十誡
5 摩西把所有的以色列人召來，對他們說：「以色列人啊，要留心聽我今天對你們宣講的律例和典章，要學習並謹慎遵行。 2 我們的上帝耶和華曾在何烈山與我們立約， 3 這約不是與我們祖先立的，乃是與我們今天還活著的人立的。 4 耶和華在山上的烈火中面對面跟你們說話。 5 那時，因為你們害怕那烈火，沒有到山上去，我就站在耶和華和你們中間，把耶和華的話傳給你們。耶和華說，
6 「『我是你的上帝耶和華，曾把你領出埃及，使你不再受奴役。
7 「『除我以外，你不可有別的神。
8 「『不可為自己雕刻神像，不可仿照任何飛禽走獸或水族的樣子造神像， 9 不可跪拜它們，也不可供奉它們，因為我——你的上帝耶和華痛恨不貞，我必追討背棄我之人的罪，從父到子直到三四代。 10 但那些愛我、遵守我誡命的人，我必以慈愛待他們，直到千代。
11 「『不可妄用你上帝耶和華的名，違者必被耶和華定罪。
12 「『要遵照你的上帝耶和華的吩咐守安息日為聖日。 13 你一週可工作六天， 14 但第七天是你的上帝耶和華的安息日，你和兒女、僕婢、牛驢等牲畜以及你那裡的外族人在這一天不可做任何工，好讓僕婢和你一樣得到休息。 15 要記住，你曾在埃及做奴隸，你的上帝耶和華伸出臂膀，用大能的手把你從那裡領出來。因此，你的上帝耶和華吩咐你守安息日。
16 「『要遵照你的上帝耶和華的吩咐孝敬父母，以便在你的上帝耶和華要賜給你的土地上享長壽，蒙祝福。
17 「『不可殺人。
18 「『不可通姦。
19 「『不可偷盜。
20 「『不可作偽證陷害人。
21 「『不可貪戀別人的妻子，不可貪圖別人的房屋、田地、僕婢、牛驢或其他任何物品。』
22 「這是耶和華在山上的烈火、烏雲和幽暗中高聲頒佈給你們全體會眾的誡命。此外，祂沒有說別的。祂把這些話寫在兩塊石版上交給我。 23 當時，山上燃燒著烈焰，你們聽見聲音從黑暗中傳來。你們各支派的首領和長老都到我跟前， 24 說，『看啊，我們的上帝耶和華向我們彰顯了祂的榮耀和威嚴，我們聽見了祂從火中發出的聲音。今天我們已經看見，人聽見上帝說話後還能活著。 25 但我們何必冒死，被這烈火吞噬呢？我們若再次聽到我們的上帝耶和華的聲音，必然喪命。 26 世上有誰像我們一樣聽見永活上帝從火中說話後還能活著呢？ 27 你去聽聽我們上帝耶和華所說的話，然後回來告訴我們，我們必聽從、遵行。』
28 「耶和華聽見了你們的話，就對我說，『我聽見了眾人對你說的話，他們所說的都對。 29 但願他們常常敬畏我，遵從我的一切誡命，以便他們和他們的子孫世世代代可以蒙福。 30 你吩咐他們回到自己的帳篷， 31 然後你再回到我這裡來，我要把所有的誡命、律例和典章都賜給你，你要把這些傳授給眾人，使他們可以在我要賜給他們的土地上遵行。』 32 所以，你們要謹遵你們上帝耶和華的吩咐，不可偏離左右。 33 這樣，你們便得享長壽，並且可以在你們將要佔領的土地上興盛。
Devarim 5
Orthodox Jewish Bible
5 And Moshe called kol Yisroel, and said unto them, Shema, Yisroel, to the chukkim and mishpatim which I speak in your ears today, that ye may learn them, and be shomer to do them.
