marami ang mga nagsisampalataya sa Panginoon.
43 At nangyari, na siya'y nanahang maraming mga araw sa Joppe, na kasama ni Simong mangluluto ng balat.

Saul’s Conversion(A)
9 Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord’s disciples.(B) He went to the high priest 2 and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus,(C) so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way,(D) whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem. 3 As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him.(E) 4 He fell to the ground and heard a voice(F) say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?”
5 “Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked.
“I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied. 6 “Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”(G)
7 The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless; they heard the sound(H) but did not see anyone.(I) 8 Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes he could see nothing.(J) So they led him by the hand into Damascus. 9 For three days he was blind, and did not eat or drink anything.
10 In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord called to him in a vision,(K) “Ananias!”
“Yes, Lord,” he answered.
11 The Lord told him, “Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus(L) named Saul, for he is praying. 12 In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias come and place his hands on(M) him to restore his sight.”
13 “Lord,” Ananias answered, “I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your holy people(N) in Jerusalem.(O) 14 And he has come here with authority from the chief priests(P) to arrest all who call on your name.”(Q)
15 But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument(R) to proclaim my name to the Gentiles(S) and their kings(T) and to the people of Israel. 16 I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.”(U)
17 Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on(V) Saul, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”(W) 18 Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized,(X) 19 and after taking some food, he regained his strength.
Saul in Damascus and Jerusalem
Saul spent several days with the disciples(Y) in Damascus.(Z) 20 At once he began to preach in the synagogues(AA) that Jesus is the Son of God.(AB) 21 All those who heard him were astonished and asked, “Isn’t he the man who raised havoc in Jerusalem among those who call on this name?(AC) And hasn’t he come here to take them as prisoners to the chief priests?”(AD) 22 Yet Saul grew more and more powerful and baffled the Jews living in Damascus by proving that Jesus is the Messiah.(AE)
23 After many days had gone by, there was a conspiracy among the Jews to kill him,(AF) 24 but Saul learned of their plan.(AG) Day and night they kept close watch on the city gates in order to kill him. 25 But his followers took him by night and lowered him in a basket through an opening in the wall.(AH)
26 When he came to Jerusalem,(AI) he tried to join the disciples, but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he really was a disciple. 27 But Barnabas(AJ) took him and brought him to the apostles. He told them how Saul on his journey had seen the Lord and that the Lord had spoken to him,(AK) and how in Damascus he had preached fearlessly in the name of Jesus.(AL) 28 So Saul stayed with them and moved about freely in Jerusalem, speaking boldly in the name of the Lord. 29 He talked and debated with the Hellenistic Jews,[a](AM) but they tried to kill him.(AN) 30 When the believers(AO) learned of this, they took him down to Caesarea(AP) and sent him off to Tarsus.(AQ)
31 Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria(AR) enjoyed a time of peace and was strengthened. Living in the fear of the Lord and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it increased in numbers.(AS)
Aeneas and Dorcas
32 As Peter traveled about the country, he went to visit the Lord’s people(AT) who lived in Lydda. 33 There he found a man named Aeneas, who was paralyzed and had been bedridden for eight years. 34 “Aeneas,” Peter said to him, “Jesus Christ heals you.(AU) Get up and roll up your mat.” Immediately Aeneas got up. 35 All those who lived in Lydda and Sharon(AV) saw him and turned to the Lord.(AW)
36 In Joppa(AX) there was a disciple named Tabitha (in Greek her name is Dorcas); she was always doing good(AY) and helping the poor. 37 About that time she became sick and died, and her body was washed and placed in an upstairs room.(AZ) 38 Lydda was near Joppa; so when the disciples(BA) heard that Peter was in Lydda, they sent two men to him and urged him, “Please come at once!”
39 Peter went with them, and when he arrived he was taken upstairs to the room. All the widows(BB) stood around him, crying and showing him the robes and other clothing that Dorcas had made while she was still with them.
40 Peter sent them all out of the room;(BC) then he got down on his knees(BD) and prayed. Turning toward the dead woman, he said, “Tabitha, get up.”(BE) She opened her eyes, and seeing Peter she sat up. 41 He took her by the hand and helped her to her feet. Then he called for the believers, especially the widows, and presented her to them alive. 42 This became known all over Joppa, and many people believed in the Lord.(BF) 43 Peter stayed in Joppa for some time with a tanner named Simon.(BG)
