9 (A)Видях Господа, застанал до олтара. Той каза:
„Удари капителите и спонците ще се разклатят. Счупи ги върху главите на всички, а ако някои останат живи, ще ги избия с меч. Никой беглец няма да може да избяга и нито един от тях няма да се избави. 2 (B)Дори да стигнат до царството на мъртвите, Моята ръка ще ги измъкне оттам, а ако се изкачат на небето, ще ги сваля отгоре. 3 Ако се скрият на планината Кармил, ще ги открия и ще ги взема, а ако се скрият от очите Ми в морските дълбини, ще заповядам на змията, която е там, да ги ухапе. 4 Ако отидат в плен при враговете си, ще заповядам на меча да ги убие, защото Аз ще ги следя с погледа Си за зло, а не за добро.“
5 (C)Господ, Бог Вседържител, е Онзи, Който се допира до земята и тя се разклаща, и всичките ѝ жители се тревожат, защото тя се вълнува като река, надига се и спада като египетската река. 6 (D)Той строи чертозите Си на небето и основите на свода Си закрепва на земята, призовава морските води да се излеят върху лицето на земята. Господ Вседържител е името Му.
7 „Вие, израилтяните, не сте ли за Мен като етиопците? Не изведох ли Израил от египетската земя, филистимците от Кафтор и арамейците от Кир?“ 8 Ето очите на Господа Бога гледат към грешното царство: „Ще го изтрия от лицето на света, но няма да погубя съвсем дома на Яков – казва Господ, 9 защото, ето Аз решавам да разхвърлям дома Израилев между всички народи, както се сее със сито, без да падне едно камъче на земята. 10 (E)Всички грешници на Моя народ, които казват: ‘Това зло не е за нас, то няма да ни постигне’, ще умрат от меч.
11 (F)В онзи ден ще издигна падналата Давидова скиния и ще съградя проломите ѝ; ще я вдигна от развалините ѝ и ще я възстановя пак, както в древни дни, 12 (G)за да завладеят остатъка от Едом и всички народи, които познават името Ми“ – казва Господ, Който направи това.
13 (H)„Идват дни – казва Господ, когато орачът ще настигне жътваря, а винарят – сеяча. Планините ще подгизнат от вино, което ще потече по хълмовете. 14 (I)Тогава ще върна Своя народ от плен. Те ще възстановят опустелите градове и ще ги населят, ще насадят лозя и ще пият виното им, ще насадят градини и ще ядат плодовете им. 15 И ще ги насадя в земята, която им дадох, и те няма да бъдат вече изтръгвани от нея“ – казва Господ, твоят Бог.

The Destruction of Israel
9 I saw the Lord standing by the altar, and He said:
“Strike the [a]doorposts, that the thresholds may shake,
And (A)break them on the heads of them all.
I will slay the last of them with the sword.
(B)He who flees from them shall not get away,
And he who escapes from them shall not be delivered.
2 “Though(C) they dig into [b]hell,
From there My hand shall take them;
(D)Though they climb up to heaven,
From there I will bring them down;
3 And though they (E)hide themselves on top of Carmel,
From there I will search and take them;
Though they hide from My sight at the bottom of the sea,
From there I will command the serpent, and it shall bite them;
4 Though they go into captivity before their enemies,
From there (F)I will command the sword,
And it shall slay them.
(G)I will set My eyes on them for harm and not for good.”
5 The Lord God of hosts,
He who touches the earth and it (H)melts,
(I)And all who dwell there mourn;
All of it shall swell like [c]the River,
And subside like the River of Egypt.
6 He who builds His (J)layers[d] in the sky,
And has founded His strata in the earth;
Who (K)calls for the waters of the sea,
And pours them out on the face of the earth—
(L)The Lord is His name.
7 “Are you not like the [e]people of Ethiopia to Me,
O children of Israel?” says the Lord.
“Did I not bring up Israel from the land of Egypt,
The (M)Philistines from (N)Caphtor,[f]
And the Syrians from (O)Kir?
8 “Behold, (P)the eyes of the Lord God are on the sinful kingdom,
And I (Q)will destroy it from the face of the earth;
Yet I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob,”
Says the Lord.
9 “For surely I will command,
And will [g]sift the house of Israel among all nations,
As grain is sifted in a sieve;
(R)Yet not the smallest [h]grain shall fall to the ground.
10 All the sinners of My people shall die by the sword,
(S)Who say, ‘The calamity shall not overtake nor confront us.’
Israel Will Be Restored
11 “On(T) that day I will raise up
The [i]tabernacle of David, which has fallen down,
And [j]repair its damages;
I will raise up its ruins,
And rebuild it as in the days of old;
12 (U)That they may possess the remnant of (V)Edom,[k]
And all the Gentiles who are called by My name,”
Says the Lord who does this thing.
13 “Behold, (W)the days are coming,” says the Lord,
“When the plowman shall overtake the reaper,
And the treader of grapes him who sows seed;
(X)The mountains shall drip with sweet wine,
And all the hills shall flow with it.
14 (Y)I will bring back the captives of My people Israel;
(Z)They shall build the waste cities and inhabit them;
They shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them;
They shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them.
15 I will plant them in their land,
(AA)And no longer shall they be pulled up
From the land I have given them,”
Says the Lord your God.

