20 Когда беспорядки утихли, Павел созвал учеников, ободрил их, попрощался и отправился в Македонию. 2 Проходя через разные области, Павел многими словами ободрял верующих. Придя в Грецию, 3 он провел там три месяца. Когда он собирался отплыть в Сирию, иудеи подготовили покушение на него, и он, узнав об этом, решил возвращаться через Македонию. 4 Его сопровождали Сопатр, сын Пирра, из Вереи, фессалоникийцы Аристарх и Секунд, Гай из Дервии и Тимофей, а также Тихик и Трофим из провинции Азия. 5 Они пошли вперед и ожидали нас в Троаде. 6 Мы же после праздника Пресных хлебов отплыли из Филипп и через пять дней присоединились к ним в Троаде. Там мы пробыли семь дней.

7 В первый день недели[a] мы собрались вместе для преломления хлеба. Павел беседовал с ними, и, так как он намеревался на следующий день отправиться в путь, его речь затянулась до полуночи. 8 В верхней комнате, где мы собрались, горело много ламп. 9 На окне сидел молодой человек по имени Евтих. Поскольку Павел долго говорил, Евтих погрузился в глубокий сон и упал на землю с третьего этажа. Когда его подняли, он был мертв. 10 Павел спустился, лег сверху на молодого человека и обнял его.
– Не волнуйтесь, – сказал он, – он жив!
11 Павел поднялся наверх, разломил хлеб и стал есть. На рассвете, закончив говорить, Павел отправился в путь, 12 а молодого человека отвели домой живым, и всех это очень обрадовало.

13 Мы сели на корабль и отправились в Асс, намереваясь забрать там Павла. Он сам так распорядился, потому что хотел отправиться по суше. 14 В Ассе он встретил нас, и мы, взяв его на корабль, отправились в Митилину. 15 Отплыв оттуда, мы на следующий день прибыли к Хиосу. – Вы знаете, как я жил здесь у вас все время с первого дня, когда я пришел в провинцию Азия. 19 Я со смирением и слезами служил Господу, несмотря на все испытания, через которые мне пришлось пройти из-за заговоров иудеев. 20 Я не упускал ничего из того, что было бы полезно вам, проповедуя и уча вас всенародно и по домам. 21 Я говорил и иудеям, и грекам, что они должны в раскаянии обратиться к Богу и верить в нашего Господа Иисуса. 22 Сейчас же я, понуждаемый Духом, иду в Иерусалим, не зная, что там со мной будет. 23 Я знаю лишь, что в каждом городе Святой Дух свидетельствует мне о том, что меня ждут узы и страдания. 24 Но я не дорожу своей жизнью, только бы мне пройти мой путь и завершить порученное мне Господом Иисусом служение – свидетельствовать Радостную Весть о благодати Божьей.
25 И сейчас я знаю, что все вы, с кем я общался и кому возвещал о Царстве, никогда меня больше не увидите. 26 Поэтому я заявляю сегодня: я не повинен ни в чьей погибели[b], 27 потому что я без утайки возвещал вам весь Божий план. 28 Смотрите за собой и за всем стадом, в котором Святой Дух поставил вас руководителями, чтобы вы пасли церковь Божью, которую Он приобрел Себе ценой Своей собственной крови[c]. 29 Я знаю, что когда я уйду, к вам придут лютые волки, а они стада не пощадят. 30 Даже среди вас самих появятся люди, которые станут искажать истину, чтобы увести учеников за собой. 31 Поэтому будьте бдительны! Помните, что я целых три года предупреждал со слезами день и ночь каждого из вас.
32 Сейчас я вверяю вас Богу и слову Его благодати, которое может назидать вас и дать вам наследие среди Его святого народа. 33 Я ни от кого не хотел брать ни серебра, ни золота, ни одежды. 34 Вы сами знаете, что я своими руками зарабатывал на свои нужды и на нужды моих спутников. 35 Во всем, что бы я ни делал, я показывал вам пример того, что так трудясь, мы должны помогать слабым, помня слова Господа Иисуса: «Блаженнее давать, чем принимать».
36 Сказав это, Павел преклонил вместе со всеми колени и помолился. 37 Все плакали и, обнимая Павла, целовали его. 38 Их особенно опечалили его слова о том, что они никогда больше его не увидят. Потом они проводили Павла до корабля.

