Якуб со всей семьёй переселяется в Египет
46 Исроил отправился в путь со всем, что у него было, пришёл в Беэр-Шеву и принёс там жертвы Богу своего отца Исхока. 2 Всевышний говорил с Исроилом в ночном видении и сказал:
– Якуб! Якуб!
– Вот я, – ответил Якуб.
3 И сказал Всевышний:
– Я Всевышний, Бог твоего отца. Не бойся пойти в Египет, потому что Я произведу от тебя там великий народ. 4 Я пойду в Египет вместе с тобой, и Я же приведу тебя обратно. И глаза тебе закроет рука Юсуфа.
5 Якуб отправился в путь из Беэр-Шевы. Сыновья Исроила посадили отца, детей и жён в колесницы, которые фараон прислал, чтобы перевезти его. 6 Они взяли с собой скот и имущество, которое нажили в Ханоне; и Якуб со всем своим потомством пришёл в Египет. 7 Он взял с собой в Египет сыновей и внуков, дочерей и внучек – всё своё потомство.

30 Исроил сказал Юсуфу:

– Я пойду к фараону и скажу ему: «Мои братья и дом моего отца, которые жили в земле Ханона, пришли ко мне. 32 Эти люди – пастухи; они разводят скот и привели с собой свои стада, и принесли всё своё имущество». 33 Когда фараон вызовет вас и спросит: «Чем вы занимаетесь?» – 34 вы должны ответить: «Рабы твои с отрочества своего и доныне разводят скот, как делали и наши отцы». Тогда вам будет позволено поселиться в земле Гошен, потому что египтянам отвратительны пастухи.

46 Вскоре Израиль отправился в путешествие в Египет: сначала он пошёл в Вирсавию, где поклонился Богу, Богу Исаака, своего отца, и принёс Ему жертвы. 2 Ночью Бог явился Израилю во сне и заговорил с ним: «Иаков, Иаков!»
Израиль ответил: «Здесь я».
3 Тогда Бог сказал: «Я—Бог, Бог твоего отца. Иди в Египет, не бойся, там Я произведу от тебя великий народ. 4 Я пойду с тобой в Египет, и Я снова выведу тебя из той земли. Ты умрёшь в Египте, но Иосиф будет с тобой и своими руками закроет твои глаза, когда ты умрёшь».

5 После этого Иаков ушёл из Вирсавии и отправился в Египет. Сыновья Израиля везли отца, своих жён и всех своих детей на повозках, посланных фараоном. 6 Они также взяли с собой весь свой скот и всё, чем владели в Ханаанской земле, и Израиль отправился в Египет со всеми своими детьми и со всей своей семьёй. 7 С ним были его сыновья и внуки, дочери и внучки—вся его семья отправилась с ним в Египет.

28 Иаков послал вперёд Иуду, чтобы тот сначала поговорил с Иосифом. Иуда пошёл к Иосифу в землю Гесем, Иаков же со своим семейством следовал за ним. 29 Узнав, что отец уже близко, Иосиф снарядил свою колесницу и отправился навстречу Израилю в Гесем. Увидев отца, Иосиф бросился ему на шею и долго плакал.
30 Израиль сказал Иосифу: «Теперь я могу спокойно умереть, я увидел твоё лицо и знаю, что ты жив».
31 Иосиф обратился к своим братьям и остальному семейству отца, сказав: «Я извещу фараона о вашем прибытии, обратившись к нему с такими словами: „Мои братья и остальное семейство покинули Ханаанскую землю и пришли сюда ко мне. 32 Они—пастухи и всегда выпасали овец и крупный скот, который они привели с собой. Они также привезли с собой всё, чем владеют”. 33 Когда фараон призовёт вас и спросит: „Каким ремеслом вы занимаетесь?”— 34 отвечайте ему: „Мы—пастухи и были пастухами всю жизнь, и предки наши до нас были пастухами”. Тогда фараон позволит вам жить в земле Гесем. Египтяне не любят пастухов, поэтому вам лучше оставаться в этой земле».