2 Hashem Eloheinu made a Brit with us in Chorev.
3 Hashem made not this Brit with Avoteinu, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive today.
4 Hashem talked with you panim b’panim in the har out of the midst of the eish,
5 (I stood between Hashem and you at that time, to show you the Devar Hashem; for ye were afraid by reason of the eish, and went not up into the har) saying:
6 I am Hashem Eloheicha, Which brought thee out of Eretz Mitzrayim, from the bais avadim.
7 Thou shalt have no elohim acharim before Me.
8 Thou shalt not make thee any pesel, or any temunah of anything that is in Shomayim above, or that is in Ha’Aretz beneath, or that is in the mayim beneath ha’aretz;
9 Lo tishtachaveh (thou shalt not bow down thyself) unto them, nor serve them; for I Hashem Eloheicha am an El Kannah, visiting the iniquity of the avot upon the banim unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate Me,
10 And showing chesed unto thousands of them that love Me and are shomer over My mitzvot.
11 Thou shalt not take the Shem of Hashem Eloheicha in vain; for Hashem will not hold him guiltless that taketh Shmo in vain.
12 Keep shomer Shabbos to set Shabbos apart as kodesh as Hashem Eloheicha commanded thee.
13 Sheshet yamim thou shalt labor, and do all thy work:
14 But the Yom HaShevi’i is the Shabbos of Hashem Eloheicha: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy ben, nor thy bat, nor thy eved, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine donkey, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy ger that is within thy she’arim; that thy eved and thy amah may rest as well as thou.
15 And remember that thou wast an eved in Eretz Mitzrayim, and that Hashem Eloheicha brought thee out thence through a yad chazakah and by an outstretched zero’a; therefore Hashem Eloheicha commanded thee to be shomer Shabbos on Yom HaShabbat.
16 Honor thy av and thy em, as Hashem Eloheicha hath commanded thee; that thy yamim may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in ha’adamah which Hashem Eloheicha giveth thee.
17 Lo tirtzah (thou shalt not murder).
18 V’lo tinaf (neither shalt thou commit adultery).
19 V’lo tignov (neither shalt thou steal).
20 V’lo ta’aneh v’reacha ed shav (neither shalt thou bear false witness against thy neighbor).
21 V’lo tachmod (neither shalt thou covet, desiring) thy neighbor’s wife, neither shalt thou covet thy neighbor’s bais, his sadeh, or his eved, or his amah, his ox, or his donkey, or any thing that is thy neighbor’s.
22 These devarim Hashem spoke unto all your Kahal in the mountain out of the midst of the eish, of the anan, and of the thick darkness, with a kol gadol; and He added no more. And He wrote them in two luchot of even (stone), and delivered them unto me.
23 And it came to pass, when ye heard the voice out of the midst of the choshech, (for the har did burn with eish,) that ye came near unto me, even all your Rashei Shvatim (Heads of Tribes), and your Zekenim (Elders);
24 And ye said, Behold, Hashem Eloheinu hath showed us His kavod and His gadol (greatness), and we have heard His voice out of the midst of the eish; we have seen today that Elohim doth talk with man, and he liveth.
25 Now therefore why should we die? For this great eish will consume us; if we hear the voice of Hashem Eloheinu any more, then we shall die.
26 For who is there of all basar, that hath heard the voice of the Elohim Chayyim speaking out of the midst of the eish, as we have, and lived?
27 Go thou near, and hear all that Hashem Eloheinu shall say; and speak thou unto us all that Hashem Eloheinu shall speak unto thee; and we will hear it, and do it.
28 And Hashem heard the voice of your words, when ye spoke unto me; and Hashem said unto me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people, which they have spoken unto thee; they have well said all that they have spoken.
29 O that there were such a lev in them, that they would fear Me, and be shomer mitzvot over all My mitzvot always, that it might be well with them, and with their banim l’olam!
30 Go say to them, Get you into your oholim again.
31 But as for thee, stand thou here by Me, and I will speak unto thee all the mitzvot, and the chukkim, and the mishpatim, which thou shalt teach them, that they may do them in ha’aretz which I give them to possess it.
32 Ye shall be shomer to do therefore as Hashem Eloheicha hath commanded you; ye shall not turn aside to the right or to the left.
33 Ye shall walk in kol HaDerech which Hashem Eloheicha hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your yamim in ha’aretz which ye shall possess [see Ac 21:21].

5 Moisés siguió hablándole al pueblo de Israel y le dijo: «Oigan ahora cuidadosamente estas leyes y normas que Dios les ha dado; apréndanselas, consérvenlas y obedézcanlas.