9 Vi al Señor de pie junto al altar(A), y me dijo:
Golpea los capiteles y que se estremezcan los umbrales(B),
y rómpelos sobre la cabeza de todos(C).
Entonces mataré a espada al resto de ellos(D);
no habrá entre ellos fugitivo que huya(E),
ni refugiado de ellos que escape.
2 Aunque caven hasta el Seol[a](F),
de allí los tomará mi mano;
y aunque suban al cielo,
de allí los haré bajar(G).
3 Aunque se escondan en la cumbre del Carmelo,
allí[b] los buscaré y los tomaré(H);
aunque se oculten de[c] mis ojos en el fondo del mar(I),
allí[d] ordenaré a la serpiente que los muerda(J).
4 Aunque vayan al cautiverio delante de sus enemigos,
allí[e] ordenaré a la espada que los mate(K),
y pondré sobre ellos mis ojos para mal y no para bien(L).
5 El Señor, Dios[f] de los ejércitos:
el que toca la tierra(M), y esta se derrite(N),
y se lamentan todos los que en ella habitan,
sube toda ella como el Nilo(O)
y mengua como el Nilo de Egipto;
6 el que edifica en los cielos sus altos aposentos[g](P),
y sobre la tierra ha establecido su bóveda;
el que llama a las aguas del mar
y las derrama sobre la faz de la tierra(Q):
el Señor es su nombre(R).
7 ¿No sois vosotros para mí como hijos de Etiopía[h](S),
oh hijos de Israel? —declara el Señor.
¿No hice yo subir a Israel de la tierra de Egipto(T)
y a los filisteos de Caftor(U) y a los arameos de Kir(V)?
8 He aquí, los ojos del Señor Dios están sobre el reino pecador(W),
y yo lo destruiré de sobre la faz de la tierra(X);
sin embargo, no destruiré totalmente a la casa de Jacob(Y) —declara el Señor.
9 Porque he aquí, yo daré un mandato,
y zarandearé a la casa de Israel entre todas las naciones,
como se zarandea el grano en la criba(Z),
sin que caiga ni un grano[i] en tierra.
10 A espada morirán todos los pecadores de mi pueblo(AA),
los que dicen: «No nos alcanzará ni se nos acercará la desgracia(AB)».

11 En aquel día levantaré el tabernáculo[j] caído de David(AC),
repararé sus brechas(AD),
levantaré sus ruinas,
y lo reedificaré como en tiempo pasado(AE),
12 para que tomen posesión(AF) del remanente de Edom(AG)
y de todas las naciones[k] donde se invoca mi nombre(AH)
—declara el Señor, que hace esto.
13 He aquí, vienen días —declara el Señor—
cuando el arador alcanzará al segador,
y el que pisa la uva al que siembra la semilla(AI);
cuando destilarán vino dulce los montes(AJ),
y todas las colinas se derretirán.
14 Restauraré el bienestar[l] de mi pueblo Israel(AK),
y ellos reedificarán las ciudades asoladas(AL) y habitarán en ellas(AM);
también plantarán viñas(AN) y beberán su vino,
y cultivarán[m] huertos y comerán sus frutos.
15 Los plantaré en su tierra,
y no serán arrancados jamás de la tierra
que les he dado(AO)
—dice el Señor tu Dios.
