9 Видел я Господа стоящим над жертвенником, и Он сказал: ударь в притолоку над воротами, чтобы потряслись косяки, и обрушь их на головы всех их, остальных же из них Я поражу мечом: не убежит у них никто бегущий и не спасется из них никто, желающий спастись.
2 Хотя бы они зарылись в преисподнюю, и оттуда рука Моя возьмет их; хотя бы взошли на небо, и оттуда свергну их.
3 И хотя бы они скрылись на вершине Кармила, и там отыщу и возьму их; хотя бы сокрылись от очей Моих на дне моря, и там повелю морскому змею уязвить их.
4 И если пойдут в плен впереди врагов своих, то повелю мечу и там убить их. Обращу на них очи Мои на беду им, а не во благо.
5 Ибо Господь Бог Саваоф коснется земли, --и она растает, и восплачут все живущие на ней; и поднимется вся она как река, и опустится как река Египетская.
6 Он устроил горние чертоги Свои на небесах и свод Свой утвердил на земле, призывает воды морские, и изливает их по лицу земли; Господь имя Ему.
7 Не таковы ли, как сыны Ефиоплян, и вы для Меня, сыны Израилевы? говорит Господь. Не Я ли вывел Израиля из земли Египетской и Филистимлян--из Кафтора, и Арамлян--из Кира?
8 Вот, очи Господа Бога--на грешное царство, и Я истреблю его с лица земли; но дом Иакова не совсем истреблю, говорит Господь.
9 Ибо вот, Я повелю и рассыплю дом Израилев по всем народам, как рассыпают зерна в решете, и ни одно не падает на землю.
10 От меча умрут все грешники из народа Моего, которые говорят: 'не постигнет нас и не придет к нам это бедствие!'
11 В тот день Я восстановлю скинию Давидову падшую, заделаю трещины в ней и разрушенное восстановлю, и устрою ее, как в дни древние,
12 чтобы они овладели остатком Едома и всеми народами, между которыми возвестится имя Мое, говорит Господь, творящий все сие.
13 Вот, наступят дни, говорит Господь, когда пахарь застанет еще жнеца, а топчущий виноград--сеятеля; и горы источать будут виноградный сок, и все холмы потекут.
14 И возвращу из плена народ Мой, Израиля, и застроят опустевшие города и поселятся в них, насадят виноградники и будут пить вино из них, разведут сады и станут есть плоды из них.
15 И водворю их на земле их, и они не будут более исторгаемы из земли своей, которую Я дал им, говорит Господь Бог твой.

9 Я видел Владыку стоящим у жертвенника[a]. Он сказал:
– Бей по верхушкам колонн,
пусть задрожит порог.
Обрушь их на головы им всем,
а уцелевших Я перебью мечом.
Ни один не укроется,
никто не спасётся.
2 Пусть хоть зароются в мир мёртвых –
и оттуда достанет их Моя рука.
Пусть взберутся на небеса –
и оттуда Я свергну их.
3 Пусть укроются на вершине Кармила –
Я и там отыщу и схвачу их.
Пусть на дне морском спрячутся от Меня –
Я велю там морскому змею, и он ужалит их.
4 Пусть враги уведут их в плен –
прикажу там мечу, и он убьёт их.
Обращу на них свои глаза –
им на беду, а не во благо.
5 Владыка Вечный, Повелитель Сил,
касается земли – и она тает,
а все живущие на ней плачут.
Вся земля поднимается, словно Нил,
и опускается, словно река Египта.
6 Он воздвиг Свой величественный дворец на небесах
и основания его утвердил на земле,
призвал воды морские
и разлил их по лицу земли;
Вечный – Его имя.
7 – Разве вы, исроильтяне,
для Меня не то же, что и эфиопы? –
возвещает Вечный. –
Да, Я вывел Исроил из Египта,
но Я вывел и филистимлян с Крита[b],
и сирийцев – из Кира.
8 Взгляд Владыки Вечного
обращён на грешное царство.
– Я сотру его с лица земли,
но не истреблю потомков Якуба до конца, –
возвещает Вечный. –
9 Я дам повеление просеять народ Исроила,
когда они будут разбросаны среди всех народов,
как просеивают зерно решетом,
и ни один камушек не пройдёт сквозь него.
10 Все грешники средь Моего народа
умрут от меча,
все те, кто говорит:
«Беда нас не постигнет, нас не коснётся».
Возрождение Исроила
11 – Трон Довуда – как разрушенный шатёр,
но в тот день Я воссоздам его,
залатаю в нём дыры,
восстановлю разрушенное,
отстрою, как было прежде,
12 чтобы вы завладели оставшимися в Эдоме
и всеми народами, которые призваны быть Моими, –
возвещает Вечный, Который сделает всё это.
13 Близятся дни, – возвещает Вечный, –
когда вы не успеете покончить с жатвой,
а уже придёт время для нового посева,
не успеете обработать один урожай винограда,
а уже нужно будет готовить лозу для другого.[c]
Молодое вино будет сочиться из гор
и течь со всех холмов.
14 Я восстановлю народ Мой Исроил;
они отстроят разрушенные города и будут в них жить.
Они посадят виноградники и будут пить их вино;
разведут сады и будут есть их плоды.
15 Насажу Мой народ на его земле,
и никогда впредь он не будет исторгнут
из земли, что Я дал ему, –
говорит Вечный, твой Бог.