2-3 »El Señor nuestro Dios hizo un pacto con ustedes en el monte Horeb, no con sus antepasados, sino con ustedes que están aquí vivos hoy día. 4 El Señor habló con ustedes cara a cara desde el centro del fuego en el monte. 5 Yo estaba como mediador entre ustedes y el Señor porque ustedes tenían miedo del fuego y no se quisieron acercar al monte. Él me habló y yo les di sus leyes. Esto es lo que dijo:
6 »Yo soy el Señor tu Dios que te liberó de la esclavitud de Egipto.
7 »No tendrás dioses ajenos delante de mí.
8 »No te harás ídolos, no adorarás imágenes; sean de hombre o mujer, de aves, de animales o de peces. 9-10 No te inclinarás delante de imagen alguna para adorarla de ninguna forma, porque yo, el Señor tu Dios; soy un Dios celoso. Yo castigo la maldad que haga un jefe de clan, incluyendo la tercera y cuarta generación de los que me odian; pero muestro misericordia a muchas generaciones de los que me aman y obedecen mis mandamientos.
11 »No usarás mi nombre en vano. No daré por inocente al que lo haga. Yo el Señor tu Dios.
12 »Guarda el día de reposo como un día santo. Este es mi mandamiento. 13 Trabaja seis días, 14 pero el séptimo le pertenece al Señor tu Dios; en ese día nadie en tu casa debe trabajar: tú, tus hijos e hijas, tus esclavos, tus bueyes, tus burros, ni ninguno de tus animales, ni los extranjeros que se han establecido entre ustedes. Todos deben descansar juntamente contigo, especialmente tus esclavos y tus esclavas. 15 Recuerda que tú mismo fuiste esclavo en Egipto, y el Señor tu Dios te sacó de ese país con gran demostración de poder. Esa es la razón para obedecer este mandamiento.
16 »Honra a tu padre y a tu madre, tal como el Señor tu Dios te ordenó. Si lo haces, tendrás una vida larga y próspera en la tierra que te da.
17 »No matarás, 18 ni cometerás adulterio, 19 ni robarás, 20 ni acusarás falsamente a tu prójimo. 21 Tampoco codiciarás la esposa de otro hombre, ni su casa, ni su tierra, ni sus esclavos, ni sus bueyes, ni sus burros ni cosa alguna que él posea.
22 »El Señor les dio estas leyes cuando estaban congregados como asamblea ante el monte. Él les habló desde el fuego, las nubes y las tinieblas que cubrían el monte Sinaí. Estos fueron los únicos mandamientos que el Señor les dio entonces, y los escribió en dos tablas de piedra que me entregó. 23 Pero cuando ustedes oyeron la voz que salía desde la oscuridad, y vieron el fuego terrible en la cumbre del monte, sus jefes vinieron a mí 24 y me rogaron: “Hoy nuestro Dios nos ha mostrado su gloria y su grandeza; hemos oído su voz desde el centro del fuego. Ahora sabemos que una persona puede oír a Dios y no morir; 25 pero si nos habla nuevamente, de seguro moriremos. ¡Ese fuego terrible nos va a destruir totalmente! 26 ¿Qué mortal puede oír, como hemos oído nosotros, la voz del Dios vivo, que habla desde el fuego, y vivir? 27 Ve tú y escucha todo lo que Dios dice, y luego ven y dínoslo y nosotros oiremos y obedeceremos”.
28 »El Señor accedió a la petición y me dijo: “He oído lo que el pueblo te ha dicho y estoy de acuerdo. 29 Ojalá siempre estuviera dispuesto a obedecer mis mandamientos. Si así fuera, les iría bien en todo a ellos, a sus hijos y a las generaciones futuras. 30 Ve y diles que regresen a sus tiendas. 31 Luego regresa de nuevo a donde estoy. Te daré todos los mandamientos para que se los enseñes al pueblo con el fin de que los pongan en práctica en la tierra que les voy a dar”».
32 Entonces Moisés le dijo al pueblo: «Deben obedecer los mandamientos tal como el Señor su Dios se los ha ordenado. Sigan sus instrucciones al pie de la letra, 33 y manténganse en el derrotero que Dios les trazó. Esa es la única forma en la que tendrán vida larga y próspera en la tierra que pronto entrarán a poseer.
