10 І побачив я, аж ось на небозводі, що на голові Херувимів, було щось, як камінь сапфір, на вигляд подоби трону бачилося на них.
2 І Він промовив до того чоловіка, одягненого в льняне, та й сказав: Увійди поміж колеса під Херувимом, і наповни свої жмені вуглинами огню з-поміж Херувимів, і кинь на місто! І він увійшов перед моїми очима.
3 А Херувими стояли з правого боку дому, коли входив чоловік, і хмара наповнила внутрішнє подвір'я.
4 І піднялася слава Господня з-над Херувима на поріг дому, і наповнився дім хмарою, а подвір'я наповнилося сяйвом Господньої слави.
5 А шум крил Херувимів був чутий аж до зовнішнього подвір'я, як голос Бога Всемогутнього, коли Він говорить.
6 І сталося, коли Він наказав чоловікові, одягненому в льняне, кажучи: Візьми огонь поміж колесами з-під Херувимів, то той прийшов і став при колесі.
7 І Херувим простягнув свою руку з-поміж Херувимів до огню, що поміж Херувимами, і взяв, і дав до жмені одягненого в льняне, а той узяв і вийшов.
8 І показалася в Херувимів подоба людської руки під їхніми крилами.
9 І я побачив, аж ось чотири колесі при Херувимах, по одному колесі при кожному Херувимі, а вид тих колес, ніби вигляд каменя хризоліта.
10 А їхній вигляд подоба одна чотирьом їм, як коли б колесо було в колесі.
11 В ході своїй вони йшли на чотири свої боки, не оберталися в ході своїй, бо до того місця, куди обернеться голова, за нею йшли вони, не оберталися в ході своїй.
12 А все їхнє тіло, і їхня спина, і їхні руки, і їхні крила, і ті колеса були повні очей навколо, всі чотири мали колеса.
13 А ці колеса були кликані при мені Ґалґал.
14 А в кожного чотири обличчі: обличчя одного обличчя Херувима, обличчя другого обличчя людини, а третій обличчя лева, а четвертий обличчя орла.
15 І піднялися ті Херувими. Це та жива істота, яку я бачив на річці Кевар.
16 А коли йшли ті Херувими, то йшли й ті колеса при них, а коли ті Херувими підіймають свої крила, щоб знятись із землі, не відвертаються також ті колеса від них.
17 Коли ті ставали, ставали й вони, а коли ті підіймалися, підіймалися й вони, бо в них був дух живої істоти.
18 І вийшла слава Господня з-над порога дому, і стала над Херувимами.
19 І підняли Херувими свої крила, і знялися з землі на моїх очах, коли вони йшли, а ті колеса побіч них, і стали при вході до східньої брами Господнього дому, а слава Ізраїлевого Бога зверху над ними.
20 Це та жива істота, яку я бачив під Богом Ізраїлевим над річкою Кевар. І я пізнав, що це Херувими.
21 У кожного було по чотири обличчі, у кожного чотири крилі, а під їхніми крилами подоба людських рук.
22 А подоба їхнього обличчя це ті обличчя, які я бачив над річкою Кевар, їхній вигляд та вони самі. Кожен ішов просто вперед.

10 Я подивися й побачив щось подібне до престолу з сапфіру над простором, що був над головами Херувимів. 2 Господь сказав чоловікові в полотняному вбранні[a]: «Іди поміж коліс під Херувимами. Набери повні жмені розжареного вугілля з-під Херувимів і розкидай його по місту». Тож він пройшов повз мене. 3 Херувими саме стояли праворуч[b] від храму, коли чоловік увійшов і хмара оповила внутрішнє подвір’я. 4 Тоді слава Господа піднялася з-понад Херувимів і перенеслася до порогу храму. Хмара наповнила храм, і подвір’я було сповнене сяйвом слави Господа.
5 Звук Херувимових крил долітав аж до зовнішнього подвір’я, як голос Всемогутнього Бога, коли Він говорить. 6 Коли Господь звелів чоловікові в полотняному вбранні: «Візьми вогонь з-поміж коліс, з-поміж Херувимів»,—чоловік увійшов і зупинився поряд з колесами. 7 Тоді один з Херувимів простягнув руку до вогню, що був між ними. Він узяв трохи вогню й поклав у руки чоловіка в полотняному вбранні, а той узяв вогонь і вийшов.
8 Під крилами в Херувимів можна було побачити щось таке, що нагадувало руки людини. 9 Я подивився й побачив поряд з Херувимами чотири колеса, по одному біля кожного з Херувимів; колеса виблискували, мов хризоліт. 10 На вигляд усі чотири були подібні: кожне, мов колесо, що перетинає інше. 11 Коли вони рухалися, то йшли в будь-якому з чотирьох напрямків, куди Херувими поверталися; колеса не оберталися, коли Херувими йшли. Вони йшли в будь-якому напрямку, куди була повернена голова і, йдучи, не оберталися. 12 Всі тіла кожного з них: їхні спини, руки, крила—були вкриті очима, як і їхні четверо коліс. 13 Я чув на власні вуха, що колеса називалися «вихором»[c]. 14 Кожен із Херувимів мав чотири обличчя: одне обличчя—бика[d], друге—людини, третє—лева, і четверте—орла. 15 І Херувими піднялися вгору. God’s Glory Leaves the Temple
10 Then I looked, and there above the expanse over the heads(A) of the cherubim was something like a throne with the appearance of lapis lazuli. 2 The Lord spoke to the man clothed in linen and said, “Go inside the wheelwork beneath the cherubim. Fill your hands with blazing coals from among the cherubim and scatter them over the city.”(B) So he went in as I watched.