Israel to Be Destroyed
9 I saw the Lord standing by the altar, and he said:
“Strike the tops of the pillars
so that the thresholds shake.
Bring them down on the heads(A) of all the people;
those who are left I will kill with the sword.
Not one will get away,
none will escape.(B)
2 Though they dig down to the depths below,(C)
from there my hand will take them.
Though they climb up to the heavens above,(D)
from there I will bring them down.(E)
3 Though they hide themselves on the top of Carmel,(F)
there I will hunt them down and seize them.(G)
Though they hide from my eyes at the bottom of the sea,(H)
there I will command the serpent(I) to bite them.(J)
4 Though they are driven into exile by their enemies,
there I will command the sword(K) to slay them.
5 The Lord, the Lord Almighty—
he touches the earth and it melts,(O)
and all who live in it mourn;
the whole land rises like the Nile,
then sinks like the river of Egypt;(P)
6 he builds his lofty palace[a](Q) in the heavens
and sets its foundation[b] on the earth;
he calls for the waters of the sea
and pours them out over the face of the land—
the Lord is his name.(R)
7 “Are not you Israelites
the same to me as the Cushites[c]?”(S)
declares the Lord.
“Did I not bring Israel up from Egypt,
the Philistines(T) from Caphtor[d](U)
and the Arameans from Kir?(V)
8 “Surely the eyes of the Sovereign Lord
are on the sinful kingdom.
I will destroy(W) it
from the face of the earth.
Yet I will not totally destroy
the descendants of Jacob,”
declares the Lord.(X)
9 “For I will give the command,
and I will shake the people of Israel
among all the nations
as grain(Y) is shaken in a sieve,(Z)
and not a pebble will reach the ground.(AA)
10 All the sinners among my people
will die by the sword,(AB)
all those who say,
‘Disaster will not overtake or meet us.’(AC)
Israel’s Restoration
11 “In that day
“I will restore David’s(AD) fallen shelter(AE)—
I will repair its broken walls
and restore its ruins(AF)—
and will rebuild it as it used to be,(AG)
12 so that they may possess the remnant of Edom(AH)
and all the nations that bear my name,[e](AI)”
declares the Lord, who will do these things.(AJ)
13 “The days are coming,”(AK) declares the Lord,
“when the reaper(AL) will be overtaken by the plowman(AM)
and the planter by the one treading(AN) grapes.
New wine(AO) will drip from the mountains
and flow from all the hills,(AP)
14 and I will bring(AQ) my people Israel back from exile.[f](AR)
“They will rebuild the ruined cities(AS) and live in them.
They will plant vineyards(AT) and drink their wine;
they will make gardens and eat their fruit.(AU)
15 I will plant(AV) Israel in their own land,(AW)
never again to be uprooted(AX)
from the land I have given them,”(AY)
says the Lord your God.(AZ)

9 I saw the Lord standing by the altar, and He said:
“Strike the [a]doorposts, that the thresholds may shake,
And (A)break them on the heads of them all.
I will slay the last of them with the sword.
(B)He who flees from them shall not get away,
And he who escapes from them shall not be delivered.
2 “Though(C) they dig into [b]hell,
From there My hand shall take them;
(D)Though they climb up to heaven,
From there I will bring them down;
3 And though they (E)hide themselves on top of Carmel,
From there I will search and take them;
Though they hide from My sight at the bottom of the sea,
From there I will command the serpent, and it shall bite them;
4 Though they go into captivity before their enemies,
From there (F)I will command the sword,
And it shall slay them.
(G)I will set My eyes on them for harm and not for good.”
5 The Lord God of hosts,
He who touches the earth and it (H)melts,
(I)And all who dwell there mourn;
All of it shall swell like [c]the River,
And subside like the River of Egypt.
6 He who builds His (J)layers[d] in the sky,
And has founded His strata in the earth;
Who (K)calls for the waters of the sea,
And pours them out on the face of the earth—
(L)The Lord is His name.
7 “Are you not like the [e]people of Ethiopia to Me,
O children of Israel?” says the Lord.
“Did I not bring up Israel from the land of Egypt,
The (M)Philistines from (N)Caphtor,[f]
And the Syrians from (O)Kir?
8 “Behold, (P)the eyes of the Lord God are on the sinful kingdom,
And I (Q)will destroy it from the face of the earth;
Yet I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob,”
Says the Lord.
9 “For surely I will command,
And will [g]sift the house of Israel among all nations,
As grain is sifted in a sieve;
(R)Yet not the smallest [h]grain shall fall to the ground.
10 All the sinners of My people shall die by the sword,
(S)Who say, ‘The calamity shall not overtake nor confront us.’
Israel Will Be Restored
11 “On(T) that day I will raise up
The [i]tabernacle of David, which has fallen down,
And [j]repair its damages;
I will raise up its ruins,
And rebuild it as in the days of old;
12 (U)That they may possess the remnant of (V)Edom,[k]
And all the Gentiles who are called by My name,”
Says the Lord who does this thing.
13 “Behold, (W)the days are coming,” says the Lord,
“When the plowman shall overtake the reaper,
And the treader of grapes him who sows seed;
(X)The mountains shall drip with sweet wine,
And all the hills shall flow with it.
14 (Y)I will bring back the captives of My people Israel;
(Z)They shall build the waste cities and inhabit them;
They shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them;
They shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them.
15 I will plant them in their land,
(AA)And no longer shall they be pulled up
From the land I have given them,”

9 I saw the Lord standing upon the altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he that fleeth of them shall not flee away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered.
2 Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down:
3 And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them:
4 And though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.
5 And the Lord God of hosts is he that toucheth the land, and it shall melt, and all that dwell therein shall mourn: and it shall rise up wholly like a flood; and shall be drowned, as by the flood of Egypt.
6 It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The Lord is his name.
7 Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? saith the Lord. Have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt? and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir?
8 Behold, the eyes of the Lord God are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith the Lord.
9 For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.
10 All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us.
11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:
12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the Lord that doeth this.
13 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.
14 And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.
15 And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the Lord thy God.