Jacob Moves to Egypt
46 So Israel set out with all that he had, and came to (A)Beersheba, and offered sacrifices to the (B)God of his father Isaac. 2 (C)God spoke to Israel [a]in visions of the night and said, “(D)Jacob, Jacob.” And he said, “Here I am.” 3 He said, “(E)I am God, the God of your father; do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will (F)make you a great nation there. 4 (G)I will go down with you to Egypt, and (H)I will also surely bring you up again; and (I)Joseph will [b]close your eyes.”
5 Then Jacob arose from Beersheba; and the sons of Israel carried their father Jacob and their little ones and their wives in the (J)wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him. 6 They took their livestock and their property, which they had acquired in the land of Canaan, and (K)came to Egypt, Jacob and all his [c]descendants with him: 7 his sons and his grandsons with him, his daughters and his granddaughters, and all his [d]descendants he brought with him to Egypt.
Those Who Came to Egypt
8 Now these are the (L)names of the sons of Israel, Jacob and his sons, who went to Egypt: Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn. 9 The sons of Reuben: Hanoch and Pallu and Hezron and Carmi. 10 The (M)sons of Simeon: [e]Jemuel and Jamin and Ohad and [f]Jachin and [g]Zohar and Shaul the son of a Canaanite woman. 11 The sons of Levi: [h]Gershon, Kohath, and Merari. 12 The sons of Judah: Er and Onan and Shelah and Perez and Zerah (but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan). 28 Now he sent Judah before him to Joseph, to point out the way before him to (X)Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen. 29 Joseph [w]prepared his chariot and went up to Goshen to meet his father Israel; as soon as he appeared [x]before him, he fell on his neck and (Y)wept on his neck a long time. 30 Then Israel said to Joseph, “Now let me die, since I have seen your face, that you are still alive.” 31 Joseph said to his brothers and to his father’s household, “(Z)I will go up and tell Pharaoh, and will say to him, ‘My brothers and my father’s household, who were in the land of Canaan, have come to me; 32 and the men are shepherds, for they have been [y]keepers of livestock; and they have brought their flocks and their herds and all that they have.’ 33 When Pharaoh calls you and says, ‘(AA)What is your occupation?’ 34 you shall say, ‘Your servants have been [z](AB)keepers of livestock from our youth even until now, both we and our fathers,’ that you may [aa]live in the land of (AC)Goshen; for every shepherd is [ab](AD)loathsome to the Egyptians.”

Jacob Goes to Egypt
46 So Israel(A) set out with all that was his, and when he reached Beersheba,(B) he offered sacrifices(C) to the God of his father Isaac.(D)
2 And God spoke to Israel(E) in a vision at night(F) and said, “Jacob! Jacob!”
“Here I am,”(G) he replied.
3 “I am God, the God of your father,”(H) he said. “Do not be afraid(I) to go down to Egypt,(J) for I will make you into a great nation(K) there.(L) 4 I will go down to Egypt with you, and I will surely bring you back again.(M) And Joseph’s own hand will close your eyes.(N)”
5 Then Jacob left Beersheba,(O) and Israel’s(P) sons took their father Jacob and their children and their wives in the carts(Q) that Pharaoh had sent to transport him. 6 So Jacob and all his offspring went to Egypt,(R) taking with them their livestock and the possessions(S) they had acquired(T) in Canaan. 7 Jacob brought with him to Egypt(U) his sons and grandsons and his daughters and granddaughters—all his offspring.(V)
8 These are the names of the sons of Israel(W) (Jacob and his descendants) who went to Egypt:
Reuben the firstborn(X) of Jacob.

26 All those who went to Egypt with Jacob—those who were his direct descendants, not counting his sons’ wives—numbered sixty-six persons.(BP) 27 With the two sons[f] who had been born to Joseph in Egypt,(BQ) the members of Jacob’s family, which went to Egypt, were seventy[g] in all.(BR)
28 Now Jacob sent Judah(BS) ahead of him to Joseph to get directions to Goshen.(BT) When they arrived in the region of Goshen, 29 Joseph had his chariot(BU) made ready and went to Goshen to meet his father Israel.(BV) As soon as Joseph appeared before him, he threw his arms around his father[h] and wept(BW) for a long time.(BX)
30 Israel(BY) said to Joseph, “Now I am ready to die, since I have seen for myself that you are still alive.”(BZ)
31 Then Joseph said to his brothers and to his father’s household, “I will go up and speak to Pharaoh and will say to him, ‘My brothers and my father’s household, who were living in the land of Canaan,(CA) have come to me.(CB) 32 The men are shepherds;(CC) they tend livestock,(CD) and they have brought along their flocks and herds and everything they own.’(CE) 33 When Pharaoh calls you in and asks, ‘What is your occupation?’(CF) 34 you should answer, ‘Your servants(CG) have tended livestock from our boyhood on, just as our fathers did.’(CH) Then you will be allowed to settle(CI) in the region of Goshen,(CJ) for all shepherds are detestable to the Egyptians.(CK)”