20 Una vez que se calmó el alboroto, Pablo llamó a los discípulos y, luego de animarlos y abrazarlos, se despidió de ellos y se fue a Macedonia. 2 Después de recorrer aquellas regiones y de animar a los hermanos con largos discursos, se dirigió a Grecia, 3 donde estuvo tres meses. Pero como los judíos le tendieron una emboscada cuando él estaba por embarcarse rumbo a Siria, decidió regresar por Macedonia. 4 Lo acompañaron Sópater de Berea, Aristarco y Segundo, de Tesalónica; Gayo, de Derbe; Timoteo, y Tíquico y Trófimo, de Asia. 5 Pero ellos se adelantaron y nos esperaron en Troas. 6 Nosotros salimos de Filipos en barco, después de la fiesta de los panes sin levadura, y cinco días después nos reunimos con ellos en Troas. Allí nos quedamos siete días.

7 El primer día de la semana los discípulos se reunieron para partir el pan, y Pablo estuvo enseñándoles. Pero como tenía que salir al día siguiente, alargó su discurso hasta la medianoche. 8 En el aposento alto donde se habían reunido había muchas lámparas. 9 Un joven que se llamaba Eutico estaba sentado en la ventana del tercer piso. Como Pablo se extendió demasiado en su predicación, a Eutico lo venció el sueño y se cayó, así que cuando lo levantaron estaba muerto. 10 Entonces Pablo bajó y se echó sobre él, lo abrazó y dijo: «No se alarmen. Está vivo.» 11 Después volvió a subir, y partió el pan y comió; luego siguió hablando hasta que amaneció, y entonces se fue. 12 Para consuelo de todos, al joven se lo llevaron vivo.

13 Nosotros nos embarcamos antes, y navegamos hasta Asón, donde teníamos que recoger a Pablo, pues él había decidido ir allá por tierra. 14 Cuando se reunió con nosotros en Asón, subió a bordo y nos fuimos a Mitilene. 15 Partimos de allí, y al día siguiente estábamos frente a Quío. Al otro día tocamos puerto en Samos, y un día después llegamos a Mileto. 16 Pablo se apresuraba porque, de ser posible, quería estar en Jerusalén el día de Pentecostés, así que había decidido pasar de largo a Éfeso y no detenerse en Asia.

17 Desde Mileto Pablo envió un mensaje a los ancianos de la iglesia de Éfeso, para que se reunieran con él. 18 Cuando los ancianos llegaron, les dijo:
«Ustedes saben cómo me he comportado todo el tiempo, desde el primer día que entré en Asia. 19 Saben que he servido al Señor con toda humildad y con muchas lágrimas, y que he sido puesto a prueba por las intrigas de los judíos. 20 También saben que no me he negado a serles útil, y que en público y en las casas he anunciado y enseñado 21 a los judíos y a los no judíos que deben volverse a Dios, y tener fe en nuestro Señor Jesucristo. 22 Ahora voy a Jerusalén, llevado por el Espíritu, pero no sé lo que allá me espera, 23 a no ser lo que el Espíritu Santo me ha confirmado en todas las ciudades, de que me esperan cárceles y tribulaciones. 24 Pero eso a mí no me preocupa, pues no considero mi vida de mucho valor, con tal de que pueda terminar con gozo mi carrera(A) y el ministerio que el Señor Jesús me encomendó, de hablar del evangelio y de la gracia de Dios. 25 Yo sé que no me volverá a ver ninguno de ustedes, entre quienes he estado proclamando el reino de Dios; 26 por lo tanto, puedo asegurarles que estoy limpio de la sangre de todos, 27 pues no me he negado a anunciarles el plan de Dios. 28 Yo les ruego que piensen en ustedes mismos, y que velen por el rebaño sobre el cual el Espíritu Santo los ha puesto como obispos, para que cuiden de la iglesia del Señor, que el ganó por su propia sangre. 29 Yo sé bien que después de mi partida vendrán lobos rapaces, que no perdonarán al rebaño. 30 Aun entre ustedes mismos, algunos se levantarán y con sus mentiras arrastrarán tras de sí a los discípulos. 31 Por lo tanto, manténganse atentos y recuerden que noche y día, durante tres años, con lágrimas en los ojos siempre he aconsejado a cada uno de ustedes. 32 Ahora los encomiendo a Dios y a su palabra de bondad, la cual puede edificarlos y darles la herencia prometida con todos los que han sido santificados. 33 Nunca he codiciado la plata ni el oro ni el vestido de nadie. 34 Bien saben ustedes que mis manos me han servido para ganar lo que nos faltaba a mí y a los que están conmigo. 35 Siempre les enseñé, y ustedes lo aprendieron, que a los necesitados se les ayuda trabajando como he trabajado yo, y recordando las palabras del Señor Jesús, que dijo: “Hay más bendición en dar que en recibir.”»
36 Dicho esto, Pablo se puso de rodillas y oró con ellos. 37 Todos comenzaron a llorar y, echándose al cuello de Pablo, lo besaron, 38 pues les dolió mucho el que dijera que no lo volverían a ver. Después de eso, lo acompañaron hasta el barco.