3 Now the cherubim were standing to the south of the temple when the man went in, and the cloud(C) filled the inner court.(D) 4 Then the glory of the Lord rose from above the cherub to the threshold of the temple.(E) The temple was filled with the cloud,(F) and the court was filled with the brightness of the Lord’s glory.(G) 5 The sound of the cherubim’s wings could be heard as far as the outer court; it was like the voice of God Almighty when he speaks.
6 After the Lord commanded the man clothed in linen, saying, “Take fire from inside the wheelwork, from among the cherubim,” the man went in and stood beside a wheel. 7 Then the cherub reached out his hand to the fire that was among them. He took some and put it into the hands of the man clothed in linen, who took it and went out. 8 The cherubim appeared to have the form of human hands under their wings.(H)
9 I looked, and there were four wheels beside the cherubim,(I) one wheel beside each cherub. The luster of the wheels was like the gleam of beryl.(J) 10 In appearance, all four looked alike, like a wheel within a wheel. 11 When they moved, they would go in any of the four directions,(K) without pivoting as they moved. But wherever the head faced, they would go in that direction, without pivoting as they went. 12 Their entire bodies,(L) including their backs, hands, wings, and the wheels that the four of them had, were full of eyes all around.(M) 13 As I listened the wheels were called “the wheelwork.” 14 Each one had four faces:(N) one was the face of a cherub, the second the face of a human, the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.
15 The cherubim ascended; these were the living creatures I had seen by the Chebar Canal.(O) 16 When the cherubim moved, the wheels moved beside them, and when they lifted their wings to rise from the earth, even then the wheels did not veer away from them. 17 When the cherubim stopped,(P) the wheels stood still, and when they ascended, the wheels ascended with them, for the spirit of the living creatures was in them.
18 Then the glory of the Lord moved away from the threshold of the temple(Q) and stopped above the cherubim.(R) 19 The cherubim lifted their wings and ascended from the earth right before my eyes;(S) the wheels were beside them as they went. The glory of the God of Israel was above them, and it stopped at the entrance to the eastern gate of the Lord’s house.
20 These were the living creatures I had seen(T) beneath the God of Israel by the Chebar Canal,(U) and I recognized that they were cherubim. 21 Each had four faces and each had four wings,(V) with what looked something like human hands under their wings. 22 Their faces looked like the same faces I had seen(W) by the Chebar Canal. Each creature went straight ahead.

10 Then I looked, and, behold, in the firmament that was above the head of the cherubims there appeared over them as it were a sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne.
2 And he spake unto the man clothed with linen, and said, Go in between the wheels, even under the cherub, and fill thine hand with coals of fire from between the cherubims, and scatter them over the city. And he went in in my sight.
3 Now the cherubims stood on the right side of the house, when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court.
4 Then the glory of the Lord went up from the cherub, and stood over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the Lord's glory.
5 And the sound of the cherubims' wings was heard even to the outer court, as the voice of the Almighty God when he speaketh.
6 And it came to pass, that when he had commanded the man clothed with linen, saying, Take fire from between the wheels, from between the cherubims; then he went in, and stood beside the wheels.
7 And one cherub stretched forth his hand from between the cherubims unto the fire that was between the cherubims, and took thereof, and put it into the hands of him that was clothed with linen: who took it, and went out.
8 And there appeared in the cherubims the form of a man's hand under their wings.
9 And when I looked, behold the four wheels by the cherubims, one wheel by one cherub, and another wheel by another cherub: and the appearance of the wheels was as the colour of a beryl stone.
10 And as for their appearances, they four had one likeness, as if a wheel had been in the midst of a wheel.
11 When they went, they went upon their four sides; they turned not as they went, but to the place whither the head looked they followed it; they turned not as they went.
12 And their whole body, and their backs, and their hands, and their wings, and the wheels, were full of eyes round about, even the wheels that they four had.
13 As for the wheels, it was cried unto them in my hearing, O wheel.
14 And every one had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.
15 And the cherubims were lifted up. This is the living creature that I saw by the river of Chebar.
16 And when the cherubims went, the wheels went by them: and when the cherubims lifted up their wings to mount up from the earth, the same wheels also turned not from beside them.
17 When they stood, these stood; and when they were lifted up, these lifted up themselves also: for the spirit of the living creature was in them.
18 Then the glory of the Lord departed from off the threshold of the house, and stood over the cherubims.
19 And the cherubims lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight: when they went out, the wheels also were beside them, and every one stood at the door of the east gate of the Lord's house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.
20 This is the living creature that I saw under the God of Israel by the river of Chebar; and I knew that they were the cherubims.
21 Every one had four faces apiece, and every one four wings; and the likeness of the hands of a man was under their wings.
22 And the likeness of their faces was the same faces which I saw by the river of Chebar, their appearances and themselves: they went every one straight forward.