Through Macedonia and Greece
20 When the uproar had ended, Paul sent for the disciples(A) and, after encouraging them, said goodbye and set out for Macedonia.(B) 2 He traveled through that area, speaking many words of encouragement to the people, and finally arrived in Greece, 3 where he stayed three months. Because some Jews had plotted against him(C) just as he was about to sail for Syria,(D) he decided to go back through Macedonia.(E) 4 He was accompanied by Sopater son of Pyrrhus from Berea, Aristarchus(F) and Secundus from Thessalonica,(G) Gaius(H) from Derbe, Timothy(I) also, and Tychicus(J) and Trophimus(K) from the province of Asia.(L) 5 These men went on ahead and waited for us(M) at Troas.(N) 6 But we sailed from Philippi(O) after the Festival of Unleavened Bread, and five days later joined the others at Troas,(P) where we stayed seven days.
Eutychus Raised From the Dead at Troas
7 On the first day of the week(Q) we came together to break bread.(R) Paul spoke to the people and, because he intended to leave the next day, kept on talking until midnight. 8 There were many lamps in the upstairs room(S) where we were meeting. 9 Seated in a window was a young man named Eutychus, who was sinking into a deep sleep as Paul talked on and on. When he was sound asleep, he fell to the ground from the third story and was picked up dead. 10 Paul went down, threw himself on the young man(T) and put his arms around him. “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “He’s alive!”(U) 11 Then he went upstairs again and broke bread(V) and ate. After talking until daylight, he left. 12 The people took the young man home alive and were greatly comforted.
Paul’s Farewell to the Ephesian Elders
13 We went on ahead to the ship and sailed for Assos, where we were going to take Paul aboard. He had made this arrangement because he was going there on foot. 14 When he met us at Assos, we took him aboard and went on to Mitylene. 15 The next day we set sail from there and arrived off Chios. The day after that we crossed over to Samos, and on the following day arrived at Miletus.(W) 16 Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus(X) to avoid spending time in the province of Asia,(Y) for he was in a hurry to reach Jerusalem,(Z) if possible, by the day of Pentecost.(AA)
17 From Miletus,(AB) Paul sent to Ephesus for the elders(AC) of the church. 18 When they arrived, he said to them: “You know how I lived the whole time I was with you,(AD) from the first day I came into the province of Asia.(AE) 19 I served the Lord with great humility and with tears(AF) and in the midst of severe testing by the plots of my Jewish opponents.(AG) 20 You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything(AH) that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house. 21 I have declared to both Jews(AI) and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance(AJ) and have faith in our Lord Jesus.(AK)
22 “And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem,(AL) not knowing what will happen to me there. 23 I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me(AM) that prison and hardships are facing me.(AN) 24 However, I consider my life worth nothing to me;(AO) my only aim is to finish the race(AP) and complete the task(AQ) the Lord Jesus has given me(AR)—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.(AS)
25 “Now I know that none of you among whom I have gone about preaching the kingdom(AT) will ever see me again.(AU) 26 Therefore, I declare to you today that I am innocent of the blood of any of you.(AV) 27 For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God.(AW) 28 Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock(AX) of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers.(AY) Be shepherds of the church of God,[a](AZ) which he bought(BA) with his own blood.[b](BB) 29 I know that after I leave, savage wolves(BC) will come in among you and will not spare the flock.(BD) 30 Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples(BE) after them. 31 So be on your guard! Remember that for three years(BF) I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.(BG)
32 “Now I commit you to God(BH) and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance(BI) among all those who are sanctified.(BJ) 33 I have not coveted anyone’s silver or gold or clothing.(BK) 34 You yourselves know that these hands of mine have supplied my own needs and the needs of my companions.(BL) 35 In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”
36 When Paul had finished speaking, he knelt down with all of them and prayed.(BM) 37 They all wept as they embraced him and kissed him.(BN) 38 What grieved them most was his statement that they would never see his face again.(BO) Then they accompanied him to the ship.(BP)
